The Palm Deck

One of the most beautiful views in Marathon, hands down! I went with a group of women to a special event they had and the entire experience was 10/10! The chef and staff went above and beyond to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves to the fullest, the food and presentation were fantastic and they have an excellent wine list. This new addition to the Marathon area’s dining choices is incredible! Thank you again for the memorable dinner, can’t wait to come back and try it again!

It felt like sitting on an exclusive deck of a spectacular cruise ship. There are both comfy seating areas, very classy wood and cushioned chairs and couches, with umbrellas... as well as table and chairs for more practical dining. We went there for breakfast as part of our stay at Grassy Flats resort. The food is excellent, just like Rhum House, same cooks, same chefs. It can get very overwhelmed with people in the morning, which is why I didn't give it a 5 for service. It isn't like they didn't try, but while we were there, they got a rush for breakfast and it took a while. The days we were able to order breakfast from the Rhum House, due to higher winds the service was excellent! The pictures come from our breakfast at Rhum House, but the menu is the same. The two most spectacular dishes for breakfast were a fruit tray that was so gorgeous to behold, and the yogurt bowl that was sprinkled with chocolate and honey. Avocado toast was excellent, so I heard (I'm gluten sensitive so I didn't get to try it). Coffee was good, and endless. Mai Tais were also available that day, as our favorite bartender was on duty and it wasn't too busy. It was well worth the deviation from our normal breakfast. On the day we had breakfast on the Palm Deck, it was too busy to ask for a Mai Tai, and the bartender on duty didn't know how to make them the same way. Food was a little slow, but they were slammed with one server on. The food quality was excellent.

This place is a rare gem of authentic hospitality, warm smiles, and the best Mai Tai’s in the world. Matt has truly created a special place, antmosphere, and setting to make memories that will last a lifetime. The staff is phenomenal , making you feel like family. The food and ingredients are top notch, something completely unexpected in a sleepy key.

If you are looking for a nice establishment to grab a few craft cocktails, a delectable bite to eat and enjoy time out with friends, this is it! The Palm Deck is our favorite in Marathon by far. The view is absolutely breathtaking and the staff is always very welcoming. Ideal location to dine as a couple, host a few people or even for your fiancé to propose to you! We got engaged in June at The Palm Deck and everything was 11/10, over the top perfect. There's truly nothing like it in Marathon. This place is sure to impress, no matter if you are looking to eat, drink, and/or just enjoy the view.

Fantastic views from this rooftop bar/restaurant!!! Great shareable plates of unique food as well as some classics on this smaller tapas style menu. Signature cocktails not like any other. Not the typical Keys, an elevated experience. 200 year old cuban mahogany tables, teak wood and other high end finishes in this open air wonder. Staff is also higher quality than you can find in most of the Keys. Just opened so its not even really listed anywhere yet. A hidden gem!!!!!

The rooftop experience is top notch, from the incredible view, to the delicious wines, designer cocktails & food. It’s a must if you are staying in the middle keys but I’d even say it’s definitely worth the drive if you’re not, it’s worth it!

Absolutely phenomenal! Chef outdid himself and every dish was exceptional. We have added The Palm Deck to the top of our favorites list.

View was amazing, food was great. Marvin the bartender was great and on point even though he was short on manpower he made it all good. The cocktails were excellent. Will be making it a regular spot.

We went to the Palm Deck for happy hour. Although the prices were good the bartender was not. He was manic, running around like crazy but not getting anything accomplished. Do not order the Oysters Rockfeller from the happy hour menu. It is a cheese dip with no oysters. Disappointing. Will not return.

Walking in you are struck by the smell of the beautiful new wood finishes. This place is gorgeous. We were advised that they're only serving the rooftop menu, but weren't seating on the roof because of the heat, which was completely understandable. That was the menu we were expecting anyways. Food in the keys is usually extremely disappointing to me. All fried food and boring. Well this place absolutely impressed all of us with their food. We tried a good half of their dishes and everything was really delicious and fresh. Service was also very friendly and there is an endearing quality about the folks working there right now. Really hoping they get the traffic they deserve because we are looking forward to being back.
