I was in Boulder City for the railroad museum, and I'd gotten up really early and hadn't had breakfast yet, so I was STARVING by around 11:15 a.m. when I arrived.
There was a huge group of 12 that was waiting to be seated, and the hostess was inside trying to arrange things, so I stood at the hostess stand for quite some time without being acknowledged -- which didn't set a great tone for the beginning of my experience.
But once that overwhelming bit was over, the hostess walked me to my table and even switched seats for me so I would be more comfortable (some of the seats are a little higher, more like barstools, and since I'm short, she got me one with a footrest). That was above and beyond, and I really appreciated it.
The food and drink came out very quickly and I was really impressed. I ordered the breakfast quesadilla with sausage -- and it was HUGE! It also was prepared with one of my top 3 flour tortillas I've ever had in my lifetime. The salsa was tomato-y and not spicy at all, but honestly I didn't need salsa and there's hot sauce on the table anyway. (Next time I might ask for some guac on the side though.)
I also really enjoyed the guitarist who was playing (this was during Sunday brunch), although I didn't catch his name. Lots of great musical selections of instrumental versions of tunes by Fleetwood Mac, Stevie Wonder, Chicago, soft rock of the late 70s, etc.
I wish I could've stayed and had some Dole Whip but I had a full day planned and had to be on my way.
Definitely noting as a favorite for the next time I'm in Boulder City!
