The Park Bar & Grill

I stumbled upon this place and decided to stop in. The drinks, catfish and Mac and cheese did not disappoint. However, the cornbread was HARD and burnt, and frost bitten. I would prefer fresh cornbread. I think going forward they should make sure that items like cornbread are baked fresh daily. Otherwise, very nice spot but, the cornbread left me in disbelief.

I had a birthday party in their newly renovated event space with over 60 guests. We had a BLAST!!! The food, drinks and service were impeccable. The room was bright and spacious. My guests raved about the delicious food. I didn’t even get to taste some dishes lol. The space was large enough to house my DJ, a photo station, gift and candy tables plus plenty of seating for guests to sit and eat and a dance area. I have recommended this venue and would certainly return.

The Park Bar and Grill is a whole vibe. I’m from Dallas and was in town on my weekly work visit. Me and my guest came in late after the kitchen had already closed, and they still offered us the late-night menu. Then, instead of just stopping there, they asked if we wanted something from the regular menu — and actually let us try it. That’s hospitality on another level. I love supporting Black-owned businesses, but I’ll be honest… sometimes the service side isn’t as much of a priority. This place was different. They took pride in how they treated us from the moment we walked in — warm, welcoming, and genuinely happy we were there. The food was exceptional, the drinks were on point, and the music set the perfect mood. It’s the kind of spot you come for the good vibes, stay for the great people, and keep coming back for that rare mix of flavor and service you don’t forget. We will be back.

Nice spot for a date or meeting girlfriends. Location was clean. We were able to get the happy hour special which was long Island iced teas. The drink was really good. We all enjoyed the food except the wings. My friend that ordered it said something was off on the taste. But she ordered the spicy shrimp and poured the sauce from that on the wings. The shrimp was the bomb. Very spicy but really good taste. The cajun pasta was really good and my friends enjoyed the salmon, rice and spinach. Definitely a place to check out.

Wonderful experience overall. Our server Meka was excellent: attentive, offered recommendations and had great energy. The cocktails were excellent and offered a nice variety to choose from. The shrimp were the highlight for sure! I will be sure to bring a bigger appetite next visit.

The ambiance is nice, but the service has a lot to be desired. Not sure if they just weren’t anticipating the crowd, but they gotta do better. We’ve been waiting well over an hour for our food. Meanwhile, the owners are sitting back doing nothing. SMH!

The ambiance was nice. It is a decent size, however, it was very crowded and tight. We were seated maybe 2 feet from other diners, having people on both sides. I was very disappointed there. The service was also slow. We were seated on time for our reservation which was a huge plus. The staff was very nice. They could have been short staffed as our server had several tables. She also seemed a bit inexperienced so we definitely did our best to be patient. The food was good. The lobster bisque was fantastic. The calamari was also good. My family enjoyed the wings, and said they were very good. I ordered the lamb chops entree. Presentation was awesome. I ordered medium temp and received well done. My mom's steak was ordered medium well and received well and dry. It was her birthday so we insisted she send it back to not ruin her experience. I kept mine but did let them know they were not cooked as ordered and dry. The flavor was good and I would've easily enjoyed had they been cooked properly. The band was very entertaining and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We'll be back however, I'll likely visit on a Thursday vs Saturday.

The food is good, not very hot, but good. I had to request garnishment and they brought out just gravy. Good DJ. The service is always slow and they are usually out of a main dish like shrimp or salmon. Their bottomless IS NOT BOTTOM LESS! Two people one bottle and only two refills if you buy individually. Do not go here looking for Bottomless. Ascione Bistro in Hyde Park $18 bottomless!
