What a great experience!! Great spot for a solo dinner or a date or girls' night! I suggest getting a seat at the Chefs Counter - such a fun and informative dining experience. Chef Sib is a culinary genius, so of course, the menu is full of delicious eats. The shrimp, crab wedge salad, and the snapper-, INSANELY GOOD! & Aline was so lovely and suggested great wines for me to try. Her service was attentive and welcoming! And all the guys cooking were all so friendly and did a fantastic job preparing my food! I will be back to try more of the menu (the chicken looked GOOD!)

UMMMM...helloo!! Black and Women owned!! and the food is BOMB! Great vibe, music is tea! service is always amazing. The detail to the presentation of the meals *chefs kiss*. I absolutely love the environment this wine bar creates. 1000/10 would recommend for an amazing dinner experience. Plus the skyline views. Come on down here!

Skip the food,I’ll explain why …I went here for my birthday and the experience was lackluster unfortunately. I did extensive research and I saw that the chefs were cultured so I was very surprised to be greeted with bland and uninspired dishes. We tried almost every dish if not all. The chopped cheese mac & cheese was the most disappointing it almost tasted like hamburger helper, and had packaged shredded cheese that would not melt on top .. The chicken was fried crispy, but lacked any flavor (no salt) and had no sides for wrapping price of $30. The shrimp was great, The Crudo was extremely tiny, nothing to remember but it was refreshing. And the Ackee appetizer had not one trace of Ackee.. We got the fish which is not pictured but keep in mind that it’s a fillet with no sides. Even though my server cleaned it up in the end, it’s such a small place and we were calling her so many times and she was not hearing us or paying attention enough to see us wave our hands, which is unbelievable because the place literally has four tables in total.. I still tipped her extra bc she was a sweetheart when she started being attentive in the end. Would come back only for the wine, I enjoyed every glass I had as well as my party.

The OX Wine Bar in the North Side of Williamsburg has an excellent wine selection that is perfectly paired with the best food by Chef Sib. All these dishes are multi layered and stimulating, each bite surprising your palette as it discovers new tastes and new textures. A true New York City Menu, in which the origins of the ingredients are from all over the world, a reflection and a celebration of what Chef Sib has always told us with his food and lifestyle, an always welcoming spirit, cooking banging food effortlessly that is always delicious. The space is clean, it smells good, and is well taken care of. The vibe is pretty chill and romantic in the dining room, the kitchen area is vibrant.

really enjoyed a nice girls night here! the spot is so cute and has a nice mature evening vibe. the service was great. they are extremely knowledgeable about their wine selection and were able to recommend a wine for myself and my friend. the chopped cheese mac was yummy. only suggestion i would have is to put a sign on the actual door entrance to make it stand out. but i had a great experience and would def return!

OMG we just stumbled upon this new wine bar on Friday. We were walkins .They were happy to accommodate us. Geo greeted us. Found us a comfortable table and then walked us through their fabulous wine list. Geo offered us some tastings of various varieties. We were only looking for a drink, but we could not resist the small plates on the menu. Our food was amazing. The place is charming. And the people are fantastic! I can't say enough good things about OX I am so happy it has opened in the neighborhood.

I’ve been seeing this restaurant trend online and I was very much excited to get the chance to dine there. It was a party of 2 for reservations for 6:45p for the dining room made on resy at least 3 days in advance. I understand there is a 90 minute table policy… we were a bit late but arrived within the 15 minute period by 7pm. When we arrived there was a private event within the dining room so we were seated at the chef’s table ( I’m assuming the event was booked last minute because time slots were still available for that evening earlier within the day or not previously updated to reflect the event). Anyway the waitress seats us and states because we were late she could only accommodate us for an hour which was interesting and off putting because I would assume at least 75 minutes being within the 90 minute time frame especially since there were 4 open seats. I also rementioned our reservation time and she still gave the same answer. Our time there felt a bit rushed and at least for me made it not as enjoyable since the focus seemed to be on accommodation for future parties on a seating arrangement that we did not request. I liked the shrimp but the chopped cheese wagyu wasn’t what I expected. We did end up staying 75 minutes because more drinks were ordered but we could tell our time was up and they were ready to seat the next party. Not sure how accommodations work if it goes past 90 minutes or if there is an actual cap on ordering. I might come back at least one more time ( and hopefully on time) and see if I have a different experience. Overall 3.5/5

Yelp
Checked it out on Saturday night. Perfect for Date Night w/ your gf/bf. Aesthetic is dope. A bit more intimate than I expected in relation to the size of the spot but it wasn't bad. Would be a great place for a periodic supper club. Food: Blue Crab Wedge Salad - Pepper Shrimp Skewers - Grilled Cheese - Garlic Fried Chicken - The grilled cheese with duck prosciutto is very very very ELITE. One of the best things I've eaten. My fiancée's wedge was amazing too. She hit me with a "Gimme 14 of 'em" so it's stamped. Skewers were good and cooked well. The Chicken was good but the juiciness of it was ehhh at times. I'll try the steak next time. Service: They had a few hiccups in regard to the service but the owner personally came over a few times to get things right. She was a bit short staffed due to the flu bug hitting her staff the day before so, grace and patience helped us all be great. I recommend this spot for sure. The Hibiscus Ginger mocktail was fire too. The Wine Punch slapped as well. Fellas this spot is Relationship Date Night Certified. Not for the first though King

Yelp
The Ox Wine Bar is an intimate space with delicious dishes and a wide variety of wines. I can't remember the rosés that I drank but I believe they were the only two on the menu. I also tried a sample of the Kale-Arita but it was too sweet for me. For food, I had the Ginger Butter Oysters Mushroom and Chopped Cheese Mac. While the mushrooms were a little too salty, the chopped cheese mac balanced out that issue. I actually found myself scooping the mac n cheese first then putting some mushrooms on top. Overall I enjoyed my visit and am looking forward to returning, especially to try their tasting menu where you get seated at a chef's table. Sounds like a chef's kiss to me!

Yelp
The Ox Wine Bar ..... is a very intimate space . I would recommend having a date night with your partner or a good friend date . For some reason, I thought Ox Wine Bar would be larger . I definitely see myself returning . Although it's an intimate space, I can see myself enjoying a nice glass of African wine or Rose . The ambiance is pleasing and the customer service is pleasant and knowledgeable in their wines . I didn't get a chance to try their food but I will upon my next visit .
