The Pantry On Main - Review - Tannersville - The Catskills - The Infatuation

"The Pantry On Main is a great breakfast or lunch option in Tannersville. Swing by for a skillet of shredded pork belly and eggs, or some bread pudding french toast. You’ll get an order number that you can take to a table or, better yet, one of the chairs near the fire—service is quick, but allow for a bit of extra time on the weekends. You could always use this spot for a quick provisions stop, too. If the lasagna soup is in one of the refrigerated cases, get it." - Tiffany Yannetta

We stopped by with our dogs and got a table outdoors, which was really nice. The overall vibe was great, and the food was decent. The ordering system was a little annoying since you have to order at the line first, but the servers bring your food afterward. The only downside was one waitress who brought our drinks—she wasn’t exactly rude, but she more or less tossed them onto the table, which didn’t feel very welcoming. Other than that, it was a fine experience.

Menu was perfection. Sweet and savory options for every palate. Our kids loved the pancakes and bacon. Games were an added bonus. We played table Jenga while waiting. Mimosas were another added bonus. Would definitely return

Google
Low key casual place but so homey and breakfast was fantastic… large room and not a long wait even during July 4th weekend Sunday. There are games on side to play but wait for food was super fast… definitely coming back

This was a great spot to have lunch after a hike. The food was good and it was perfect sitting by one of the large windows. There's also lots of outdoor seating

The Turkish eggs and dressed-up toast were spectacular. Both were well presented and each bite was flavorful. 10/10 breakfast/brunch

Lovely restaurant, good food and coffee, very good looking interiors plus seating space outside. Range of options for food. Good service and overall great vibes. Lot of locals were coming to the place so i guess quite famous in Tannersville village!!

We stopped by Pantry on Main for lunch one day, and it turned out to be such a lovely experience. The food was freshly prepared, flavorful, and felt like true comfort food. The place wasn’t busy, so we were able to sit wherever we liked and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. We loved the lunch so much that we decided to come back the very next day for breakfast. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because our server took the wrong order, and despite asking for no meat, each dish came out with meat in it. Mistakes happen, but it was a bit disappointing given how great everything else was. Overall, Pantry on Main is a charming spot with delicious food and a warm, inviting vibe. We’ll definitely be back again!

Yelp
Awesome service, good food and casual ambience. You order at the counter and the food is served at your table. There is ample parking in a private lot in front of the restaurant as well as street parking. Their pancakes and omelettes were fluffy and soft.

Yelp
A nice open style seating breakfast spot. Order at the counter and then they bring it out to you. Fast service and everyone was very friendly. I got the egg sandwich ($7) with two eggs, American, cheese, and ham (+$2) and got 2 pancakes ($10.50). The egg sandwich was delicious. Good amount of cheese and ham on a soft brioche bun. The pancakes were a bit small for $10.50 and they were average. Good fluff. Overall 7.09 / 10

Yelp
Chill atmosphere and perfect for brunch. I ordered a simple eggs any style and toast with some home fries and was not disappointed. The staff were friendly as well!

Yelp
Everything we had was fabulous. In our group we had the breakfast burrito, bagel with salmon and avocado toast. We enjoyed everything! The aoli sauce on the avocado toast was like nothing I've ever tasted in the best way. I had to compliment the chef as I was blown away by the tastes. I don't like beans but this had a white bean that when eaten with everything on the toast was heavenly. Even my side order of bacon was perfect, as I usually have to ask for bacon to be cooked thoroughly. But here I forgot to ask and it came out cooked through and delicious. My friend had the burrito and she absolutely loved it. If you are in the Catskills, make this stop in Tannersville.

Yelp
I didn't know what to expect from this place. It's a place in a small town in the Catskills that is a market but you can also order food at the counter and they'll bring it to your table. I think there's also a deli counter too. When I came, I was invited with no idea and no expectations. I had driven two hours to visit relatives and drove into maybe the smallest town I've ever been to (no wait, that's not true, Sharon Springs, NY is). Anyhoo, when I got there and saw the place, I was expecting Panera-like food. I tried the shrimp bahn mi, chicken salad sandwich and butternut squash/parsnip soup. All sounds pretty simple, right? Well, people, none of the flavors were simple. All of these foods were amazing with flavor. Did the chef train in a Michelin star restaurant? Or at the CIA? I'm not being facetious. Super high quality food and flavors. I couldn't believe it. The feel of the Market is very homey and comfortable and everyone was very kind. Also, bonus, the bathrooms were nice and clean (but a little cold). All-in-all, I'm super impressed with this place. Superb food. If you're in the area, definitely go here.

Yelp
Cute place with really great service. The sandwich was stuffed with chicken salad which was prepared just right, and the bread pudding French toast was yummy, but a little dense. Clean place and spacious. We really enjoyed our meal and would return when in the area.

Yelp
Turkish eggs, cheeseburger were both delicious. Great latttes and the ambiance was cozy. Definitely recommend for brunch/lunch in Hunter after a long day of skiing.

Yelp
I'm very impressed by how many gluten free options were available! I ordered gluten free blueberry pancakes but they also have gluten free bread and can make many items on their menu using the gluten free bread. They offer large portions too. Very tasty

Yelp
This place has become my go-to spot for lunch. The Turkey Panini here is just amazing--crispy, flavorful, and always made just right. It's the kind of comfort food that you look forward to all day. I also have to mention the Matcha Latte. It's the only place in town that has one, and they make it perfectly every time. Smooth, rich, and just what I need to get through the day. The people here are great, too--always welcoming and friendly. As a local, it's nice to have a place that feels like a second home. I really love this spot and can't recommend it enough if you're in the area.

Yelp
My family had the most delicious lunch from The Pantry on Main today! We had the special of the day, Chicken fried Steak, the chicken sandwich, the Falafel and a grilled cheese. Everything was so delicious. My falafel was on par with one I had in Jerusalem, Israel a few years ago! Props to the creator of that one! Most importantly, the Host did an amazing job making sure my daughter's gluten free lunch was Celiac-safe for her--we even heard the kitchen staff going over it. SO impressive. Such lovely customer service. We had take-out today, but we look forward to eating in next time. Kudos!

Yelp
I got the dirty chai which was good, but the french toast was old and and tooo sweet, it was soggy. It didn't taste fresh and the strawberries were old also

Yelp
This is the best breakfast and lunch spot on the mountain hands down. There aren't many options, but we're lucky this is one of them! Overall super affordably priced for what you get. My favorites are: the egg sangy with house made sausage, the Turkish eggs, the falafel sandwich and the turkey Reuben. Highly recommend!

Yelp
The food is amazing, never had anything that I did not love! The choices are more than enough to satisfy everyone. The service is beyond excellent, very friendly staff and the owners are the greatest! When you walk in it is like you are having a home cooked meal at a friends house. If you want a great meal at a very reasonable price this is the best place on the mountaintop!

Yelp
The place looks nice and the staff is friendly. It was busy, probably due to the lack of choices in the area. I picked up a couple of egg sandwiches to-go for my son and me. Eggs, sausage and cheese on a hard roll. It was inedible. The cheese was bitter and the sausage tasted like it was loaded with sugar. The roll wasn't what I would call a hard roll, more like a hamburger bun. This was the worst egg sandwich I've ever had, by a long shot. My son agrees. The only reason I'm not giving them 1 star is because I haven't tried any of their other food. While I was waiting for my order, I noticed lots of food left behind on people's plates when they left.

Yelp
The food here is consistently good. Not only does it taste delicious, the look and presentation is so well-pleasing to the eyes. Keep up the good work Terrence and Amy.

Yelp
Great sandwiches- so flavorful on perfect baguettes. Lunch was so good, we had to come back for breakfast the next day. Staff was very friendly, family owned and run. Very large space, felt comfortable with decor and games for kids to play while hanging out. I would come back to the area just to eat here.

Yelp
I was walking around Tannersville looking for breakfast after dropping my son off at Hunter Mountain. This was the only place open at nine. I was not expecting a chef curated culinary experience! I ordered the Turkish eggs and it was like nothing I'd had before, really lovely. There's a full coffee bar with a fireplace and comfy couches, and a deli with yummy looking prepared foods. They serve beer and wine for your apres ski, and had a couple gluten-free options on the menu as well as a number of charcuterie board type things to buy. A recommended stop if you're in the neighborhood or passing through.

Yelp
What a great find! This place definitely did not exist when I was last here. My husband and I stopped in for lunch after a four mile hike and had lunch. We wanted something a bit more casual since we were pressed for time. I ordered the turkey sandwich and he ordered the falafel. Our lunch was delicious! What great food! It's a large space with a great menu and even a cozy little fireplace with sofa and chairs. So happy we found this place!
