The afternoon tea was good and dessert tasted fine. The scone was very hard and our server got us two new fresh ones. By the way the neighborhood parking is free.

Went with some friends here for afternoon tea recently. First off, The Heights House is a lovely lovely spot and the experience was overall enjoyable. But this tea service is way overpriced. The tea itself sat in the kettles the entire time, oversteeping and ultimately making the teas (especially green and black) bitter. The bites were all pretty good, but nothing was all that memorable or really reached a level I expected based on the price tag. I also asked in advance for no red meat, and the one sandwich that normally comes with prosciutto arrived to me exactly the same just without the prosciutto. For $100/person it was extremely disappointing to see this lack of effort, even with the advanced notice. The highlight for me was the scone, but we each only received a very small mini-scone which was disappointing. There are other tea services in the area that are similar in price or cheaper where you can find a better experience. I’ll go to one of these next time. (Fearrington House, Umstead)

Delicious food, LOVED the Sunday sauce pasta. Drinks were tasty as well. Definitely recommend the marinated olives and whipped ricotta. Vibes were also on point from the beautiful atmosphere. Husband thought it was a little pricey, but what isn’t to him ya know? Would come again!

The atmosphere of the Parlour is warm, cozy, exquisite, and unique. We celebrated our anniversary here, and it felt really special. Sean the bartender was so friendly, and told us all about the history of the house. We returned another night and sat by the fire with our books and journals. It's a truly special place!

I went to the Parlor for drinks and apps to celebrate my birthday. The staff was incredibly kind and attentive. The charcuterie board was delicious (get the truffle honey) as well as the sweets board. The drinks were wonderful and had beautiful presentation. Will definitely be coming back and might be my new birthday spot!!

Great date night spot! We started with drinks, charcuterie and a quick game of checkers! The house has an understated beauty simply decorated in neutrals. Not overwhelming or period overdone like some historical homes. It’s fresh and inviting with bouquets of flowers popping against the subtle scheme. It’s quiet for intimate conversation. But not stuffy. There were girl groups and couples enjoying the front porch and multiple parlors. The board games are a nice touch and fun way to enjoy the parlor. The cocktail menu had just converted to spring, and everything we tried was simply delicious. The cocktails have a clean, fresh taste, again, not overdone. I learned they offer from massages, and cannot wait to visit again and indulge. Heights House is charming and inviting. Great place to Unwind and enjoy some old Raleigh beauty with a cocktail or two!

5 stars all the way: service, atmosphere, drinks & especially the charcuterie board. Don't hesitate on the truffle honey, I woke up wanting this for breakfast. The Parlor is the perfect place for a date night or to grab drinks with a small group of friends & highly recommend taking anyone from out of town for a unique experience in Raleigh. Location is great, parking was so easy, & it's only about a 10 minute walk to south Glenwood. My friends & I loved talking to Mindy last night, she is the sweetest! Planning a staycation in September & can't wait to come back!

As soon as I arrived in town my sister brought me to this beautifully crafted hidden gem. This place falls into so many categories from a Speakeasy, Great Gatsby Vibed Hotel Bar, bed-and-breakfast everything you’ve never thought of. The intentionality of every single detail staff included was pure Genius. Speaking of staff, I had the pleasures of meeting Lydia and Donnie (I hope I spelled it right) being served by Donnie the BEST mixologist I’ve ever encountered. She is a Beautiful spirit inside and out you can tell she truly enjoys people because her smile lights the room and makes you feel like you’ve known her forever. Her knowledge of the types of alcohols and proper pairing, depending on your likes or mood, the suggestions were so on point, the attention to detail, making the customer feel like the only one in the room while still catering to every one else. She has a gift! Yes, the mansion was breathtaking, but Donnie was for sure the star of the night. Whoever the owner is you have hidden gems in every staff member I encountered last night 12-21-23. I would hands-down travel 12 hours again to come back to this place, that’s how amazing my experience was. Thank you for starting my holiday off right
