"If you’d like to take your tastebuds on a journey to Asia, Oven is the perfect place. Nepalese chef Hari Chapagain promises to take you on a voyage from India to Nepal through his cooking, to which he adds an innovative and contemporary touch. Many of his dishes are prepared in the “tandoor” oven (which is part of the open kitchen here and gives its name to the restaurant). Dishes he cooks in the oven include the tasty naan bread, as well as delicious grilled ribs of lamb, duck and chicken marinaded in Nepalese herbs and spices. A word of advice: we recommend asking the staff here about the levels of spiciness of each dish." - Michelin Inspector

Amazing food, amazing service. From the moment we walked in, everything just felt right. I also have to give a shout-out to the main woman working there (I didn’t catch her name 😭) she was everywhere in the best way. Super attentive, calm, welcoming, and clearly knows how to keep everything flowing. You can tell she really cares. We started with the small plates and WOW. The momos with the sauce (and I added hot sauce) were probably some of the best I’ve ever had. So flavorful and comforting, with that familiar momo taste but even better. The Pioneer with the sauce was also really good perfect to share. I decided to venture out and try the Madras, and I’m so glad I did. It was rich, comforting, and just really hit the spot. My partner ordered the bean soup and it was surprisingly so good simple but full of flavor. And you have to get dessert. It’s a must. We had someone in our party with a gluten allergy and they were able to accommodate without any issue. The dessert was incredible, especially with the coconut ice cream such a good way to end the meal. Overall, such a great experience. Delicious food, warm service, and a place I’d absolutely come back to. Highly recommend.

We were thoroughly surprised. The food was amazing and the service was great. Really wanted to go visit a second time, but we will have to return again. All of the dishes were well made and tender. The dessert was also really nice and well done. All the food is made fresh and you can see them making naan in the window. Definitly recommend the paneer, chicken sekuwa, Himalayan rose curry and the Everest lava!

Hands down the best meal we had during our stay in Lisbon. The staff is engaging, friendly and accommodating. They provided opinions and insight into their menu which is invaluable when there are sooooo many good choices to pick from! The restaurant itself is cozy and has a family like feel to it. The presentation of the food was too notch - we eat with our eyes first and I knew before I ever tasted it I was going to love it!! We ordered 5 menu items and LOVED them all. The food was hot, made fresh to order. The accompanying sauces were complimentary to the food items and took them to the next level. The pani puri was a flavour explosion and textural rollercoaster which was simply amazing!! The samosas were hot, crust, packed with flavour and accompanied by a sauce that took it to the next level. Now, the momos….simply the best little flavour bombs ever! When the garlic naan hit the table my senses were ignited - it smelled heavenly! So light, airy and that perfect little crisp. It serves as the perfect vessel for cleaning up every little drop of sauce from our pomegranate chicken! The chicken was moist and tender with the little pops of the pomegranate seeds - just perfect. The sauce had great depth of flavours and I would’ve bitterly licked the bowl clean but thankfully my naan did it for me! I will be back and highly recommend Oven to anyone in Lisbon who wants the best dining experience the city has to offer.

This is the best hidden gem I have found in Lisbon in a long while (nearly professional foodie here). We found this restaurant completely randomly and last minute, we got the last table they had. I would never even imagine that a restaurant at this location would be so good and with such fair price. Its honestly the best indian/nepalese food I have ever tried here, everything else in the place and service was perfect too, and we paid an average price for Lisbon nowadays. Definitely coming back, you cannot miss it!!!

The prawns with Nepalese lentils surprised with a deliciously fresh, fruity, yet warm, earthy flavor. I've never tasted a similar flavor in a main course before. Dried mango could have been an ingredient. Simply delicious, or as the very friendly server put it: "This is a comfort meal." Overall, the service was very attentive, warm, and professional. We were so wonderfully looked after that we quickly forgot we had been seated right in front of the door. We recommend the Spheres and two other small dishes for starters, and the "Everest Lava" for dessert. The atmosphere was informal and relaxed. Thank you so much!

Felt slightly odd going for Indian styled food while away from the UK, but not in India. But would highly recommend it, service is very good, lighthearted and personable, the food is very very good. Probably one of our, if not our best meal in Lisbon.

The food was incredible! Best tandoori chicken ever and unlike the standard version you get most places in the world. Delicious tandoori rack of lamb chop, veggie biryani, garlic chili shrimp, and yummy homemade garlic naan. We went back twice, because it was so wonderful. I had planned to take photos of everything to share, but only made it as far as the shrimp appetizer. When the main dishes arrived, it all looked so good, I completely forgot! Hee hee.

I'm sorry, food was not good. as you see in photos I've added it looks good, the Pani Puri is just not tasty I'm sorry, and the dumplings are just thick and the filling is not to my taste. the chicken Ticka made my stomach feel weird... Im sorry guys - for a Michelin nominated restaurant... this is not the level. besides that the service is great! and the atmosphere is very lovely. pricing is good.
