My family and I recently visited the Original Hot Dog Factory at the West End Food Hall, and while the food itself was genuinely enjoyable, the customer service left much to be desired.
We ordered the Chicago and Hawaiian dog combos, and both were fantastic. The toppings were fresh, well-balanced, and applied in moderate proportions that complemented the flavors without overwhelming the dogs. We all agreed that the quality of the food was a highlight of our visit.
Unfortunately, the service did not match the quality of the meal. The cashier never made eye contact as we placed our order, and she completed the transaction while we were still attempting to provide the rest of it. Out of the three combo meals we purchased, we received only three ketchup packets. When we politely asked for more, the request was met with visible irritation. For a family-friendly food hall experience, this interaction was disappointing.
Overall, the food was solid and worth returning for, but the customer service experience needs significant improvement for guests to feel welcomed and valued.
