The Other Coast Cafe - Review - Capitol Hill - Seattle - The Infatuation

"The Other Coast Cafe is a casual sandwich counter serving the kind of meat, cheese, and sauce combinations college students doing all-nighters dream about. Like the Electric Wizard sandwich with ham, smoked fresh mozzarella, and balsamic mayo. If you actually are a college student pulling an all-nighter, know that they close at 9, so prepare accordingly." - Aimee Rizzo

We were looking for a quick and light bite to eat for lunch and I found this place on google maps, did not show up on yelp (rude). It is a small counter order sandwich shop. I ordered the reuben and my boyfriend and friend both ordered the ragin cajun. When your order is ready they bring it to you. These sandwiches were delicious! They were in no way "light". They were pretty big sandwiches. I would definitely recommend them and go back!

Had it delivered to my office, was pretty impressed by the sandwich. Good price. I really liked the bread they use, and the fries are great too.

The Rajun Cajun sandwich is 100% worth the fact that there is zero sense of urgency in the staff. It is THAT GOOD! I've been to the Queen Anne & Ballard locations during seemingly not busy times and waited what felt like forever for my mini sandwich. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that all 5 times I've eaten here, they have a bunch of call in orders ahead of me... which is exactly what I will be doing moving forward. Still worth it.

Came here and got a Rajun Cajun sandwich and fries. Unfortunately something was broken and they couldn’t make the sandwich hot so I got it cold. It was still pretty good, although hot would be better. Good flavors and lots of fresh tasting ingredients. Fries were really good with the spicy dipping sauce. Pretty good prices for the area. I would go back,

Ordered the meatball. I have never had so much garlic and parsley in anything. It tasted like turkey pesto. Ordered the 14 inch version. The sandwich itself was made very well. Perfect cheese coverage. Crunchy, great bread. The meatball was just not good. It was also more dense than I would expect since it's being held hot in the sauce. Overall, not a good sandwich. Also got the spicy Italian (I forget the real name), it was good, but a little light in the meat department. You can see they are trying with fresh cut meat and oven baked sandwiches, but my experience definitely missed the mark. They asked how the sandwich was and I said it was fine. We didn't have time to wait for a new sandwich. They were nice. I'm sure some of their sandwiches are stellar and we chose poorly. Maybe we will try again.

I'd be in this place every other day if I could. The staff is always great, hella friendly. They have great french fries!! The sandwiches are good too but I have to pick my carbs carefully (at least pretend to) and so I always go for the fries.

I love these guys' sandwiches. Ragin Cajun is the bomb. But a few things: 1) it's a pretty pricey sandwich, 2) anything hot takes awhile to come out (although when it does it's awesome), 3) not a huge seating area here, which can be a problem around lunchtime. Also, skip the veggie sandwich (Carla and Ben) - not much flavor.
