Food is 3 stars. Ambiance and experience 4 stars.
I'll talk about the food first since it'll be short. Came here May 26 and instead of having the main chef, he was in the hospital, we had another chef. I'm not sure how good the main chef was, but the fill in chef's cooking was just okay. She just did a quick demo of asparagus starter and a sous vide egg, farm veggie medly stir fry, and a sausage. The starter was just asparagus whooo exciting. The 2nd dish garnered just as much excitement. The premade egg sous vide seemed overcooked and didn't taste like anything special. The fresh off the farm veggie medley was also on the bland side. My sausage was overcooked while lover's saussage tasted quite juicy. What we really like most from the food was their breads and loafs. I liked the strawberry one the most. Thir manasarro farms jam was waayyy too sweet.
Ambiance is super amazing and cute! Ive never been here before and only walked on the outside. I read on the website that the farmers wife designed and decorated everything herself. If she did, than she has superb taste. I love the repurposed and creative way she used mundane old farm equipment and gave it life. As you work around and see something you like, just grab it and pay at the front. Great PR on her part.
Before the breakfast started, they had a table full of breads: sourdough, wheat, their homemade loafs (strawberry, cherry, banana). Everyone pretty much lined up to get the turn at the goodies. Some people hogged the station since they had to butter and put jam on every slice of bread right there instead of placing a bit of each on their plate and spreading it at their own table. About 15 minutes after 1030, the breakfast started. Intro from chef and farmers's wife. Then she had the asparagus demo. Pretty simple stuff, in fact, both dishes she showed was very simple and easy to make. During the breakfast, every table was given champagne, Prosecco kirkland brand, that you can mix with cranberry juice or make mimosas with orange juice. It was cool since it seemed like all you can drink mimosas.
Overall, I would give the experience 3.5 stars since I sometimes found myself wishing they would speed things up. There was alot of time, if you were in a big group, to talk and chat if you're into that sort of thing. Us, we just wanted to see the cooking demo, which they didn't show anything, and food. Still recommended to take your loved ones on and enjoy.
