"Situated next to Liberty Park, this neighborhood spot serves homestyle breakfast and lunch in a small but inviting space, whether you grab a seat at the diner-style counter or opt for a table with friends. The Park Café’s crowd is eclectic, from groups of 20-somethings nursing hangovers, to Real Salt Lake players, to hip parents with toddlers who can already ski better than you. The service here is fast and attentive, partly to turn over tables beneath the crush of busy crowds and weekend lines. Notable dishes include the biscuits and gravy as well as the breakfast platter known as French Toast Foolishness, but be sure to check out the whiteboard for daily specials (look out for the huevos rancheros topped with pork chile verde goodness). If you want to order like a local, complete your meal with a chai latte and add cheese to your grilled park potatoes, a side on many of the dishes." - Sarah Entwistle

Google
A popular local spot, yet they know how to manage their tables and not make you wait. This is your standard American diner that utilizes modern aesthetics while respecting the cuisine that defines the genre. Food was tasty with cleaner execution than your small town grease spoon diner, which I appreciated. Price point not too shabby either considering the quality and popularity. Potatoes were done in the way your grandma does them with less grease. To my surprise as well, when I got rye toast, it was an actually good rye rather than cheap white bread with a hint of rye like many diners serve.

Google
Food was good, not great, but good. We have been wanting to try this place for a while and they always had super long wait times on the weekends, so I was expecting the food to be somewhat desirable. Great service, and love that it is across the street from livery park. Food was just not great. (We got the pancake sandwich and the chili verde breakfast burrito) We also loved the dog friendly patio and they brought my pup a big dog treat and some water which was very nice. 10/10 service!!

Google
Love the breakfast, my favorite plate is the two pork chops, with hash browns and eggs. Wonderful environment, friendly staff, fast service, very well priced. Definitely my new go to spot for a guaranteed great breakfast!

Google
We had an incredible brunch here on Sunday! Great live music. It was a hot day and there were misters to help us cool down. It was a long wait (the place was very busy), but so worth it! Huevos rancheros were very yum. I got extra green sauce. Everyone in my party got different food items and everyone enjoyed their meals. Thank you!

Google
Been coming here for years and not much has changed. Delicious double play with a side of French toast. Located across Liberty Park on 13th south this diner delivers no frill breakfast and brunch. It can be a bit chaotic inside but it didn’t seem to bother the multiple families and couples from getting their brunch on. Arrive early as there is often a wait but it is well worth it!

Google
I absolutely loved this Cafe. Ate here solo on a Sunday early morning, was sat right away and food came out just as fast. Delicious coffee, smooth and strong. I had a bacon, mushroom Omlette with a side of fruit which I devoured. If I'm back in the area I'd definitely come again.

Google
Amazing food, amazing prices. Some of the best French toast I’ve had in a long time, and the combined bill for two was $23.00. Would recommend to everyone, will be returning .

Google
I want to like everything about this place. Please note this was Mother's Day so the place is packed. 45 min wait was 1 hr. The good, portions, are large; the pancakes, and bacon are well done. I had the burrito, bland, nothing special, my wife had the omelet she enjoyed and my daughter had the pancake sandwich, but everything was on the side.

Maddy S.

Yelp
Cozy, chaos. I don't know another way to describe this place. It was hoppin' around 9am. We heard this was a busy place for good reason. We were seated, read the specials, had our orders taken, food delivered, drinks refilled, bill dropped off, bill taken, and plates cleared by no less than 6 different people. And it was flawless! I have no idea how they stay so organized! And everyone was extremely nice and welcoming! The food came quickly with generous portions, and it was all delicious! Highly recommended!

Yelp
The Park Café is a great spot for breakfast and brunch! The food is classic diner quality--simple but tasty, with generous portions. The Park Café offers a classic diner experience with a few thoughtful touches. The food is what you'd expect from a quality diner--hearty, comforting, and no-frills. From fluffy pancakes to savory breakfast burritos, the menu covers all the breakfast essentials, and the portions will leave you satisfied. What really elevates this place is the service. Even when it's busy, the staff goes out of their way to be attentive, friendly, and quick. You can tell they genuinely care about making sure everyone has a good experience, which makes waiting for a table much easier to bear. Speaking of the wait, weekends can be quite packed, and the space inside is fairly tight. It's a bit of a squeeze between tables, and you'll probably have to wait for a seat during peak times. However, they offer free coffee to enjoy while you wait, which is a thoughtful touch. The café is located at the foot of Liberty Park, so you can take your coffee and enjoy a peaceful stroll through the park while you wait for your table. Overall, The Park Café delivers on food, service, and atmosphere. It's not the fanciest place, but if you're looking for a solid diner breakfast in a welcoming environment, this is a great choice. Just be prepared for a bit of a wait on weekends!

Yelp
The Park Cafe was the pick for a Thursday lunch. At arrival, the outdoor seating was completely full and the inside had a lot of people as well. Luckily, for a party of 2, we went able to get seated right away. Despite them being busy, the staff were pretty attentive. The table did feel a bit cramped, as the seat was right next to the wall. There were also a lot of sauce bottles that took up a lot of space from the table. Once plates and water arrived, the table felt small. For my order, I got the B's and G's. The gravy wasn't super salty, while the biscuits were dry, so it did balance each other well. Eggs were cooked exactly how I wanted. The sausage was good, but the pork potatoes were a bit bland. Overall, the food was decent and in good quantity. Definitely worth the price! Note: American Express is accepted.

Cole D.

Yelp
Had a terrific breakfast here. Lots of good food for a good price. Simple establishment, it's a spot for a good homemade quality breakfast. Reminds me of Sunshine Cafe in Bountiful. Got the FTF French toast and Michigan Hash (with bacon substitute). It was all really tasty. But I recommend doing Michigan hash and then 3 pieces of French toast, you already get a lot of hash browns with the Hash. Do that for two people and you are set! Friendly service. Quaint and tight knit place. Love the complimentary salt water taffy at the exit.

Ileana C.

Yelp
Good food, great service and clean. Service was quick and would recommend for breakfast.

Susanna J.

Yelp
What a fun little gem! We wanted a mom and pop breakfast joint on the way to the airport to fly back to Texas, and this place was amazing. He had huevos Mexicanos, I had the eggs Benedict special. Delicious. Amazing service. We got here at 7:05am on a Tuesday and it's already filling up. Super cute inside too - they are Utes and Star Wars fans, and I'm here for it.

Daisy R.

Yelp
Came here again for a fun Labor Day breakfast with my husband! I had hot green tea, French toast and a side of fruit. French toast was absolutely amazing!! Might be the best I've had!! Alternated between syrup and the raspberry jam on the table, both were delicious! My husband got coffee, pancakes and a side of breakfast potatoes. Delicious food!! Great service and fun vibe! Need to come more often!!

Yesenia A.

Yelp
Food and service were great. The location is a bit tight considering it's in a residential area and across from a major park, but definitely worth to check out. Upon arrival, seating seemed limited in patio but was able to get seating for 7 hungry people right away. Hostess was friendly and able to accommodate large party. Food portions were adequate and tasted fresh. I believe I ordered the roadway breakfast with toast and they served the best coffee I've had. The table has two jams but the raspberry was my favorite.

Bekah C.

Yelp
Starting the morning with breakfast at The Park Cafe and then a walk around Liberty Park is one of my favorite summertime activities. I should probably branch out but I cannot get enough of the French Toast Foolishness. It always hits the spot! The Park Cafe staff is really what keeps me coming back. They're always genuinely friendly, positive, and happy to help.

Nathaniel G.

Yelp
Ordered the grilled cheese and tomato soup, my son's first impression was 9/10. He is not used to having fresh tomato soup. I ate the Shooters Sandwich, tastes perfect, just as I ordered. Loved the service the checked to be certain my needs were fulfilled and even willing to help with thoughts for the order. Great price for size of meal and all fresh food. I would like to add they have a homemade jam needed trying as well

Jacqueline C.

Yelp
Had an amazing first experience at the park cafe. The reviews truly speak for themselves!! We went on a Sunday morning around 11 and there was a little bit of a wait. The cafe itself was a bit small, so it was understandable that there is limited space. Absolutely worth the wait though! The cafe is super cute inside and all of the staff were friendly, helpful, and hustling! My boyfriend and I both ordered the French toast foolishness and oh my god it was incredible!!! Perfect breakfast and such great value. The French toast came with eggs, bacon, and potatoes. The food came out quickly and everything was amazing. About the noise level, yes it is a bit loud. However, what do you expect from a place that is bustling with people enjoying themselves and great food! Definitely worth the trip!!

Jeff C.

Yelp
Affordable and tasty diner across the road from Liberty Park that is open for breakfast and lunch only. It's local, it's loud, and it's very tasty. If you're a fan of traditional breakfast items and want a beautiful view of the park or to sit outside, this is your jam. Our server Reanne was friendly and helpful, delivering great service.

Lily F.

Yelp
Went here for Sunday brunch. First things first the pricing here is great! I ordered the pancake sandwich (bacon and eggs between two pancakes) and I was underwhelmed. The bacon was extra crispy (too crispy), the scrambled eggs were good, all together it was difficult to eat the pancake sandwich, though.. the bacon, it was just too crispy for how thick it was. Be prepared for a wait- this place is very popular!! We waited about an hour but once seated, the food came out quickly and the servers were so attentive.

Bradey T.

Yelp
My fave breakfast spot when I get into town. Let's talk Michigan hash! Are you kiddin! They know how to move people in from the line, seat you, feed you and gone! It's a fun college ambiance of local sports and happy patrons!

Kyle S.

Yelp
Small cafe near a beautiful park. It gets quite busy so be prepared to wait. It's very crowded inside as the tables are close together and very minimal walking room. The food came out quick and was your standard breakfast fare. They do have gluten free pancakes which are a plus.

Melissa S.

Yelp
Went for breakfast on a Saturday morning during peak time. The location is right in the middle of a quaint neighborhood, but it was easy to find street parking. We were able to get seated right away indoors and it looked like they had a nice outdoor patio seating area. The customer service was super quick and friendly! Had the French toast foolishness and some friends tried some of the other menu items. All of us were happy with our food and the service, prices were pretty reasonable too.

T. H.

Yelp
If it wasn't for the service this would have gotten zero stars.. Nothing had any flavor... I enjoy flavor town but this wasn't it and won't be bacc..

Heliana M.

Yelp
We were at liberty park during Christmas week and decided to grab a quick lunch here. There was no wait for our big group of 5 adults and 3 kids so woohoo! This place is best known for their omelets, beyond that is just your average and pretty ok decent food. My hubby had the omelet a d was indeed very pleased with it. I went for the biscuits and gravy and wouldn't recommend that. They felt more like rolls than the nice crispy biscuit - sad me! Their hashbrowns plate looked great. Too much food so come hungry or prepare to share or pack food to go! Most likely wouldn't return...

Rich B.

Yelp
Excellent local joint ! I am from out of town and search this place out for breakfast.. excellent food big portions , great staff , friendly, all pitch in helpfully ! Side pancake was delicious! Hot coffee! Loud place .. so don't plan a meeting ha

Jason M.

Yelp
Food great! Way too noisy and felt very rushed through. Usually a wait outside with no place to sit , let alone to park. Noise and parking experience ruined it for us.

Phuong Dung N.

Yelp
Really good food and great service. The place was packed when we visited but we didnt have to wait for too long. Staff was super nice and efficient. We got our food promptly after ordering. Food was awesome. Loved their bacon! The portion was also filling. Great place to hang out with friends and family!

Tony R.

Yelp
This is my favorite cafe in SLC! the service as good as it gets and the food is amazing. Ciro and Shawn and the staff are fantastic humans and if you go once, you'll be there twice ++++++. :).

STEVE B.

Yelp
Fast paced, super energetic and cool atmosphere. Eggs Benedict was awesome. Great stop.

Chelsea P.

Yelp
Our last meal in SLC before heading to the airport. My husband got the French toast and loved it. I got hash browns, eggs and bacon. Perfectly fine. In my opinion, I prefer crispier hash browns. This was a typical breakfast meal though. Servers were really nice. And service was quick and efficient. We sat outside and it was a nice, cooler morning. The wind was blowing like crazy but the patio stayed safe. Perfect place is you need a simple breakfast. Didn't stick around for lunch so can't speak to that. Seemed like a lot of people liked it. Parking is only a few spots but you can also park on the street. There is a nice park across the street too. So you could go for a walk before or after. Menu had a nice variety of items for breakfast so you can please every

Mark M.

Yelp
Really good food. Very friendly staff and tasty. Parking was not as easy as I hoped as the restaurant is across from a busy park. Their potatoes are to die for.

Chris B.

Yelp
Cool spot for breakfast across from the beautiful park. The service was fast and friendly. The food was ok nothing great nothing terrible. I ordered an omelette with cheese and ham. I was disappointed that the ham was not mixed into the eggs like an omelette should be. Instead it was dumped inside a folded over egg. Still taste ok but just not what I was expecting.

Mary P.

Yelp
The food here was BEYOND incredible and the serving size more generous than you can imagine. The service was top notch- everyone so friendly and the ambiance was relaxed and fun. A great find for my husband and I on our visit last month. Would HIGHLY suggest a meal (or 2) here! Thank you Park Cafe!

Kayla L.

Yelp
I recently came here for the first time and I'm OBSESSED. It's quite small which means it can be a little louder and feel a little squished but the food is SO WORTH IT! The decorations range from sports to Star Wars and it's pretty fun to look around! We got seated quick and our food was out even quicker! The prices were lower than I would expect and the quality of food is much higher than I expected! Do yourself a favor and get a pancake- put the jam on it and top it with syrup too. (I promise this is the best way to eat a pancake) everything I tried was so yummy and I can hardly wait to go back to SLC every month to come back again and again.

Joe N.

Yelp
Awesome place to get breakfast/ Brunch, catch up with friends, have a lil day date. They almost always look busy because it's one of the best places to eat breakfast in SLC. My wife and I have been here multiple times. Never had a bad experience. Don't be scared of the crowds when you drive by-- they will get you in quick. You can even wait under a heated tent and enjoy a cup of coffee while you wait. The only downside is the parking-- mainly street parking and it's located up against a neighborhood so that parking is on residential. And it's pretty much a lil house turned into a restaurant so you can guess it's cramped quarters inside. They make it work tho--but not exactly intimate, sometimes hard to hear your conversation. My wife and I think it's funny we have been here lots of times but have never eaten lunch items. So we can surely say, definitely recommend this place for breakfast! Nice decor inside too -- some Star Wars references. One more epic plus: still great ,affordable prices and the amount and quality of the food has never changed thru the years!

Vicki L.

Yelp
Tasty breakfast potatoes. Friendly staff - very accommodating. Nice outdoor seating options. Skip the biscuits. Limited healthy and fresh or house made options.

Scott S.

Yelp
Absolutely delicious food, reasonable prices, and kind attentive service. Really a delightful place for breakfast. Lovely staff and owner. All you could possibly want in a true neighborhood vibe for breakfast. If you're going down the road feeling bad and don't want to be treated this way truck on over to The Park Cafe for the best brekkie in Salt Lake. A+++++.

Marcus B.

Yelp
Came in a large group and sat outside. It was a pretty cool day but they had a fireplace and several gas heaters that kept us warm. Our waitress, Tatiana, was very nice. Our food came out incredibly quick, we did not expect service that fast for that large of a group. I enjoyed my meal. I turned my FTF meal into a French Toast sandwich since my friends had the pancake sandwich. I personally didn't like the park potatoes that came with the meal but the other items were great. The food quality was good.

Katie W.

Yelp
This place is truly amazing! I went here for the first time today, and the food was spectacular! My boyfriend got the corned beef and hash with eggs and rye bread. They put legit corned beef strips in the meal (not ground up corned beef)! It was flavorful and crave-able. He almost finished the whole thing! We got French toast to share, and it was perfect--not dry and not soggy--absolutely perfect. You can also order it with strawberries and bananas, which we plan to do next time. I got Wednesday's special: country fried chicken and egg with park potatoes and toast of your choice--I chose sourdough bread. This was the best country fried chicken I've ever had! The chicken was moist and bursting with flavor. The batter was delicious and the gravy was mellow yet flavorful. The potatoes were wonderful and had onions mixed in! The service was incredible! It seemed like all severs share all tables, so we had multiple servers fill out drinks, take our order, bring out our food, bring us our check, etc. They were all friendly and attentive. The ambiance is like a small park cafe--small, intimate tables that can be pushed together for large parties. It is dog friendly, and there is outdoor seating that allows dogs! I will be sure to come here again with my dogs! Notice: this place is super popular and across the street from Liberty Park, so if you arrive toward the lunch hour, you will wait for a table. My boyfriend and I arrived around 8:30am, and we were able to find a table immediately. Parking is limited, so we ended up parking in the park across the street.

Brooke S.

Yelp
They lie and say free coffee while you wait then charge you 5$ for coffee while you wait lol. They also have horrible service but at lease the food is decent.

Haleida P.

Yelp
The service was fast and so friendly. They recommend their most popular breakfast dish, and it was delicious. Everything was fresh, and hot. Best of all, I woke up late, but I still wanted to have breakfast. The Park Cafe serves breakfast until 2:00pm! Highly recommend!

debi k.

Yelp
Haven't been back to Park Cafe in a few YEARS! But not much has changed .... Which is a good thing! Perfect for brunch especially on a weekday- they are still very busy and you might even have to wait a bit for a table .... But once you get seated it's full speed ahead - you get menu and place setting and drink order taken. They quickly return with your drink order and ready to take your food order!!!! Check the board by the front door for the daily specials Huevos Mexicana - so good - ordered the eggs easy over! Very filling - the perfect breakfast Odelay omelet- bell peppers - mushrooms- onions - sausage - salsa - and cheese! Perfect combination and so good with park potatoes ordered extra crispy! The inside tables are well arranged but the noise level loud especially if it's a busy day - lots of service help so food comes out quickly and hot! People are very nice and service fast!

Tiffani L.

Yelp
We stayed the night here in Salt Lake City on our way to Wyoming and we needed breakfast. After reading reviews for a couple places we decided on this one. It did NOT disappoint. It was a Monday morning and busy which surprised me but that means it's good! I ordered the ham and cheese omelette with potatoes and toast, their potatoes were different than normal but sooo good! My husband ordered the French toast came with eggs and potatoes. There wasn't anything left on the plate. The French toast was the best I've had in a long time! The staff were very friendly and attentive filling waters and coffee. If you want a good hearty breakfast definitely stop here!!

Justine M.

Yelp
Great views of liberty park, was packed is this place isn't a secret. Huge portions I'd really decent food. Their enclosed outdoor seating area is dog friendly and they bring out treats for your doggo. The seating was a little cramped but once I got all settled in, I felt extra cozy and warm. I don't know if I'd go again, but it's worth checking out.

Monica C.

Yelp
We went for breakfast and Wowsers the portions are huge. But the food was good and our server was super friendly and attentive, but not annoyingly so She kept the coffee hot and my friend's tea filled. The place was clean and interesting decor, so there were cool things to look at while you waited for your order. I would definitely eat here again.

Jenn O.

Yelp
Love this place for a quick breakfast a quick The service is always great and the people are always friendly.Only problem is ... it is so popular there is generally a wait .. and the parking is non existent..

Nycole R.

Yelp
This has been on my list of places to try for a really long time, but each time I've ventured out to try it, I've been deterred by the line of people waiting outside. Today, I went a little earlier and was quoted a 5-10 wait which ended up being less than five minutes for a table for two. I was ecstatic! My friend and I sat outside on the patio and commented on the lovely day and the comfortable seating. There were other diners nearby and there was a hum of anticipation in the air as everyone placed their orders. Maybe I imagined that part, but I like to pretend that everyone gets as excited as I do about feeding time. The food was terrific! I ordered the single-which was an egg, potatoes and toast. Everything was flavored nicely and the jam that accompanied the toast was delicious. I think the spoon was meant to just politely dish up a serving, but I had to refrain from shoveling spoonfuls directly to my mouth. My friend ordered a pancake sandwich (I forget what it was really called). It had scrambled eggs, potatoes and bacon surrounded by pancakes on top and bottom. It looked delicious and he reported that it was pretty durn good. Worth the wait, and worth not waiting so long until my next visit.

Emily H.

Yelp
I came here at about 1 pm on a Saturday to celebrate my moms birthday and WOW. This little cafe was so quaint and delicious. We waited about 25 min, which was fine because we just went for a walk at Liberty Park across the street. There isn't a lot of parking right in front of the cafe, only about 5 spots but you can park on the side streets or across the street at Liberty. We ordered the Huevos Mexicanos and 2 pieces of French toast. Both were soooo delicious. We loved the Park potatoes. The food was flavorful. Hands down, our favorite part was how quickly the food came out on a Saturday. We waited about 10 min from when we ordered to when we got our food. Such fast service! The cafe is a bit crammed, and we had to shuffle a bit to get out from our table, but it didn't turn me away because of how delicious the food was! Needless to say, I will be a frequent customer here.

Jacob C.

Yelp
I've been going to the park cafe since I sat in a highchair, the park cafe is my favorite cafe of all time! I have never left the park cafe unhappy, the service is amazing! The food is phenomenal (try the Darth burger) the environment is so cozy and fun to be in, you can tell the employees are Star Wars fans, the park cafe is without the best breakfast place in all of Utah!

Michael P.

Yelp
When we arrived, we had about a 40 minute wait which we had anticipated. Put your name down and stroll liberty park. I ordered the FTF (French Toast Foolishness) and it did not disappoint. The park potatoes were ok. They were not as crispy/crunchy as I like but still flavorful. The French toast with the berry jam on the table is the move! Great local spot with unique decor (Spanish Star Wars posters) and a lot of Spanish being spoken.

Carene L.

Yelp
Always nice to find a dog friendly, outdoor brunch place to eat. Ordered the Hash- Wow! Friend had BNB. Great service and food. Not overpriced.

Kelsey S.

Yelp
Amazing breakfast spot in the heart of salt lake. Only a small wait on a Wednesday morning. Service was incredibly fast and the food was delicious! Cool little diner vibe with outdoor seating as well. Great spot.

Corynn B.

Yelp
I'm kicking myself that I didn't visit Park Cafe sooner! There's always a long line outside and a long wait, which is always a good sign that a place is delicious, but this has always deterred me from coming here because I can be impatient when it comes to eating breakfast. This place is worth the hype. The portions are huge and everything we ordered was delicious. They have a little coffee station outside for when you're waiting to be seated. We arrived around 12:15 and we were told it would be a 40 minute wait but we probably only waited closer to 20-25 minutes. They have both indoor seating and outdoor seating, and we were seated outside in the table closest to the door to the outside, but we were super warm! They have multiple heat lamps and even though we were close to the outside, we had to take our jackets off because it was so warm in the outdoor seating area. The service was amazing - there were multiple people bussing, turning tables over, and offering hot coffee and water refills. Our server was lovely as well. I ordered the Michigan Hash and it was delicious. Scrambled eggs (or eggs however you want), veggies, and cheese over their house hash. It comes with sausage, but I got it without. I ordered a side of sourdough bread as well. Everything was cooked to perfection and absolutely delicious. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The sourdough bread came perfectly buttered and toasted and warm and delicious. Everything was reasonably priced and the portions were huge. I can't wait to come back here!

Donald H.

Yelp
I have been there several times. They have always been busy when I got there but they are quick to get you seated and the service is always impeccable. The food is always amazing and fresh. Anytime I am coming through Salt Lake, I always try to make sure I have set aside enough time to go there for breakfast.

Carmen M.

Yelp
Fantastic food and superior service. Every. Single. Person... on their STAFF worked in harmony as it didn't matter who you encountered... they all had welcoming attitudes, smiles and outstanding service. A great experience makes it worth returning, but the food was Exceptional & Delicious. Packed house for a weekday! So worth it!
