GALE WAS AWESOME Palm Restaurant absolutely delivered an incredible experience for our group. We came in with a pretty rowdy crew—lots of energy, laughter, and big appetites—and the staff handled it all with total professionalism and warmth. From the moment we sat down, our server made us feel welcome and never missed a beat, even with all the chaos at the table. The service was top-notch: attentive without being overbearing, and they made sure every order came out exactly right. The food was phenomenal—perfectly cooked steaks, delicious sides, and everything served hot and fresh. They kept the drinks flowing and the vibe positive the whole night. It’s not easy to take care of a loud group with class and patience, but The Palm nailed it. Definitely one of the best dining experiences we’ve had, and we’ll absolutely be back. Huge thank you to the entire team for making it memorable!

The food here was really good! It was super busy and I couldn’t get a reservation, so I grabbed a seat at the bar instead. I had the bacon, the Wagyu lasagna, and the Cacio e Pepe corn — all were delicious. The lasagna portion was a bit small, which was a little disappointing, but overall everything hit the spot. The decor felt a bit dated — kind of that old-school steakhouse vibe — but it worked with the atmosphere. I’ll definitely be back to try one of the steaks next time.

I love the Palm in East Hampton. I love the food, I love the service, and I love everything about the place. I wasn’t happy when they got rid of the bacon back in the day, but now that it’s back I can’t say enough good things about it. The steaks are always delicious, the specials are great, and it remains one of my favorite restaurants on the East End of Long Island.

I had dinner on Saturday night with a buddy of mine. We both were very surprised that we just walked in and we got a table. I remember a few years ago you had to have a reservation on the weekend if you wanted to get a table. I really enjoyed the Chicken Parmesan and my friend enjoyed the NY Strip. It was very lively in the dining room but it was still easy enough to have a conversation. Our server was very nice, and she took the time to recommend a few dishes. We had two managers come and check on us during our dinner, that was a great touch they both wanted to make sure we were taken care of properly. The chocolate cake is different than I remember but it was very enjoyable.

We had received a lot of hype from our friends about this restaurant, I honestly believe they were talking about the one in the city because this one was pretty much a big disappointment. Our server was terrible, he was inattentive and didn’t even know the menu well. I will say that the bus people in food runners did a pretty good job, but the waiter left a lot to be desired. My son ordered the lamb porterhouse which he was extremely excited to try because he had never seen that on a menu before, and it came out raw. We had to send it back to be re-cooked. One time was enough for us. We will not go back.

Really enjoyed my experience at The Palm. Rebecca was very sweet and welcoming. The service and food was great. I really liked the selection of bread that comes to the table. Garrett I believe was our waiters name, he was awesome. We had the lobster special which was a great deal.

Great spot for special occasions. Excellent service, delicious food and great drinks. I always enjoy my experience here and make sure to make it a part of every trip out East! Beautiful restaurant.

The burger was good but they should have added French fries not potato chips? This is a $26 burger. And fries would have complimented it better than stale chips. It took away. That palm experience

A steak place that can't get their temperatures right. I got the Rib Eye steak. It first came out undercooked and still blue. The second time after they re-made it, it came out medium well (completely brown). I was very disappointed how the kitchen can't get their act together. The ambiance is very loud with no music.

To be honest the place is beautiful and has so much potential. The food was good but nothing that you can have on a steak house elsewhere. Service was good not excellent. The drinks awful can't get a mojito right. Has potential but I was disappointed. Yuliet

This restaurant is located within an bed and breakfast is very beautiful and dimly lit. Great for a romantic dinner or any date night. Not only that but the entire staff is gorgeous! My mother and I had started the night with drinks; she ordered the margarita which was nothing special but refreshing and I had a glass of Cabernet that my mom really liked as well. We started with the prosciutto appetizer which was an interesting yet yummy take on a meat board with small accompaniments. We each ordered a filet mignon. She had the 8oz and I had the 12oz which were both hard for each of us to finish! They were cooked to order. I had mine served with the lobster béarnaise which I could of probably done without, It was not anything special. The creamed spinach was absolutely delicious, but the mashed potatoes were reminiscent of instant stove top mash that comes as a powder in the box. Very soupy and under seasoned. My mom wanted the same cab I had and when it arrived, it did not taste like mine. We are very aware of needing to let wines breathe as we both drink lots of wine and just came from wine country a few weeks ago in France. The waiter, whom was very sweet, sweared it was the same wine but we did not agree and he brought her a new wine. I really did enjoy my meal here and would return if I come back to east Hampton

Very disappointing Mother's Day meal. Food was mediocre but overpriced. French fries $16! Dining room was under construction and unpainted. Seats were seemingly recycled pews; very uncomfortable. Crab cake was good. Nothing spectacular on the 1990s menu. Service ok

Thanksgiving Dinner tonight was outstanding. Service from Nicoletta was attentive and always. You are lucky if you get her table. Food was cooked perfectly. Chris Gilman, the manager,went out of his wa y to make sure everything was as we liked. Great service, great food.

My go to for consistently good service, cocktails and food. We had an awkward start tonight as service was slow to get to me. Not sure they knew whose table it was but, once that was settled, it was smooth sailing. Ambience is not a strength, however I do like the porch, but forget to ask for it. Shared GiGi salad with my wife, we both ordered 14 OZ NY strips perfectly cooked with well-done hash browns and creamed spinach. Our order was typical for a steakhouse like The Palm and they delivered! Now that the aliens have left for the summer, we will be here more frequently. Don't get me wrong, I used to be an alien too, a weekender for 3 months, but now that I live here 12 mos. a year, it will be nice to get reservations where and when want 75%+ of the time.

Excellent!! Been coming here since I was a child. The food is always delicious and the dining room lively. Gigi salad, filet, cottage fries and creamed spinach are the way to go!

Food and service were excellent! Service staff-super attentive and kind. We were a party of 10 (w/5 kids).The 3 year old spilled water on the table and floor and 2 waiters immediately came with towels to clean it up. We didn't even have to ask. Water glasses were always kept filled. Food- amazing. We ordered wagyu, tomahawk, ribeye steaks, which were all great. The desserts were excellent as well. We had the dessert platter (5-6 top desserts). Everything was so great we ended up going back the following week.

This is a lovely place! 1st time visiting the Hamptons. We dined in the bar, which had a very warm classy East Coast charm. We were greeted by a lovely lady named Melinda. We ordered the New York, fresh asparagus and garlic mashed. We split the plate as there was plenty of food. The steak was cooked to perfection- asparagus were delicious steamed w/ fresh lemon. We had aanample serving of the garlic mmashed -we couldn't eat them all. All in all , would definitely recommend the Palm! Beautiful grounds and very friendly staff.

Such a lovely evening at this establishment. The server was very friendly and accommodating. The appetizers and entrees served to perfection.

Food was fantastic definitely recommend reservations. Drinks were strong and fantastic service was impeccable the valet really impressed me the one girl was so polite and helped me with my 3 sons even helped buckle them in she was super helpful and sweet a great plus to a great restaurant bartender was superb and management is on top of it all

I had reservations tonight at 9 pm for dinner, arrived promptly and was seated immediately. We ordered appetizers and entrees. Our server was okay for the beginning of our meal and then without notice literally disappeared. He never returned and another woman took his place as our server. Unfortunately this was not made clear to us until much later on. We had wanted refills and to order something else but didn't see our server. We even overheard other staff whispering "who took this table" while cleaning up at the end of the night. It was very embarrassing and made us uncomfortable. I don't ask for much when I spend $300 on dinner but at least just explain who my waiter is. Also, the food was not so great. Chicken parm 5/10, calamari 4/10, chocolate cake 8/10.

Dining at The Palm in East Hampton has always been a beautiful experience. I've been here quite a few times in the past and have always enjoyed myself. I could discuss how delicious the steaks are or how their hand-cut French fries are more than enough to keep you satisfied, but the restaurant really outdoes themselves with their view of The Hamptons especially at night. The atmosphere of the restaurant is almost straight out of a fairy tale. These restaurant experiences are just as beautiful as they are delicious and one that you can only seem to get in their Hamptons location. Their New York City location has all of the great features that the Hamptons location has with their delicious food and accommodating services, but the dining experience combined with the comfortable and scenic background is enough to make your visit unforgettable.

GM Chris Gilman made my night by helping me surprise my friend. Chris was attentive and went out of his way to make this a night they will never forget. Even though Chris was swamped, he took the time to make sure the special surprise was pulled off without a hitch. I love this restaurant! Don't believe the other reviews. The food is always outstanding and the service impeccable, and on a level of what should be expected from this legendary restaurant. The Palm is a Hampton's classic, perfect for celebrating special occasions, or a enjoying a more casual dining experience at the bar with a fantastic menu and fun ambiance. Walking into The Palm is always a special experience alone with the warm greeting and sophisticated ambiance that is a sign of the great experience that awaits.

I decided to give the Palm another try since my last visit in November. My experience in November was not good to say the least. Tonight, It took an hour and a half to get my dinner! My filet was perfect however my Béarnaise sauce arrived cold. It took 7 minutes for the new sauce to arrive. They over heated it and it separated. Here is a picture of what they served me. How can the chef serve this to a customer!! My friend ordered the same filet and hers came back raw. She sent it back and it came back rare again!! When you are spending $58 on an 8oz filet you expect to get served what you ordered.

After looking forward to trying the famous restaurant The Palm, I was happy with the food, but extremely disappointed in the service. I've been to plenty of cheaper restaurants with equally as good of food, and much better service. Located in East Hampton, on Main Street, from the outside of the restaurant, I couldn't tell it was an expensive steakhouse. The outside landscaping wasn't the best. I think there might usually be valet, but because of COVID, you park your own car in the back lot. A reservation was made over the phone. When we arrived, the hostess said she couldn't find our reservation, but sat us anyway. The restaurant was pretty much empty on Labor Day at 5:30pm. The prices are high but nothing crazy. I just think for what I received, the whole experience was overpriced. The service, or lack there of, wasn't attentive. When I go out to a nice restaurant, I expect quality service. Drink refills were barely offered. Water rarely came around to be refilled. The server spilled water while pouring it. She also kept dropping silverware while she was trying to clear the table. We were never asked if we were enjoying our meals. No one cared if we liked it or not. I just didn't feel like this deserved a positive rating based on the service. I was barely even offered fresh pepper on my salad, it was more of an afterthought. The drinks were ok but not worth the money. I had a Palm Mule which was refreshing. I also tried a sip of my Fiancé's Lemon Drop. It thought it was strong, but not worth $18. The food was tasty, but not worth the $$. All of the entrees are a la carte. It certainly wasn't my best steak, but wasn't my worst either. The food lays somewhere in the middle. I will be reviewing what I tried: -Complimentary bread and some bread sticks. Sadly, I wasn't offered more. Comes with butter. Fresh rolls which is a plus. -Steakhouse Wedge Salad: Very tasty, fresh lettuce, delicious bacon and walnuts. It's a tiny portion but full of flavor. 4.5 out of 5 stars -Caesar Salad: Pretty standard. Again fresh ingredients, but nothing unique or out of the ordinary with this Caesar. 3 out of 5 stars -New York Strip Steak 18oz-Added Lobster Truffle Butter: Cooked to absolute perfection! Best dish of the night! Medium rare, so juicy and flavorful. Adding the lobster truffle butter on top was a good move. If you're a truffle fan, this will add a little extra goodness to your steak. 5 out of 5 stars -Lobster Gnocchi Side: Very tasty, but heavy. Don't over order when it comes to sides. 1 side is plenty to share between 2 people. The gnocchi was tasty but only tiny tiny pieces of lobster throughout. 3.5 out of 5 stars -Garlic Mashed Potatoes: Honestly, didn't taste the garlic. I thought these were just ok. 3 out of 5 stars Overall, I'm happy I tried this restaurant but it wasn't great in the service department. Tasty steak, but probably won't be back anytime soon.

Above average dining experience in old world East Hampton. Traditionally dependable but needs a bit of service training.

Great food. Friendly service, they were understaffed but that is understandable during these times but they hustled well. Had the NY strip it was cooked to perfection and that's all that really counts to be honest. The people that give this restaurant one star review because It happened to be understaffed are some of the lowest people going around. You elite loses should pile your money together and start a restaurant.

The service and hospitality here earn this place 5 stars easily. Tonya the hostess is incredible and so accommodating. She will keep us coming back for years to come. Thanks you!

It's the Palm it's fame speaks for itself. New Owners have kept the tradition going. Best Chicken Parm on Earth

I have been dining at the palm in the city for years, love it there. Can't say the same for the east hampton location. Service was terrible. Our server was unprofessional and not trained well enough, she couldn't properly set the table and our glasses were dirty. When you come to a high end restaurant you expect to be given great service when you're spending $500 for dinner. Food was bland and warm. Nothing was actually hot. Mashed potatoes were like glue. Steak was gritty and chewy. The wedge salad was good but wasn't enough to make up for the bill. Our server was too busy laughing with co workers to even bother asking if we wanted another glass of wine and had to ask for a refill of water. Honestly there are much better restaurants in east hampton to dine at for the price you're going to pay.

I've been going to The Palm for about 35 years. This includes about 7 or 8 of their locations but East Hampton has received most of my visits. It has been about 2 years since my last visit. That was after the acquisition by the Landry Group and that experience was 5 stars as had every preceding visit. Since then i had heard that things had changed as to the food and the service. Tonight I went with a friend who had never been to any Palm. We both had the NY strip medium rare and shared the hash browns and creamed spinach. She also had a Caesar salad. We both enjoyed every mouthful of the perfectly prepared dishes. Everything was wonderful. As to the service it was beyond attentive. In addition we were asked not less than a half dozen times how everything was. Upon leaving the host thanked us for coming and went so far as to shake my hand in expressing his appreciation. The lady i was with said how much she enjoyed every aspect of the meal many times. Finally, valet parking attendant was there quickly when we arrived and when we departed. I can't think of anything that could have been improved upon.

Solid steaks! Make sure to mention if it's your birthday you get a free lobster! Very good service and front of house staff

I always love going to the Palm for the bartender Joey it's just great and the chicken Parm, one of my favorite dishes to eat when I'm in East Hampton. I'll definitely be back in the next couple weeks.

A1. Service and food were amazing. A must try if you're in East Hampton. Our waitress was patient and helpful.

Again we tried the Palm and what a disappointment. We went into the bar area and sat at a table. Very very slow service to the point after being seated and no one came to our table for 20 min decided it was best to get up go to the bar and order out drinks. When the waitress came over we (2) ordered an appetizer of steak tartar and crab cocktail. Then a steak sandwich, Cesar salad and octopus for our main course. The food took some time to come out and when it did it was our main course, they forgot our Appetizers. The family next to us understandably was upset too as was several other tables that had been waiting for quite some time for some one to even come to the table for a drink order. With our main course the octopus was cold and tuff. Also our appetizer never made it to our table. At this point I went to speak to the manager and all she could say was they are short staffed. My thought was why then open the bar area for service. Since Coming into the area last November 2021 we have been to the Palm every month to find the food always very good but the service terrible all but twice. This was the final straw and we will not be coming back. I can only recommend Si Si, Cittanuova, 1770 house and Fresno of East Hampton. So Pass on the Palm and go elsewhere.

Went there tonight with my sister at 7 P.M. with a reservation for the table for 2 special. The drinks came pretty fast, but the service was otherwise very bad. People who came in after us got served first, the waitress spoke to us about the menu then just walked away without taking our order. The manager came over seeing as how we were just sitting there waiting. He took our order. After quite some time our soup came out, we ordered different soups, but he served both the same thing, I said I didn't order that, I got the soup Dajour, so he went back and never saw him again, after my sister finished hers, I still wasn't served And it wasn't really busy! So I called the waitress over about the soup, she comes back and says Oh, we don't have any, we only have the Bisque, or salad. I chose neither and figured I'd just wait for dinner. Well dinner never came either, just a bowl of bread. So we waited, and waited, and waited! The manager came back again to apologize about the soup and said he'd pay for our drinks to make up for it, so Ok. Then we wait some more, Now it's almost 8:30 we still don't have our food! I got a hold of one of the girls and said we're leaving if we don't get our food now. Well it came out in 5 minutes then! The food was very good by the way. But the service is really lacking. I think the problem is, the waitress just takes the order and they have a runner to serve it. So she don't know we didn't get fed, but she should know how her tables are doing. I've waitressed in plenty of restaurants in my day, as a matter of fact, I even waited there a few times. I don't think I'll be back there any time soon.

I ordered a lobster dinner and picked it up with no problem. We enjoyed it. I did notice that I was overcharged for the dinner by $10. I called and spoke to Tanya on multiple occasions who assured me she was taking care of the error I never received the credit, and while it is not a large amount it is nevertheless disappointing that they failed to give me the credit I deserve. I shouldn't have to keep calling and wasting my time and theirs. Hence the one star review for customer service, or should I say, lack of

Great service, drinks, food, and historic charm. Great place to unwind. Definitely would recommend coming here. Definitely will be coming back.

This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had. It started with the cocktails - we ordered vodka cranberry's. The waiter comes back and says "we only have raspberry vodka". So we accept it, under the assumption the waiter would return with raspberry flavored vodka AND cranberry juice. We were served a full glass of raspberry flavored vodka, no cranberry juice. It tasted like gasoline over ice. A few of us ordered the filets. I ordered mine rare, it was served medium well. Two others in our group were served well done filets when medium rare was requested. We sent two of the steaks back because they were inedible for how thoroughly cooked they were. The plates that were sent back were loaded up with the sides that we ordered (Brussels, asparagus, mash potatoes - all $15 each). The steaks were returned with no sides. This time around, the returned steaks were RAW. The first time it was completely over cooked, the second time it was literally bleeding. And they took all of our sides. Now I'll move onto the service. We couldn't even understand our waiter and every time we mentioned that we weren't satisfied, he just walked away without saying anything. When we asked to speak with the manager, he came over to say about 3 words and would walk away with a smug grin on his face. About $15 was taken off for each person, but they should have paid us to eat at this poor excuse for a restaurant. I will recommend to everyone I know to NEVER eat at a Palms restaurant.

Joey bag-a-doughnuts behind the bar is the best in the hamptons, no question. Steaks are better than you'll see anywhere east of the canal. Service is professional. Drinks are doing the trick. You can't go wrong with the palm. And there is a bison burger at the bar when your sunday picks don't work out as planned.

Always a place to visit when our in the Hampton's. This place is iconic. The food is always great with steaks cooked to perfection and the creamed spinach - the best around. If in the area, a must.

....Always eat in the bar. Joe is the best, most efficient Bartender in the Hamptons. He is the reason we eat at The Palm so often!

Well it's true. The Palm of the past is no more. Totally destroyed by the new ownership. I am not sure how they can even pretend to to be a top restaurant. It was so sad not just the food but the fact that no one was there. Don't waste your time or money on this place. Not even for old times sake. They will be redoing it soon as no one will go even though you can't get into any place else in the Hampton's. It's that awful.

Reliably great, rich food. Expensive but consistent. You know what you're getting.

The food here is consistently delicious, albeit pricey. I know it's known for steak but their chicken parm is A+! With the pandemic, they offer outdoor sitting in the lovely yard. Only issue is that they need more lighting outside - it got very dark and the candles on the table didn't do much. Also citronella would be great to ward off bugs. Either way, the restaurant was creative and set up a beautiful setting for diners to enjoy their food during this challenging time.

The Palm never fails in serving lobster stuffed with crabmeat. It is always on the mark. Disappointing was the bread basket. A nice assortment of breads BUT THEY WERE ALL COLD . Not room temperature but cold!!! The Palm should get the back of the house staffed with someone or a piece of equipment to serve bread warm like their competitors. Sorry Palm - moderate priced restaurants do it you should too.

Fingers crossed that The Palm in East Hampton does not go downhill following the acquisition by Landry's. Been back a few times for dinner since, and happily the meals have been quite good despite some minor missteps which suggest more training of new staff is needed. All things that can be overlooked with hopes the kinks will be worked out soon and service will be back to par. It's also very nice to see many of the same wait staff too.

I love this place! This Palm is in Hunting Inn and is very charming. It's lots of old wood and corners and a nice room with couches as well. It's very crowded in season, like everywhere in East Hampton! But the servers are friendly and always remember the regulars. The bar gets packed in really tightly and the food can be pricey, but they have great happy hour specials and fabulous martinis!

My wife and I stayed at the Huntting Inn for our anniversary over the Thanksgiving Weekend. Our first night we booked a table downstairs at the Palm. We didn't end up sitting for an hour after our reservation was set. The restaurant was packed with "locals". The ones who occupy East Hampton in the Summer and live in the plush houses nearby. Although we were annoyed having to wait, the staff was apologetic for the delay. It wouldn't be the last time they apologize. As the same "locals" who sat around us, lacked many manners. I'm not one to fuss over things like this and I understand it were the holidays, but there's a difference between sharing a laugh with family and friends and being so obnoxiously loud that one could hear every word of a conversation. And that was just the tip of the iceberg. Tables were conversing with each other from two sides of the room. Standing up to greet people in the middle of the dinning room while others are eating. And i kid you not napkins and utensils being thrown to get some one's attention. Other than the horrible display of inappropriate etiquette, the food and drinks were exceptional. Just be warned if you're not from here and used to this behavior its more than likely to occur if the "locals" are visiting, i mean around.

So dissapointed with the service and the food! No one was at the front desk for like 7-9 minutes.We just waited there for a while. And then, we have waited for 50 minutes for the steak. I have ordered medium, it came well done. We are not coming back at all!

So disappointed . Apparently there are new owners. Even the staff is unrecognizable:( They changed the menu and def lost the quality. We were staples at the Palm, going at least twice a month. We tried three times to be Sure. Each time we left so sad. The Palm is no longer the Palm we knew!!!!

Over rated, over priced and definitely over crowded.I feel everyone should try it to at least have the experience of the atmosphere and history. I personally have eaten far better meals at small local owned establishments and fantastic steak house in the city and other states at a much better price

Ate there last night: pasta was tasteless and fish was not fresh. Found the service to be very slow and inattentive; I understand that the Palm was bought out . It clearly isn't the place it once was. Bartender was rude. Don't waste your money- not cheap!

This is a very good restaurant. People love it because its a charming building, you get to see celebrities and it has an old school feel. While those things are great, I love this place for the food. I've been to many Palm locations and this one is truly one of the best (Philadelphia is my favorite). The space is a little bit tight, but nothing ridiculous. The service is top notch and it has the same great menu as any other Palm location. As I normally do, on my most recent visit, I went with the shrimp bruno and the strip. The shrimp bruno is breaded shrimp in a buttery, mustard base sauce. One of my favorite apps anywhere. The steak was great as usual, however it was noticeably overcooked, and this was actually the second time I've had a steak there overdone. Not a huge deal as its still such a great steak, but obviously a negative for a steakhouse of this caliber. I've also gotten the chicken parm here in the past. While I rarely turn down an opportunity to eat a great steak, let me tell you that this is one of the best chicken parm's in the world. I cannot recommend it enough. All in all, this is a great place. Obviously very pricey, easily tops $100/person with drinks, but its one of the rare places that are worth it.

Obsessed with this Palm location! My husband and I have been nerds for a long time and referred to ourselves as "Palmists" which, admittedly, is both snobby and weird. We were even painted on the wall at the original location in Manhattan before it was sold and torn down. Get over here and wipe my tears. So it should surprise exactly no one that we tried out the East Hampton location while we were there for the weekend. As always, the food was excellent. I love the Caesar salad (add some shrimp! It's too good) and the lamb (butterflied and medium rare!), with creamed spinach (so buttery and delicious!) finishing off the meal with the hash browns (crispy!). That's my go to meal but I'm a glutton, so of course I've tried almost everything on the menu and recommend it all. What's that? I should be embarrassed? You're probably right. Honestly, at this point if my pants had tear ducts, they would be crying. What I found most special about this location, however, was the space and the martinis. The martinis came with blue cheese stuffed olives, which is a total win for me. Nice big glasses ensure you get a nice big drink and they bring the olives on the side, lest your 'tini has just a bit less vodka to make room for the olives. So smart - those East Hampton Palm Bartenders. Secondly, the space is really very quaint. It's inside the Huntting Inn, so you pull up to this beautiful white mansion. Inside, it's your classic Palm style, but with the restaurant divided into separate rooms, making it all feel very cozy. There is also a room that looks as though it may have once been a porch of some kind, right in the front. I love that they kept the original details of the building as much as possible while keeping the whole Palm vibe. The biggest departure from the other spots is the lack of caricatures on the walls. Instead, there is white wainscot and mirrors, with a few framed pictures hanging in places throughout. The white tin ceilings look original, which is pretty cool. The brown paneling and booths with the brass rods are distinctly Palm, so it's an interesting way of integrating it into this old building. And, like I said before, you totally go for the food. But stay for the olives and the atmosphere.
