I love this hotel! I recently stayed here for the second time and had an amazing stay. We had booked super last minute for basic room and upon arrival we were upgraded to a beautiful beach view for my birthday and for being returning customers! The room looked updated and was clean. Amazing service by everyone here!! The food was all SO fresh and delicious! We enjoyed the breakfast and were in love with the seafood pasta and harvest salad for dinner. Service by the beach and pool is always amazing! You can order from a QR code or grab a server. They were always happy to get you anything you needed. I can’t wait until my next visit!!

I don't think I will ever stay at another hotel in Miami again. This was the perfect retreat and treat for my husband and I. We loved the location, amenities, food, service, and cleanliness. The hosts were so kind and informative. Thank you to James A. for going above and beyond for making sure me and my husband were well taken care of and for being an overall professional. Thank you to Christopher M. for providing my husband and I with restaurant and bar options in the area and on the property. Thank you to the other receptionists and cleaning staff for always being warm and friendly. We hope to see you all soon!

Nice clean hotel, with a nice pool, and great beach access. Personally if I stayed in Miami again I would stay a bit further south down the beach closer to the restaurants - the hotel location is fine but not amazing. My kids did like the pool though, and there are plenty of loungers with parasols to stay out of the sun. Plus there were some little green resident friends scuttling around the pool to keep us entertained. (Be wary of jellyfish if you go in the sea, I didn’t know about them and they do sting quite badly, like a strong nettle sting that doesn’t go away for some time.)

Overall it is quite good. It's downtown miami so it's expensive, but for what you pay expect it to be slightly below expectation. You are mainly paying for the location.||||Check in time isn't until 4pm but they were able to get me in at 11am after an early morning flight which was exceptional.||||The room was very comfortable and clean, although a tad small. It was fine for just one person but would've been extremely tight with anymore. The paint was peeling off the door in the bathroom and the minifridge wasn't cold and had a funny smell. ||||The showerhead in the bathroom reminded me of taking showers onboard a navy warship. I am not even joking, it was absolutely awful. Extremely low flow rainfall style mist. ||||The onsite restaurant and bar Essensia is fantastic. The service was great and all of the food I had there (a skirt steak and the breakfast buffet) was amazing.||||My worst experience overall was at the poolside bar, it smelled funny and the service was mediocre and the bartop was sticky and one of the bus boys put someone else's dirty silverware right next to me that sat there until I left (atleast an hour). ||||The bartender also put in my food order wrongly, but what they brought was still tasty (woodfired pizza) so I didn't complain.||||The pool and beach is nice and there are plenty of chairs.||||If you're looking for a nice place to stay downtown and price isn't an objection then this is one of the better choices I'm sure.

Google
Very good hotel in quiet area within walking distance to restaurants. Room was clean and well-kept but small. No space to use the luggage rack without it being in the way. Breakfast was good with a great view of the canal, birds and some chickens. We were greeted every time we entered the hotel. When we're in the Miami area we will stay here again!

10/10 Would recommend. I will come back for another vacation. The staff was helpful, personable and respectful. I had a late flight and they held my bags for me. The rooms were comfortable. Great views. Quiet. The beach access was very nice.

Google
Hosed our son and his beautiful bride's wedding there in October. Everything was wonderful. The hotel is beautiful with a great pool and just steps away from the beach. The entire staff top to bottom were very friendly and professional. Our wedding planner Vanessa was absolutely great. She handled everything for us and made it a fantastic time for all of our guest. I would highly recommend the Palms for a vacation or hosting your special event.

Google
Amazing location and access to beach. Only improvement is to provide complementary drinking water in the room. We did not use much of the hotel’s services because we explored the city most of our stay, bur will comment that elevators (there were only two) were a tad slow, and at 9am the wait time is long. We were put at the “city view” which has the view of the street and building across. We could have chosen the beach facing rooms had booking.com had these information at reservation (it wasnt provided). At check-in, staff was friendly (James was supervising a trainee) all went well. Overall a pleasant stay.

Yelp
I absolutely LOVED my stay at the Palms!!! I booked my trip through jet blue vacations which was a first for me. I think I got a really good deal on my flight and hotel stay. I've looked at pricing for the Palms again and it does seem higher than what I paid. I'd pay to come back again though. The only negative thing to note that was upon checking in we found 2 pairs of dirty underwear in the closet of our room. We called the front desk and they immediately apologized and moved us to another room. I felt so relaxed at this hotel. From the room to the staff and restaurant it was just perfect. The food at the bar / restaurant was great. The service staff was so friendly and the pool / exterior area is very serene. It doesn't feel like you're in Florida. I can't wait to plan my next trip here!

Yelp
Barbara and Vanessa are the BEST! They helped us make our dream wedding come true at The Palms Hotel and Spa back in June! Being born and raised in Miami, there are lots of picturesque wedding venues that unfortunately are more flash than substance, especially given their asking price. The Palms Hotel and Spa is not one of those cases. This venue truly provided a white glove, boutique experience. The venue itself felt very detached from the hustle and bustle of Miami Beach with all the greenery and tranquility of the outdoor gazebo area. That scenery, combined with the art deco style of the hotel and the wonderful service of the hotel staff, truly transports one back to a simpler, and calmer point in time before Miami and Miami Beach became the world renowned metropolises they are today. Every detail was attended to by Barbara, Vanessa and the entire team! The food which was prepared by the same chef as their onsite restaurant, Essensia, was phenomenal! After our wedding, we also enjoyed our stay in an ocean view room, which had very comfortable linens, and pillows, and got to enjoy the hotel facilities the next day. We absolutely loved the pool and beach area, which had plenty of room for the guests. The hotel also reminds you of all their sustainability efforts-- hence the wood-like keycards that are used to access your room as well as other areas. Thank you for dealing with our questions throughout our year-long planning process! The execution of everything our summer wedding and our subsequent stay at the hotel couldn't have been better! We travel frequently, and can proudly say that our experience at The Palms Hotel and Spa has been a standout!

Yelp
You get what you pay for. The room rates were reasonable, but the price of food/drinks were too expensive for what you get imo. The hotel is dated and that is reflected in the pool area/rooms. We went for happy. Breakfast was good. Cocktails at the beach were subpar. We were told happy hour at the lobby bar was from 4-6. However, when we went the bartender said 5-7 even though the menu showed 4-6 like we were told.

Yelp
We loved our stayed. We had a reservation for 2 adults and 2 children. My husband and I arrived the first day without our children and gave us a small room. Everything was cleaned and the staff friendly attentive and polite. We decided to add another night and finally gave us a bigger room. They didn't know why we were given such a small room the first three nights. Other than that everything was perfect.

Yelp
Amazing hotel and exceptional customer service!! From the moment we arrived the staff were nice and attentive to us. Every interaction was solicitous and genuine. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. The hotel and our room were so clean, pretty and peaceful, quiet and relaxing. Great soundproofing. Everything was better and prettier than the pictures! Beach access was so easy. Food was fresh and quality was consistently good, both at the hotel and beachside. Customer service really stood out. overall, it was a wonderful experience from start to finish!

Yelp
My sister and I needed a vacation where we sat and stared at the ocean for a few days with as little movement as possible, and the Palms fit the bill. Our room was clean and well-maintained, with a separate toilet from the shower. The open areas were clean, and all the workers were friendly and helpful. I even had an excellent employee return my earbuds when I dropped them without noticing they were missing. Each morning at 7 am, I sat and watched the hard-working men set up the chairs and umbrellas and were able to pick our chairs at the 8:30 opening time. Starting at 11 and throughout the day, attendants brought drinks as food that we ordered promptly and efficiently. Our experience was great, and we vowed to make a yearly trip to the Palms.

Yelp
Writing this review because we dined at the restaurant last night. I honestly have to say that Essencia is back. The service was better than ever and the food was delicious. Oh, and for the parents that read this: they offer the best kids menu in the city (it really shows that they care about the nutrition we give to our children). We had an incredible evening. Thank you to everyone that took care of us. Oh, and to the young Dutchman that called us back to book our reservation: you're going to have massive success in the hospitality industry - thank you. Yelp
We had an amazing stay at the Palms. The staff was AMAZING. Everyone was so polite and attentive and went out of their way at every turn to help us feel comfortable. We loved the vintage vibe, pool and beach. Food and drinks were delicious! Heads up: the room we had was funny with the doors to the bathroom areas opening in. Just a clunky experience, but all the positives outweighed that. Bed was comfy. Room and bathrooms were clean. Loved the espresso machine in the room. We'll definitely be beach.

Aileen I.

Yelp
As soon as you walk in, you can smell the spa. The ambiance and the decor is beachy and relaxing. My family and I enjoyed the location and the overall atmosphere. The downsides are the small room sizes. Other issues were the lumpy beds and pillows. For how much we paid, I expected it to be beyond comfortable. Would I stay there again? Yup, but I would probably upgrade to a larger room or suite.

Yelp
The Palms Hotel & Spa is located in Miami Beach at 30th & Collins which is a bit north of all the action so that is the first thing folks need to be aware of. If you want to be in the heart of things I'd probably stay further south which is walking distance from numerous restaurants and bars. On the positive side, The Palms is quieter and not as crazy so reserve based on what you prefer. You definitely have a limited number of options come night time in this area. We were very happy with the hotel overall. Clean, nice rooms, nice pool area with a tiki bar and the beach area is very well run with attendants manning the umbrellas and chairs. Was very impressed with the pool and beach folks in finding seats no matter what time we got down to the pool/beach. Kudos! The valet service is all done thru text which is a great idea. Fast, efficient and made it very easy to go in/out without issues. Overall a very pleasant experience and trip. I wouldn't quite put the Palms at the level of a 5 star hotel but a relatively inexpensive option (for Miami) and a quality hotel. I'd definitely consider going back!

Olivia B.

Yelp
My flight arrived ahead of my group and I had a lot of time to kill before I could check in at my hotel. I saw that there was a spa next door and walked right over. I asked if they had any openings and I was lucky that they had one in 45 min! The receptionist was extremely helpful in giving me a tour and making me feel comfortable. Alejandro was my masseuse and it was one of the best massages I've ever had! He was so kind and tailored it to my needs. Expect spa prices but it's so worth it! I will definitely be back

Mike P.

Yelp
One elevator the size of a coffin to service 12 floors of a fully booked hotel, i would have had many good things to say , but that one thing negated all the positives. And upon reading previously reviews it seems that its a recurring theme. Sad

Savanna M.

Yelp
The Palms hotel is an excellent place to stay in Miami Beach! The boutique hotel strives in service and is the perfect spot for a low key beach trip! When I arrived, there was some confusion with the bags and valet but was able to get it sorted - I would recommend to take your own bags, don't give to valet/bellman if you can avoid! The hotel offers some great amenities, including a spa and yoga classes on Sundays. I scheduled my spa treatment ahead of time to make sure I had an appointment at my preferred time/day. Conveniently located with easy access to the beach, which includes chairs / umbrellas with full service. However, one downside was that the rooms were outdated and could use some modernization. Despite that, I still enjoyed my stay and made the most of the hotel's offering, we will be back!

Yelp
The palms is located in South Beach along Collins avenue. It has prime access to the beach which is dreamy! The check in process was fairly easy when we arrived on a Thursday around 5pm. The gentleman was nice and very informative. We booked the King Ocean front room which was a decent size but for the cost I thought it would be a bit more updated or at least include a balcony. The view of the ocean from the 10th floor is beautiful but its just window gazing. The king was comfortable and the ac was delightful. The only serious ding was the shower. The glass door just wouldn't keep the water from dripping out so there would be puddles of water after a shower. We did place a towel on the outside but it only did so much and would spill out to the doorway hall. I could actually see this being a hazard. Overall, all staff encountered was welcoming and polite. The tiki bar is nice when going to the beach and the beach service is on point. Serena checked in and was a pleasant cocktail waitress despite the heat on the beach! I do wish the restaurants and bars were open later but they close early at 10pm so couldn't enjoy a night cap when returning from dinner. Otherwise, a solid spot to stay in Southbeach.

Yelp
Visit 7/2-7/8Stayed here 2 years ago and had a great time. Beach is spectacular and the staff is very attentive. This trip has not been mainly for the issues with the elevators. It had been very disappointing and time consuming to say the least. Staff unconcerned about the inconvenience. They should offer some credit for the stay. Totally unacceptable to have these issues for what they charge.Sad to say but we will not be returning in the future.

Pepsi T.

Yelp
Over-priced drinks at the bar! What a rip-off ! Valet parking over-priced too ! Staff is indifferent to customer needs !

D V.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel in a wonderful resort style setting. Rooms were comfortable. Pool towels were readily available as well as fruit water. Excellent!

Min S L.

Yelp
I've stayed at this hotel multiple times over the last 15plus years. I hate that the full bathroom is separate! We did not like the "water closet" area w/ the small sink over the toilet on one side and the full sink/shower area on the other. The room was okay by room standards, the smell from the spa was amazing and the food options were okay as well. The check in was the best part of staying here, the desk clerk, melinda, was very friendly and personable. the downside was when we checked out, our flight was early/ we utilized the lyft and the bellman mad the luft driver park on the street. now the reason this was not okay is because this hotel is elevated or sits up from the street, so not only do we have to carry our luggage down the flight of steps to get to the pull in drive, but also down the driveway- very very very inconvenient. Also, this hotel is not very handicap accessible, its probably the bare minimum offered.

Michelle J.

Yelp
I can't say enough incredible things about our stay at the Palms. A tranquil oasis! Modern, airy, vibrant, clean, accommodating. We had an issue when we received our room, it was quickly resolved without hesitation. The customer service at the palms deserves 10 stars. Having stayed at the Ritz less than a month ago, this palms hotel puts them to shame. The lobby is beautifully decorated with bright trees open it smells fresh and refreshing. The pool is incredibly shaded with huge palm trees and umbrellas, our favorite was the sand area that's attached to the pool deck, you get the sense and feel of being on the beach without the inconvenience that comes with it. Our room was spacious, modern and clean, I love the ceiling fan for constant circulation. Very comfortable beds, products in the room smell amazing!!! Their green initiative is 5 star, compostable recyclable, reusable, their mission is clear. They even encourage beach clean up by providing pails if you see trash. There wasn't a single negative aspect of our stay.

Michelle L.

Yelp
This review is for their poolside tiki happy hour Friday through sunday 7/9. Great menu and a must try is the coconut mojito. The Palms is always such a relaxing ambiance and the hotel is very inviting. Stop in for their weekend happy hour.

Debbie W.

Yelp
Love this hotel! Comfortable accommodations, clean, pleasant staff, beautiful pool area, and its steps from the gorgeous beach. Beach chairs included. Drinks and food poolside are expensive but the food is delicious with quality ingredients. Note, tip is included in check. I don't understand why they leave a spot for additional tip. So beware. All restaurants on Miami Beach seem to do this. We were there primarily for the location and amenities. Rooms were comfortable, included robes and espresso. We're looking forward to another visit.

Lauren K.

Yelp
I will start with all the positives: I really loved the hotel vibes and decor in the lobby area. The bell guys were super nice , helpful and great! The pool was decent and the pool service was great. The cons: I would say this hotel is very overpriced for what you are getting our room was extremely small and def not like the photos. The advertising was misleading. Going to the rooms the elevator smells like pee and the hallways also have a bad smell. Just not what we were expecting.

Jaquie M.

Yelp
Great pool/beach experience at the hotel today. Very chill atmosphere. My pina colada was tasty but lacked alcohol. Highly recommend the cucumber infused water. The parrots were a nice touch. The service was good and the grounds were clean. Would come back again.

Yelp
Mixed feelings- This was our honeymoon trip and we were really excited about it, especially in a year like this. We booked the palms at least a month beforehand, and called to alert the staff, about our celebrations. When I called, I spoke to someone called John (I might be wrong) and I got a sense that he wasn't very friendly or familiar, but I let it slide. We called again less than a week before our trip to make sure we had a nice room for our honeymoon, and same thing occurred , staff sounded curt and hurriedly rushed me off the phone. On arrival, I excitedly checked in with the petite, black female staff with a short haircut, and her attitude cut my joy short, I'll tell you that. There was absolutely "no congrats" from her. How do people tell you they just got married and, they chose your hotel to celebrate and not one person or staff even said congrats with a smile? That's terrible. I work in hospitality and I know for sure exceptional customer service is everything as it yields a return from consumers. This hotel lacked that. To make things worse, they took us up to the crappiest room they had on the 3rd floor, with no view and SO DARK! without any respect for our requests or our marriage! This is where we went livid. I came back down and asked to speak to the supervisor, Julian spoke to me and arranged to have us in a better room on the 4th floor. This was a better room, but not one chocolate, or even a complimentary bottle or note to celebrate with the couple. We were truly disappointed. Now the good part, while waiting for our room, we waited at the tiki bar for some food and drinks. Yelian was our waiter and he was truly a delight, we later found out it was his first day on the job, what a pleasant surprise, I hope the palms promotes him! The food and drinks at the tiki bar were not so special and drinks weren't as strong. We had a nice access to the beach. Bear in mind you're charged about $38 per day per guest for resort fees. It is not cheap. All in all, we had a nice room after so much hassle, and we extended our stay by two more nights so we could spend thanksgiving. Not sure I'll be coming back, as the hotel has a lot of work to do especially cultivating a warm environment between staff and consumers, especially in a year like this.

Tiffany D.

Yelp
Absolutely beautiful hotel. This hotel is an oasis in Miami. It's right on the beach and feels like a hidden spot because the pool is private and beautiful. The room is standard but the Oceanview is breathtaking. This is a solid 4 star place.

Matt P.

Yelp
This hotel is right on the beach which is a plus. We checked in for a wedding that started at 4:30. Check in was available at 4:00 and we got there at 3:00. They said our room wasn't ready but they could upgrade it to another room for an extra $40. I'm surprised no rooms were ready by 3:00. After we agreed to the increase in price the guy behind the desk left and came back telling us our room is now ready and we don't need to pay an upgrade. Confusing how they didn't know what was going on. Anyways, when we got to the room it was very nice. It was a little strange how the toilet was separate from the shower. They were in their own separate little rooms. They were nicely decorated though. The toilet had a nice feature where it had a sink above it that you washed your hands with and it used that leftover water to flush the toilet. I'm not a big green person but I think that's a good idea. The grounds around the hotel were meticulously kept up. Everything looks gorgeous and green. A small gate let you out to where you could walk to the beach and a path that went up and down South Beach.

Brenda C.

Yelp
Very rude service in the end! Charged me what I was not supposed to be charged. Danilo was very unpleasant to speak to. No one knew how to explain my bill.

Jen Y.

Yelp
DO NOT STAY HERE. My bed had a BED BUG INFESTATION and I woke up covered in BLOODY BED BUG BITES. Management was unresponsive and couldn't have cared less (in particular, Maria). I asked for a refund and was given nothing in return. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mina R.

Yelp
Beautiful property right on the beach and not too busy. Although the property was at Max capacity, never felt like too many people. Location is outstanding and walkable to some of the main attractions on Lincoln and on Ocean Boulevard The room was always attended to, and I had a beautiful ocean view and loved every bit of it. Can't wait to return. By the way Pascal - yoga instructor on Sundays is amazing. She has amazing energy and has a true gift to make you relaxed with a fantastic workout.

Julius D.

Yelp
I've heard of this place before, have even passed it a time or two while in Miami but having never stayed there, I kept my expectations open. It is a really nice hotel, you can tell they didn't really skimp in the decorating aspect, or the amenities. This of course directly correlates to how much you'll spend to stay there but overall, it is worth the expense. The wedding we were in Miami to attend was to take place at this hotel and since I was in it, my wife figured we should explore options for staying there. I think I'm like most people in that I just want somewhere comfortable to stay, but since my wife and I got together, I've learned to appreciate the finer things in life. I've no issues with chain hotels of a lesser bent, like Holiday Inn or Marriott, but my wife generally won't stay anywhere that has 'Inn' in the name, or is a large chain. What're you gonna do, right? So, I go along. BTW, I've never had cause to regret that moving forward. So we ended up staying in one of the Jr. Suites on the top floor; "junior" in that they are dwarfed by the honeymoon suite on the same floor which takes up a good bit of real estate, as it should. Our suite was nicely appointed, with a great city view with downtown Miami and the Bay as a backdrop. Facing east, we got some glorious sunrises- I'm assuming because we didn't wake up to view them! But who doesn't love a sunrise in the summer from a beach location? The layout of the room was well thought out; the "main" bathroom, complete with rainforest showerhead was separate from the "water closet/powder room" - so that if you need to use the toilet, you wouldn't have to kick anyone out using the shower or sink. Some people don't care about that sort of thing, but it is something I've gotten used to as my master bathroom is similar in setup, and it is a setup I have come to not only appreciate, but look for in lodging wherever we happen to be traveling to. We ordered breakfast via room service our first morning there and it was made to order and very decent - and naturally overpriced but you're paying for the convenience and I've no problem with that. Our room had a private sundeck/patio with a table and chairs, and a couple of chaise lounges- we ended up doing a fair bit of partying out there; my parents were in the other Jr. Suite just down the hall and their patio setup was identical, though there room was larger, which was great- everyone congregated over there so we were able to hold onto our relative solitude! We stayed for 4 luxurious days- it was almost like a mini-vacation/family gathering and we enjoyed every bit of it. We did not partake of all of the amenities; I know my wife wanted to do a spa day with our eldest daughter, also in attendance for the wedding but that never got realized. But they did enjoy the pool and the semi-private beach behind the hotel. This hotel is in North Beach, maybe a mile or so from the more popular South Beach, which we did end up spending some time in just to hang out. All in all, I'll definitely stay here again next time we're in Miami- wife's orders, it is now our home away from home whenever we plan to be in Miami.

Heather R.

Yelp
Amazing hotel right on the ocean. We visited last May and can't wait to come back. The staff were all very helpful and friendly.

Joseph S.

Yelp
I booked this resort through Costco travel and the hotel is actually updated. The customer service is great and the rooms are up to date. Unfortunately my spouse and I during our 5 day stay we begin to notice rashes and redness bumps on our body's. We thought maybe it was the climate and did not want to believe it was bed bugs at at such an esteemed resort. We informed front desk during check out and was given only 75 dollar discount off our final bill. I think they could of done better or at least let us know if the bed bugs were found. I would not return to the resort due to the response given to us for this inconvenience. I still have the rashes and I been two days home from vacation.

Amber G.

Yelp
Please avoid this hotel at all costs. We stayed for 6 days and it was painful. Hotel restaurant food is average and overpriced - service is terrible and there is automatic gratuity. Complaint submitted to Noemi the food manager. Valet is super slow, we were calling down to valet 20 min prior to our anticipated departure and they never had our car. TV did not work in our room. My husband and I had over 3 conversations with manager Maria during our stay. Staff is overall disrespectful and do not care about your stay. Why was security called on my husband prior to him walking downstairs to have a conversation with management about how terrible this place is? Racial profiling. Definitely will never be back. This place should be ashamed. Please read all negative reviews on Yelp before booking - there is a theme.

Kim B.

Yelp
Booked this hotel through a 3rd party as a package deal vacation. Totally worth it. First of all, it's North Miami beach so it's much calmer and a little more low key than South Beach. Check-in was pretty easy...we didn't get any guidance of the hotel and where everything is upon check-in but was able to get help from one of the employees and he was THE BEST. He literally walked us through the resort - it was so sweet. The room isn't huge, at all. But really, how much time do you plan to spend in the room? It's very contemporary, all touch screen phones and the elevator is touch screen! The food is good, we had at least 4-5 entree's and they were all SO GOOD. No complaints there. The drinks keep comin! The service was great, the drinks were great, the food was good....private beach access... The ONLY complaint is there's no balcony's or patios. I'd loved to be able to wakeup and go sit outside on a balcony and have coffee but that's not worth going to another hotel over.

Lane D.

Yelp
Other than the front desk staff (of one) during the 38 minute check in, the rest of the staff (beach and pool) was very friendly and helpful. The elevators were impossible, at first not letting us access our floor by the unnecessary touch screen and then both of them stopped working completely so we had a 7 flight climb. On our first day, we turned on the "Service" light for housekeeping at 9:30 am when we left the room. When we returned at 6:30 pm, the room had not been cleaned and I had to call the front desk twice (each time being put on hold immediately) and then go down to the front desk to complain and request that they clean the room. The room itself felt old. The hotel is overpriced in my opinion. I'm not opposed to the pricing, but what you get for it isn't worthwhile. Weddings and conventions. Not our thing. We won't stay here again.

Monika S.

Yelp
OMG! What a hidden gem! Let's start off with their kind and welcoming staff! Absolutely stunned by how well attentive they are! And decor is amazing. And wow their food anywhere you go is just crazy good. This hotel blew our minds. Will for sure go back when I'm staying in Miami Beach.

Jessica L.

Yelp
This resort was so great in many ways, but also left us less than satisfied in other categories. We love the Caribbean feel of the resort, the location was perfect, Maria and Genesis were incredible, the beach area with included chairs was wonderful. The disadvantages were the lack of hot tub, no music in the pool areas, most staff seemed bothered, wait times for food/drinks was long, food was mediocre, poor tile jobs in bathrooms, towel cards make no sense because there is not even a person there most of the time, asked for more blankets and they responded they didn't have any, fruit flies in the gift shop pastries. In general I would stay here again if it was a good deal, but their are some easy things they can do to elevate guest experiences.

Yelp
Terrible service- discrimination of a pregnant woman- Moses bad manager. McKenzie is the worst at the tiki bar - extremely rude. Ana front desk manager lied about our stay. Security guards very disrespectful and rude. Will never return again.

Yelp
This was mine and my husbands third time staying at The Palms Miami. We really feel like we found a hidden gem. This hotel makes you feel like you're in some hidden away paradise. Every single staff member goes above and beyond for the guests. The hotel and rooms are immaculate and the food and drinks are AMAZING!! The beach area is clean and feels so safe. We love the beach service. (Special shout out to Selena the beach waitress, she was awesome and very attentive!) We have noticed little changes and upgrades they have made to better the experience each time we visit. We missed Sunshine and Chance this time but heard they are doing well! We will continue to come back to this hotel every year. It's become a tradition that we hold close to our hearts.

Yelp
Check in process.... Amazing!! You can do pre-check in and utilize the hotels amenities while you wait for your room to be available if you're early. Ms. Laremise, the housekeeper in charge of keeping the main lobby restroom clean is sooooo sweet. She just makes me smile every time I see her. She is truly a joy!! When I tell you she provides EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE WITH A SMILE, It doesn't get any better than this. Your entire stay Ms. L makes you feel like family always ready to make your day with her beautiful smile, warmth and kindness. I am truly going to miss Ms. L. Carlos (Brazil) will safely store your belongings for you as you wait for your room to be ready... not only that. He goes above and beyond by letting you know where to locate everything in the rooms like the mini fridge and safe. ...and he also lets you know about the restaurant on site as well as the time amenities are available. He is very knowledgeable!! Carlos is the ABSOLUTE BEST , My husband and I was truly impressed!!! I'm truly going to miss this AMAZING TEAM!! I cannot leave out all the amazing personel. I can't remember all of their names but honestly they are all soooo super amazing. Both the pool server Yaniel and the beach servers are awesome. They kept the drinks and food coming. Yaniel is a SUPERSTAR!!! Superior Oceanfront King.... (812) °Daily Housekeeping °Rooms have door bell and do not disturb button ° Toilet is in separate room from shower ° Sink attached to toilet runs even after done washing hands ° No balcony ° Ceiling had visible water damage... needs sanding and painting ° bed sheets were worn (clean but worn) ° Ceiling fan in room had visible dust ° Lights controlled by one switch... light switches are plentiful ° Great views of pool and ocean ° TV takes a long time to come on maybe 5-8 mins ° They do have room service. Tiki Bar Food: ° Wings were flavorful... even though they looked hard they were a little soggy when you bit into it. But it was really good... just ask for well done and they will be perfect ° Guac and Salsa... says it comes with blue tortilla chips. I received regular tortillas that tasted a little stale. Was disappointed by this ° Fish tacos were bland.... but those sweet potatoes fries, babbbb-bE!!! DELISH!! °Truffle Fries... OMGGGGGGGG you gotta order these... they are sooo Amazing. Some of the best I've had. °Drink: Sex on the beach... not good, would never ask for that again. Taste like lime water with a splash of something... stick to the menu of frozen drinks... they pour a shot on top. On-site Restaurant... (see my review for Essensia.) Ask for Leo from Puerto Rico he is the absolute best and ALWAYS DELIVERS SERVICE WITH A SMILE!! Other Comments... The pool supposed to close at 8pm... My husband and I took a late night stroll on the beach (Saturday evening), came back and about midnight the pool was PACKED... Music playing loudly... The peaceful oasis that we've grown to enjoy the last few days has been turned into club palms... smh. It didn't bother me, but I can see how the vibe is different during the week vs the weekend. Not to mention, if you act out at the pool, talking loud, making a scene, security will come out. Saturday afternoon was the first day we saw security in action, but nice to know their there. Even though some of the comments here can be viewed as negative... its truly not, just areas of opportunities. The Palms Resort and Spa Miami deserves 10 Stars, because the Love from the Staff and Exceptional Customer Service surpasses any area of opportunities seen here.

Yelp
The receptionist was so terrible, named Natassia, that we couldn't believe she was allowed to talk to customers. Rude from the beginning and when asked a question she ignored us and started talking on the phone! The assistant manager had to step in and help us while she continued to ignore us and talking on the phone. I can't believe they let people like that be in the hospitality business... But apart from that, the hotel is wonderful! The flow, the flowers, the food and drinks and thoughtfulness they have put into everything else was fantastic! The massage therapist was also amazing! Will definitely be back! The personnel by the pool and at the beach are really well trained and add a lot to the great experience!

Yelp
The Palms Hotel & Spa is a decent hotel in the Miami Beach area. The location is a little further north from where the "scene" and the restaurants are. The facilities are pretty average. However, the biggest attraction is the pool, the direct beach access, and the excellent towel service.

Yelp
Do not stay here! Probably thee worst hotel I've ever stayed in. From the first day to the last. We stayed 6 nights in this hotel and nothing was like we expected. I'm a stay at home mom of 2 while my husband has a full time job . I already have to clean after everyone and do it all when I'm not on vacation . Only just having to do it all at this hotel. The crib was not in the room when I arrived (I made sure a week before my arrival to have that situated) so my son had no crib until the next morning . Had a sleepless night in bed with me because he's used to a crib. The room was not cleaned or sheets were not changed when we requested. I asked for one of the bed to be made and she refused to fix the other bed because she said she already fixed one of them?!?! I mean what?!?! Wish I recorded it. I'm still In shock! We asked for a refrigerator and they had to bring 3 different ones up because none were working correctly or looked like they came out of a dumpster. The last night my daughter woke up with 3 red bites on her legs that look like bug bites!! I'm not the one to complain at all but I'm just so furious. The palms hotel is all over the world to think that they would be more on top of it all and some. But I feel like I would've had a better stay at a motel then here . So upsetting and more upsetting that this was our first family trip in such a horrible hotel with horrible service. The only ones that were some what of a help were Ana and the valet people. Other then that no one else. Such a shame. More upsetting that I spent so much money on this hotel. I can say so much more but I think I said enough for now.

Yelp
Front desk was very helpful. Rooms clean. Saturday the closed pool in the middle of the day for cleaning which was frustrating. Bar staff at pool very good. Bar staff in hotel was not so good. Restaurants bagels and lox gets two thumbs up. We attended a wedding venue with outside seating in Sept it was a little hot but I bet wedding pictures from the beach will be beautiful.

Yelp
I wish there were half stars as this is probably more like 4.5 stars! Service is phenomenal. Lots of friendly staff. Room was clean. Housekeeping plus turndown every day. Pool and courtyard nice. Beach access amazing. No need to rent any cabanas as beach has plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas. Staff will put up umbrellas for you. Only negatives would be weird bathroom in room. (There is a separate toilet closet (or poop closet as we referred to it) intended to save water with small sink.) Idea is to save water (which I love) but execution is a little awkward. By a couple days in however I got used to it. Light switches in rooms are a bit finicky. Overall though...great hotel for price. (I'd call this an upper middle class hotel.)

Yelp
I truly enjoyed my stay at the Palms Hotel. My favorite part of the hotel had to be their lush tropical foliage grounds. So tranquil and perfect for a day away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Front desk check in staff are so nice and welcoming. The a/c in our room was a little loud and would keep turning of and on , other than that everything was perfect. I recommend The Palms for a little relaxing get away.

Yelp
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay here. The hotel lobby is beautiful and welcoming. Our room was not ready when we arrived but the staff allowed us to store our luggage to enjoy all the amenities including the pool, restaurant/bar and beach. Everything was perfect during our stay. We felt very comfortable in our room. I also enjoyed the location as it is close to the south beach party scene but far enough where you can enjoy the peace and quiet at night. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Yelp
The hotel is nice & the view is incredible. We found the breakfast staff fabulous, Alberto was the best! Two things that were frustrating is first the elevator. It's so bad I just used the stairs each day. For whatever reason it takes about five minutes to catch an elevator. Secondly, there are two parrots on the pool deck that are stressed beyond words and having to walk by them each day was upsetting. These birds should be sent to a sanctuary & would actually be more in line with your green footprint which was impressive!

Yelp
Loved this place. Rooms were small, but ocean view and my kids loved this hotel.
