I've been a fan of rainbow cone since my first time having it at Lollapalooza 12 years ago and was so excited when they expanded and opened stores everywhere.
Now my son 2.5, is just as obsessed with Rainbow Cone, he ask for it everyday.
My poor review for this location is attributed to the service I received this Saturday by Lasly M. Three things went wrong 1. She refused to sell us a baby Rainbow Cone, and said that was for people who purchased kids meals only, which is a rule I had never heard before and I was extremely surprised by it as I was getting the cone for my son, who I had purchased off the regular menu for. 2. Like previously mentioned I've been enjoying rainbow cone for over 12 years, so I know that previously the original location would refuse to make changes to the rainbow come due to trademarks, but ever since they expanded, I've had no issues requesting for double pistachio, and the staff is useless very friendly. Lesley refused to make any changes, without explaining why or offering an alternative. 3. I purchased three Rainbow Cones, and each of them was at best what the lombard location would describe as a small or medium rainbow cone. Again, I go to rainbow cone multiple times a week so I know how they "should" look.
I don't know what this woman's problem was with us, but she ruined our Saturday ritual. I didn't complain in store, because I wanted to protect my sons feelings about his favorite ice-cream place.
Needless to say, I will be doing my best to avoid the Skokie location moving forward.
