The Parsonage is a great place to stay in Gran Rapids. It’s right in the Historic District which has a ton of character and charm. It’s close to downtown. We went in February and the Inn was comfortable and warm. My room was spacious and the bed was extremely comfortable. The shower was recently renovated, hot and good. Steve and Deb, the hosts are helpful and accommodating. Oh and the cookies and muffins were delicious. Definitely stay here.

I have always wanted to stay at a B&B with a true B&B experience. We were only there for one night, as we were in town for concert with my two daughters, but I can honestly say we had a wonderful experience. We rented the retreat, the two bedroom suite on the third floor. It has two bedrooms, a sitting room, where my daughter and husband played multiple games at checkers, as well as a very large bathroom and separate kitchen. Steven met us upon arrival and was an amazing host. Everything was very clean and cozy and we just enjoyed every minute there. It is within walking distance to some restaurants, bakery, and coffee, shops, etc.. I have to say we will definitely stay here again in the future. Thank you, Steven for making this a seamless experience with the easiest check in and check out.

The Parsonage Inn was a beautiful historic home in the Heritage Hill area of Grand Rapids, MI. We loved the antiques and perfectly preserved home. Everything is clean and well maintained and very comfortable. We stayed in the Wedding Room which was beautiful with a king bed and spacious private bath. We had seating in the room and also a small common seating area just outside the room with a shared refrigerator which was very handy. We took advantage of the gorgeous outdoor porch in the front of the home and a very comfortable TV room on the first floor to watch our favorite team win a playoff game. Breakfast was lovely and served formally in the dining area where we met other guests. We will definitely go back when in Grand Rapids.

We are continuing our tour of presidential libraries and bed and breakfasts. Grand Rapids has both worth visiting. Stayed two nights at The Parsonage, the room was lovely and the pink bathroom was amazing. Plenty of coffee, drinks, and snacks available all day and a very generous hot breakfast. Lots of restaurants and attractions within walking distance, definitely check out the free tours at the Frank Lloyd Wright house across the street.

We have stayed at the Parsonage Inn multiple times over the past 5 years. We always stay there when going to Grand Rapids. The house is beautiful and historic. It has always been clean. The rooms are spacious and the house is quiet. They serve a delicious homemade breakfast each morning. We have enjoyed our stays there and I know we will be back.

Deb and Stephen were such a joy and very accommodating. We checked in with zero issues and got a knowledgeable history of the Inn and the neighborhood. The rooms were clean and beautiful, the pictures do not do it justice. Had a wonderful stay and will stay here every time I visit Grand Rapids.

Excellent location in Heritage Hills. Close to everything and a great neighborhood to explore. Delicious breakfast freshly prepared by Steven. Beautiful, well kept historic home. Rooms were very comfortable and well appointed. Found our new "go-to" accomodations in Grand Rapids. Thanks Deb & Steven for a wonderful stay

The Parsonage Inn is a lovely Bed and Breakfast home in a lovely area of Grand Rapids. I stayed in the Wedding Room, which had a nice, huge private bath. The owner upgraded me at no extra cost to a room with a private bath because it was available, and I really appreciated that. They have thought of all the details, including an in-room coffee maker, which was such a blessing, a magnified make-up mirror, and a mini refrigerator available, which I appreciated as I carry medication that has to stay refrigerated. The room was huge and had its own A/C unit, which I also appreciated since I am from the south and am hot natured. Breakfast was delicious and served by the owner and an assistant, who was just as nice as she could be. One of the things I love about staying at a B and B is meeting and talking to the owners and other guests, and my stay here was perfect in that respect. I only had one night in Grand Rapids, but really wish I could have stayed longer at this fantastic B and B and had more time to talk to the owners. They were so sweet and interesting - I wanted to hear more about their home and their ministry, but I had to hit the road. A good reason to come back, I suppose! Finally, I think one of the hardest things for a B and B owner/host to balance is to engage enough with guests without over-engaging. The owners of The Parsonage Inn hit this balance perfectly. Interestingly, on my trip, I stayed at two other B and Bs in other towns. At one, the owners were so way too engaged to the point I felt they were more like dorm parents checking up on me (I'm a 52-year-old woman!) and at the other, I felt the owners were not engaged enough. In short, The Parsonage Inn was a charming and delightful place with delightful people!

Yelp
Amazing hospitality from Deb and Steve the proprietors. Historic home with 3 floors and a storied past. Most bathrooms have tiled ceilings! Even ones without showers, which is unheard of, which adds to the home's character. We got the 3rd floor room #5 which had a living room, kitchen, and bathroom on the floor - since room #6 was being renovated we got to have the whole floor to ourselves. Deb makes fresh chocolate chip cookies which are amazing The neighborhood itself is great - Heritage Hill - a neighborhood of 1000 homes all older than our great grandparents :) Within a 10 minute walk to the east you'll find half a dozen or so restaurants and bars and one of the jewels of the neighborhood - Art of the Table - which has spirits and tons of unique foods and knick knacks. Downtown is only a 20 minute walk if that's what you fancy. Rates were half of rooms downtown but with double the charm and service Look forward to coming back again!

Yelp
What a lovely place to stay! A friend and I found The Parsonage when looking for a place to stay for a weekend wedding, and the entire experience was a treat. From the stunning and well-kept house to the delicious food, and of course, the friendly and thoughtful family. I would stay again in a heartbeat!
