Parlor Pizza Review - West Loop - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Lower your Ray Bans, raise a Miller Lite, and clink bottles with your buddies - it’s time to make a toast to the temporary return to your college self. Parlor Pizza let’s you take a time machine back to senior year, when worries were minimal, caloric intake was maximal, and your biggest struggle was putting on real people clothes before noon. Parlor gives you decent pizza, better bar food, and a solid beer list that best accompanies all activities related to sports watching and outdoor drinking. On a Friday/Saturday night, the whole place is a straight up Scene with a capital S. Everyone looks like they could be on The Bachelor, and most people are acting the part. You can feel the hormones bouncing off the walls as girls teeter by in jumpsuits and Macklemore-haired guys in a rainbow of pastel button-downs high five over Hawks’ wins. But the rest of the week, it’s low- key and casual and makes for a solid spot for day hanging, happy hours, and game watches. It’s a pretty big space with a large rowdy bar plus ample dining options. But you’re not here to stay inside - head outside to either the large picnic table patio or the rooftop bar. Yeah, you heard that right. They have not one, but two solid outdoor spaces. Though these gifts aren’t without their sacrifices, because you’re going to wait at least an hour if it’s a beautiful day and you haven’t made a reservation. Clearly, they serve pizza, and it’s decent, but we don’t want to set unreasonable expectations. The Neapolitan-style pizza will satisfy everyone and wow no one, which honestly might be for the best. Nobody will feel alienated like you do at a deep dish or New York-style spot. They’re big enough, cheesy enough, and full of good toppings. We’d rather make a meal out of mostly appetizers and top it off with one pizza to split amongst the group. Go into it with the mindset of, “This is bar food.” And as far as bar food goes, they’re doing great. For a few hours on a warm afternoon, escape to a place where middle shelf vodka was a luxury good and metabolisms were still kicking. It’s the only place like it in the West Loop, and we’re sure it won’t be for long. We can’t promise that you’ll be able to handle your hangovers like a college champ, but for the time being, Parlor let’s you pretend like you aren’t going to feel it tomorrow. Food Rundown Nacho Bites We love nachos as much as the next person, but if nachos had a downside, it’d be that the chip to topping ratio can be inconsistent. Parlor perfects nachos by portioning nacho ingredients onto each individual chip so your OCD self doesn’t need to allocate each topping. And these are particularly good with sweet BBQ pork, refried beans, and chipotle cream. Brussels Sprouts Traditional sprouts aka charred with bacon and topped with parmesan. The serving size is good, and the pieces of bacon are thick and plump. The dish is pretty oily, which is either a blessing or a curse depending on what you’re looking for. Antipasto Chopped Salad An Italian medley of prosciutto, artichokes, cheese, olives, and tomatoes. It’s on the smaller side and pretty light which is a nice partner to the heavy pizzas and apps. It’s not substantial enough to make a meal (which is true of all of the salads), but makes for a good side. Sgt. Pepper Pizza Marinara and fresh mozzarella with pepperoni and truffle oil. It’s a crowd pleaser. It might be a little heavy handed on the truffle oil, but there are worse things in the world. Brussel Shuffle Pizza Take the brussels and pancetta appetizer, deconstruct it, and throw it on a pizza. Add some lemon zest for good measure. It’s a delicious, tasty twist to traditional pizzas. Abe Froman’s Fave Pizza The Sausage King of Chicago did not disappoint with a subtly spicy sausage pizza with red peppers, spinach, and fresh mozz. Burrata Be Kidding Me Fresh mozzarella and burrata, arugula, lemon vinaigrette, and truffle oil. Our favorite pizza of the bunch. They cover it with fistfuls of arugula, and the lemon vinaigrette makes it lighter than most standard white pizzas." - Claire Schlafly

I rode 34 miles from Brooklyn to dobbs ferry and just had one of the best wood fired pizzas in my life. The staff and service was beyond phenomenal. This was worth every painful minute of riding.

My girlfriend and I eat here for the first time on the recommendations of a friend. There is a chill retro vibe in this restaurant with its Decor being somewhat unique like a village bar that's been around for a long time. The walls are decorated with a graffiti like effect including the bathroom with some interesting pictures like a picture of Elvis and Nixon shaking hands As far as the food.... We were left disappointed when one of our appetizers came to the table Stone Cold. The waiter was excellent though and apologized for it coming out that way and promptly said he was going to take it off our bill and asked us if we would like another appetizer at no charge. The chef did send back the original appetizer pernour waiter, so we cou still enjoy it, which we were told was cooked fresh but even that appetizer was lukewarm to warm. We ordered a margarita pizza to share since I did not want to have any meat. It had a pretty wide puffy outer crust around the edges but I found the margarita slices to be very soppy from the sauce with a thin crust underneath the toppings. It had no integrity to the slice and the cheese fell right off as you tried to pick it up. Overall it was a somewhat disappointing visit for $55 dollars before tip. We are going to try it again sometime because their burgers are supposed to be absolutely amazing!!!

Google
5 stars across the board. Our waiter was so informative, funny, attentive and available. (Think his name was Geo) The food was amazing. We had the brussel sprouts, which were so interesting but sooo good. The design of the restaurant was cool, and the bathroom was funny (it had writing all over it). Points off for atmosphere because they had no toilet paper in the bathroom.

If you're looking for an "upper crust" pizza dining experience, then look no further than The Parlor. There are few other options on the menu, other than pizza and salad, but that's okay, as they do both superbly. I started with a side house salad with the optional crispy chicken. The chicken was amazing. It was light, crispy, and mouth watering. I still can't stop talking about its incredible flavor. I then had the pepperoni pizza. Incredibly delicious. Fresh ingredients, doughy, tasty, and filling would be the best way to describe this culinary miracle. It was simply divine. In addition to the food, the service was very friendly and attentive. Reservations highly recommended. If you're a pizza person, then you must stop at The Parlor.

Google
We had an excellent time tonight. It took awhile to get our food but overall the experience was great. The food and flavors were outstanding. We had a special Italian combo sandwich as an appetizer and for pizza we had the meatball and the lemonator. The ice cream sandwich for dessert was by far one of the best desserts I’ve had in a long time.

Google
Our favourite things here are the Parlor eggs and simple Margarita pizza! The pizza dough as well as the tomato souse are so delicious!! Service is very fast and parking spots are available just across the street. Thank you guys for your amazing service. We will definitely be back!

Google
Very pleasantly surprised by the flavors and unique options. So happy with the chicken fried eggplant and the sprouts. Love the charred flavor mixed with sweet and savory. Looking forward to visiting and trying new dishes. The staff was also extremely friendly, thanks for a nice evening!

Google
As someone who is gluten free, the gluten free crust was not great in my opinion. It felt rubbery to bite into, and the crust crisped strangely. I could tell the restaurant uses good ingredients, as the sauce and cheese were very good.

Yelp
Go here for incredible wood fired pizza, totally fun cocktails and tasty small plates. The Parlor blends simple ingredients to create unexpected plates like brussel sprouts with Rice Krispies. Try an a la mode "brookie" (brownie-cookie hybrid) for dessert. Service is very attentive, friendly, full of smart recommendations and quite accommodating when making requests. Self-serve coat check wall at entry. Colorful graffiti-grunge decor juxtaposes the high quality food. Comfortable seating options with mood lighting just right. With their delicious reputation, it can fill up fast so arrive early-ish or just make a reservation. Outdoor dining available and encouraged in warmer months.

Yelp
The Parlor: the most happening restaurant on Dobbs Ferry downtown strip. We ate outside, after being marginally late for a same day reservation. We were very pleased with the service (other than the especially long wait time for our main course) our appetizer came quickly and we were surprised by the presentation -- even more so by the dish! Fried Brussel Sprout cereal was absolutely fantastic. Something we certainly hadn't had before, if you enjoy tasty food and are open to trying something different The Parol is happy to re-introduce these family friendly favorites. Of course we had a pizza for the main dish, it's a must have here. Traditionally cut-it-yourself style the Bianca and Sausage pies served on round metal trays. We ended up modifying the Sausage because it is on the "white" menu, we added a red sauce to it.. then he didn't love the sauce in the end but it was good. The Bianca was great. Drinks: main lunch IPA and doctors something with ginger beer which I can say is not too much alcohol. Great taste, small little glass for a beer. Try it and enjoy it, outside seating was available on the street.

Yelp
This is one of those "celebrity chef" type of places. I tried it a few times and waited to review it because I wanted to be fair. Overall it's good. One bite pizza score would be 7.6 the crust has been a bit doughy and not in the good way a few times and with this type of pizza it makes a difference. They offer some unique choices and while pizzas like "everything bagel" sounds like an interesting option overall it's more of a party trick than something that is worth trying more than once or twice. Their smash fries are not fries at all and ridiculous they even call half boiled half baked mushy dry potato wedges fries. Lots of chances they take here and sometimes they pull it off and other times it's fall flat. The new addition of a hotdog to the menu is no reason to race over there. Drinks are overpriced and not worth it. Service is the only redeeming quality and was consistently great every time. Since Yelp hates true rating scores I probably would rate this closer to a 3.5 stars but rounded it down to 3 because if they get it right it's a solid 4 and underpriced but if they get it wrong (doughy under proofed crust) then it belongs in the trash.
google avatar

Kellyann K.

Yelp
Service was excellent!!fun unique little pizza joint You use scissors to cut your pizza any way you like

Eddy M.

Yelp
I really don't know what the fuss is about this place went the other day and was not impressed with food or service, pizza was just fair, parking is hard to find you have to be lucky to get a spot near restaurant.
google avatar

Lily J.

Yelp
Nice afternoon spot to dine with friends! Trendy-ish interior makes for cute photo-ops. Prices aren't extravagant, but less than affordable which is on-par with everything else in the County. Menu is interesting, diverse, and very delicious which is made even better by the satisfactory food preparation/cooking... I doubt you will ever find yourself sending a meal back here. It's a cute place. If you haven't been, you should definitely check it out. In the spirit of being "trendy", you'll appreciate the creative dish & drink names (as I will include in the photos). a
google avatar

Keith R.

Yelp
Best pizza in Westchester! Very relaxed atmosphere. Tasty burger and fried chicken sandwich too!
google avatar

Brooke Y.

Yelp
The Parlor is a reasonable choice for those with kids looking for an accommodating option for lunch or an early dinner. The waitstaff and clientele are understanding of young, messy guests and the space is built to absurd rogue pizza slices dropping to the floor. Bathrooms are covered in kitschy graffiti, which is cool, but need a deep cleaning, which is not. On a recent visit we ordered four different pizzas - and couldn't really tell the difference between any of them. Pizzas are priced for sharing but arrive sized for a medium-sized kid. Tatter tots were tasty.
google avatar

Roman K.

Yelp
I happen to like chef Di Bari's inventive dishes have been to all four of his establishments - The Cookery, The Parlor, Rare Bit (under different ownership now) and Eugenes Diner (closed) . Haven't been to the Parlor since pre pandemic days. I arrived about 8:45PM, not very busy. I was seated immediately, took a couple of minutes to decide on a brew and meal. I decided on two appetizers and dessert. Home made crusty bread with ricotta & honey or maple syrup, foie gras mouse filled cannoli with caramelized onion and cheese cake for dessert. The ricotta so smooth and velvety. Now the cannoli is a whole other experience, god, should have ordered a dozen to go. Mouse, fluffy, just melts in your mouth, almost orgasmic. After that cannoli nothing else mattered. Cheese cake was good. I believe the items I ordered were from the daily specials, so if you're interested in the cannoli, call.

H Y.

Yelp
I like crispy bottom crust, I don't know how they can do that since pizza was kind of dark on the bottom. Asked for meatball topping , there was small pieces of meat; very small portion of meat balls. Soft boil eggs were amazing and so is the Bread and Butter . 3% added to our bill for "Kitchen Share" That's unacceptable. Service was excellent , Zach was very pleasant and accommodating.
google avatar

Michelle T.

Yelp
The BALLS pie is insanely delicious, these meatballs deserve their own space on Chef DiBari's menu. We always park ourselves at the bar and enjoy ridiculously pleasant service along with incredibly tasty goodness. The only thing that would top our experience would be the meatball recipe
google avatar

Yelp
Service was wildly inattentive and the wait for everything from placing our order to getting our food was very, very long. Our reservation was for a little after 6pm and we left the restaurant a little before 8pm, which in my book is a rather long time for a pizza dinner. Food was decent. The crisp eggplant board appetizer was great -- the whipped ricotta was creamy yet light, the eggplant wasn't salty, and the burst tomatoes were a nice touch. The alla vodka pizza was way too runny; I'd lift up a slice and everything would slide off, leaving a soggy, droopy piece of dough. The lemonator pizza was great as always, though.

Yelp
Another fabulous lunch at the parlor. I'm so glad I've given this restaurant a second chance! We had to start off with parlor pockets, and I got a burger and my husband got the fried chicken sandwich. The parlor pockets were outstanding, the perfect doughy cup to a soft boiled egg with wonderfully warm ricotta. Delicious! The burger I got was amazing. So much flavor and I love the Yum sauce on top! The Fried chicken sandwich was really crisp, with a great maple syrup Sriracha kick! Our waiter was outstanding, very personable and offered up recommendations. All in all, it was a wonderful lunch. We will be back!
google avatar

Christine F.

Yelp
Came here on a Friday with some friends for restaurant week. We got the crispy Brussels sprouts which were out of this word !!!!!! Their gluten free crust was nice and chewy, definitely one of the better GF pizza doughs I've had.
google avatar

Ivette G.

Yelp
I'm so disappointed by this place. Mostly the customer service (or lack thereof) 3x I've attempted to eat here. The first 2 times was for dinner... they said the wait was atleast 1hr 1/2! This last time really did it for me. Because I had the previous 2 experiences with dinning- I decided to try during lunch hour... I called and they said they had tables for 2 available. I drive down (15mins from phone call) - I walk in and guess what! The gentleman says "sorry we don't have any tables, everything is reserved" I was in shock! The restaurant was atleast 70% EMPTY! I asked him - there are so many tables empty there is no way to be seated? " he was like NOPE everything is reserved " I couldn't believe it. It blew my mind that they would turn away business like that.... There was no line, no one waiting just me and my daughter and the very few tables occupied. Needless to say - I won't try a 4th time.

Victoria J.

Yelp
10/10 Amazing food. Nice staff. Funky fun atmosphere. Server made a great recommendation and we really enjoyed our food. Neapolitan pizza done right!
google avatar

Rachel G.

Yelp
We try to stop at the Parlor every time we drive upstate from the city. The Neapolitan pizzas are fantastic and rival some of the best in the city. The Parlor has a seasonal menu, so there are always new things to try when we visit. This time we ordered a couple pizzas and sides. The smashed fries were crispy roasted wedges that I could eat all day. The classic Margherita pizza is a must, with its perfectly charred, chewy crust. The Lemonator pizza was quite unique, with cured lemons, mozzarella, basil, parm, and lemon oil. It reminded me of pasta al lemone, but in pizza form. I would definitely order it again. The Parlor will always be a pit stop on NY road trips. I can't miss the chance to get more of those pizzas!

Alex R.

Yelp
We ordered from here again. Repeat experience. Tiniest portions. $100 of pizza will leave your family of four feeling hungry.
google avatar

David R.

Yelp
Another great gem as reported by "Westchester Magazine " from the readers as the best Margarita Pizza in Westchester. Now, I've never tried every single Margarita pizza in all of Westchester. But after my experience there last night, this Margarita is my favorite. My server, Dazmon was super cool and so pleasant. My wife and I both ordered the Margarita and devoured it. It's so addictive, I thought about ordering another one, but I'll save it for next time which means I'll be coming back. My wife ordered "The cookie " which was a huge baked chocolate cookie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream . That was delicious but for dessert, I was enjoying their ice cold tap beer that went perfect with my pizza .
google avatar

Polina V.

Yelp
Everything bagel pizza -- Everything. Everything else -- amazing. Never disappoints
google avatar

Allister M.

Yelp
Parlor has amazing pizza!!! No question highlight of Dobbs dining! Selection of pies are exceptional with the Everything (yes, think bagel) being the pick! Unfortunately the pickup option for the restaurant is a bit of a debacle so eating in wise!!!
google avatar

Bianca D.

Yelp
One night we were in the area and searching for a place to eat. We googled what was near us and decided to give The Parlor and try, and so glad we did. The place itself it's cute and intimate. We were able to walk in and be seated right away. The staff was lovely and helped us navigate the menu. We each had an individual pizza, which was the perfect size. We started with the everything ceasar which was crisp and not over dresses. Next we had the butter board (need I say more?) absolutely loved it. For pizza we had the roni roni roni, the Bianca (my personal fave :) ) and the lemonator. I never thought I would enjoy lemon on pizza but it was surprisingly good. Definitely recommend it if you want to try something different! When we were there is was also restaurant week so they had a great special going on with seasonal desserts. Overall really enjoyed this spot and can't wait to go back.

Waka W.

Yelp
Best pizza I have ever eaten we ordered pepperoni pizza and mushrooms pizza, they both were so tasty and enjoyed every bite! The burger my daughter ordered was good but fries were a bit over cooked. We would like to return again soon to try other pizzas The service was good and ambiance was cozy!
google avatar

Alexandra R.

Yelp
Some of the best food and service in Westchester county. The restaurant is casual and kid friendly but also great for a date night or big groups. You can't go wrong here- it's my go-to for a fun night out with the family.
google avatar

Christine B.

Yelp
Love love LOVE! This place is the bomb. Try the Brussels sprouts with what?! Rice Crispies! No really. And every pizza I've had here is amazing. Roni Roni Roni and the meatball are family favs.
google avatar

Frank G.

Yelp
Had the Black Mission Fig with bacon and a delicious creamy cheese sauce. Absolutely terrific, but the kicker is the Caesar salad with the house made tater tots croutons. This is the perfectly dressed salad and if you never had Albita rootbeer it is special. All very enjoyable.

Sarah S.

Yelp
My four year old needs a pie to himself here, that should say enough. It is unbelievable delicious, hot, and fresh. Their specials are amazing and they are so kind and friendly. Nothing happier than pizza, good drinks, and good vibes.

Taia G.

Yelp
Awesome vibe! Great service! Love the graffiti decor and the food was really really good. It's an adult and kid-friendly establishment. Great communal table to drop in alone or with a group. Will be back!
google avatar

Lauren J.

Yelp
Went there for Valentine's Day last night and had a wonderful time. The atmosphere was lovely - dim lighting, good music choice and nice to see everyone came out for a vegan meal. We started off with the vegan chicharrones and wood baked bread with butter. Then for apps we chose the chickpea fritters and crisp potato gnocchi. Those chickpea fritters were my favorite part of the meal... so good. Then for entrees we chose the fried eggplant and mushroom milanese, both were delicious. For dessert we got the strawberry pizza pie and sticky chocolate espresso cake (what I came for) and I took half home... it was a chocolate lovers dream. Our server, (I didn't get his name) was awesome too! Thanks! Ps - PLEASSEEE put those chickpea fritters on the menu
google avatar

F A.

Yelp
This is a fun place to bring friends, family, or a date. Their appetizers and pizzas are delish! One noteworthy appetizer is their brussels sprouts with rice crispies and honey chili oil. As for the pizza, I recommend the margherita, fresh market greens, and the holy cheesus. Just get here. You won't be disappointed!
google avatar

Mercedes C.

Yelp
A damn great Wood-Fired Pizza crust thrills the heck out of me. Throw in a simple non-seasoned tomato sauce, thin dough and that right there... is a jackpot in my book! And having read many great things about Parlor In Dobbs Ferry, it was showtime to try it out. Since I've stripped dairy out of my life, all I do nowadays is go all in for pizza minus cheese. Even without the queso, Parlor really takes the cake for the crust, dough and sauce! I initially wanted the 'Shrooms' Pizza but the gentleman mentioned mushrooms are already prepared with the Béchamel. My man... thank you for the heads up!!! The highlight for me was not only the Abita Vanilla Creme Soda I had- but my Margherita Pizza- sans Mozzarella with olive oil drizzle was money. That charred puffy crust. That thin dough. And that freaking tomato sauce: it was all tomatoes and das it! Really digging how Parlor paired their menu with a street art style these guys got going on... plus that brick wall! Service was super chill and so attentive. Couldn't see further from where I sat, but I can almost see why booking in advance is the thing to do as it's difficult to get a table at the last minute. Proof is all here in this spot and seems like it's been mega-hyped for its freshness, flavor and uniqueness in Westchester. My lunch was quick but I'm so sure the rest of the menu is banging. I dig the edge Parlor has going on and if you're serious about Neapolitan Pizza, simple tomato sauce...get over here stat!

Erica C.

Yelp
Great pizza, nice staff, cute spot, but $$$$. My family of 4 (2 kids) needs 3 pizzas and it's easily $60. We'd eat here all the time if it were slightly less expensive.
google avatar

Angela B.

Yelp
Three words: "bone marrow pizza" You're welcome Ok, a few more words...the vibe is very chill, the wait staff are helpful and friendly and the drinks are fun, gallon size sugary, alcohol concoctions. Great pizza spot
google avatar

Allana D.

Yelp
So this is a pizza restaurant, and the pizza is really good, but holy sh*t their fried chicken is on another level. I've only ever done pick up so I can't speak to service (ambience seemed nice) but if you're having a rough day, week, year, (and frankly I want to meet the person who isn't in 2021 and either shake their hand or yell at them), it's never a bad idea for to have a pizza and fried chicken dinner with friends/family. Oh and the french fries are baller, too. I'm not usually one to arrogantly say you're welcome but, you're welcome.

Bill F.

Yelp
Wonderful, inventive pizzas and the best burger in town, in a fun setting with reasonable prices. I wish I could go there more often.
google avatar

Jenny R.

Yelp
I just got back from Hudson Valley Restaurant Week. I am a vegan and I saw they had a few options on that particular menu that can be made vegan and are vegan too. I decided on the winter salad, chicken fried eggplant, and there were no vegan desserts options on the menu, but they made me a small apple pie which was dealt generous of them. Everything was amazing and everyone was really kind, especially with the apple pie thing alone. I will definitely be back for the regular menu and to try more of the cocktails too

Sterling S.

Yelp
Love this hip pizza place. Definitely a fun foodie pizza parlor. Great specials and drinks. I like cutting my own pizza.
google avatar

Croton M.

Yelp
You know when a place does well when they first open, only to turn on autopilot? That's how I felt when my wife and I ate here. I noticed bread sitting uncovered on a hanging basket/shelf, with cobwebs attached to the basket/shelf and light fixture nearby. Nasty. Pizza was not crisp, doughy. Entire experience felt "mechanical," Not going back.
google avatar

Kaitlyn D.

Yelp
Wow! Really great spot. Staff was friendly, knowledgeable and accommodating. Pizza was different, in the best way possible! We got the everything bagel pizza and it was delicious, we can't wait to go back to try another type of pie! Only complaint is the drink I ordered was a little pricey for its size... but it was made well.
google avatar

Gabriella M.

Yelp
An eclectic spin on your typical pizza makes for an exciting experience. You know the ingredients are fresh and clean when you don't feel heavy after eating a personal pie. The frozen jalapeño margarita was a delicious add on too; not too sweet, fresh and clean. COVID calls for unwarranted times and they made dining feel safe and worth the adventuring outdoors. I don't enjoy eating out like I used to because I find there are short cuts and unhealthy options hidden in meals. The owner of this restaurant, along with their privately owned other restaurants always come with clean love, fully bellies and light bodies after devouring everything. We loved it!

Frank S.

Yelp
It must be me I drive past there everyday and people are in there eating in there.I tried it wasn't the pizza I know growing up in Brooklyn and owning the largest brick oven pizzeria, I didn't put honey, buffalo chicken and cut it with a scissor , call it something else , my grandma is turning in her grave!

Mary S.

Yelp
Very disappointing. We went for the Vegan Valentine's Prix Fix for Valentine's Day. The vegan fried chicken was an oversized Quorn nugget. The "pulled pork" was mushrooms in a ketchupy barbecue sauce on top of a dense, uninspired biscuit. The "banana split" was an old brown banana heated up and split open with some sort of sickly sweet cream and peanuts on top, no cherry. The sticky chocolate espresso cake was a gelatinous mess. They have no business serving vegan here. This meal cost us $230. with tip. For 2 people.
google avatar

Adriana R.

Yelp
Wow! Was not expecting this amazing experience- cocktail menu was creative - beer also cool selection - the pizzas were awesome - very different / I had the lemon one - yes - lemon and garlic on pizza - it was delicious and very original ! - the others were also fantastic - great quality ingredients - best crust ever! awesome service - original decor - wow what a find and the best part was the Brussel sprouts ! There are no words .... Other than GO NOW!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try The Parlor for a while now, ever since they were featured on Fios 1. I was banking on trying their Bone Marrow Pizza but hubby is not as adventurous as I so we settled for the Sausage Pie. He leaned my way with the Pastrami Wings appetizer. Those wings were awesome, served with pickles and tangy mustard that you apply to your wings with a brush. Creative. We both really loved everything we ordered! Make sure you get the condiments because that Sriracha Honey is great on ALL THINGS! Staff was phenomenal and very attentive. Guadalupe was our server and she was great, pointing out the specials and giving good suggestions. I mean, you just can't beat serving your pizza slices with a pair of scissors. Amazeballs. I kept it light with a Bengali and hubbs had one of their flask cocktails, the Bees Knees which was tasted like a lemonade spiked to infinity. The decor is trendy, giving its nod to good old fashioned NYC pizza with a flair. The graffiti wall art is different and not something you'd expect to see in this area. Some of the artwork is very eclectic but I particularly loved the Bob Ross and George Costanza pictures in the bathroom. Classy AF. The quirkiness alone, would warrant a return visit bit I'm coming back for the food.
google avatar

Sabin C.

Yelp
When your pizza is featured on the cover of Westchester Magazine it's not by accident, politics, money or the Pizza Fairy! My entry point to any new pizza place is always, always, always a Margherita. Because believe it or not it's the hardest to get right. Adding toppings will always mask the basic flavors. My favorite is Neapolitan style which is soupy with a light airy crust. So if it's done right, which is all timing, the results are magic. Anyhow, The Parlor is the best at this. And apart from this the menu is fantastic for vegetarians and vegans alike. The bar area is small but would be a cool scene on evenings in the summer. I hope to return very soon to try more offerings. Oh and you cut your own pizza with scissors - never seen that before!

Yelp
The Pizza Gods shined on us today even though the weather was a bit drab. We found ourselves in Dobbs Ferry and I recall hearing about The Parlor so off we went in search of street parking and again the Gods were with us. We shared the Four cheese pizza which was out of this world. The pizza crust was chewy with a slightly smoky flavor elevated by the 4 cheeses (ricotta, mozzarella, scamorza, parmigiano, chili honey). Hands down one of the best non traditional pizza's I've ever had. We started the meal with the fried brussel sprouts rice crispies, parmigiano, chili honey. The comb was tasty and fun. I will return.

Yelp
The food and service here were fantastic. We tried shrooms pizza and wonder woman cocktail. This is a great place to get some delicious pizza. I will definitely go back. This place is my best reason for my next visit to Dobbs Ferry. Definitely recommended.

Yelp
Ok, where do I begin? I know. First I will start by saying I like my pizza firm not floppy, well done but not burnt. I enjoy fresh ingredients on my pizza as well. So we were at The Parlor this past weekend and I wish I had enjoyed my pizza more. We ordered the Margarita and the "balls" or (meatball) pizza. Both had very fresh ingredients and baked in a real fired oven. They are presented immediately to you still cooking on a pizza tin with a pair scissors for self cutting. My issues begin here. The pizza does not set up as it is hot and put on a tin plate. The tin plate does not let the moisture escape which in turn does not let the the dough firm up to hold the ingredients. My dough was floppy and wet and the cheese just slides off. While it tastes good there is no structure so it falls apart. Also my pizza wasn't charred, it was burnt. The edges were inedible. Don't get me wrong if you like soft possibly floppy dough and fresh ingredients you'll enjoy. However, not my cup tea, sorry. The place looks great, the ambience is really great the! The service is also great and friendly.

Yelp
This spot is consistently great. Delicious food & drinks. Definitely recommend all the pizzas. They aren't your typical thin NY slice, they're Neapolitan style, so keep that in mind before going or ordering out. Make sure to try the brussels sprouts for something a bit more adventurous!
