I came here to celebrate a belated Harvey birthday and had an exceptional experience at The Pass. It was nice just having to choose from a meat inclusive menu and a vegetarian menu. Each course was different, yet complimented one another. The 5 courses was the perfect amount, we added 2 additional courses and ended up taking most of those courses as leftovers. Read the menu carefully, the price of the additional courses is mixed in with the wine pairing prices and are easy to miss.

The attention from the waiter and all the staff was great! We order the mozzarella pizza but it wasn't like any other pizza I've tried before, it has its unique flavour. At the end we ordered a three chocolate tarte, it was amazing a mix of flavours and textures. Absolutely delicious! I'm definitely coming back soon.

Google
Went here to celebrate! The ambience and service was really nice. Food was excellent as well! Hen in the woods pasta, margherita pizza, and baguette with fresh butter were out of this world! Bass did not live up to it's price. In the desserts category, the zucchini and pistachio cake with orange ginger ice cream just wowed us, but the cashew based ice cream did not strike a tone with anyone in the group.

Came for my birthday. I honestly came in with some low expectations since I heard that they changed the amount of courses they had on their menu. What was pleasantly surprised by every dish they brought out. Everything was great. My friends and I got the mix drinks pairing and some of my friends got the wine pairing. Some were and hit and some were and miss. The overall experience was great. We has once dish that we felt were off and we told them so they make a fresh set for the whole table. I will definitely be back again in the future and I can't wait to see what they have in store for next time.

Google
Food was sublime and the service was incredible. They were kind and patient with our medium sized group. Ordered was the roasted snapper, peppers, pizza with Japanese eggplant, steak for 2 and lemon thyme tart with strawberry sorbet.

Google
Amazing food! One of the best service... we ordered roasted shishito peppers (must try!!!), Mozzarella pizza, Cresta di Gallo pasta and Blue corn/ corn custard /kasha streusel/blue berry ice cream in dessert (this one blew my mind)... Its a lil pricey but worth every penny you spend.

The food and drinks are deceptively simple and packed with layers of flavor. You should trust the sommelier to recommend good pairings. The staff are lovely, to a person. The environment strikes a beautiful balance of edge and understated elegance.

Google
Wonderful food, quiet setting, great service! The flavors are a little bold, but I love that! I enjoyed the different flavors the chef Incorporated in the meal. I had the cauliflower soup which had a curry touch to it. I also had the halibut! Small portion but very delicious! I would go back just for the halibut! Must try but for lunch it was a bit pricey

Yelp
We had a great experience. We went to celebrate a birthday and they gave us a glass of champagne to start and did the whole song. We really enjoyed the duck and risotto. The servers were super attentive. Great place for a celebration. They also provided gluten free bread!

Yelp
This was our second visit to this restaurant, and unfortunately, it will likely be our last. While a few dishes stood out, overall the food was underwhelming. The ravioli was dried out, the duck was just okay, and the caviar was fine but nothing memorable. The highlights of the meal were actually the shareables -- the beet salad and sautéed spinach -- both fresh, flavorful, and enjoyable. Service, on the other hand, was spectacular. Our server was attentive, kind, and really made the dining experience as pleasant as possible. Truly, we couldn't have asked for better service. The drinks, however, weren't to our taste, and the real dealbreaker for us was the atmosphere at the oyster bar. The chef's constant yelling and harsh way of speaking to the kitchen staff was extremely distracting. We understand kitchen culture can be intense, but the volume and tone here were over the top -- enough to pull us out of any chance of enjoying our evening together. Having spent over $400, we left feeling that the experience just didn't match the price point. We've been here before and had a better impression, but this time made it clear that this restaurant may not be the right fit for us.

Yelp
Went here for a date night after an exhausting week and absolutely fell in love with the place. Right when we walked in, we were welcomed with professionalism and the romantic ambiance of the restaurant. The service here was very comparable to high end restaurants I've been to and you can really sense the community of the workers here. Onto the food. Oh. My. Goodness. The oysters were so sweet and fresh, we could've had a dozen more! The octopus is a must try for its melt in your mouth interior and crispy exterior. As for our entrees, I would skip out on the short rib ravioli- it has a strong smoky bbq flavor, but a little undercooked for my liking. The smaller portion comes in 4 pieces and the large comes in 8. The duck was the star of the show for us! So fatty and juicy. Ended the night with baked Alaska and their donut-like zeppole. Our backs were huge that night but we enjoyed every moment of it. Highly, highly recommend!

Yelp
Shout out to Hayden and Jaylen...(I believe that's their names) for making my birthday dinner celebration a moment! We enjoyed the bar while waiting on our reservation. Once seated, we proceeded to enjoy a plethora of delicious foods! The kale Caesar, the oysters both fried and stuffed, and mains consisting of the red snapper, the flank steak, the short rib ravioli, and whatever was on the prix fixe menu. We also enjoyed the chocolate dessert and the baked Alaska. All the drinks were amazing, but the best was one created especially for me by Hayden! That's the way to take care of a table! I'll definitely be back when in Houston.

Yelp
The vibe sitting outside away from the noise of inside was amazing given the weather!! Service was spot on. Very attentive without being overly attending. The food was delicious and my husbands steak was cooked to perfection. The prefix menu was nice and offered a good selection! My only complaints were that the whipped cream on my dessert was salted. Made everything taste just not great. The cake/curd itself was amazing. The collards were also so salted I couldn't even eat them.

Yelp
I visited Bludorn back during restaurant week. I was very exited to do so because I've heard a lot of wonderful things about this restaurant. They have a very small parking lot behind the restaurant. Unfortunately it was full when I arrived but valet is very reasonable, I think about $8 and they accept all the regular non cash options. We were very impressed by the look inside. It has a classy vibe but also inviting. The wait team was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about menu. We came for the HRW menu but we saw the oyster bar in the back and will definitely return later for that. The food was awesome. I had a refreshing salad topped with peaches and feta and a perfectly cooked medium steak accompanied by polenta and ratatouille. I love HRW because it gives me the opportunity to try more upscale restaurants, like Bludorn, without breaking the bank.

Yelp
My first visit to Bludorn, and definitely not my last. The restaurant is dimly lit, which creates a warm ambience. The restaurant is big, and has a small bar area. My family started our dinner with the bluefin tuna, roasted oysters, and smoked oysters. The tuna appetizer was slightly tart, which opened up our appetites. However, we thought the oysters could be more flavorful. We had a variety of dishes - Black Truffle Risotto, Short Rib Ravioli, Farro Verde Risotto with add on chicken, and Hanger Steak. The black truffle was shaved in front of us, which we wowed. All the entrees were cooked perfectly, and we thoroughly enjoyed them. We ended our meal with a Baked Alaska, and an assortment of ice cream. The Baked Alaska's preparation was cool, and we loved the dessert. We received great service today. All the staff were well trained, and we were impressed by the service standard. Valet parking is $8. Self-parking is available at the back of the restaurant, or street parking across the restaurant is available too.

Yelp
I went here for the Blu Bayou Dinner Series featuring Chef Rogelio Garcia. This was my first time at Bludorn and the service was great. Chef Aaron Bludorn stopped by to check in on us as well. Courses: - Tamarind agua - fresca | Mexcal, tamarind, agave - Ora king salmon | Citrus aguachile, cara cara orange, avocado mousse - Maitake mushroom tetela | Rancho gordo ayocote beans, salsa cruda, pickled jalapeños - Australian wagyu ribeye | Patatas bravas, broccoli, mole negro - Mexican churro | Mexican chocolate sauce - Chestnut cinco leches cake | Cajeta - Blood orange paletas Overall the food was good. The star was definitely the Australian wagyu ribeye. It was cooked perfectly and very tender. One of the best I've had. I definitely want to come back and try the food off of Bludorn's own menu.

Yelp
All I can say is wow! My fiancé surprised me with a birthday dinner at Bludorn, and from start to finish, the evening was handled with such care, elegance, and professionalism. Every detail was seamless, and the entire staff (from our waitress to the thoughtful hosts) made the experience truly stand out. We dined on a Tuesday evening, and the atmosphere struck a perfect balance of bustling and lively, yet still calm and refined. The space felt warm and elevated. We began with cocktails! A classic martini for him and the Basil Gimlet for me. That gimlet was easily one of the best cocktails I've ever had. The gin was balanced beautifully with a dry, herbal finish from the basil and just the right amount of citrus. I honestly can't wait to go back just for that drink. To start, we shared the crab bisque, which the kitchen kindly split into two bowls for us. The bisque was deeply flavorful and rich, and we'd both order it again without hesitation. We also tried the squash blossom, which was fried perfectly and fun to taste, though next time we may opt for something new. For entrées, we had the fresh pasta and the red snapper--both beautifully executed. Our server offered small pours of a few white wines to help us choose a pairing, which made the meal feel even more personal. We ended with the zeppole which were fried doughnuts that were unlike any I've had before. They were light, tender, and slightly crisp with a texture that was just incredible. And to top it all off, the team surprised us with a birthday dessert and a candle, which was such a thoughtful gesture. Bludorn exceeded expectations from top to bottom. It runs crisp but still feels personal and warm. I can't wait to return and highly (highly!) recommend for any night out in Houston.

Yelp
I took my fiance here for his birthday, and this place did not disappoint at all. Not only is the vibe great for a nice celebration dinner, t service is great, the server is attentive and gave us new plates after each dish. The food here is pretty good and highly recommend trying their oysters (they have 4 different kinds) and the ravioli. The parking here looks quite limited but luckily we got here before they opened and was able to park. Not sure if it would be difficult to find parking if we go later in the evening.

Yelp
Came here last Friday night. I could've sworn I had made a reservation, but couldn't find a confirmation email. Luckily, I checked Resy and snagged a 7:30 pm spot which was super lucky considering how popular and packed this place usually is. Funny enough, my boyfriend had tried to call and was told they were fully booked, even though there were several time slots available online. Not sure what was up with that. When we arrived, we were seated right away. Our server brought water and gave us a quick overview of the menu. We started with one of each oyster and the This Must Be The Place cocktail. The drink was amazing! Highly recommend if you're into tequila. The raw oysters were super fresh, and the fried and roasted ones were also great. The smoked oysters weren't for us, but I'm still glad we gave them a try. We also had the bluefin tuna to start. So fresh and tender it melted in your mouth. It came with a tiny bit of avocado cream that paired really well For entrees, we shared the smoked short rib ravioli in like a fig sauce and with blue cheese. WOW. Easily the best dish of the night. The short rib was so flavorful, and the smoky richness blended perfectly with the sauce. We also ordered the 8 oz sirloin, which came with a twice-baked potato and a side of creamed spinach. The steak was cooked and seasoned to perfection! Honestly one of the best I've had. The potato was fully loaded and plated beautifully. We also ordered a side of cremed spinach and they absolutely nailed it! Rich, creamy, and just a great complement to the steak. All in, our bill was around $210. We left stuffed and impressed by the food. A few other notes: valet is offered, but we found plenty of street parking around 7:30. The space is gorgeous! Open concept with a clear view into the kitchen which I love. Now, the one downside: the service. It just didn't stand out. The hosts didn't feel especially welcoming, and while our server was timely and got the job done, it felt bare minimum. No drink follow-up, no menu recommendations, nothing to elevate the experience. I'm probably more critical here since I've worked in the industry, but at this price point I expect better. Overall, the food lived up to the hype and then some. Not sure yet if I'll be back, but it's definitely a place that deserves the buzz at least for the food.

Yelp
Bludorn is an elegant dining spot in Houston, and my wife and I came here on a Friday evening with a reservation. We were able to find free street parking nearby, though they also offer valet. The restaurant layout is stylish: a lively bar to the left and a full dining room to the right with an open kitchen that gives you a glimpse of the action. We were seated promptly, and they brought out complimentary bread and butter to start. [APPETIZERS] +Oysters Everyway for $4/each - Smoked, chilis, and lemongrass - These were amazing. I never had an oyster that was smoked before. Their house-made hot sauce is excellent with these. - 5/5 +Bluefin Tuna for $24 - Ponzu, scallion, yuzu kosho, and avocado - The tuna was very fresh, but the sauce missed the mark for me. - 3.5/5 [PASTA & GRAINS] +Ravioli for $27 (half order) - Smoked short rib, red onion, fig, and blue cheese - A half order comes with 4 ravioli. The filling was good, but I thought the ravioli pasta would be better. - 3.5/5 [FEATURED STEAKS] +Hanger Steak for $51 (8 oz) - Served with twice baked potato and choice of sauce: bordelaise, bearnaise, or horseradish cream - I enjoyed the steak. I would opt not to use the sauce, as they use high-quality salt and pepper seasoning. - 4/5 [DESSERT] +Baked Alaska for $22 - Speculoos ice cream, chocolate, and graham cracker - This one comes with a "show" where they use high-proof rum, light it on fire, and drizzle the dessert to flame it. They happened to drizzle too much rum without letting it burn off, and the graham cracker absorbed all of the rum. When we went to take a bite, it felt like we were eating lighter fluid, and we had to spit it out. I questioned them what they used to light the dessert. Personally, this was good until we got to the graham cracker, but I would avoid this one due to that bad experience. - 2/5 Service was excellent--attentive, professional, and well-paced. They cleared plates, brought fresh utensils for each course, and kept our waters filled. After our issue with the dessert, the manager came over and kindly comped it, which we appreciated. Overall, we liked our experience at Bludorn.

Yelp
Overall I had an alright time at Bludorn. The service was very attentive - bordering too attentive - and the overall decor and furniture of the restaurant was very nice. When I say the service was too attentive, it was almost like we were constantly getting interrupted by the staff with valid questions/concerns but maybe there's an opportunity to place a rule that if youve gone to the table for a modification once already, wait 5 min before going back. OR be aware of the details for the dishes offered ahead of time. I got a cappuccino, steak and eggs, smoked oysters, khachapuri, and cheddar scallion biscuits. The biscuits were good but almost not salted enough and were served with a strawberry jam. I wish we could've opted for a different spread but this was all that was provided/offered. The khachpuri was a bit of a disappointment. It came highly recommended and even the waitress said she was glad we ordered it. But, I felt the cheeses used were lacking flavor and overall the dish needed more salt to enhance the experience and flavor. Smoked oysters were great I really enjoyed those. Steak and eggs were alright. The steak came medium rare, as requested, so that was a plus. But the dish had like a puddle of butter/oil at the bottom so it felt insanely greasy overall. I almost felt the need to dab my dish and wipe it up like a dominoes pizza. we went for my moms birthday celebration so she was happy to have a nice ambiance and they provided sips of champagne and dessert to celebrate which was very kind and appreciated.

Yelp
Nice dinner, great service, go for a special occasion. Greeted and seated immediately for an early reservation- cocktail and wine menu --sommelier greeted us and so did our waitress- staff all ready to serve you quickly. Hot rolls and herb butter was the opening to our meals. We enjoyed our short rib ravioli and double pork chops- done very nicely and not dry at all. All tasty due to reduction in juices and sauces. Valet parking but self parking in rear. Dimly lit but nice atmosphere. Open kitchen, can see all the chefs at work.

Yelp
I've been holding out on an updated review here for far too long. There are ALOT of absolutely fantastic restaurants in this city, but for me personally, Bludorn is easily one of my favorite. I've been here on multiple occasions for no reason at all other than wanting a great cocktail and dish to celebrating life events with friends and family's They really like you to order everything you want upfront and they will stage the delivery in a coordinated fashion. There are several staples on the menu at this point, the risotto, the redfish, the branzino, lobster chicken pot pie, the pork chop, and short rib ravioli - all delicious! The squash soup is great if you're looking for a nice soup in the winter months! The service, particularly at the bar, is absolutely fantastic. While the environment is a little more laid back at the bar to the restaurant or patio, I've found the service here to be the most consistent, fast, and knowledgable staff. The patio can be a little hit and miss while the restaurant dining area is consistent. As for the cost and value front, I find the value to be there from a quality perspective. Everything is just so fresh and beautifully prepared. The desserts are just so gooodddddd !!! At the end of the day, I recommend this place to just about anyone coming to town that want a great experience. Aaron is absolutely killing it and of all the concepts he's started, his namesake and this one has my vote!

Yelp
If I could give the food ten stars, I would! This place has popularity for a reason. The service is first class and very attentive. The ambiance is pretty loud so only go if you can tolerate bustling places. We shared the octopus as an appetizer and it was impeccable. The roasted oysters are superb. The red snapper entree is light and soulful at the same time. The dessert menu contains loose leaf teas we took advantage of. I can't wait to go back.

Yelp
We were extremely impressed with this restaurant. Parking was a little difficult and the free parking that they had was full so we had to park down the street. We had a reservation and they did make us wait a little bit of time which was kind of weird, but it was OK as we were just observing the bar area and seeing some plates come out. The restaurant is really nicely decorated. The vibes are high-end, but also casual. It doesn't feel stuffy. There's music playing, and you can hear the cooks and the chef which was really neat. We got to sit right by the kitchen and see all the plates come out. I really liked the visibility of the kitchen. The restaurant itself was a little loud with music playing in the background, so it was a little chaotic. Waiters were super friendly and helpful, and explained a lot of the menu. It was a little hard to hear them with so much noise in the space. The bathroom near the bar was really odd as the toilet was sunken into the ground. The big bathrooms in the restaurant area were beautiful and had lots of amenities. We went for Houston restaurant weeks but once we started seeing food come out we decided to order off the regular menu as the prices were fairly reasonable. We started with a split Kale Caesar salad. It was absolutely delicious. We were really happy that they were able to split it for us. That was very nice of them. Then for entrées, I got the hanger steak with a twice baked potato and Bernaise sauce and my husband got the hamburger with potato wedges. The potato wedges came with garlic aïoli, and they were by far the best potato wedges I have ever had in my life. We ended with dessert, which was also one of the best desserts I've ever had. It was like a Dubai chocolate brownie sundae with strawberry Jam and meringue, and it went really well with our dessert wine of Ruby Port. My husband also tried the coffee, which was really good. Overall, the pacing was great. The food was spectacular. The service was exceptional. We definitely really liked this restaurant. Suggestions would be to have it be a little less loud with maybe less music. And to have more parking available for clients.

Yelp
First time visiting Bludorn. We started with tasty drinks. I had the stirred strawberry margarita and my husband had the Toronto 66. Both were delicious. We had the shrimp cocktail for a starter and they also served yummy rolls with herb butter. I had the black truffle spaghetti and my husband had the filet with creamed horseradish. The pasta was incredible. My husband said the filet was cooked to perfection but it really had no flavor. For sides we had potato wedges and creamed spinach. They were both very yummy! We finished with the strawberry sundae and baked Alaska along with coffee and cappuccinos. Our waiter (Eddy) was very attentive and friendly. Beautiful restaurant!! Noise level was good. Only complaint for me was the bathrooms. Do like sharing bathrooms with men! I like to put my lipstick on without men staring at me! But with that said we will be back!

Yelp
Straight at the door amazing customer service! Amazing atmosphere, amazing food , and over and beyond service! Definitely marked down as one of my favorite restaurants. Will be back !

Yelp
It's in the Michelin Guide for a reason. Classic dishes, Great service, delicious food, I didn't love the smoked oysters, or the liver mousse included with the duck entree - but this may be my personal preference. I personally enjoyed Navy Blue and Bar Bludorn more, but this was a great experience. At times it felt a little like the movie The Menu, with the amount of times we were getting new silverware and switching plates - but again, this is probably a fine dining norm. Overall would go again for sure :)

Yelp
Service 10/10!! From the hostess to the owner everyone was pleasant. My friend typically meet up once a month for our girls night out and this restaurant did not disappoint. We were fortunate enough to be seated at the chef's booth. I loved being able to see into the open concept kitchen. The presentation of the food was simple, yet pleasing, and flavorful. Our waiter Daniel was pleasant and knowledgeable about the menu. I could go on and on about the Co-owner Sheriff. You can tell he loves food and is very personable. We tried several things on the menu and enjoyed all. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Blu Bayou Dinner Series featuring Chef Sarah Grueneberg The parade of dishes was an interesting journey through Italian cuisine a la Chef Grueneberg. My favorite dish of the night was the aglio e olio. My foodie friend said the meatballs were her favorite. However, to he honest, the rest of the dishes, were not memorable. We enjoyed them at the time, but when friends asked about the meal in the days that followed, I could only recall the pasta, and my friend only mentioned the meatballs. The dessert was delicious. Service was warm and wonderful throughout the evening, and the restaurant, itself offered attractive lighting in decor that is tasteful and comfortable, stylish yet unfussy.

Yelp
This was a spot I always wanted to try. I know it recently got a Michelin rating so I was even more excited to try it. Ambiance: Well my 1st impression when I walked in was just so different than I imaged. It was a much more casual & basic-vibe than i anticipated. Not saying that's negative just had a more elevated vibe expectation. I arrived 5 min early for my 7:30 pm reservation. The hostess said my table wasnt ready yet but they were going to squeeze me in as soon as it's ready. I thought that was really strange " To "squeeze me in". The wait at the bar was about 15 min & then we were seated. Service: Lots of staff attending to the table in addition to our server. Server did a great job going thru the entire menu in detail explaining what my husband could eat being lactose intolerant. She knew all the details of all the dishes & how they could be altered or not to accommodate his food allergy. A+ 5/5. Food: The 2 pieces of complementary bread served with herb butter & olive oil was very good, 5/5. The butternut squash soup. 5/5. Brazino. 4.5/5. Shrimp on top 4/5. Fair amount of balsamic-type sauce on fish. It added nice dimension. Side of red beets. Super tender. Pistachio on top. 4/5 Cocktails: The weakest link were the 2 cocktails. Ordered a This Must Be The Place (tequila drink) & hubby, a mezcal margarita (not on drink menu). They both were just ok. There really lacked any kind of depth or interest to them. 3/5. After dinner, husband ordered a Oaxaca Old Fashion which he thoroughly enjoyed but I don't think we should have to buy a $38 cocktail to get a great drink. Parking: GPS took us to the restaurant's back parking lot (which we didn't realize was not the front) where there were no parking spots & it took awhile to see the 1 valet attendant who happen to be retrieving a car to tell us valet is in front of the restaurant. A bit frustrating so go to the front! In conclusion. The food & service were very good. I read some of the other reviews & I can't quite figure out why my experience with drinks & ambiance were so different. I will try them again to get another data point. One last thought. I went to happy hour around the corner at a location right before dinner (TM) & they had fantastic drinks & a high energy upscale vibe. Although I assessed Bludorn on their own merits, perhaps that pre-dinner spot had some impact on my Bludorn perception.

Yelp
I Finally made it to Bludorn after they received much deserved publicity and was surprised at the experience. First, valet parking is highly recommended because self parking will be limited. The restaurant was very crowded and loud (which caught me off guard) especially the bar with patrons waiting to be seated. After a short wait, we were seated in the dining room where the volume did not go down very much but a conversation was still easy. The staff was very friendly, helpful, and working perfectly in tandem making service a pleasure. The food was excellent! We had the Duck, Branzino and shared beets and all came in generous portions. The duck was very tender with both breast and leg quarter served. Of course, we ordered some of our favorite dishes (regardless of the restaurant) and Bludorn did an excellent job of each. Overall, the experience was great although I had a pre-conceived idea of classic fine doing with a stuffy atmosphere. My surprises were all positive and the restaurant had no misses from my perspective.

Yelp
Food was really good. Octopus and Ravioli were fantastic. Steak was good too. Very expensive looking at over $300 for two people. Deserts surprisingly were not good at all. Cocktails were great.

Yelp
Came for a birthday dinner with a reservation. We were seated immediately. Various waitstaff served us by either taking our order, laying out utensils, bringing out the dishes, etc. and everyone was super kind. I opted for the fettucine as my entree. This may be a weird take but while it was decent when I ate it at the restaurant, it hit even better when I had it as leftovers the next day. Maybe because I added red pepper flakes on it at home? My friends had tried the ravioli, burger, and zucchini blossom - all getting positive reviews and commentary. We also tried the hazelnut tart, mango bombe, and vacherin for dessert as well as a bonus birthday cake slice. The hazelnut tart was quite dense but came with a side of ice cream that paired nicely with it. The chamomile flavor with the mango was definitely very interesting and added some nice depth to the dessert. The vacherin was my favorite, maybe because it was cold with the ice cream and felt more refreshing. The cake was a solid chocolate cake, not super dense but strong chocolate flavor. Overall their desserts surprised me with various textures and flavor profiles.

Yelp
First and definitely going back. Very good service, drinks and food. The dreams of Oaxaca drinks its a must. It does taste like champurado with alcohol. Love this place.

Yelp
Vibe: Good service, modern yet fancy vibe; definitely a place to dress up a little Food: Was pretty good I liked almost everything and it's a bit on the pricey side but worth it. Oysters- 10/10 Really good! Good variety as well. I recommend trying the Canadian ones they have a sweeter taste. Octopus- 10/10 Very good! The hummus and the charred octopus while still being fresh and well balanced in the flavor profile made it delicious. Drinks: Yuzu sour was really really good and the espresso martini was decent 10/10 Filet Mignon: 4/10 I ended up sending it back since it lacked seasoning and flavor even though I get it medium rare. It seemed over cooked and lacking. This place isn't a steakhouse but for the price I expected a lot better for the steak even with the wine sauce it didn't taste very good. Lobster Pot Pie: 10/10 Absolutely delicious and filling! Creamy yet not too rich and a hint of spice with a seafood flavor and creole elements. Branzino: 10/10 Really good! The sauce and all the elements go together soo well! Pear Panna Cotta: 8/10 This is my favorite dessert so I'm very critical of it, but it was pretty good still. The sorbet is amazing and the Panna cotta is light and fluffy. A little lacking in flavor and texture for the Panna cotta but still would recommend it for sure!

Yelp
I thought the service at Arrisans last night was bad but the bartender at Bluforn tonight proved me Wrong. Before he got me my first drink he served the people next to me 2 each. Then when I was empty it took him 20 minutes to ask if I wanted another. I should not have to ask you to sale me a drink or food.

Yelp
Amazing food. I got the crispsy duck, crudos, beef and a dessert I think the duck is one of the best duck I've had and I'd totally go back again

Yelp
This was honestly the fanciest restaurant I've ever been to and it was one of the coolest experiences ever. All the food was fabulous and it was so fun hearing the chef communicate with his team. We had baked Alaska for dessert and I could eat that every day for the rest of my life and die happy. Truly amazing. The ambiance was so romantic and everyone was dressed to the nines. Perfect place for a special date night or celebration!!

Yelp
This is one of the best restaurants I have been to in a very long time ! We were all pleasantly surprised on how good everything was. I had the NY steak medium with a side of asparagus and wedges everything was delicious and cooked to perfection . I tried 3 of their Belgium Beers and they were all great. They are doing it right!

Yelp
Bludorn is a Houston gem. You can valet out front or park in the back parking lot. We recently went for restaurant week and it was delicious. Bread service- yes. So fresh & salted butter. Crab fries were a special- they were cleaned claws with a delicious dipping sauce. You should always try the soup here- cold corn soup was very tasty. Salad was average. The salmon and pork loin were both cooked perfectly and amazing. Cheesy polenta was some of the best I've had. The pavlova was a cloud of perfection. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
Service was top-notch if you're looking to splurge a little bit and have a very good meal I would definitely recommend this place. My fiancé recommended this place from her Instagram post that she saw in addition American Express also rated this place top-notch extremely fancy but it's totally worth the money. Everything from service to atmosphere to the food was very well put together and tasted delicious. If you're not worried about cost, I would definitely recommend this place by far. The best restaurant that I've been to in Texas.

Yelp
Let me start with some parking logistics to make the beginning of your night easier .... Choose to valet in front of the restaurant on Taft or, turn onto Rhodes Place, the street directly behind Taft, and park in the small parking area behind Bludorn. Onto the bar.... you want to arrive before your reservation for plenty of time to order a drink with Eric at the bar. This bar tender's enthusiasm, knowledge, and craft is absolutely going to make your night! The Dilettante Julep is the most fantastic flavor profile! It starts as one flavor as you first sip but changes as the drink slowly rolls down your tongue. Trust me- ask Eric to make this cocktail for you and you'll wish you had sipped it before! Now the food.... Everything is scrumptious Well thought out menu with local sourcing and creative recipes. Loved everything we tried. The short rib ravioli, yummmm. Everything we tried was freshly cooked, fantastic aroma and flavor. I added some photos but truly- all was great. Bring your date, your family, or Client... it's that kind of neighborhood restaurant. And although i didn't try the Oysters; those around me that did made several comments they were fantastic!

Yelp
Why did it take me so long to come here?! The hype is real when it comes to Bludorn. With Michelin finally coming to Houston, I really believe Bludorn deserves a Michelin star. The food is well executed, the ambiance is classy here without being pretentious, and the service was top notch. Walking in, you can tell this restaurant is very refined down to the little details. There's a beautiful bar on 1 side and the main dining room on the other. We had a reservation for 2 right at 5pm when they opened so that we would make Dear Evan Hansen, the musical, on time at the nearby Theater Under the Stars. I forget the exact name of the cocktail, but the mango lassi inspired cocktail was phenomenal! They clarified it so it comes out clear which is really cool. For food, we split 1 HRW dinner set and 1 of their famous lobster pot pies. Every. Single. Bite. Was. Fantastic! I can see why there's a "cult" following for this lobster pot pie, the lime crème fraîche stirred in tableside really elevates this dish. And you can't go wrong with their HRW menu, it's such a great deal for this high quality food. That salmon is probably my favorite salmon dish in Houston. Don't sleep on their Parker house rolls too!!! Seriously some of the best bread I've ever had in Houston with their herb butter. I can't stop raving about our dinner here. I will 100% be coming back soon! I can't imagine how much busier this place will get when they earn their Michelin star. Next time, I wanna ask to sit at their raw bar, their oysters and crudo looked extremely fresh. Cheers!

Yelp
Such a great experience at Bludorn. I went with a large group, 7 people, for a birthday and we had a great time. The food was exciting and delicious. Our server was entertaining and kept the vibes up. Would certainly visit again and recommend it for special occasions.

Yelp
Came by on a Friday evening, made a resy ahead of time for outdoor seating. Got the maitake mushroom appetizer, risotto, and red fish. Loved all the dishes, especially the mushrooms and redfish. I did feel a little rushed as the courses came out quickly, but overall attentive service!

Yelp
Stopped by on the way home from work for a quick cocktail. The William Price espresso martini was amazing. Wish I had had time to eat while I was there. Will definitely be back for the next date night. I noticed they also had the limoncello, will get something with that next time.

Yelp
My experience at Bludorn was incredible. Overall, it is one of the best dining experiences I have ever had and it is on my list of best Houston restaurants. The service was phenomenal and the atmosphere was excellent. It is a perfect environment for a special occasion. The menu is well curated and we enjoyed everything we got. From oysters to a burger to a short rib ravioli, everything was a hit. We have already booked our next visit here and recommended it to multiple friends.

Yelp
This restaurant has been recommended to me by so many native Houstonians and I can see why. I would rank it among my top 3 upscale restaurants in Houston. My friends and I came here on a weekday for Houston Restaurant Week. Parking is scarce with only 4 or 5 spots in their lot and the rest is reserved for valet. Alternatively, you can find street parking on Taft Street. The service we received was commendable. Our servers were knowledgeable on the menu, provided great recommendations, and frequently checked in on us throughout the dinner service. The simplest gestures like folding our napkins while we got up to use the restroom left an impression on me and showed me their attention to detail. As for the food, we had so many great dishes, several of which were complementary such as the arancini bites and the rolls. The rolls were to die for especially with the her butter. I ordered the Lil' Lassi which was a refreshing and subtly sweet gin-based cocktail. Apart from HRW, we also tried a half portion of the short rib ravioli. This was one of my favorite dishes of the night. The HRW menu was three courses for $55. I ordered the chilled corn soup, Scottish salmon, and chocolate cake. I personally didn't care for the soup. The Scottish salmon was tender and I've never had such crispy salmon skin. The chocolate cake wasn't too sweet and it paired well with the salted caramel ice cream. It was a great finale to the meal but I was way too full to finish. I can't believe it took me this long to dine here but I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Sooooooo delicious! The salmon melts in your mouth and the lamb is to die for. But what set this place apart from the rest was the service. Each and every person who came up to our table was beyond fabulous. The staff took every chance they could to make our experience perfect, and it went a long way. We will 10000% be back. Until next time, Bludorn!

Yelp
Came for dinner with another couple on Friday night after not having been for quite some time. This reservation is still a hot ticket and we were happy to have a 7:30 reservation. After checking in at the front we got a cocktail at the bar while waiting for our friends to arrive and our table to be ready. Both the bar and the dining room were very well attended which made for a vibrant dinner scene while also not being too loud to hear each other. For dinner, two of us opted for the restaurant week menu while two did not. To start, we ordered the house made pasta with truffle for the table. TBH, it wasn't my favorite and I thought the garganelli with mushrooms was a more flavorful dish. I really enjoyed both the pork loin and the pavlova off the HRW menu but the dish of the night was absolutely the duck. It was insane. If getting duck is something that you would at all consider then you MUST get this duck. The breast was incredibly, melt in your mouth tender and the confit leg was crispy perfection. I straight up cannot recommend it enough. Service was attentive but leisurely, in a good way. We were never wondering where our food was but everything came out coursed evenly so we weren't rushed through the meal. Great restaurant to get dolled up for a night out with friends or a date.

Yelp
Food is always perfect--the taste, the presentation, the quality and quantity...I can't rave enough about it. The service is also amazing...the waiters and staff are welcoming, kind, and accommodating. They're always around to assist and answer any questions. Water and drinks were always filled. Tbh they need a raise! The ambiance is perfect for a romantic date. Everyone around us was dressed nicely and semi fancy. 10/10 food, vibes, service. Would definitely come back. Food: Squash blossoms--delicious. Definitely recommend! They remind me of avocado rolls from Cheesecake Factory but fancier LOL. Tomato tart--light and flaky pastry, Parmesan, basil, arugula def complement the tomato well. Branzino -- amazing. Def recommend!! Also not too heavy but def tasty and filling. Chicken-- delicious. Filling and flavorful! Potato wedges--perfectly seasoned and crispy. A must!

Yelp
Went back again for a date and it was much better than last time. Nothing was bland. Although the pork chop wasn't all that even tho the waiter recommended. Wish I went with something else. Everything else even the burger was great!

Yelp
Bludorn delivers on every level from ambiance and service to creative, high-end plates that surprise and satisfy. The space itself is stylish yet comfortable, with soft lighting, warm wood accents, and thoughtful seasonal decor. You immediately feel like you're in for something special. We started with one of their signature cocktails beautifully presented, tropical and balanced, with a hint of spice. From there, each dish felt like an event: The uni pasta was hands-down one of the best I've had rich, creamy, and perfectly offset by crispy garlic chips and fresh chives. The foie gras with crispy duck leg was indulgent in the best way, especially with the smoky notes and texture contrast. And of course, the star: Beef Wellington. Perfectly medium-rare, buttery puff pastry, and paired with earthy mushrooms and root vegetables. If you're a fan of this classic, this one sets the bar high. The pacing of the meal was perfect, and the staff was knowledgeable and attentive without hovering. You can tell this is a place that values both precision and hospitality. Whether you're celebrating a special occasion or just want to treat yourself, Bludorn feels like an experience not just a dinner. I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
My family went here to celebrate a couple of birthdays. To start, we were going to all have cocktails but they were out of a couple of their specialty cocktails that a couple of us were interested in. Two at our table had cocktails which were fine but be prepared to pay a big price for the speciality cocktails (at least $30). The bread that was served at the beginning was just ok. Actually looked and tasted store bought but I guess other reviewers really like them because of the seasoned butter that comes with it. On to the best parts. Prior to our food, we were all given a sampling of squash soup. It was very good! For appetizers we ordered the Maitake mushrooms and the Octopus. Both were excellent! (I failed to get photos of those.) For the main courses, we ordered the Short Rib Ravioli, the Duck, and the Hanger Steak. As sides we ordered the Crispy Potato Wedges and the Brussel Sprouts. The Short Rib Ravioli is good and very rich, but it is balanced nicely with the figs. I would have actually liked to have had more figs in the dish. Next time I will ask them if they can do that. The Duck was absolutely delicious! Two at our table ordered this and there was plenty for us all to try it. The sauce that was served with the duck complemented the flavor perfectly! The Hanger Steak was very flavorful and the twice baked potato that came with it was very good. The presentation of the potato was nice. As for our sides, the potato wedges were good but only one of us liked the Brussel sprouts. We would not recommend the Brussel sprouts. For dessert, we ordered the Baked Alaska and the Hazelnut Tart. Both were ever good! If there was a way to rate the restaurant as a 4.9, that is what I would have given it. However, the service did push the rating to a 5. The staff was very attentive, friendly, and accommodating to a dairy allergy. The Sommelier, Stevie, also did an excellent job! Having been to some Michelin starred restaurants in other countries, I'd speculate that the only thing that prevented Bludorn from getting a star is their plating. The service and food is definitely Michelin worthy!
