The menu suggests there is London as an influence (Britain, UK) but they have strayed a bit from this. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not bad at all, and I think they have done well to keep the menu size down. They could just be a little more authentic. Scotch eggs: These were good. Could take a little more salt and pepper but tasty. They are ground lamb scotch eggs, which is not the traditional variety from the UK. Ground pork is the traditional coating around the egg. Great to see the eggs not rock hard inside. Just cooked nicely. And beautifully presented. I would suggest add a small fork to the serving platter if it is being shared. As a group, nobody wanted to use their own “used” fork to take some coleslaw from the platter. Fish and chips: In the UK fish and chips is served with a piece of fish, typically a fillet or half fillet from the side of the fish. However, here as with most US fried fish presentation, there are rectangular pieces of fish battered and fried. I don’t know why they do this. It is not British though 😆.. There is a side of mushy peas for an extra $2. Don’t waste your money!! They are just the Birds Eye frozen peas (or similar brand), mashed up with a fork. Not mushy peas at all. We did give the feedback but they still charged for them. If you are serving fish and chips and offering mushy peas, have the mushy peas available. Mushy peas are marrowfat peas, not frozen garden peas. A good brand to buy is Bachelors. They are available in tins or dried (if using dried: soak, add bicarb and salt and boil - google the recipe and really make them authentic!) Bangers & Mash (Sausages): Very good. The sausages were good, the mash very good, and kale went well and not over cooked. If this establishment gets proper mushy peas, they could offer them as a kale alternative, as this would also be British in style. Service was pretty good, though the bangers and mash took significantly longer to arrive while everyone politely waited to start eating. Would I go back? Yes.

I came here to celebrate my father's birthday. Upon arrival, we were greeted and there was plenty of seating for my party. All the main entrees on the menu were pretty expensive and did not strike me as very appetizing. Upon ordering, the food took forever (20-30 minutes) to arrive at my table, despite the business not looking very busy on a Saturday night. I ordered the Fish and Chips which I assumed was the safe option but turned out to be a mistake. The fish was extremely bland and I had to nearly force myself to finish once I exhausted the small portion of dipping sauce that accompanied the dish. The chips were decent. Overall I enjoyed the appetizer the most which was a deep-fried Macaroni and Cheese plate. To the restaurants credit, they did provide my father a complimentary dessert which he seemed to enjoy. Overall, my party did not enjoy the food or experience enough to be keen on returning for a 2nd time in the near future.

Google
Perfect British pub, food is well cooked and very close to the authentic British pub food. Pot pie, chicken kababs and chicken flat bread is to die for ! The fusion of Indian and Mediterranean taste symbolizes the classic London pub food. Great drinks, great menu items and ambience is also pretty good. Prices on the higher side though ! Worth a try for a nice dinner date !

I stumbled in on a Monday after the gym, embarrassingly, because the atmosphere is fairly posh. I mean that in a good way. The wait staff seated me and my guest graciously in spite of our attire, I'll doll up next time I swear! Of the seasonal cocktails I chose the 24 Carat Gold, it was sweet and smoky. You may be delighted to know that while they have British pub staples like Shepherd's Pie, a good portion of the menu is Indian influenced with fragrant seasoning.

Google
Third time here over nearly a decade. Burger is solid with excellent fries. Cocktails were very nice and there are some creative options not just standards. Service was attentive.

Upen R.

Google
No question about ambience. Sunnyvale downtown vibes. Service was great. Table setup is also perfect with views of the bustling street. Food is not so great for the price. Butter chicken tasted pretty bland and sweet. Not many options with cocktails as well.

Kristen W.

Google
Tasty food (I love the Shepherd’s pie! But salad is just so so) Service is ok, good vibe in the restaurant. Can be a good choice for dinner.

Google
Beautiful seating arrangement, bar and dining area. Service is above and beyond, made sure everything was on point. pomegranate margaritas and red wine paired perfectly with their steak and shrimps. Restroom is clean and the atmosphere is lovely lighting and vibe are fitting.

Yelp
When moving to downtown Sunnyvale, I was delighted to see Murphy Ave anchored by this stylish British / Indian fusion joint right on the corner at Washington. Filament bulbs in industrial light fixtures, cool glassware, bar seating at the front that looks onto the street - it's just a cool vibe. (But like pretty much everything else in Sunnyvale it closes at 9:30 or 10pm.) Came here in a big group and ordered a decent chunk of the whole menu. Interestingly, the winners were all items from the appetizer section: ahi tuna tartare, calamari, mac n cheese, crab cakes. But the entrees were a bit more "standard" - the "Shepards pie" and CTM were just OK. Maybe the CTM would be more enjoyable for a traditionalist but given the Oxford's branding I expected the fusion version with a really rich thick sauce. One of the cocktails was also great (though I forget the name), and they had two classic English beers on tap - Fuller's London Pride and Old Speckled Hen. If you know anything about the beers across the pond these you know you want these. Can't wait to go back and try the rest of the apps!

Yelp
I can sum up my review as this: Mediocre food and high prices. I had an Allagash White for $10 (even though I ordered it during happy hour) and the chicken pot pie for $22, which looked very promising with its homemade looks and flaky crust. However, the taste of the pot pie unfortunately left a lot to be desired. It was creamy but had no flavor. The vegetables and chicken were all bland with no seasoning or salt. It was...edible, but not delicious or delightful, which I would expect for a dish that costs as much as it does for something that is pretty basic. The interior is a mishmash of styles, with a fairly sizable bar and some tvs showing multiple channels, which has a sports bar vibe. But the wall next to it has large glass displays for their wine collection, which has a fine dining vibe. The opposite wall has a random assortment of pictures that I can only describe as "British cultural icons". Like I said, a combo of styles. I'm not sure the restaurant know what type of vibe it is going for. The service was generally pretty attentive. Automatic 20% tip applied for parties of 6+.

Yelp
We went there for a coworker get-together. We ordered party size fish & chips, scotch eggs, calamari, various chicken, beef and lamb main course dishes, and various beer (I personally like their pilsner a lot). The food all taste delicious. The service is a bit slow (maybe because of the size of our party) and the waiters/waitress are nice and the owner even came out and shook hands with us. They have very nice decors inside. Classy yet relaxing. There are ample parking space in the city parking lot across the street. Would definitely recommend and come again.

Chrissy C.

Yelp
I would love to review the food.... If the server ever came back to the table.... In all honesty, the food was fine... Enough. But my friend who ordered a salad with chicken never got her chicken... In fact, it was almost like we didn't spend enough for them to care about our experience. Cause after the dropped the food off, they never came back, and it took one of us calling them back over to even get acknowledged. The food was good enough, but not enough to save this HORRIBLE service

Yelp
I had the vegetable pot pie but i felt it was back to being more English style. I remember when i first had this that it had 'a little extra' in terms of British/Indian spice quality. Could you bring that back? i don't want more salt, but i remember the pot pie had an interesting fusion quality to it. I'm not looking for a spicy dish, just something that tickles my palate.

Yelp
Yum! We had the Charred Chicken Kebab & Hummus & Original English Style "Fish & Chips". Cocktails and mocktails as well-- those tasted great! The service was pretty slow. Otherwise a fun interior with chill vibes. Good place to come if you're looking to sit at the bar.

Yelp
Average food, expected more. The fish and chips were too oily and the veggie burger was just ok. There was no wow factor, lots of better choices nearby.

Yelp
8/3/2024 The Oxford Kitchen and Gastropub 195 S Murphy Ave Sunnyvale, CA 94086 I went there on a Saturday about 6 PM to try their version of fish and chips. It's at the south end of Murphy Ave which had a jazz band playing music for the many street diners. The adjacent city parking lots on Frances and Sunnyvale were full so I successfully tried the Caltrain structure on Evelyn, which happens to be free for the public after 6 PM. The interior was dimly lit and had modern pub furnishings, there are two TV's at the bar. There is also outside seating. After promptly being seated inside, my server took my order and after about 15 minutes brought the Fish & Chips with condiment cups of ketchup, tartar sauce and malt vinegar. The lightly salted thick cut fries were crispy on the outside and soft and moist inside. The three hot Cod fillets had a crispy breading and the fish was moist and flaky. The Fish N' Chips was excellent, met my expectations for UK style and one of the best in the area. Service was friendly, attentive and prompt. Although I was one of the few diners when I got there the place started filling up after 6:30. I will definitely repeat and also try the other British style pub dishes.

Yelp
Date: Saturday, April 6th, 2024 Time: around 9:15pm Party of: 4 *OF THE OLDER FASHION: Oxford blend of bourbons (bulliet, makers 46, knob creek, old grand dad 114), demerara, trinity bitters ($18) x2 *MANHATTAN: American whiskey blend, sweet vermouth, cherry bark vanilla bitters ($15) *Alexander Valley Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon, CA ($17) *Fries & Curry ($12) Final stop on a day of birthday celebrations. Our group stopped by for one round before I headed home. We spotted The Oxford off the street and decided to check it out. Walked in and grabbed a high top in the bar area. I got the manhattan. This was nice as I was drinking lighter alcohol all day. I'm definitely more of a dark girl. It was nicely balanced and great for sipping. Not too spirit forward from what I recall. I didn't try the fries, but they looked good. And I adore curry so I'm sure I would have enjoyed it if I tried. I didn't stay long, but service was good. Maybe less than 30 mins. I'm normally the math person, so I wanted to pay the bill before I left. They were very quick and I was able to enjoy my drink and get everything paid and done before I left. Great spot for a quick drink and snacks.

Yelp
Went with a group of six. We waited an hour for our food. No communication or status update. There were only four other guests(2 tables) in restaurant. So not very busy. My friend ordered a chicken salad, the salad came without chicken. We had to flag a waiter to notify them about the missing chicken, she waited forever, eventually they provided the chicken but everyone was already finished with their meals. We asked for separate checks, I only had one beverage. They forgot to give me a receipt. Then after my group paid they quietly added my item to one of the checks of my group....

Yelp
Attended this place with a group - the food and wine selection were amazing, hot snacks were served nice and warm - service was good too- has a nice ambience and would recommend this as a classy place

Yelp
1. Food quality has gone downhill from a few years ago. Chips and meat in the burger both tasted old/frozen. Cobb salad was good but most other dishes in our party of five were not 2. Server brought four dishes out for our party of five, and then food for other neighboring tables came out before he checked on us and realized he didn't bring all the dishes out. No apologies just went back in and brought out the fifth dish he had forgotten about. 3. A customer came in with a dog. Two different restaurant employees told them dogs weren't allowed but he just nodded and kept the dog under the table. We are indoors at a restaurant and I really don't appreciate dog fur in my food or the anxiety of watching what the dog is getting into while I am trying to enjoy my meal (and I have a minor allergy to dogs).

Yelp
I'm so glad my cousin recommended we meet up here for lunch. I was worried they would be busy on a Friday - got there at 1pm and it was pretty empty. Good or bad? I think people don't realize the gem that's here and that they have a lunch menu similar to the dinner menu that's tailored for lunch crowd in terms of cost and size... Cuz and I shared the roasted tomato soup, the chicken kebab & hummus with side order of scallion flat bread and the grilled pear and avocado salad. First off - that ROASTED tomato soup! AMAZING - so full of flavor with a drizzle of basil and it came with a bread roll. I should of taken a picture of the bread roll opened up - it was so light and airy in the middle - a perfect vehicle for wiping up the delicious roasted tomato soup. I love tomato soup and when they roasted it - it pulls out the acidity and was deep in flavor without all that acid. THE BEST EVER!!! And did I mention that bread roll? Perfect texture - not heavy... The grilled pear and avocado salad was refreshing, crunchy and delicious. It also include some slices of tomato and cucumber but I can't say the pear was grilled? It was like they chopped up pieces of pear and just added to the salad. Not complaining as it was still delicious but wasn't quite what I expected. I expect with grilled pear it'd be a bit softer and have more flavor but again - still delicious!! And that citrus dressing was PERFECT balance of light citrus flavor. I can't say I saw or tasted the "quinoa" that was supposedly in the salad but I can't say I missed it... wonder if it were those dots in the salad dressing? The chicken kebab and hummus! That was a bit of a surprise. The chicken had flavor on it's own and that creamy silky hummus - when put on top of the scallion flatbread along with the chopped greens and tomatoes!! So good. Very subtle in flavor with lots of different textures!! Loved it!! I would order just the hummus if they had it along with the flatbread! Service was nice and attentive - I think they were disappointed we didn't order drinks but hey - it was lunch time for us! LOL... maybe next time when we come during happy hour! I LOVE that they use stainless steel cups that keep the water cold. They provide cold water in a decanter at the table and will replace the decanter so that's helpful.... I honestly can't wait to go back and try their main courses - so many to choose from. May have to come back multiple times!! :)

Yelp
I had high hopes for The Oxford given its gastropub label and sleek vibe, but unfortunately, the experience fell flat--and at a steep price. The drinks were underwhelming, both in taste. For a place that positions itself as a gastropub, you'd expect some creativity or at least a solid pour. The wagyu burger was not overcooked or dry, but the taste of the burger overall sucked. Its toppings were lacking finesse, leaving much to be desired in terms of flavor and execution. Sad ensemble for a wagyu patty. The Peri Peri Chicken was overall quite bland and underwhelming although juicy. The expected punch of spice and balanced flavor was missing, making it one of the more forgettable items on the menu. Between the mediocre food and overpriced drinks, it felt like style over substance. There are much better spots in the area to spend your money. $130 for 2 mediocre entrees and drinks. Pass on this spot.

Yelp
TLDR: Excellent Tomato Soup About 20 years ago, I visited London, and specifically tried their fish and chips. It was pretty greasy, but the fish inside was flaky. The "chips", which are really big steak potatoes, were crispy on the outside and mushy inside. I think the ones here in Oxford, does the dish justice. Here the fish is much thicker than I remember, and the batter is a bit thicker as well. But I liked them very much. They are still too greasy though. And I'm not fond of the vinegar. The entire dish is a bit too one note to be honest. I was hoping Oxford could do something more to elevate the dish. Bring it to the 21st century... something worthy of a gastropub. Or maybe I just watch too much Top Chef... :P My wife LOVED the tomato soup however. She couldn't stop raving about it. I thought I finished my bowl... she asked for it and LITERALLY licked it clean. Then she told me, "Now THAT's a finished bowl". I'm not much of a soup guy, so I am relying on her expertise. I have never seen her act this way about a non-Chinese soup before, so this gotta be the best damn Tomato Soup in the Bay Area. For that reason alone, this place gets 4 stars. We also ordered a Peach and Avocado Salad. It was ok. I really did enjoy the grilled peaches... However there weren't nearly enough of them. Also I think I would have preferred if the peaches were cut in bigger chunks, to REALLY get the grilled flavor in. As it was, you really only taste the vinegary dressing with rare sweet bombs (from the peaches). The wait staff were friendly. There were several large tables when we came, but the service wasn't too slow. Again, without the soup, I think this place would be 3 stars. But the soup puts it over the top.

Yelp
Good food, lovely ambiance, cool place to take your friends. We had an oxford mule, oxford gimlet, absolut tonic, Greek salad and hummus tofu for dinner. Good food and drinks, no complaints here! If you like feta cheese and acidic dressing, can't go wrong with a Greek salad! Service could have been better, like more frequent and friendlier, but overall a pleasant dining experience. We'll return again when we're in the mood for cocktails and pub fare in Sunnyvale.

Yelp
**Only rating drinks at the bar and service** Came here once years and years ago, and I remember it being crowded and loud but having decent drinks. I tried it again the other day, and I fell in love with the atmosphere and the service. Bartenders were very kind and it seems like they truly enjoy serving you, putting in care to make the drinks both taste good and look good. Saw a lot of people coming in dressed up, some dressed casually, and singleton diners. You know a place is good when they're able to pull people of all contexts, even at 8 pm! Looking forward to my next drink here, and maybe I'll try their food too!

Yelp
Great cocktails and great food. What's not to like?!? The house old Fashioned is fab, and the shepherds pie is delicious. :)

Yelp
Pub Together We decided to celebrate Valentine's Day early and go out on the weekend, as opposed to the actual date when we're both working and exhausted. After a bit of searching, we came upon the Oxford here in Downtown Sunnyvale. We found the Oxford intriguing, as they claim to be emulating a British-style pub, but the menu spanned mostly Asian and Indian cuisine. They also have a nice bar scene with a bevy of signature cocktails, wine, and beers--as well as a few of their own house brews on-tap. The Good: *Reservations available thru OpenTable *Outdoor seating *Great ambiance with fun but classy décor and lighting *Daily happy hours, even on Saturdays. *Cocktails are strong and delicious. After two, I practically had to carry Carissa to the car. :) *And speaking of strong, their signature R2Brew2 Triple Black IPA packed a mean punch at 12%ABV. This beer is dangerous as one can hardly tell how strong it is, as it had a nice hoppy sweetness that masked its strength very well. *Mamu Kibbeh (vegan?) was spicy, earthy, and tasted almost beefy from the mushroomy goodness inside. The concomitant sauces were also quite tasty and served as creamy and herby accompaniments. *Shepherd's Pie was quite good; the creamy mashed taters on top had a nice crunchy crust, and the interior was packed full of lamb, carrots and peas. My one complaint was that it ate a bit dry, but otherwise nearly perfect. *Carissa really enjoyed her Chicken Kebab & Quinoa Salad (which is really an app), and I took a few bites and approved of their smooth, tasty hummus and well-cooked chicken. The Meh: *While all the food was delicious, I felt like their menu was a bit all over the place. Almost like they have a bit of an identity crisis. *And, speaking of menus, they really need to update the one on their website as it didn't reflect what we were handed at the time of our visit. *Service was OK for the most part. They're not the friendliest lot, but hardly what I'd call grumpy. They were just kinda there and did their job with efficiency. *Chocolate Banoffee was pretty good, but we both had a hard time tasting the banana and toffee, for that matter. It just ate like a rich chocolate torte, which isn't a bad thing, just not as advertised. The Ugly: *While we love Murphy Ave here in DT Sunnyvale, it can be a bit of a hassle finding parking. Luckily, we're old and like to eat early, so we had no issues. However, by the time we left, there were lots of cars circling the parking lots looking for spots TLDR: Delicious food, a great atmosphere, fantastic drinks, and acceptable service makes this a great spot for a date night or a special occasion.

Yelp
The food is good, but not great. The prices are rough for what it is. I've had the chicken tikka masala and bangers and mash. The thing that really disappointed me in my most recent visit was when I asked for brown sauce, they brought BBQ. Brown sauce is a staple of any pub and served with bangers. You need to invest in some Daddies or HP sauce for authenticity.

Yelp
My Daughters took us out for a early Mother's Day lunch at this restaurant in Lodi. Very nice restaurant, server was very attentive and interacted with our 3 year old Granddaughter (of course she's a cutie pie). I tried for the first time ever, chicken and waffles! The Belgium waffle was so light and crunchy and the fried chicken was crunchy but moist inside. The interior was of course British decor and very clean. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered and we were all too full to try out their desserts. Matter of fact, we will be heading to Britain next year and it was nice to get a taste of their country's food. I would like to go back to try their dinner menu!

Rajat A.

Yelp
The pot pie is good, as is the chili cheese flatbread. Used to love the chicken here, but I don't eat religiously slaughtered meat so once I realized that's what they serve here, it has limited my choices to only vegetarian dishes here.
google avatar

Joshua H.

Yelp
They usually have someone standing by the door to greet people as soon as they step in. The interior is pretty spacious and lots of lighting set up around, with big TVs at the bar if you're interested in the ongoing sports games. We were informed that the oven was broken, and so some of the menu items were unavailable that night. The waiters/owner were pretty attentive, checked up on us a few times throughout the night and refilled water/drinks Id say overall the food was good. I don't normally get british style food so it was a new experience for me. The mac n cheese bites were solid, but nothing special. I would probably order a different, more unique appetizer if i came back again. The shepherds pie was pretty good and look aesthetically really nice. The top layer was an almost mashed potatoes, with crispy bits at the top. The under layer was minced meat (lamb i believe) with some various vegetables. Overall the flavors were really nice, however i would have preferred more bread or something else to pair the shepherds pie with. Would recommend this place, if you're looking for british style food and because the owner/waiters were attentive and friendly

Yelp
Cool london booth to take pictures. I had Gnocchi pasta for lunch and it was really good. The server Sachin was also very polite & professional. Overall a great experience.

Yelp
I stopped by The Oxford on a Saturday around 12:30pm. I was surprised to find it was empty especially with the Farmers Market open, but all good for me as I got to choose wherever I wanted to sit in the restaurant. I snagged a high chair at the bar. Customer service was great. The food came out in a timely manner, and the bartender made a satisfying Pimms Cup cocktail and was on top of serving. I got that the restaurant was inspired by British food, but the main items tasted like Indian food to me. Don't get me wrong - I love Indian food, but I guess I'm confused with the identify of the place. Is it supposed to be a fusion restaurant? I ordered a veggie burger, which was OK. I've had a lentil burger before that had neutral seasonings to make it taste like an American burger, but The Oxford's version had a strong curry-like taste. The patty was also very mushy. Every bite I took kept pushing out the mashed lentils everywhere. Fries were mediocre, and I thought that they came out a little cold. The side of fried kale was enjoyable. I expected this to have more SE Asian flavor since the kale was dredged with chickpea flour. I did find, however, that it was really salty.

Yelp
One of our favorite restaurant/bar in Sunnyvale downtown. We always order the pimms cup and margaritas for drinks We have tried a couple of food options here, but our recommendation would be : Pot Pie, Chicken kebab, chicken pita wrap and curry fries. Wait time on the weekends is around 30mins. #ThankYouThursday

Yelp
I had a pretty solid experience here, everything felt relaxed and welcoming from the moment I walked in, staff was super nice without being too much and they made sure to check in just the right amount of times, food came out at a good pace and was warm and fresh, I liked how flavorful the dishes were without being too salty or oily, you could tell there was care put into how they cooked and plated things, it's one of those places where you can just sit and enjoy without feeling rushed, even the small details like how clean the tables were and how the drinks came out just right added up to a good time, maybe not the best food I ever had in my life but still really tasty and satisfying and I'd say definitely worth going back, portion sizes were fair too, didn't leave hungry or too full just the right amount and the atmosphere had a calm vibe to it, good lighting not too loud either which I always appreciate.

Michael L.

Yelp
First the good. Ambiance and service were on point. They also have some decent beers on tap. To summarize my experience the food was overcooked, dry and bland. I had the scotch eggs and purri purri chicken. I have never eaten chicken so dry. Scotch eggs were also underwhelming for similar reasons. Seasoning wise the biggest thing that was lacking is salt. The only thing cooked correctly were the fries but they also lacked salt. Get a new chef asap.
google avatar

Quoc H.

Yelp
Take out order: 6/10 Fried Chicken Burger $17 - At first the chicken looks huge but it is mostly breading sadly. Layer of chicken inside was pretty thin (1:1 bread to chicken thickness). Also wasn't seasoned or anything so pretty bland and needs sauce. Fries were mid. Crispy and hot but also unseasoned/salted.

Yelp
Came here on a busy day in DT Sunnyvale and the owner greeted us. Everyone was super friendly and inside it wasn't super busy. Generally welcoming atmosphere and the food is fairly decent! Would come again for the chicken pot pie!

Yelp
The food was great! Atmosphere was pleasant as well. Service was good. I will go again.

Yelp
I feel this is a British restaurant with a touch of south asian/ Mediterranean taste on their food. We went here for a Friday night dinner to go with the theme of the English movie we watched (Downton Abbey). The wall art of the place is English, the vibe is cozy and pub, but the food menu is a mix. There's TV by the bar and they were playing sports when we were there. I love the food I ordered. Chemoula Roasted Eggplant. Can't get enough of it! The Porcini Mushroom Ravioli is also good. The serving size is just right for an individual. The cocktail is decent but may fall short from the cool names and prices they have. They automatically charge 22% large party service tip, which is a bit high for what the place and their service offers. But would still love to go back for these two plates I tried, maybe a smaller group.

Yelp
Hey there Party People Hubby and I decided to relive our London trip by going to the Oxford Kitchen. The food really brought us back to the Pubs of London. Started with the Charuterie & Cheese platter it was very tasty. The selections of meat and cheese worked beautifully together and the fig preserve was the perfect binder. I know I'm not huge on Fig either but the whole point of going out is to try new things and it was worth it. Hubby had the Chicken Pot Pie. He is a traditionalist so he enjoyed it but wasn't overwhelmed. I on the other had the Shepard Pie. It was made with tradition Lamb and was seasoned to perfection. The mashed potato topping was on the crispy side, as it should be. The ratio of meat to potatoes was spot on. This is a must if you are coming here to eat. What night out is complete without an amazing desert....they did not disappoint. We had the Chocolate Banoffee Tart. This great deep chocolate mouse with the subtle flavor of banana with a toffee crumble. I'm still drooling it was so good. Come visit London without leaving the Country at Oxford Kitchen. Be kind to one another.

Yelp
Really relaxing atmosphere on a Thursday early evening for happy hour. Outside tables are seated under trees and umbrellas so it wasn't hot. I enjoyed my Bloody Mary. A little kick but not too much. Fries with tikka masala sauce were a nice snack too. Nothing extraordinary but good bar food. Easy free parking in the lot across the street is a plus.

Yelp
Came by for lunch the other day and it was a decent experience. Parking was available both in city-owned surface lots or on the street. The waitstaff was definitely a quieter bunch as they kept their speaking to a very minimum. The staff wore masks with some of them having their noses sticking out?!? Ordered the fish and chips and it was decent. The fish was huge piece with flaky white-fish along with huge chunks of chips. The shepherd's pie was also decent. Interestingly enough, we were the only table at the restaurant for lunch where the restaurant across the street was completely packed!

Yelp
Love the loud British Pub vibes here at the Oxford! Bond would feel right a home. Madeline warmly greeted me and guided the way. Tarun, the consummate gentleman, guided us through the whiskey menu. We ordered the Macallan. Had it neat with an accompanying glass w/ large cube of ice and a separate water chaser. Had the Charcuterie Plate and Passion Fruit Panna Cotta! Perfect bites to go with the perfect drink! Great conversation at a fabulous establishment is the perfect end to every evening! Hoorah! Would order everything again! Woohoo!

Yelp
5/5 shepherd's pie: very flavorful meat and mash. I haven't had it anywhere else before but I liked it here and I'd get it again. 4/5 chicken souvlaki: it was good but average. Fresh but dense. 5/5 fries: crispy 3/5 pear avocado salad: also average. Not enough toppings. Very mild dressing. Not enough variety on the textures like no crunchy bits. I also got an allagash white. Came for dinner without reservations on a Saturday night and there was no wait. Lots of available tables. Dimmed lighting.

Yelp
I went on a Thursday night early and found seats near the window. Drinks: We ordered a Gin cocktail and a mule - both turned out pretty good. Food: Meh. The presentation and taste needs work for the price. I ordered a very humble chicken souvlaki platter. Menu: The appetizer or shared food section needs more options. Staff and Service: Courteous and quick. I had 2 young ladies help me out and both of them -- though serving multiple tables -- helped out well. Ambience: Great I'm not sure if I would come here for the food. Since the restaurant overlooks Sunnyvale Murphy Ave., if I need to, I'd just find a table outside for a quick drink.

Yelp
food... late lunch today and we caught the last train right before they close the kitchen. Lots of table inside. Full bar. Food quality was good and piping hot. Got bangers & mash and shepherds . Must come back to try their curry next time. Service was great. Lots of British decoration. Cute phone booth at the next room. Lots of photo prop.

Yelp
The spicy chicken flatbread is so good- it's not like a typical flatbread it's baked into a pita. We get it every time! The chicken kabob is really simple and delicious-- great chicken and hummus. The cocktails are definitely a standout, they are very creative and beautiful and good. The pomegranate margarita is perfect.

Yelp
TLDR: Food was good, service was decent, but parking was a pain... It took me about 20 mins to find parking and about 15 mins for my friend. It doesn't sound like a lot, but when you're driving down the same street over and over again... it gets tiring lol. However, it is downtown, so it's no surprise. One positive thing is that they have multiple free parking lots around compared to parking garages/meters you have to pay for. Sooooo, you win some, you lose some. Now back to the restaurant. We didn't wait since my friend made reservations prior. However, for a Wednesday night, it was pretty crowded, so I would suggest making reservations to be safe! The vibes and ambiance was pretty chill since the lights were dimmed and the loudness was pretty lowkey. My friend ordered the Peri-Peri Chicken while I ordered the Mafaldine & Chicken Ragout. Peri-Peri Chicken: I didn't ask what my friend thought of his dish, but he did finish it and didn't complain, soooo I can only assume it was good. Mafaldine & Chicken Ragout: I really liked my dish! Seasoning was great and the portion was good as well. However, I will say that it's almost like a basic pasta dish with a different shaped noodle. The dish was delicious regardless. But the dinner roll? Basic, so I didn't care for it. Overall, 4.5/5. After we finished, we ordered the Chocolate Banoffee for dessert. Chocolate Banoffee: I'm personally not a fan of dark chocolate, so I didn't love it, but it wasn't too bad. I loved the banana and toffee mix, so I wished it had more of it to balance out each bite for me. It also came with vanilla ice cream, which was nice to soothe out the bitterness and heaviness of the chocolate. In general, 3.5/5. In terms of the service, it was pretty decent depending on the waiter. Some were attentive and came when needed, while others were talking on the side and took awhile for them to notice us. Overall, I would say the restaurant was pretty decent. I've never had British food before, and to be honest, not sure if this place really screams British in my opinion. Regardless, the overall vibe of the restaurant was nice and the food was good enough that I would come back again!

Yelp
Forgot to take a photo. I was hungry, having a late lunch after watching a movie at the AMC theater nearby, so I think I didn't remember to take the photo until I had like three fries left on my plate! Walked by this place quite a few times before I finally ate there. It's at the top of all the downtown Sunnyvale places near the movie theater. The outside was kind of a smaller area compared to some of the other spots, but the inside was very large. Since it was a nice day, almost no one there. I got the spicy vegan burger - and it was really delicious and unique. A patty made out of stuff like potatoes and peas, more like an Indian dish than a burger. I did order it with the fries and they are amazing. I would definitely come back for a Pimm's cup at some point. About average pricing, decent service.

Yelp
In the heart of historical Sunnyvale. Great place for a cocktail in small or larger groups. The music during the weekends is 80's which is pleasant. My Oxford mojito made by Shaga was delicious. Service was quick and friendly. To eat, I had the tasty avocado salad with a nice lemony dressing. Definitely recommend. Tell them Carla sent you!

Yelp
The Oxford amazed me! First of all, the ambiance is beautiful. An elegant, old school style and cozy vibe. But the services is what amazed me. I want to say thank you to Tarum, the manager I assumed, for giving us the most attentive, personable and exceptional experiences at The Oxford. We have been to many fine dining, but this one is just memorable. Tarum greeted us soon as we walked through the door, personally give us recommendation of the drinks, in which, perfectly match each one of us in terms of taste. We skipped the meals this time as we had dinner not long ago but we will definitely come back to try the food. The staffs were sweet and very attentive as well. Overall, best team out there ! Thank you Tarum and the Oxford team members !

Yelp
Had some of the cocktails.. they're strong and potent! The fries were on point! Nice and hot with a crisp touch, soft inside. It came with a side of ketchup and a curry sauce, which was quite interesting but I liked it! The panna cotta was good and refreshing especially with the icecream to top it off. Also had the chocolate tart and that was mediocre. Not too shabby, but could def be better. Nice vibes for cocktails!

Yelp
Sometimes it just takes one little thing ... Wandered into the Oxford last night after work to grab a bite to eat and read my Kindle. I informed the person at the front desk that it was just me. "OK," he replied, "you can just sit at the bar." Not "Where would you like to sit?"(the restaurant at 5:00 was virtually empty), not "How about this table?" Maybe I'm just old and cranky (wait, I am old and cranky) but a warm welcome was sadly missing. Anyway, on to the food and drink. I ordered a pint of IPA ($12.00) and the Fish 'N Chips ($21.00). The beer was fine. The fish 'n chips, not so much. Actually the french fries were really good. The fish was noted as being "cod" but I've been eating fish 'n chips for 40 odd years and this was perhaps the chewiest cod I've ever had. And the bulk of the flavor came from the ketchup I kept dipping it in. Well, it's always good to try new things, right?
