I had no idea! Living on the coast, our choices are limited. There's plenty of good food out here, but - until now - nothing really special. We came for a special dinner, but didn't realize how special it would be. One of our favorite chefs in Astoria worked with the in-house team at The Pacific Way to make a truly special evening. Dishes highlighted local specialties; oysters, mushrooms, salmon, and seasonal berries. Everything was beautifully prepared and delicious. Plating and serving were exceptional as well. My only regret is that we didn't take advantage of the excellent wine pairings. Won't make that mistake again!

This restaurant delivered a great experience! We had not been here in years. First, the owner came to our table, and gave us an overview of their chef, and their philosophy of their menu. A very classy nuance. She made several suggestions, which we followed. The carrots were amazing, and the duck was exceptional. The focasia bread was light and flavorful with a unique dip. The seafood pasta and steak were all great! We will definitely share this place with friends, and return often.

We had a very pleasant evening and an excellent meal here. We shared two starters. Chili Roasted Carrots were our favorite but the Fried Calamari & Shrimp was definitely a second best. For our main courses two of us had the Lamb Shank and the other two savored the Steak. All meals had interesting flavors. We shared the Burnt Basque Cheesecake as desert. It’s - as far as we know -the only establishment in Gearhart serving dinner.

Google
Quaint setting, and a unique menu and tasty food that would rival any Portland restaurant. The owner welcomed us and told us about the chef and the menu which was very much appreciated. We followed her recommendations. It was delicious. Note: you must have reservations as they do not take walk-ins.

My husband and I spent a couple days in Gearhart for our anniversary and came here for dinner to celebrate the day of. This is a fine dining gem in a small cozy town! The food was amazing, super local and fresh, the menu well thought out, the plating beautiful. I was especially impressed with the duck breast, it was cooked perfectly with crispy rendered down skin. The staff were kind and attentive and even gave us a rose to celebrate the occasion.

Pacific Way Cafe was a great find in Gearhart Oregon. The atmosphere was very calm and cozy, I would say a little on the fancier side, which the pricing indicates, but is reasonable for the quality of food you are getting. We had the Clam Chowder and Dungeness Crab & Shrimp cakes to start. The chowder was good but the crab cakes were fantastic! They were by far my favorite dish of the night. It was served with pickled veggies and a lemon caper yogurt sauce that balanced everything perfectly. After that my boyfriend ordered the Togarashi Halibut and I had the Miso Glazed King Salmon. The Halibut was cooked perfectly and was served with delicious seasoned vegetables that brought a lot of flavor and brightness to the dish all around. It had a slow heat that we liked, but it didn’t impair the flavor experience of the dish. I had the Miso Glazed King Salmon and it was wonderful. The salmon skin had a great crunch that balanced the meat of the salmon well. The Veggies served with it were on the spicer side, still palatable but noticeable, and paired extremely well with the salmon. All in all I feel that the Chef at this restaurant has a passion for the food they are making and a great pallet. Their care and creativity shined through with each dish and I appreciated being able to eat such great quality food in a small coastal town! The service team was also amazing! We had a great experience and would definitely recommend trying it out!

Google
We had a wonderful dinner there tonight. We tried their crab and leek chowder, very tasty. Also had ravioli which was super fresh, good sauce and also we had the crab cakes. Overall an enjoyable experience and the new owners are very nice. Our daughter got a kick out of the fake crocodiles in the bathtub in one of the bathrooms. 😂 Very quaint restaurant, worth the visit!

Yelp
The food, service, and ambiance were excellent! The customer service was Impeccable- the owners truly care about their customers. Highly recommend this place!

Yelp
The Pacific Way Restaurant located in Gearhart, Oregon offers an amazing dining experience largely due to the new chef Trevor. HE IS AN AMAZING COOK on the Oregon Coast. Today I had the Dungeness crab omelette, roasted carrots and a glass of Stollar champagne. Trevor made one of the best meals, if not the best meal, I've ever had. The service was friendly, helpful and patient. The restaurant itself very clean with a quaint atmosphere. I immediately made reservations for their upcoming wine/dinner pairing event. Looking forward to another top notch culinary experience prepared by Trevor.

Yelp
A review of Pacific Way Cafe isn't complete without some context of its home, Gearhart. Among the octogenarians, young families, tinkerers, weekend warriors, and the handful of us here full-time, you will find incredible stories about this town, some of which date back multiple generations. To say that this is a nostalgic and prideful community, and that many visitors share similar feelings, is an understatement. Gearhart is so very special. Running a restaurant--which, statistically, is really, really hard to do--in a tiny community where the number of residents alone makes this a very unconventional place is brave. I can imagine there are some logistical challenges--from sourcing, to staffing, to keeping food waste numbers down (this must involve advanced algebra)--and navigating the punishing ripple effect of one less than perfect experience. Pacific Way Cafe, having changed hands a few years ago, navigated its share of bumps--a common scenario in business transitions. Yet, it has found its stride. Yes, I too have fond memories of the pizza. Change is inevitable, but it's comforting to see so many components of the old restaurant still intact. I have warm memories of Pacific Way Cafe as a gathering place for many years of laughter, meaningful conversations with friends, and delicious meals. Those memories could have been from 10 years ago, and they are also from last night. Alan and his talented team show up week after week, innovating, collaborating, and evolving. They craft culinary magic in a community where isolation and nostalgia often predominate. I'll let that sink in for a moment. The excellence of the food and the unparalleled hospitality extend well beyond a 100-mile radius. Here, amidst the rugged charm of the northern Oregon coast, they are not just serving meals; they are creating an arena for new memories over the freshest oysters, craveable carrots, excellent wine and a boldly inventive menu. This place doesn't just serve food; they serve up a hearty dose of kindness and community spirit. The true gem of Pacific Way Cafe is its commitment to improvement and its enthusiastic openness to feedback. This isn't just a restaurant and bakery; it's a courageous endeavor in a quaint town filled with nostalgia, continuously striving to enhance the culinary experience. What more could one ask for?

Yelp
Came here for Mother's Day, and my grandma and mom received some beautiful roses. The miso-glazed salmon dish was delicious! The flavors were incredible, and the salmon was a perfect texture. My duck dish came with a heavy salad portion, and the duck ended up being lukewarm. Although the flavors and texture were good, the temperature really detracted from the dish. My grandma ordered a crab cake. It was pretty standard, not remarkable. I really like the interior and some of the wall decorations. The whale planter was especially fun.

Roxanne L.

Yelp
Party of one, restaurant was empty. They couldn't even seat me. I guess it was because of my attire after camping for two weeks of a hat and flip flops or ?????

Kris G.

Yelp
So exquisitely decorated, great good, best in the area! A family tradition for decades

Meredith L.

Yelp
Came here on Mother's Day with my mom. They were super friendly and gave my mom a beautiful rose when we got to the table. (My dog mom status didn't qualify me for one) I ordered the root vegetable omelet and my mom had the garlic and spring onion. They were delicious and flavorful. The breakfast came with a toasted bread that was quite good as well. Staff was very friendly, including a visit from one of the owners. It's very laid back. Casual but had a nice farm to table vibe. We got a few pastries, which were good and mochas. The cinnamon roll and mochas were ok but the raspberry and blackberry pastries were great! I highly recommend this place is you're ever in Gearhart.

Yelp
For 2 bills the food was so/so and the waitress was subpar. What's the deal with the remote card processors and the waitress hovering over you as you process your own bill? The a receipt with suggested additional tip increments? Tips are earned by providing additional service. Perhaps the kitchen had a bad night. They did run out of the first item on their tasting menu by 6:30 on Saturday night. We will still tip well if the service is good.

Franklin M.

Yelp
Excellent service, food and decor! I'll be coming back many more times when I'm back in town! The bakery is right next door. The chef name is Trevor!

Yelp
We were excited to eat here based on the reviews and a recommendation from a local realtor. The restaurant was charming in appearance and we were seated right at our reservation time. One of the owners introduced us to the chef's style of cooking, Japanese with Peruvian influence. Later our waitress came to the table. Her manner was somewhat off putting. We were made to feel ignorant when we asked questions about the menu and the wine offerings. We were disappointed to find that the tasting menu was only available in even numbers. Since they could not serve 3 the tasting menu, 2 of us ordered al la carte. Those 2 finished their salads before the other 2 got the first appetizer from the tasting menu 30 minutes later. No one explained that there was any issue. The owner stopped by and asked how things were going and we described the pacing problem. She offered to give us 2 glasses of wine to make things "right". We did get one and an additional side of carrots since one of us did not drink. They also provide an upgrade from the essential tasting menu to the epic menu, giving us larger portions and 2 different delicious desserts instead of just cheesecake. We received a really rich chocolate creation with caramel gelato and a strawberry dessert with madeleines. The wonderfully tart strawberry preparation really paired well with the chocolate dessert. We also had sweet little oysters "naked" and with pineapple "snow" and a wonderful vinegrette(?). The fish ceviche was so creamy and had a wonderful coconutty sauce. We also received melt in your mouth short rib with kale. Very salty but the focaccia balanced it out. Preferred the carrot sauce or the short rib drippings to the sesame seed dip provided with the focaccia. Salmon belly was cooked with wonderful crispy skin and was still so moist! Yummy citrus dressed greens came over it. Unfortunately our dining partners described their meals as only so so. One had a seafood tagliatelle with slightly undercooked pasta. The duck entree was generous but lacked something. Their dinners were finished before our first entree. Dinner lasted 2.5 hours. Service recovery was very good and the food was okay to excellent depending on your choice. Note there is a lot of kitchen noise even though it is not an open kitchen.

Yelp
Food delicious serving size very small. Veges were the best. I would to know where they get the baby veges

Marilyn C.

Yelp
We had a great experience! The food was very delicious, that even our 5 year old enjoyed it, she had a little bit of everything. Yes, they have a kids menu. Husband and I had our glass of wine with our food. They have a great selection of wines. They also have a great dessert menu! Yum!! The atmosphere was very chill and classy. There were several families with small kids, but wasn't overwhelming. The owner and staff were very friendly. I recommend making a reservation, even though we were walk-ins (we are a small family of three). They were accommodating, but I would book to guarantee a spot. They do have bathroom (which was also decorated). Fun surprise haha. Indoor sitting, didn't see outdoor, but had benches outside. We will be back!!

Shannon H.

Yelp
One of my faves on the coast, I always have a great meal with great service and I love both the bakery and the restaurant for ambiance. I had the risotto this time which was lovely and the Caesar salad was a standout, I went with an Arnold Palmer this time which was generous in size. Can't wait to go back!

Yelp
The bounty of the Oregon coast is spread across gorgeous beaches, sand dunes, crisp waves and fading sunsets. Gearhart is a beautiful quiet town. We parked on the beach enjoyed a day long picnic. Walking all day, steps in the sand was exhausting. The folks at Pacific Way and Cafe helped us out twice to refuel. First off with coffee and some of the best scones I've tasted. Marionberry scone was dense, with toasted peaks. the rich airy fall apart crumble scone was delish. Nice small cafe but no public restroom. Yes Gearhart beach doesn't have restrooms nearby like canon or seaside. It's a bit of a walk Evening dinner brought us back to Pacific Way to try the restaurant side. They accommodated us with outdoor patio seating and welcomed our dogs to join. This was so helpful and the staff were gracious and friendly. Owners Jennifer and Alan moved from California and purchased this eatery to showcase local seafood and wine. Crab cakes were delicious and fried calamari was on point. The complimentary amuse bouche was cucumber with pickled squid. A nice refreshing bite. Special of the day was ravioli filled with kabocha (Japanese pumpkin) in Marsala wine. Nice combination of flavors with three large pieces of ravioli. I hope the menu showcases more types of seafood and asian inspired flavors from the chef. Lots of options and possibilities. Crab , clams, steelhead, oysters, fresh uni (off port orford) There is a bounty of seaweed at the Oregon coast. Hope next time we can try more fish options and some wine. Also maybe a charcuterie board. The portions are a bit smaller for main entrees but we ordered a few things and it's enough to share. Thank you Jennifer for a fabulous evening and fun conversation.

Yelp
Delicious food and friendly service in a very nice setting. We had oysters, homemade focaccia, halibut and duck. Everything was very tasty, perfectly prepared and beautifully plated. We'll be back when in the area.

Yelp
We fell upon this place while driving by it...how it had escaped my attention for the 12 years I have been coming to the area, I have no idea. My hubby loves seafood, I do not. However, I miss fine dining with food created not pulled out of a bag and reheated. So I was excited to try this lovely restaurant with its divinely appointed rooms and incredibly attentive staff. From the first bite, it was obvious that these meals were crafted, that there was attention to seasoning, flavor connection and presentation. My husband had the salmon, and I don't eat seafood, but it was so lovely I wanted to try it. I had the game hen, and I assumed it would be pedestrian....but NO! It was bursting with flavor! The deserts are...well just try one. You are going to think chili sauce on a dessert? But yes, do it. Walk on the wild side. You will find that the delicate touches all work and that your mouth is going to thank you for hours afterwards for indulging it! I long for such experiences with food, and I cannot wait to come back and try the steak ...I'm sure that my husband will one-by-one try every other item on the menu. What a jewel on the coast!

Amy H.

Yelp
Really delicious! Seafood pasta was a hit. Great spot especially if staying at the Drifthaven across the street.

Alexandria S.

Yelp
BRING THE VEGGIE TARTS BACK PLEASE Those brought my whole family in and now we don't always stop by. But still friendly staff, other good options and clean place.

John K.

Yelp
The food was average. Service was good. They don't have pizzas anymore. Those were the best. Entrees are nearly $40 each. Cost for a family of 6 was $300. Been going here for many years. Sorry, but not going back. Way too expensive for what you get.

Kurt P.

Yelp
Meh. Stopped in yesterday for a cinnamon roll and a mocha. Would have liked a chocolate croissant, but it didn't look like the croissant was stuffed with chocolate as it should be, but rather drizzled on top. Not what I was looking for in a $4 pastry. The cinnamon roll was horrible. Flat, tough, not fluffy as they should be. The mocha was OK, but just OK. I so much wanted to love this place, the location is so nice, the building is very quaint, but I just didn't feel the love.

Brian L.

Yelp
Everything seemed fine to the point of actually getting our entrees. Our reservations were for 7:00 pm, we were seated promptly, and the waitress took our order c. 7:15-7:20. Wine that we ordered was served pretty quickly, the focaccia was nice. (The "by the glass" wine menu is very limited.) Then things went wrong. Our entrees weren't served until over an hour later. The waitress kept coming up and apologizing but no one offered us any food to nibble on while we waited. And then they were served in a staggered fashion. My wife got her duck first after about 1:20-25 minutes while I didn't get my halibut until 1:40 minutes after ordering. When I finally got my entree, the halibut was overcooked, dry and tasteless. It was served on a very tired bed of kale (I think). We were finally told by the owner who was somewhat apologetic that they'd "overbooked for that night, there were only two people in the kitchen, and they were doing a heck of a job." Huh? That's an excuse? No "you're totally comped, here's some more wine, desserts on the house." Nothing like that which would have helped immensely. ' Instead, he said "what can we do? Would you like more wine?" What? My wife - who was treating me for my birthday - said, well, you could reduce the cost. So the owner charged us half, though by overbooking he'd apparently made more more for the night. Not classy at all. Of course, overbooking implies they're trying to make money more than anything else, as does an understaffed kitchen. This was supposed to be my birthday dinner and we went to Pacific Way because of good reviews. But no one said anything about that whatsoever as the time went by. Our whole night was ruined, even if it hadn't been a birthday dinner. This placed among the bottom five worst experiences I have ever had anywhere for dinner. The wait staff wouldn't even look at us as we left. Embarrassed I guess. We will NEVER go back to Pacific Way or recommend it after that pretty terrible night.

Marlow H.

Yelp
So glad to see this return of this wonderful restaurant. Even with a limited menu, as they get started up again after being closed for a number of years, there was a nice selection of choices. My wife had the Salmon and I had a Halibut dish that were both well prepared.

Debra J H.

Yelp
Wonderful meal. I've been a fan since 2018. They never disappoint. The kale beet salad is beautiful and delicious. The skirt steak was cooked to perfection. From Manzanita to Astoria, Pacific Way is the best restaurant on the coast. Bon Appetit.

Linda C.

Yelp
This is a friendly neighborhood cafe/restaurant. Everyone here was friendly and nice. The new owners even came over to introduce himself. We tried their dinner menu. We found our dishes way too salty. The portion is small for the price you pay but I guess this is the new normal.?? $20 for a chicken thigh, salty rice and one veggie skewer. The leek and crab soup was too thick and chunky, plus this was salty too. We found a shell in the soup so at least we know it's real crab! We tried the tortellini pasta (store bought pasta and sauce). We added a $6 piece of chicken to this dish. Take a note of the size of the chicken in my photo. Crab cakes entree dish should be an appetizer. We really wanted to love this place but portion, pricing and menu is weak. I hope that the food gets better quickly. We wouldn't mind the higher prices but the food was just not that tasty.

Delaney K.

Yelp
My aunt, whom I was traveling with, had been thinking about the pastries she bought from this bakery 10+ years ago- so we had to stop by to see if they held up. They did! Absolutely delicious and flaky. We also stopped in for dinner, and savored every bite. The mushroom risotto and the chowder were divine. Our waitress was friendly and kind.

Gen G.

Yelp
We went here every morning while we were visiting. Their baked goods are so delicious and flaky. My favorite was the ham and cheese and plain croissant. It is adorable inside, pretty tiny area so we opted to take our stuff to go. There was only one worker doing everything and she was positive, quick, and super nice for being so busy!

QC F.

Yelp
Pacific Way is our go to spot in Gearhart. Great food and excellent service. Make sure you make reservations .

Dolly C.

Yelp
We had a fabulous dinner 2 days ago! Some had halibut, 3 of us had the mushroom Risotto. Halibut was outstanding. Risotto was the all out stand-out. Delicious. We're so happy to see Pacific Way come back. Wonderful.

Daryl E.

Yelp
Have not been to this restaurant in a few years and I was not disappointed with the service the food or the atmosphere. The new owners do a terrific job of making you feel welcome and have a close relationship with the chef who makes sure the nuances of the meal are communicated. The Crusted Halibut was splendid and my wife had the Steelhead which looked equally delicious. A must place for dinner if you visit the North Coast

Adam S.

Yelp
Lame. Drove out of our way to get here on a gorgeous Sunday and they're 'not serving food'. What?

Dan G.

Yelp
Pacific Coast Café is a delightful coffee shop in the small town of Gearhart that sells Jambot donuts....so save the l drive to Astoria and stop here for JamBot and good cup of coffee

Jen K.

Yelp
I was saddened to hear that the Pacific Way Restaurant & Bakery closed during COVID after 32 years. So it was a pleasant surprise to see that the owners were able to keep the bakery side of the business open, but in a new format for a new age. In addition to some of their pastry favorites (croissants, berry tarts, etc.), the cozy bakery space has transformed into a bodega with coffee drinks, fresh produce, groceries, wine, and sandwiches. The new name is a nod to family's Scottish terrier. Gearhart is one of my favorite small towns on the Oregon Coast, but it has very few retail offerings in the heart of town. So converting the bakery to a place where you can grab a little bit of everything instead of driving into neighboring Seaside is pretty ideal for the community. There are a few benches out front to enjoy your coffee or pastry and they have an in door and out door and hands-free sanitizer station to keep things safe and moving along. Open Fridays through Mondays from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Georgia J.

Yelp
We are locals and in the past 2 weeks have eaten at the Cafe 3 times! Each meal has been wonderful, along with the service (Jayden)! We are so happy Alan has gotten an outstanding chef (Ryan), this will be a weekly treat for us, for sure! We recommend the beet salad, crab cakes, halibut, pasta and if you have room try the pana cotta. We appreciate having a local place to dine at with fair prices, portions and quality.

Karen O.

Yelp
Fantastic dinner! Including delicious Hamachi and Halibut dishes. So glad this restaurant has been resurrected! We will be back!

Cheryl W.

Yelp
I think the review for bakery and restaurant should be separate. Same owners. Way different product. The bakery has come into its own with new owner. Good pastries, good barista though choices are not huge in the coffee department. But that's doable. I've eaten dinner once before the new chef. Once since the new chef. Both times were serviceable but nothing worthy of the charge for the plate. The first time we asked for bread which was offered. It was good, but you have to ask. When my husband's steamers came it was sans the crusty garlic toast promised on the menu, so he asked for it. Server seemed not to know the menu and said he would add it to our bill. Second meal. Trust me. Your Caesar salad is not a Caesar salad. The dressing was non existent when first served, tasted like the lettuce was fresh from the spinner. We asked for more dressing. It was a nice light lemon/cheese dressing. Not a Caesar dressing. The mushroom risotto was really good! Compliments to the chef. I'm very committed to this restaurant. I love it's New England ambiance. I've been going there for thirty years. I'm patient and I really really want it to succeed as a staple of my community. A new chef takes time to get in the groove of the location. Glad the new owner is committed to excellence. PS please put salt and pepper shakers on the table.

Thomas H.

Yelp
Their food is excellent and well prepared, their bakery is also excellent. I go there often. I recommend their almond croissants. The new owners seem to have taken over without a slip. My only complaint would be the hours- they're not open

Kelly H.

Yelp
We were excited for a nice upscale dinner close to our hotel. Booked reservations easily online which was nice. We were seated quickly in the front section, it was very cold. They had a heater pointed directly at us but it didn't make that section fully comfortable. We waited a good 15 minutes for someone to come and were ready to get up and walk out. Waiter finally came and announced he was brand new that evening so we right away gave the rest of the evening grace, we've all been there. We ordered two appetizers, the beet salad was delicious, the foccacia bread was dry and the dipping oil my husband said tasted like grass clippings, very strange seasonings in the oil. There were no specials so the menu offered four entrees. That's it. We ended up with salmon and a pasta dish with scallops and shrimp. Our meals came in decent time after ordering. After one bite I switched meals with my husband, the green stuff under the salmon was cilantro. Nowhere in the description did it mention cilantro and I hate cilantro with the passion of a thousand suns. So that dish was ruined. The pasta wasn't cooked thoroughly and it was way too chewy. The scallops were good, the sauce needed salt or just something, it was bland. I'm a dessert girl and thought dessert could salvage our meal. The new waiter came back, this was the only other time we had seen him since we were seated. He asked if we wanted dessert but he didn't know what the options were so he went to get the menu. There were only two options and one was gone. The only thing we could order was some weird cheesecake so we passed. The bottle of wine we got was a nice red so that was satisfactory. The rest of the meal was extremely disappointing. I was hoping for so much more from a restaurant with a yelp history like this one has. I had to present the flip side that not everyone has a successful experience with this place.

Laiha C.

Yelp
So. Freaking. Cute! I am so happy I don't live near here or I would love at Pacific Way. It is the most idyllic and quaint small town bakery, and I love it. It is cozy inside but large enough to accommodate 5 or 6 duos on a rainy day. The pastry selection wasn't huge but large enough for a good variety. We chose 4 items- a raisin snail (I could not believe how tasty this was), a raspberry/coconut/pecan and something muffin (same as the raisin snail), a blackberry scone (my least favorite but still tasty. Chock full of berries!) and a peach danish that was so mouth watering. I couldn't believe how delicious each pastry was. And I could be wrong but it looked like the kind of place where items were made fresh daily and once it was out, that's it. I love that! Will go back when we return to Seaside

Cameron H.

Yelp
Owned and run by a husband and wife who like to cook. The stuff they make is INCREDIBLE! You know is a small ma and pa shop when there is a sign on the front door, stating that only 3 people may enter at a time. This rule isn't just due to Covid but that it's such a small shop and only the husband and wife are working, so they don't want to crowd the shop. My wife and I got the Maple Sugar Roll and the Onion Bialy (cousin to the bagel) and were blown away by how good they were. As some background, we hit up this place around 11:30am, but they open at 8am. You would think the food would be stale or old by 11:30am but the food was DELICIOUS. This place gets 5 stars because I am sure if you go in the morning you will be amazed! Do yourself and favor and get their first thing at 8am and get something hot and delicious, but if you sleep in and get there late, do not worry, the food is still way good.

Mark R.

Yelp
Excellent ambiance, service and good menu selection. Food very tasty! I will be back many times

Kayla S.

Yelp
Staying in Seaside w/ our pup this weekend and Pacific Way Cafe & Marketplace was literally steps from our Airbnb. They serve Umbria coffee and homemade pastries. Highly recommend the strawberry filled croissant. We ordered dinner which they do on Friday and Saturday only. Would recommend everything we ordered. Pear and walnut salad, mushroom ravioli and cioppino. The cioppino broth was rich and flavorful and the seafood was very fresh. It came with clams, muscles, crab, cod and shrimp. They also gave use a treat for Charlie and a pup cup. Fresh food and wonderful service, ambiance is charming.

Kim H.

Yelp
Great location just a block from the dunes and you can walk straight out to the beach with goodies in hand. I stopped by and got an oat milk latte and ham and cheese croissant that were both delicious. The staff was very friendly and I will definitely be back. They had a loaf of wild rice onion bread that I wanted to come back for but didn't - a mistake on my part because it looked amazing.

Michele S.

Yelp
The Chef Owner Allen and his wife Jennifer are wonderful. My husband and I visit Gearhart, OR every year and love to eat at the Pacific Way Cafe & Marketplace. The menu changes to include the most fresh and seasonal fare, so every year we have new and wonderful cuisine to try. If you are visiting Gearhart or just passing through, I highly recommend that you make a stop at Pacific Way Cafe & Marketplace you will not be disappointed with the seasonal fare, ambiance, and friendly owners and staff. They also have an outdoor area that is dog friendly.

Brett M.

Yelp
Just visited for the first time in years. The new chef is great and a fresh experience of taste needed in the region. The old place still has its charm. Everything was priced well and the staff was wonderful. Will be back tomorrow to expand the experience!

Wow, this place was amazing! We were driving down hwy 101 & saw that it got great reviews so decided to try it. I got the French dip, my wife the pesto chicken sandwich & our 5 yr old the grilled cheese. The food was delicious, the ambience warm & comfortable, the service great. This place did everything right. There was a bakery next door but at 2:30 it was closed so we only got to experience the cafe. Would highly recommend!!!!!

Yelp
New chef and a wonderful fresh seafood dinner in a cozy, intimate setting. It felt like we were in Cape Cod at an old inn. The new owners were gracious and welcoming. We had crab chowder, oysters, halibut , and steamers. All was delicious!Looking forward to going again soon!

Yelp
I found their coffee kind of meh. Got their cinnamon bun with crossing and that was very good, even cold. Enjoyable. The ham and cheese croissant is worth anything to get, it ranks up among the best foods i have ever had, EVER! Such flaky goodness, such great flavor, an amazing time! Hands down the best, even a day old. Due to the plandemic, restaurant is closed, bakery is open. Selection isn't large yet high quality for the two things I tried. Before opening there was a line around corner of the building and it stayed steady until after I left. Well worth the wait!

Yelp
First visit to this cafe. We were only staying a few minutes away. I waited in a line outside for about 10 minutes which was worth it considering COVID precautions and that the owners run it themselves. I was grateful to find out they had one gluten free pastry - a banana nut muffin with coconut and chocolate. Not bad! My mom tried the croissant and danish. We will certainly be back next time we make it out to Gearhart.

Yelp
Killer pastries, but you will wait in a line outside for awhile if you get there in the morning. It's only the owners who work there. The coffee is decent, they serve Umbria, but it's not craft at all. Latte is foamy and over aerated, so if you're like me and a bit of a latte snob (I rarely get them so when I do perhaps my expectations are too high) get an americano. Ham and cheese croissant and their banana muffin with coconut flakes on top are our favorites. Will always wait in line for the pastries even when it's cold, but should probably have a coffee in hand while doing so!
