Rolled Ice Cream Barrels Into Centennial This Week - Eater Vegas

"Thai-inspired frozen desserts made a big splash in Las Vegas, and now purveyors Rolled Ice Cream plan to open a third location this week, this time in Centennial. The location at 7920 W. Tropical Pkwy. in the massive Centennial Center sits next to a Port of Subs and Cinnaholic, just a short walk away. Customers choose ice cream ingredients that are mixed together and spread into a thin layer on a flat pan, cooled to -32 degrees. Once frozen, staff rolls the ice cream into a cup. This 1,106-square-foot location plans to be open daily from 1 to 10 p.m. Assorted candies, fruit, and even potato chips make an appearance on the impressive menu. The Elvis features Nutter Butters, peanut butter, and bananas while the Cookie Crazy uses Famous Amos and Oreo cookies. Also on the way, a location in Henderson on Stephanie Street, planned to open and the fifth outpost, headed to Spring Mountain Road in Chinatown. Both plan early 2018 arrivals. The chain launched in Spring Valley last year and expanded to Eastern Avenue last year." - Susan Stapleton

Google
Came in to try it since it was a hot day. Looked up the menu online, and the Horchata Churro piqued my interest. It was real good and refreshing on a hot day.

Google
Ice cream is really good, but the service was poor. They’re more interested in talking with eachother over acknowledging you. Haven’t had problems prior, which is why it’s three stars. Just disappointed at this experience.

Google
Wow! Explains it all. Food: Amazing Service: great Price: great Won’t lie whoever owns it is evil, so much work goes into making this amazing sweet treat. A lady was getting a party pack and the guy was doesn’t them back to back. I can only imagine being sore after doing it all day and I’m a weight lifter/trainer. Hopefully they are compensated well, we tipped because Alisha deserved it (before we even tasted) and the price is reasonable. Overall very satisfied and hate to admit I will visit more than I should.

Google
They are always out of something. It can be napkins or it could be whip cream. They also took away majority of the tables. There only one table with 4 seats. The ice cream is good when they have the product in stock.

Google
Tried this for the first time today we have heard a lot about rolled ice cream but have never tried it and it was absolutely AMAZING!! They have a ton of flavors to choose from such as fruit flavors, cookies and cream, toffee coffee which is what I tried today, and many more. They also have drinks and cookies. Our ice cream was rolled by Alisha she did an amazing job and we were so impressed because it doesn’t look like an easy task making it or rolling it. The ice cream was soooo good and flavorful! Definitely will be coming back!

Google
The line moves very quickly and watching your rolled ice cream being made is a delight! I ordered birthday cake. It brought back childhood memories at first bite! So yummy! Will return to try more menu items!

Google
At first I thought this was just a gimmick, but boy was I wrong! The ice cream here is REALLY good. I walked in and was impressed by the variety of flavors you can choose from. You can either choose one of their base creams and the add ins (fruit, candy, etc) or they have some pre-thought out flavor combos you can pick. My wife and I shared the Horchata Churro and my daughter got the standard cream with strawberry and raspberry mixed in. The process of making the ice cream is fascinating to watch. The final product has a light feel to it and the flavor is fantastic. I highly recommend!

Google
Me and my hubby came in with no idea what to expect. Loved the people loved the ice cream and it seemed overwhelming at first but I think we found our favorite spot to go to now for ice cream, it was delicious! I had the strawberry shortcake with fruity pebbles and he had the original cheesecake

Yelp
There used to be a rolled ice cream by me, but unfortunately that closed and the only location I know of is in the northwest side of town at the centennial shopping center off of Azure and 215. I try to come here when I'm at this side of town. It's hardly busy when I'm here. Service is pretty fast. The lady making the ice cream is very friendly and skilled at making rolled ice cream. They have an assortment of unique flavors. There is only 1 size. My go to is the cereal and cream with frosted flakes. It literally tastes like milk and cereal. Today I also got the smores flavor. There's an art to making rolled ice cream. The consistency of rolled ice cream is different from traditional ice cream. Since it's rolled into thin layers, it gives it a lighter flavor and texture versus a thick serving with traditional ice cream. I also think that the ice cream is a lot creamier than regular ice cream. I live on the opposite side of town from here, but the ice cream was packaged nicely.

Yelp
They have so many flavors. I got pistachio and it was amazing. Made with real, crushed in front of you pistachios. Rich and creamy with a fun new thin texture. My friend got a cereal based one which was very sweet. If you have a sweet tooth, go for the cereal based one. Very fun to watch them make it as well.

Yelp
I really liked this place. So many different ice cream places but this one is legit. Really is rolled iced cream. Better than cold stone. Select your flavor or cream and your toppings. Many many choices. Lots of fruits, cereals, cookies, Oreos, and candies. For me it was cookie dough and Heath. Chop and mix the toppings, ad the cream. Mix and spread and then scrape mixture up which rolled it. Super good. Seems labor intensive and these employees work hard. Could have been more satisfied. Exceeded expectations. Cool little store. Employees were awesome. Hard working and friendly. Table and several chairs for seating. Close to $8 each and definitely worth it. The three of us were happy with the experience. We'll definitely be back.

Yelp
My son had been asking to get some rolled ice cream. This is the closest place to us. Walked in and it was not busy, likely because it was 45 degrees outside. The young man and young woman who were behind the counter were very friendly and polite. My son ordered the cookies & cream, they were not tight with the Oreos and he loved it. I wasn't going to get anything, but decided to try the mango & chamoy. I asked for extra chamoy & tajin. It was good. I ended up getting my husband the horchata churro. He also said it was good. It really did taste like a churro. So, the employees were super friendly and talkative with us, which I appreciated. The place looked clean with exception to some boxes they had stacked on a table towards the back. I would think they would want to put that stuff in the back. There were also no tables or chairs. It's like they don't want you to stay and eat it there. There are not various sizes, just one size at $8.99 per cup for featured flavors. Total came out to $29 and change, add in the 20% tip and the total was almost $35! In my opinion, that is way over priced for ice cream. I will not be buying again, however, my son enjoyed it, and I would take him back if he wanted it again.

Yelp
I'm not sure why I've waited so long, however, this was my first time having rolled ice cream and I was very impressed with the whole process. There were a lot of choices to choose from on the menu, and the staff definitely put in work rolling the ice cream to perfection. It does take some time to make each individual order, but it is definitely worth the wait. It was absolutely delicious & far exceeded traditional ice cream.

Yelp
If your looking for a great ice cream spot then Rolled Ice Cream so the place. As soon as we can win we were greeted and there was only one person in front of us. I hear it gets really busy during the weekend. Upon ordering you choose your flavor of ice cream, I went with coffee. Then you choose your toppings, I added Oreos, brownies and cookie dough and a drizzle of chocolate when it was done being rolled. was so delicious. Definitely will be coming back
google avatar

Denny M.

Yelp
This is such a cute place and a cool idea. I'm guessing the icecream is delicious. It sure looks that way! The problem....they had ONE employee. It literally took 20 minutes to make the first customer's icecream. The person behind her ordered 3 bowls. I waited another 20 minutes....she had finished one of the 3 bowls. There's just no way I can come in and wait over an hour to get icecream when there's only 3 customers in the building. Might be a good idea to have more than one employee. I left with no icecream and definitely will not return.

Yelp
Lovely treat and a great place to just chill with someone; even for a date after dinner. I would certainly love that. Like the flavors and the service was pretty fast. Would recommend.

Yelp
I love the cream in my mouth! It makes me feel so good! Great service and helpful! Will come back for more cream! Fill me up with the cream!!!!!!!

John S.

Yelp
My nephew wanted to try something different so we stopped by. Greeted as soon as we entered. Staff was extremely helpful as I had no idea what to expect. We really enjoyed our choices and will definitely be going back. Thank you for the enjoyable experience.

Yelp
CLOSED MONDAYS i came home for the holiday and the one by my parents closed during the pandemic drove over an hour to get it since online the hours say open EVERYDAY 1-9 just an FYI (: UPDATE YOUR HOURS

Yelp
Rolled ice cream is quite the experience!!!! This is super tasty!!! They make the ice cream in front of you and literally roll it into mini rolls. The ice cream is made with their in house cream and flavors of your choice. They have traditional ice cream flavors as well as unique fruit and candy flavors. We ordered the strawberry cheesecake, coffee brownie, birthday cake, and lemon strawberry. They all taste how they sound, very true to flavor. My recommendation is to ask what toppings they put in it, and what toppings you could put in it. There's options such as adding cake, brownie, cereal, graham cracker. Think of cold stone but instead, it's like nitro rolled ice cream. Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed!

Justice T.

Yelp
We typically come for the vegan option for our son who has an allergy but the last 4 times we have come they are out or say they don't offer vegan options when it states on their site that they do, we also have tried to call every time before coming to check first and they never answer the phone.
google avatar

Tamara R.

Yelp
They never disappoint!! Not with customer service and not with the ice cream. I could eat here everyday. Side note: let's make that military discount 10% :)
google avatar

Celina C.

Yelp
Love the ice cream, but that's twice now I've travelled 20 minutes to find out it's closed. It says open online but when I get here there is a ripped up paper that has a different time. Please update your websites to portray the appropriate store hours.

Yelp
My husband enjoyed Rolled Ice Cream a lot, because I know my husband, and I made sure to get all his favorite things. Me, on the other hand......I was so mad! I really wanted a mango sherbet type of ice cream and I was craving sweets so much that night. Look, I had no idea what Chamoy was. That's my fault, then. But jeez dude I wish so badly that there were pictures, because I just felt so regretful when it arrived. The only thing that made that flavor bearable was how much fruit boba that I put on it. It was Chili Powder Ice Cream on a night I was really craving sweets. Ugh!!!!! Look maybe I'm the dork for not knowing what Chamoy was. But that flavor was really awful. Really bitter, I couldn't finish it, I felt like I wasted my money, and my husband had to comfort me because I was JUST SO MAD. ‍ Again, my husband loved his cotton candy sprinkle paradise combo that I got him, but I didn't love this place at all, and the result of this whole ordeal is that I most likely will not be ordering again from here.
google avatar

Kitty C.

Yelp
The people here are extremely nice and love the ice cream and experience. And extremely well priced for what you get. This is my favorite spot in the northwest part of Vegas to get ice cream!

Yelp
Don't usually get sweet treats, but when I do, it's on a whim and for the sake of someone else I'm with. My initial thought was trying out a treat that I've only ever seen online through viral videos and whatnot. Sad to say, I noticed that they don't really clean the ice tops between orders, which is... "whatever", except when in case of food allergies. I ordered the S'mores and when I got it, waited for my sister's order to finish and head to car before I tasted it. Thankfully, I DONT have an allergy to mint, but the cross contamination of mint flavoring into my s'mores flavored ice cream put me off to not even turn around to have it redone. They had an hour before closing up so maybe I just came at a bad time? Maybe they don't usually just do orders back to back on the same top without thoroughly cleaning it? Idk. Never experience this at cold stone or any other place that uses ice tops. :/ the service was great but this isn't the greatest first impression. At least my sister enjoyed her custom made order.
google avatar

Yelp
Delicious and friendly and when you're lucky it's also entertaining!! The flavor combos are ENDLESS

Yelp
Love this place ! Definitely one of my favorite dessert spots . Enjoy seeing your favorite dessert be made

Yelp
I'm so happy to find this place close to us. We used to drive 30 mins away for some rolled ice cream. It is weird that I most likely crave it on winter time. I always tried different flavor all the time. This time we did red velvet and banana. They are so good we ate them right away. The staff are also very friendly and made sure if we needed toppings or anything else with our ice creams

Yelp
Wow!! I loved Rolled Ice Cream!!! I was craving a sweet treat and decided to stop by Rolled Ice Cream! This particular Rolled Ice Cream location is located in the Centennial Plaza. You can get to the Centennial Plaza by either taking the 215/Durango (NW), or 95/Buffalo exit (south-bound), or 95/Ann (north-bound). Rolled Ice Cream shares a private lot, next to several other restaurants and local businesses. Inside Rolled Ice Cream, on a Wednesday evening, was relatively relaxing. There wasn't many people inside. 2 team members were assisting customers with their Rolled Ice Cream orders. My boyfriend and I waited about 10 minutes before placing our order. My boyfriend ended up getting a advocado/strawberry and cream [large] order while I ordered the birthday cake [small order], no sprinkles and chocolate syrup/whip cream. The team member whom was creating the order was pretty awesome! He really combined the ingredients well and rolled it perfectly. The process is really interesting to watch. They combine the sweet cream and ingredients, flatten it with a spatula, and roll it out. The price wasn't too bad for a large and small order, under $12.00. Inside Rolled Ice Cream is the option for bar stool seating, and several booth style tables. We ended up sitting at the bar stool seating to eat the Rolled Ice Cream! It was quite flavorful and delicious! I could really taste the "birthday" style flavoring. The whip cream and chocolate syrup was a nice added touch! The team at Rolled Ice Cream was super helpful and friendly! If you're looking for a sweet treat, and haven't checked out Rolled Ice Cream yet, you should try it, at least once!

Yelp
Okay first off I'm totally in shock over some of these bad reviews! This place is probably one of my favorite ice cream places! There's endless ways to customize your rolled ice cream plus it's SUPER clean , friendly staff and the vibe is so fun and upbeat ! Some of the staff even does tricks with the tools they use to roll the icecream it's so cool ! I would 10/10 recommend if you're looking for some yummy fresh but also not too rich in flavor of ice cream. The experience alone is awesome !

Yelp
Rolled ice cream, located in centennial hills in the Walmart plaza. There is parking right in front of the location and it was not busy when I went in. This establishment is a trendy ice cream place, similar to cold stone creamery, however not nearly as good. They put liquid down on a cold slab and as the name implies, them scrape in sections and roll your ice cream into what looks like fruit by the foot. You can put mix ins into the ice cream as they're making your favorite flavor as well. The place is basically run by teenagers, and it was a little dirty when I visited and the staff seemed preoccupied with other things. It didn't seem like anyone was having fun working here, that's for sure. For the price you're paying here for ice cream, I think there are better options available.

Yelp
ACTUAL STAR RATING: 3.5 Before you read further, understand that I am an ice cream traditionalist. Don't give me bells and whistles, fancy cups, toppings, or new-fangled ways to make ice cream look "pretty" in the cup or on a cone. Give me quality, great-tasting, flavorful, less sugar, and more creamery ice cream. And I prefer it in a cup so's not to have the cheap sugar cone interfere with what should be an almost religious experience. And so, because of my very unique opinions on the subject of ice cream, I can seldom be satisfied with today's less than old-time ice cream. Whew, now that I've prefaced my position on ice cream, let's get down to it about Rolled Ice Cream (and Yogurt) on Tropical Pkwy. I've had Rolled Ice Cream where I live out in Mountains Edge off of Blue Diamond. That Rolled Ice Cream (temporarily closed) wasn't very good, so I didn't besmirch it with a bad review. Last night after dinner, we searched around for somewhere to get decent ice cream. The "standards" (no need to mention their names) are not places where I ever go anymore as their quality has completely gone downhill. Somehow we ended up at Rolled Ice Cream on Tropical Pkwy. I didn't order my own ice cream, to be fair. Only the family did. But I did taste everyone's, and that's how I can review this Rolled Ice Cream properly and fairly. Of the different flavors, only the vanilla was decent enough for me to have consumed. The chocolate, chocolate chip, and strawberry were so laden with sugar that I found them inedible. If it were only me, I would have given two, maybe even 2.5 stars at most. But the real critics of the night were the kids, and they all liked the ice cream and how the staff rolled it, as well as the whipped cream, syrups, sprinkles, and assorted other accouterments. So being magnanimous (and fair), I'm going to give this ice cream parlor the four stars the kids said it deserved, but reduce a half star because I know how bad and sugar-laden the ice cream really was. Now that wasn't too one-sided, was it? REVIEW AT A GLANCE RECOMMENDED: Okay SERVICE: Fair to good PRICE: Reasonable COVID: Practices pandemic regulations. PARKING: Convenient REASON/INTENT: Ice Cream dessert for the kids (not kiddoes)
google avatar

Jennifer T.

Yelp
I absolutely love this place! There's so many different options on the menu to choose from, and you even have the option to create your own! Every time we've come here, the staff is super friendly and accommodating. The tables inside to sit at have never been dirty, nothing is sticky (like some other local ice cream shops). Definitely one of my favorite places in centennial hills to grab a fun dessert! 10/10!!!!

Dawn H.

Yelp
While this place has some really good creations, the service could be a little better. The kids working here could definitely use some supervision.
google avatar

Marianne S.

Yelp
Very delicious! Perfect for that sweet snack especially on a hot day. Their service was fast and friendly. They have a variety of flavors, which is great.
google avatar

Jessica S.

Yelp
Ice cream is amazing! Pistachio with Almonds my favorite with whip. Be patient as only one or two making it.
google avatar

Ashtan O.

Yelp
Came here on a Thursday night. Cam was our "roller"? Ordered the cookie butter with Oreos and whip cream and the s'mores. It was fast and delicious. Service was quick and the employees were joyful. Would come again!

Rochelle R.

Yelp
Definitely, tried this because of the TikTok and YouTube Shorts trend. It looked cool and was fun watching the workers make the creations. The portion was well priced. The service was great and friendly. However, the ice cream didn't taste good at all. It's sort of like if you got a milkshake from a famous fast food restaurant that started with M, then decided you save some for later and stick it in the freezer, and forgot about it for months.
google avatar

Taimane N.

Yelp
My kids love it here! Tons of flavors and toppings to choose from and they love seeing it made right in front of them. If they have a lot of customers there might be a bit of a wait, but it's honestly because they are literally making, rolling and creating the ice cream as you order it!
google avatar

Wendy G.

Yelp
Out of world experience!!!! This is my favorite Ice Cream place and after experiencing it again with Jen and Dom as the workers it was 10000x even better. Doms playlist was great. They both had excellent customer service. It was such a vibe. PLEASE put the pumpkin pie on the menu it was bussin!!!
google avatar

Cortney A.

Yelp
Innovative af! I'm uncertain how most "roll" but I like my ice cream enjoyable and Rolled Ice Cream is on a whole new level of creativity. The employees seem overwhelmed and to be honest I was to with the entire process. Intriguing as it was watching the young lady create my order, the cream used to manipulate the ice cream was not as delightful as I imagined. If your "curious" check it out. Once is definitely enough for this kitty! (Meow)
google avatar

Carla T.

Yelp
They need to update their hours. They are closed on Monday. Says open on Yelp. Their door hours say open on Monday 2-9. But they closed. They have a paper up saying that they are closed on Monday now.
google avatar

Iyana M.

Yelp
5 stars for the cereal cookie! this is the only reason i visit this place!!! the lucky charms one is to die for

Anastasia H.

Yelp
COLTEN WAS AMAZING GIVE THIS BOY A RAISE ASAP!!! He really took his time to help me build my ice cream and he gave great suggestions.
google avatar

Laura K.

Yelp
This was our first time having rolled ice cream, and I'm not sure there will be a second time. The guy making our ice cream was new, so he was a little slow, and was being coached through it. That's fine, we were all new at our jobs once. I got the s'mores ice cream. I was disappointed that the entire bowl only included 1 fun size Hershey bar and half a graham cracker. Because the ratios were so off, there wasn't much flavor in the end product. But what was really disheartening was that the guy didn't see after he was done mixing he tossed 1/4 of my chocolate down the drain. My husband got the cookies and cream, and again, the ratios were so off that his was bland as well. At least all his ingredients made it in. If this is normal rolled ice cream, I'm good, I don't need it again. If somewhere else is generous in their mix-ins, someone message me with that place.
google avatar

Corinna M.

Yelp
The family finally checked out this new dessert place last night after hearing so much buzz about "rolled ice cream". Be aware that the lines and the wait can be loooong. However, this is because the staff is hand-making your orders and each one takes about 3-5minutes to prepare. Amongst the 4 of us, we ordered strawberries n brownies, coffee n brownies, candy n cream, cookies n cream. I found them to be too sweet, but my kids loved it. Go figure! My favorite one was the strawberry creation which wasn't overly sweet. It is a really cool concept to watch how the ingredients transform into ice cream right in front of you on top of a frozen tray and they roll your dessert into a piece of art. The staff must have guns of steel after spending all shift doing this...it looks like quite an arm workout! We each ordered a small cup which cost $6 per person. Overall, the ice cream was tasty and it's a neat concept, but I guess I"m more nostalgic and prefer a good old-fashioned scoop of ice cream on a cone. Plus, I think the cost is a little steep given there are other options not too much farther away. However, kudos to the business owner for trying to bring something different to the northwest.
google avatar

Ryan U.

Yelp
Paid for a s'mores bowl that was supposed to include a toasted marshmallow and s'mores topper. It costs extra compared to making your own and then paying extra for toppings. But the girl working behind the counter said after making it that the s'mores topper and marshmallow weren't included and cost extra. Huh? This is either a mistake on her part for false advertising. Was too annoyed to enjoy the ice cream. Won't ever go back.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time Friday Night. I think the experience is what is awesome about this place. Watching them through the cream melting and rolling process is pretty interesting! I think going here once in a blue moon would be best for me. More of a novelty. My husband and I got 2 small ice creams and it was almost $15.00. We went on a Friday around 7:30pm and the line was out the door. This wouldn't be a regular ice cream spot for me just based off the price and the wait but the taste was good. I got the cookies and cream!

Miriam V.

Yelp
My husband and I called around 8:30pm to ask what time they were open till and nobody answered. We checked the website and it states 10pm. We arrived around 9:15pm and the doors were open. Inside, one employee was cleaning and the other one standing there talking to two friends. The lady cleaning immediately tells us they are closed already and we show her the paper they have outside their door that states they close at 10pm. She responds with "oh we need to update that". We tell them to take that sign down because it's misleading and as soon as we leave, they put it back up. If you really close early, why would you put the sign back up? They also locked their door right after we left but their friends stayed inside for a bit longer. I then went back and asked for the manager/corporates contact information. The lady responded with "I am the manager and there is no contact for corporate or anyone". This place needs to update their business hours and answer their phone so people don't waste their time driving there for no service. If anyone has contact information for a district manager or someone from corporate, I would appreciate a call.

Joanna R.

Yelp
update your damn hours !!! so stupid i drive 25 min just to see that i missed it by 10 min. they say they close at 10 pm but when you get there they are closed at 9pm smh DO BETTER
google avatar

Kim R.

Yelp
I LOVE how they offer the variety cup! I went in kind of late but they still had 9 flavors to choose from. The Elvis flavor was my favorite along with the flavor of the day which was nut butter. The customer service was great and I love that they offer a discount when you check in with yelp. The flavors were not as rich or sweet as other ice creams and the texture was a little different than conventional ice cream. Regardless It was really good and it's a fun experience!
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
Definitely the spot for some Ice Cream. I love that they made the Strawberry Fields with Almond Milk instead of actual dairy. I could eat ice cream without the dairy which is always so nice. Thank you for having dairy free options! This ice cream though is so good and it stays so cold. I'll definitely be back again.

Joseph W.

Yelp
Great Treat! Service was exemplary! I love all the topping combinations and variety!!

Jeremy J.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing service. The people working were very funny and we had a great time for the 2 hours we were there. The food was delicious as well. I got Reese's butter butter I cream with crushed butter butter and a Reese's on top and it was amazing. And the ambience is the place was so cool and chill and you could feel kinda cozy at the same time. Absolutely amazing the employees were amazing and looked like they actually liked their job. Would 100% take everyone I know there.
google avatar

Jasmine T.

Yelp
I love this place and my order was exactly the way I expected it to be. I got vanilla ice cream with caramel drizzled throughout. The worker I encountered (can't remember his name) had EXCEPTIONAL customer service and was very patient with me. I truly appreciated his help. With the check in you also get a discount which was a nice plus! The establishment was clean, price was fair and for what I got I was very pleased overall.

Yelp
I ordered a small red velvet with Oreo roll cup and it was delicious! I don't know what else to say but, everyone should try this place. It's good!
