The Pack Horse

We are going to Pack Horse 2-3 times at year, with my friends. It was always great experience. Just this time the Christmas Turkey dinner wasn't the best, lack of vegetables ( I need to ask for Brussels sprouts) and taste of turkey. My friends were very satisfied with their dishes. The desserts were very delicious too.

A Christmas Day to remember! We will be re-booking for next year and we would 100% recommend you do the same! 🎁. My son and I visited the Pack on Christmas Day and we had the best experience! The food was stunning, the atmosphere amazing and the service was spot on - thanks so much to Luke and the team for making our day so special 🙏. Bring on the NYE party 🎉.

I booked a party of 17 here for my wedding last week and I was blown away with everything. The staff were friendly and kind and helped make the day special, and all of my party gave rave reviews about the food. I want to give special thanks to all the staff working that day! In the lead up to the event, the managers were extremely supportive and assisted me in arranging everything to accommodate my requests and needs of the party. Managers Beth and Luke were amazing, and staff member Hayley was lovely and helped gather all the information we needed. 100% recommend - whether you're going for a cosy, quiet meal or as a family gathering

Absolutely delicious roast dinner. We shared the big 2 person platter with my husband and we couldn’t finish, it was massive and so tasty! Highly recommended! Better to book on Sundays.

Me and my Wife have eaten at the Pack Horse numerous times and we absolutely love it and somehow each time the visit gets better and better, Lovely warm welcome, The beautiful decor and interior, The history of the pub/restaurant, The food and the service. We can't praise The Pack Horse enough, The food menu has something for everyone and has an extensive drink menu everything from alcohol free beers and wines to spirits beers to craft beers and IDA'S to Wine etc. On our last visit we tried the Sunday Dinner sharing platter which is different meats Turkey, Beef, Crispy Pork belly, Roast potatoes, mash potatoes, Seasonal vegetables, Unlimited gravy etc. The meats were tender and very flavoursome, everything was cooked to perfection, The portion was literally more than enough to fill us both and without a doubt one of the best Sunday dinners we have ever eaten. The service is always fantastic and the staff are very attentive and the restaurant is always spotlessly clean, The food is always cooked to perfection and we have never had a bad meal or bad experience and the management obviously know what they are doing and it shows in the reviews. 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆ 5☆

We visited The Pack Horse during our recent stay at Burrs Country Park Caravan site and we are so glad we found this place for lunch. Located on a hillside it has magnificent views towards Peel Tower in the distance from the restaurant. We were impressed by the lovely decor with a large log burning fire adding to a very pleasant atmosphere for dining. The food was very good quality and nicely presented, a cut above your usual pub fayre. A very enjoyable dining experience, we will certainly visit again in the future!

Another visit to the Pack Horse and another fabulous experience. Beautifully appointed, warm and friendly country pub with exceptional staff and great food. We were served throughout the evening by Jasper, whose professional customer service and caring manner was absolutely spot on. It is obviously a great place to work, as all the staff are friendly and engaging creating a really pleasant atmosphere. Well done to the management for promoting this visible team ethos.

This place is amazing, Shaun (not sure if it’s the right spelling) is such a credit to this place. When we said the seating wasn’t right for us he found a better spot & we really appreciated it. He was super helpful on picking food items. The spot is so cute with a wonderful view of the hills especially the horses! We got a baked Camembert for two, with some garlic & cheese flat bread, for mains we got a burger & chips, along with a cheese pie & dessert is pictured here. 10/10 recommend to anyone!
