You don’t need tickets, and there’s a single employee who keeps the entire place spotless. Inside, you’ll find some interesting historical photos and information. It’s located just across from the In-N-Out University, where they also sell all kinds of merch. Definitely a must-stop spot if you’re in the area!

It's a good place to look through the history of your favorite products or brands at least once. It's my favorite fast food burger, and I like French fries because it's crispy with no grease at all and has the same flavor as the raw material. it was nice to see the equipment used to make french fries from the beginning. It was even better because a kind employee introduced the history of the company, took family photos, and heard the stories in the early days. If you have children, I think it's a great event to go and introduce them and have a delicious lunch at the restaurant right next to museum . It was fun and strongly recommend !!!

This tiny (original, yet) replica of the first In-N-Out is so cool! I got a tour and history lesson from the lovely and knowledgeable associate, Lydia. She was fantastic! Thank you for replicating this landmark! (Original was demolished in favor of the 10 freeway.) Only open from 11-2 Thursday-Sunday. *Ask about the cutting board on the toilet (bookkeeping happened there!) and the washing machine (potato washing and drying) on the back porch...

very cool little place to learn a little about the history of Cali's most beloved burger place. might be a bit hard to visit due to the slightly small window of hours they operate on, but it's a very relaxing place to visit and take some pictures. and you can head down the street afterwards to grab a bite and some souvenir at the actual serving location near by.

The replica of the Original In and Out location looks great. It had an employee there that was happy to answer any question we had. Keep doing awesome job!

Current Hours Of Operation: Thursday - Sunday: 11am - 2pm Location/Parking: Located on the SW Corner of Garvey ave. and Francisquito. Parking can be found in their private lot. Ambiance/Decor: Pretty cool ambiance with neat decor vibes. Surprised how the workers were able to work inside. The kitchen area is pretty small. Service: Service was pretty cool. Kenny was quite knowledgeable about the history of In N Out. Museum For Thought: It's a pretty cool museum. Wished they made/serve food at the shop. It would've been totally awesome.

Kenny, the museum docent, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. I have been meaning to check out this place for years and finally had the opportunity while I was back in the area. I brought my 13-year-old Shepherd, and we both enjoyed the experience. I am glad I finally made the visit and would definitely recommend stopping by. There is also a Company Store just down the road, which is worth checking out as well.

Such a great historical background! I came to take some pictures of my daughter in her In-N-Out costume and this was the perfect place. The staff was so sweet and gave so many great tips also. There's parking inside and a easy walk to the In-N-Out down the street.

Come visit the Original In-N-Out Replica, in Baldwin Park. But be aware that this little place is open during limited hours (Thursday through Sunday, from 11 am to 2 pm). Every year, my husband and I, along with our little girl dog take family photos for our annual Christmas card that we send out to our family and friends. We have a lot of themed photo shoots (and we also have some that are not themed) for these special family photos and somehow I decided for this year I wanted our family photo to be of In N Out, at this cute location. So the 2 of us dressed up in the recognizable white and red uniform (and our dog too) with our name tags that I had made online. Then we came to this replica this past Sunday. Please note that there is parking at this location if you want to pull through the gates and find a parking spot. We actually arrived a few minutes before 11 am and was a nice surprise to see that the gates were already open and an employee was already inside. So we were able to set up a little earlier. For the most part, we took about 20 minutes to take photos from various of places and during that time, there were hardly anyone there, so it is very easy to get plenty of people free photos if you wish to do a photo shoot here too (If you look at other fellow Yelp member photos on this Yelp page, you will see that engagement photos were taken here, along with graduation photos too and now you know our family photos were taken here as well). Now if you are interested in the history of In N Out, the first In-N-Out was opened in Baldwin Park in 1948 by Harry Snyder. Inside the little kitchen, you will find the original equipment that is from that very first store (but there are 400 locations throughout the US as of today). This replica was opened in 2014. You may notice that In N Out's logo has two crossed palm trees in it. Well Harry Snyder's favorite movie was Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World, that featured characters racing to find treasure buried under four palm trees planted to resemble the letter W. Because each In-N-Out store is Harry Snyder's treasure, it is a tradition of planting crossed palm trees in front of most In-N-Out locations. The palm trees were also added to the logo during the 1970's. After you make a visit here, you can drive down the street (under the freeway) and grab a burger at the original location and shop at the gift store at Burger U (but please note that the gift store is not open on Sundays) for some cute In N Out merchandise. Visiting this location is free and you can take a brief short tour with the employee. And they can also answer your questions if you have any. Overall, a great little gem worth checking out. And also a hidden place for a unique photo shoot.

I visited the replica of the first In-N-Out drive thru stand and it was pretty cool. Life was simpler back then and that included the drive thru stands. I could imagine how things were selling burgers for a few cents, Harry and his team making a little money but more importantly, making people around them happy in the process. I bet he enjoyed his job. Only 100 square feet in size, it's just enough room for fryers, cook top stove, refrigerator, and counter space. This place is worth a quick visit to see where it all started.

I was so happy to discover this cute spot! It's such a hidden gem. Like many others, In-N-Out has been a frequent stop for my friends, husband and I. When we found out we were nearby the replica, we had to make a stop. There was a worker there named Kenny who showed us the inside of the replica, showed us the map, and answered any questions we had. He was super nice! My husband recently posted about our visit here on social media and a friend commented that they "must make this pilgrimage." Yes! For many Californians and other western States that love In N Out burger, this is the spot and replica of the very 1st In N Out built in 1948. You can find this just off the local freeway in Baldwin Park, CA. Before we came, we first contacted their corporate customer service to confirm the replica's hours of operation that day as it is was little bit of a drive for us. For that Saturday, it is only open from 11 am to 2pm. The inside of the replica is a kitchen with the fryers, equipment, mock burgers and mock ingredients on the kitchen counter. Also on the inside are old photos, memorabilia, stickers for the kiddos, and a paper In N Out hat just like the employees wear. Our guide was the very knowledgeable, engaging, and kind Kenny. He's a perfect guide for the replica as he is passionate about their brand. He also does a later shift at the gift shop or store a block away. If you are a fan of In N Out burger, I recommend a visit to the replica, the In N Out University gift shop, and the actual restaurant just a block away. Do drive over there because it is a block away under the freeway. 5 stars!

Who doesn't like the Californian hamburger place? Even, my husband and I don't eat meat, just fish, we love to go for grilled cheese and Napoleon milkshake. It was so cool to see how was the first place. The company gives an employee to receipt you and he knows the history very well! It is nostalgic but fun to see with your children. How was tiny the restaurant, kitchen! Elvis was as there. It is free!

I loved this place!! I've been meaning to come here for quite some time and I decided to do some tourist things while in the area and made a stop here. The parking lot had ample parking and they was only a few people there when I visited. Being able to step foot inside this replica was like taking a step back into time. The replica is very small and can fit maybe 4-5 people comfortably. They had the vintage potato slicer on display as well as the fryers, coffee pots, soda machines and such. There were also a few vintage photos to look at as well. I liked that they had an employee there to give you a breakdown of the history of the location and answer all questions that you may have. I really enjoyed it here and learning more about my favorite burger spot. I made sure to get lots of pictures and you are also provided with a brochure and sticker. The tour here is free which is a plus but make sure to check the time and days that they are open as it may vary. This is a cool place to check out if in the area and down the street is an actual In-N-Out burger as well as the company store so you can visit all three, it's worth it.

I happened to past by on my day off, so I stopped by to check this place out. This is an unplanned trip. It is located very closed to the freeway. I did not go outside of my car, but I was parked on the side walk to check this place out. They kept it very clean and neat. I did not expected that the original store is so small given the fact that the chain is huge now. I love history and being able to see this fascinate me. The In-n-Out company store is also located around the corner, and I also stopped by to check it out.

This place is cute. Replica of the original in-n-out showing you the original pieces. The museum fits a good 4 person comfortably. It's a nice quick visit if you're in the area. You can also smell the in-n-out from near by too... free hat and stickers!

My brother and I were actually able to go inside the replica In-N-Out stand and found it amazing at how much can be done in such small quarters! The replica had all the appliances necessary to make fries and burgers, with only room enough for 2-3 people. Since this was the 75th Anniversary of In-N-Out, I felt it quite thrilling to be able to tour such a monument in American culinary history. As the back story, we were returning from the 75th Anniversary Festival at the Pomona Drag Strip, which were filled with thousands of In-N-Out fans. The food was available throughout the festival, but the lines were too long and the prices were higher than the regional restaurants. Happy Diamond Anniversary In-N-Out!

I LOVE In-N-Out so coming here and learning more about it was so much fun. The worker that was there told us a lot more about the history of this restaurant and it was super informative. She also gave us stickers! Did you know in-n-out used to sell cigarettes in their drive-thru before?!?

On a Sunday afternoon in late November, my family came to checkout the replica off 10 fwy in Baldwin park. Plenty of parking and nice greeted by the staff person. It's amazing that 6 people are hold to work in the small kitchen. The staff person didn't say much unless I asked a question. It is a short walk to on and out to eat.

This place is awesome and totally worth the visit. It's a small super tiny 10 square feet museum that's open for tours Thursday through Sunday between 11 am to 2 pm only. It's free admission, free tour, and there's a live In-N-Out tour guide that will give you a half-hour overview of their history, how they started, and walk you through all the interior utilities, etc. After the tour, drive (or walk) under the freeway to the other side of the freeway to dine at the real current-day In-n-Out restaurant (location of the original very 1st store), and or visit the In-n-Out Company Store (in the same parking lot) to browse around. It's a nice quick hour or two of fun for anyone who's local, who's passing by on the 10 Freeway, or visitors from out of town. Great trip for little ones or just anyone who loves In-N-Out in general. I used to live down the street from here and never knew. My 7-year-old really enjoyed the visit (did it for a school project) and had a blast.

Came here with my friends and my dog. We got to explore the area, take pictures, and learn about the history of In-N-Out. Also a huge shout out to Lydia, who was super super friendly and was nice enough to run through the history of In-N-Out with us. She was very informative and engaging. Had to pay homage to the pride and joy of California's Burgers. AMBIANCE: Feels: Not in a flashy area of LA County but good ole Baldwin Park/West Covina. Off the freeway and a pretty busy street. The spot itself is clean and well maintained. Great place for photo ops! It's only open on weekdays so be sure to plan accordingly TL; DR OVERALL: 5 Stars. Awesome! This spot is great not only take photos or to see the humble burger spot grow to become the mighty franchise it is today but it's right by an actual In N Out restaurant, souvenir shop and University. TIPS: * Remember - not open on weekends!

I love the replica! I think it is so cute! Visiting was on my list of things to do over summer break. It is open from 11-2, Thursday - Sunday. Lydia was the nice gal inside and she shared the history of the In-N-Out that the replica is based off of. It used to be across the street, before the freeway and street reconfigurations came. It's a cute little stop. I got there around 11:30 and one family was leaving, and as I was leaving, another family came. Not too busy. Bonus: You get a free sticker! I think it is a fun and free thing to do! Visit and then go grab lunch at the nearby In-N-Out and visit the company store. That's what I did!

In-N-Out burger store is ubiquitous in CA. The first original store opened in Oct 1948 at 04:15 pm and was the first burger joint in the state of CA. This tiny store is no bigger than a trailer but it mak3s delicious burger 'n fries. Back then no body cares about calories or the obesity epidemic. Their drive thru was cute as well as their menu. Working area was limited to two staff only. Not to mention it has a mini bathroom! It's prices were relatively affordable. Hours were limited. Parking was easy. Overall, I'm glad I visited this CA food landmark.

This In N' Out is a replica of the original location which used to be located very close by. After it was torn down, a new In N' Out was built where this replica now stands. They are not open everyday. You cannot order burgers here, but seeing how the original In N Out looked was a treat all by itself. There was one employee manning this replica. She was very knowledgeable about the history of In-N-Out, and she was very cool. Did you know their first burger stand opened in 1948? Did you know they used to sell cigarettes? Did you know that the burgers used to cost 25 cents? So many interesting facts about this iconic burger chain. I highly recommend all In-N-Out fans to check out this replica in Baldwin Park, CA where it all started. Don't forget to bring your camera. Also, a block away there is an In-N-Out to visit where you can purchase your burger, fries, and shake! Enjoy this nostalgic trip back in time!

I love love love LOVED our visit to this original replica! I came here for an engagement shoot with my fiancé and our photographer & her husband. We were welcomed by the sweetest, kindest, & friendliest In-N-Out employee (Lydia). She gave us stickers and a pamphlet with some photos & history about In-N-Out. She also told us more background stories of how the palm trees on the cup logo came around and how the construction of the 10 freeway affected the original location (and more!). It was really cool learning more about the company, not to mention how passionate and accommodating Lydia was. She pretty much let us do whatever we wanted and use whatever props was available for our photoshoot. In fact, she encouraged the use of the props inside the little drive-thru building. Fortunately, despite going on a Saturday, we had the place to ourselves for a good amount of time. I highly recommend a visit here for anyone who loves In-N-Out, especially those who are from out of town/state! The company store and an actual restaurant is just across the freeway, so you pretty much get an entire package deal of In-N-Out if you come by!

I loved this replica of the original IN-N-OUT stand. It was super clean, a few parking spots. You can even go inside to see the kitchen. There's always a worker there that can answer question you might have about in-n-out and to help you take pictures. It was the perfect setting for my graduation pictures. If you visit their website, you can learn that First one was open in 1948 by Mr.Harry & Mrs.Esther Snyder and they have been keeping same quality and good service since then. After their death, grand daughter inherited a fortune around $1 billion dollars from them. The unique thing in In and Out is that they do not freeze any food ingredients such as hamburger patty, potatoes etc. They refrigerate those ingredients but not freeze anythIng, so food ingredients are fresh. If you feel french fries are a little bit pultaceous,you can request extra crispy french fries when you order it. Meun is really simple. Doble Double Burger, Chese Burger, Hamburger, French Fries and some beverages. Therefore, they can focus on good quality and taste. It is good success story of selction and concentration. When you order burgers, they alway ask about whether you want to put onions or not. If you concern about smell of onions, maybe you can request grilled onions. If you order by animal style for friench fries, they add thousand island spread and cheese on top of it. If you order protein burger, they wrap hamburger patty by lettuce instead of bread. If you feel a little bit greasy, you can get some Yellow Chili pepper. There are 4x4 and 3x3, which means 4 ham burger patries and 4 cheese some thing lIke that. I really like in and out hamburgers. Hamburger was originated from Mongol. Mongolian put their meat under saddles and Make it soft. After that they transfered this to Hamburg, Germany, and then they eat this soft meat with vegetable and bread like current hamburgers.

Amazing authentic replica of the original location. Lydia, the associate on staff at the museum, was a wealth of knowledge. As an In-N-Out "alum" myself from 2004-2008, I really enjoyed learning about the history of the business and how some things have changed (and some haven't) since it first opened in 1948. i seen this location on instagram a couple of years ago and always wanted to visit. this is the cutest location ever and the employees on site are extremely friendly and highly encourage you to take photos. this location isn't an operating in n out but there is an in n out down the street you can visit to get food!!! i had a photoshoot here with a couple and loved how it turned out!
