Restaurant is down the street from the hotel I’m staying and I wanted to try it out. I did go during breakfast/brunch so there was a slight wait. The ambience, when walking in, gives diner vibes… Overall clean, there was a fly that kept bothering me though. I ordered the Western omelette that came with three buttermilk pancakes and a side of country potatoes. Also, you know I can’t forget my coffee. Initially, I wanted the latte, but they were all out of espresso. I was extremely impressed with the omelette, very delicious. I would go back just for the omelette!!! As far as the pancakes, I have had better…they were average and cold. The butter didn’t even melt on them and the potatoes were under seasoned. I had to add salt and pepper to them. If you’re in the area, you can give this place to try for yourself and see how you like it ….

Good breakfast place with a lot of pancake/crepe/waffle options. There are good egg and omelette options too. The food portions were huge, so save your appetite. I had the Irish Omelette, which was huge. It’s just corned beef in egg, which was good. But I would have loved some spinach or onion in there too. My wife had a crepe and that was delicious. The atmosphere is loud, but not too bad.

The Original Pancake House in Norco is our go-to for a fantastic family brunch! The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a meal together. We especially loved the Eggs Benedict — perfectly cooked eggs, rich hollandaise, and deliciously toasted English muffins. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and just what we were looking for. Great service, generous portions, and a menu full of tasty options — we’ll definitely be back!

So today my husband and I along with our son happened to be in the area of this breakfast spot. So we stopped in to try it. Below you see a picture of my order, which was the pancake special. I got wheat pancakes because I’m diabetic and they were very good. But the eggs and hash browns and sausage that came with it were terrible. Nothing was seasoned not even with salt. So I didn’t enjoy anything but the pancakes. Now my husband’s breakfast was delicious. He ordered the potato pancakes with corn beef hash . My son got an omelette with bacon and cheese and it was the biggest omelette I have ever seen. Now as far as service went our server only checked on us once and that was to tell us our food would be out soon. We had been waiting for 30 minutes. So service wasn’t that great. The seating/ tables were to close together because when I had to get up to go to the restroom I really couldn’t scoot my chair back because someone was sitting at the table behind me. But with everything being said I would give them a second chance.

Google
If you're in the Norco are, I highly recommend this breakfast diner. Best tasting coffee, great food, amazing customer service from the moment you check in to the moment you leave. My wife and I have been coming here for the past 3 months on the weekends and have had every server in the restaurant and again all provide the same friendly service.

Dropped by on a Saturday morning and it was packed, despite that, our group (6+) was able to secure a table and got our orders & food in a timely manner. Food was good, the pancakes were fluffy and the omelets were huge, just enough for the price you paid. The mugs were cute and you can purchase them if interested.

Wait time for two early in the am is about 10 min or less. If you come with a large party, plan to wait for awhile. This place has so many good options from sweets to savory. Their apple pancakes are so delicious and good option to take the leftovers for dessert 😅 later in the day! Coffee is so good and I just drink plain black coffee. Service is always great! Staff is helpful and friendly! Manager is always coming around checking on tables.

Yelp
Great spinach crepe but potato pancakes were terrible and they charged us extra for tiny bit of applesauce. 3$. Wow. Wont be back

Yelp
I've always wanted to visit the Original Pancake House, but every time I drove by, the line was out the door, which made me not want to bother. Recently, I decided to give it a try since the line wasn't bad, and even though the inside was pretty packed, I was surprised to be seated fairly quickly. There was plenty of seating which helped the wait time to sit down and it's a very open space inside as well. The waitress was incredibly attentive, making sure I had everything I needed, and she was very friendly. The menu was full of delicious-sounding options, making it hard to choose, but I eventually settled on the Irish Omelette. It features corned beef hash and your choice of cheese--cheddar, pepper jack, or Swiss. You can even mix cheeses together so I got Swiss and pepper jack cheese and it also comes with a side of pancakes. Since the Irish Omelette is freshly made, it took a bit longer to arrive, but it was absolutely worth the wait. It was the fluffiest omelette I've ever seen and that's exactly how all omelettes should be. The combination of Swiss and pepper jack cheeses with the corned beef hash was incredible. Normally, I add lots of salt, pepper, ketchup, and hot sauce to my omelettes, but this one was so good that I barely needed any. The pancakes were just as impressive--light, fluffy, and delicious. They didn't need much syrup, but I couldn't resist drenching them in syrup anyway. I also tried the eggs and bacon breakfast, which came with another side of pancakes and an order of deluxe home-fried potatoes. Everything was cooked to perfection, and the potatoes were especially tasty. Overall, I'm thrilled I finally got to try the Original Pancake House. It's now my new favorite breakfast spot, and I only wish I had visited sooner!

Yelp
We love the meat omelette here. We have had it with ham and bacon. Wanna try it with sausage next. Blueberry pancakes are fab. We want to try the Dutch baby next time. And the bacon waffle. The booths are cute and cozy. It does get busy on the weekends. We joined the waitlist online and that helped.
google avatar

Casaundra L.

Yelp
First time here and it was so good! Bacon sausage and pepper jack omelette was HUGE, delicious and full of meat. Blueberry pancakes with fresh made blueberry syrup were fluffy and sweet, and the side of home style potatoes was crisp and perfectly seasoned. Service was attentive, food tasted super fresh. Loved it!

Yelp
One of our favorites! Food so delicious especially the thick bacon, fresh squeezed OJ, and the coffee makes me exhale! Food portions are pretty big so bring your appetite! Use the join the waitlist, because this place is popular! It's loud, but bright with windows all around and lively inside, with a few TVs, fast paced, and great customer service, management comes around and greets you! Always smiling and friendly, love seeing happy employees! Maybe that's why the portions are big, you leave with a big smile and a big full tummy!! This place is a must try!!

Yelp
We've tried eating here twice. I am not a big fan of chain restaurants, but we had made an exception for the sake of my little pancake eater. The first time was enjoyable, our granddaughter who just happens to have a pancake passion, was our guest. I know she was quite happy with her pancake breakfast. It was a child's meal that included eggs and two meaty strips of bacon. My choice that morning was the Eggs Benedict with spinach and bacon. And I recall I did enjoy it that time. Enough, I was willing to return. Sadly, the second visit was not nearly as memorable. I ordered the same Benedict and it was barely passable this time. The English muffin was rather soggy. The hollandaise sauce lacked much flavor and had no bright lemony flavor. The bacon was too meaty and very tough. Mr. B's reaction to his bacon and egg breakfast was equally disappointing. The portions seem to definitely be smaller. Add to that the inflated prices and the lackluster taste, and we both agreed, this is not a place we will return. Our area has several really good diners nearby, much better offerings than this, and best of all, we usually always bring home leftovers. Not here. I put my money where I get a good return. So I will cross this off my list.

Yelp
We recently came during the morning and it was so delicious. I ordered the crepes with strawberries and they were perfect. My fiancé got the Norco special with pancakes and the pancakes were awesome. He kept saying they didn't taste like regular pancakes, I had a piece and he was right. I asked the waitress if they were made out of sourdough and she mentioned that sourdough discard was used in the pancake batter. They weren't overpowered by the sourdough but they were fluffy and so delicious. I will be returning and I hope my review pursues you to try it out as well.

Yelp
Did not receive everything I paid for. This is the second time its happened. Ordered online grubhub.

Yelp
Tasty breakfast place. I love patronizing this place because they never shut down during COVID, and put Norco on the news. The food is tasty. It is all breakfast food. There are many items on the menu I have yet to try. The chocolate chip pancakes are super tasty for any chocolate lover. It doesn't even need syrup. The breakfast platter (forget the name) - basically eggs, bacon, toast, is very hearty. The eggs were cooked how we wanted them. The toast was good. The best part, the BACON! Oh man the bacon here is super tasty. The strawberry crepes are also good. They give you plenty of strawberries in the crepe. I recall it being a tad on the sweet side. My favorite item is the Swedish pancakes. They are super thin. It reminds me of a crepe, but they are indeed a pancake. It is so good with the butter and the berries. You do not even need syrup. You can order a half order of any pancake dish which is a plus to me. I can never eat all my breakfast food, and I really appreciate a restaurant allowing half orders. Other restaurants do not do this. The coffee drinks are all tasty. I try a new one each time. This place is always super busy. There is always a wait. That tells you the food is good. I docked one star because the service. The last time I went I ordered just a cup of coffee, nothing fancy, and it never came.

Yelp
This was my first time coming to the Original Pancake House. As soon as my friends and I were sat, Perri, our waitress, greeted us with a big smile which was a great sign! I wasn't sure about what I wanted and when I asked what would be a good recommendation, Perri asked about what my preferences were and quickly was able to show me a few options that fit my needs. I decided on having the freshly squeezed orange juice and the Norco omelette with strawberry crepes. Boy! Was the orange juice some of the best I ever had along with the rest of the meal! The strawberries on the crepe were also nice and fresh and the omelette was delightful. To say the least, I will definitely be back and make sure to request Perri as my waitress to ensure I have the best experience back at the Original Pancake House!

Yelp
Really delicious breakfast spot Always used to drive past this place. The inside looks so beautiful compared to outside. Service is always great and fast. Christina was our wonderful server They're hot chocolate is very good & so are all their pancakes. Definitely recommend! Hot tip: On the weekends, join the waitlist on their website & then check in with the hostess inside when you arrive.

Yelp
We sat in Fay's section. She is soft spoken, and very pleasant. We definitely like to sit in her section. She's very friendly, and I've heard other people tell her as much during the visits. we had chocolate chip pancakes, cherry crêpes and a side of corn beef hash with a glass of iced tea and cranberry juice and it was delicious just as expected.

Yelp
Food was hot, portions were good. Service was excellent, lots of people good vibe Very nice space.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here , literally years but I came in on my birthday and ordered the pecan waffle , eggs and bacon & a coffee , mind you , I came in at 1:51 and they still served me , wow is all I can say.. it's so good and the service was great for me coming in so late I wasn't sure if they would still be able to serve me , & the fact that the food still came out fresh and hot & the customer service was so friendly is why I will be back I didn't feel rushed at all ! The waffle was soo good ! The coffee was actually really good and kept me alive the rest of the day lol I will be back !

Yelp
We were deciding between here and the place across the street..we were happy we picked PH! All of the crew we encountered were professional, nice and it had an upbeat clean vibe. Now about the gingerbread pancakes! Delicious!! Our server was Soooo friendly and kind. Her name is Veronica, she said they were good. Coffee refilled. It was just a such nice experience we will be back. Thank you for being a great breakfast find.

Yelp
Got here during prime time Sunday Brunch. Place was busy as expected. You can chose to sit with everyone else, or have them text your phone when your table is ready. The inside was large with plenty of tables throughout which they made good use of space. I ordered the Cornbeef Hash and eggs, with buttermilk Pancakes and a glass of fresh squeezed orange juice and hot chocolate. The food was delicious. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star instead of 5 was because although it was busy, our waitress didn't get us our drinks in a timely manner. And when we did get our drinks, only mine came. My wife had to ask for hers and it came a good 5 mins later. My wife also had to wait for her complete order to come out. It almost seemed like they forgot to put in the order until my wife asked about it. Other than that, our food (when we got it all) was delicious.

Yelp
The food and service at The Original House of Pancakes in Norco is top of the line. The food is prepared well with wholesome ingredients and it takes me back to a time when diners were more concerned with quality rather than profits. The servers and staff who work there care about their customers and always make them feel welcome. The consistant quality and service brings my wife and I back almost every Sunday.
google avatar

Yelp
Love the OPH. The Anaheim location is my favorite but food is great no matter what location.
google avatar

Cesar M.

Yelp
This place was great, this is the second time I visit this location and the service and food were much better. I do understand that this places get packed in the morning and there could be a long line, it was quite the opposite on my last visit, busy, but they were managing just fine. We were seated right away a the service was great. Portions are huge, so keep in mind you may need to bring some back home or share with your party. I will def go back to this place sometime soon. It was a sort of B-Fast date for me and my wife and we both had a great time.
google avatar

Yelp
Custom service was great and food was good definitely have to try the omelets very tasty!
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
One of our families favorite breakfast joints! I've had several different options, while my husband enjoys there apple pancakes I'm a die hard sucker for their Dutch babies! They've definitely shrunk in size (but I guess most things have) The staff is always friendly and attentive!
google avatar

Angelica G.

Yelp
Went here with our family of 6. 4 small kids and 2 adults. We always have the kids share a regular plate and me and my husband order our own plates. We walked out paying $90 which is wild. The plates were okay nothing special but definitely not the best bang for your buck. I guess times have changed in value, definitely would not return only because the price and lack of portion size and wait. Just not worth the bang for your buck but really that's how it is these days.

Yelp
Disappointed! Came back this past Sunday for brunch again with my wife. The restaurant was packed and super busy, but we got seated immediately which was a plus. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. I ordered the corned beef hash breakfast meal and my wife ordered the chicken fried steak. I asked for extra onions to be mixed in my corned beef hash. Our waitress told me that the corned beef hash is a premix but they can add chopped onions in the top. I am not a restaurant professional, but maybe you don't tell your customers that the $18 meal is coming out of a premix can. And it does not seem like a lot of extra trouble to simply mix the onions into the corned beef hash on the griddle as it cooks. I mean you just scooped it out of a can. But apparently it is too much work. My wife's chicken fried steak patty was such a small portion that it looked like it belonged in a fast food sandwich. She immediately identified that the current version of this meal was not the same portion size nor equal quality. The size was much smaller, probably by at least half and the quality was poor. She asked me to taste it and it was rubbery and the batter crust was flavorless. As a matter of fact the frozen chicken fried steak that I have purchased at Costco/Sam's was much better in every way.. taste, texture and portion size. Unfortunately, this $40 meal + tip (no drinks, food only) was way subpar and no where near our first few experiences here. We won't be returning anytime soon.

Maren R.

Yelp
Everything is great here! From always being welcomed at the door to the servers sincerely happy to have you. We came Sat: had the strawberry crepes -so delicious! with a side of ham, the blueberry waffles with a side of whipped cream & fresh strawberries. The waffle was perfectly cooked with lots of berries in the waffle. We love seeing how the staff helps each other, & the manager passes through to say hello. Always a treat for us.

Yelp
Pretty good breakfast place! I had never been here before but my cousin recommended it and we came here for breakfast together. The decor was cute and everything looked clean and country! Service for a large party was pretty good as well! Food was yummy and well priced.

Yelp
What a great place to enjoy breakfast! I've only been there about 3 times. And I always say to myself, "why don't I come here more often"! If you're not a fan of omelettes, this place will surely make a believer out of you. The costumer service is very warm and welcoming. There's a type of buzz about this place that I can sense. I'm pretty sure it's everyone's excitement about the food they're about to devour. So I like the environment they've created. Your life isn't complete yet if you haven't been to this restaurant. So do yourself a favor and get you some asap! lol oh my favorite is the bacon pancakes. And the chicken waffle plate is crazy! I'll be back in a couple weeks for sure!
google avatar

Jorge H.

Yelp
The Original Pancake House has the best bacon and pancakes. Fluffy and moist pancakes are always good.
google avatar

Arias A.

Yelp
During the weekend when we are in the area, my teenage daughters and I enjoy stopping by for some delicious breakfast. After our recent visit, my daughters and I felt beyond uncomfortable when the short very dark skin busboy could not remove his seductive eyes off my girls. This made my daughters and myself feel beyond uncomfortable. I comprehend that looking at someone is not a crime however it sure makes people feel uncomfortable to the point that we will not patronize this business again. To make matters worse, instead of him cleaning or doing his job, he kept chatting and flirting with the other staff. I truly believe that this employee needs to have a reevaluation or better yet, fired!!!
google avatar

Lindsay M.

Yelp
The BEST pancakes in the world, Matt the manager is like family and is always making sure his staff is good and the customers are well taken care of. Perri was our server and she's great, personable, funny, and fast with the service, never wait for refills.
google avatar

Joselyn D.

Yelp
I'm a bit conflicted with this restaurant. The wait to be seated was dreadfully long, and the service we got once we were seated from our waitress felt indifferent. Almost judgmental honestly. Maybe this particular waitress was having a long morning but to act like this towards all her tables was completely uncalled for. But now the reason we all felt conflicted after our visit was because the food was great! Shoutout to the kitchen staff because they did such an awesome job with our food. From the Florentine to the chorizo scramble to even just the pancakes. Everything was delicious and filling. We even ordered a cinnamon roll for the table and although it wasn't the size of a plate as described it was still pretty good. Based on previous reviews and from my experience it seems like they have a lot to work on in the wait times and customer service. But the kitchen staff knows what they're doing so there's that.

Yelp
Sat down, it was medium busy. It was easily manageable for a decent crew of folks with experience to handle. 2 adults 1 child, ordered and omelette, kids French toast, and a side of sausage, bacon and potatoes. Waited for 40 minutes, kids French toast came out and a side of bacon. Waited another 20, rest of food came out and at that point we had to box it and leave. We expressed we were in a bit of a rush, no harm no foul. We should have accounted for a busy house. Server expressed his apologies for the wait, appreciated. What I won't abide, is the next 15 minutes waiting for the check, I had to get up and chase him down. I'll never return... sad, been coming here for 20 years.
google avatar

Jennifer C.

Yelp
Met my cousin and goddaughter for brunch here today. We were immediately greeted, seated and given menus. I ordered a coffee, and the spinach & cheese omelette, which came with 3 pancakes. I loved the cute coffee mug however, my meal was just ok and something I could've made at home (and better). I recommend coming here if you have time for a leisurely meal and don't feel like cooking.
google avatar

Michelle W.

Yelp
First time coming here, super busy but the wait was only 20 mins. Service was great from start to finish. Great breakfast spot if your looking for a variety. I did wish they had turkey bacon, only turkey sausage. The diversity of the customers was great! The coffee mugs are the cutest. Everything was great. Try the country hash, super yummy when you mix your eggs in it. My eggs were over cooked which I don't like, you never want to see brown on your eggs but it was still good. We will for sure be back.
google avatar

Breana M.

Yelp
Courtney provided an amazing service to us today! We honestly love her. She really knows how to make us feel like family here she fits right in with us. Shout out to Matt for making the watermelon water drink that I was begging to have! Love it here!!! Thank you Matt and Courtney

Yelp
Solid breakfast spot in norco. I've been here twice and both times ive had a lovely experience. The staff is very friendly always willing to offer a suggestion. The coffee is always fresh and the pancakes are delicious. You can't go wrong with pancake house.
google avatar

Alex P.

Yelp
The first time here and it was not too bad. I ordered the Hawaiian pancakes, bits of pineapple, and covered with coconut flakes and a side of bacon. My friend got an omelet with pancakes and potato bits. The food was great and tasted the best. Service started good and got worse. Trying to get her to get refills or whatever became impossible. Go for the food and get over the service and you'll have an okay experience.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife wanted to go to the OPH this morning for an Apple Pancake. The last time we were here was a disaster. The last time, she also ordered the Apple Pancake and it came out burnt. They remade it and the second one was more burnt than the first one. This time though, it was perfectly cooked. My Norco Scramble was plentiful and the pico on top added freshness and flavor. We also ordered a cinnamon roll that was also pretty good. Quite a bit more expensive than the last time we were here but overall, a MUCH better experience than our last visit. Would definitely return next time my wife craved the Apple Pancake.
google avatar

Jim B.

Yelp
I have a previous review that you can use to help you with the determination to try the OPH. I wanted to now add that today I went again and this time I wanted pancakes, I usually do not have them because of the white flour used. To my delight I was informed by my excellent server that they have buckwheat pancakes! Woo Hoo! They were so delicious I was not expecting this. So to those of you out there that would like non white flour pancakes the OPH is your place to get 'em! They also have an awesome expresso menu! Give them a try you will be very pleased with the service, food and country farm atmosphere.
