Quiche was good. I thought the best one was the bacon broccoli and cheddar. That was really really good. I had the spinach and pepper quiche and it was pretty good but hands down the bacon. Broccoli was the best their sides one had the potato salad which was pretty bland and the pasta salad was a tad bit on the balsamic side. Really didn't care for the sides but the quiches were really good.. The indoor part where you can eat is pretty small. It's more set up for outside patio dining and it's really nice.it is a tic on the $ side

Google
We decided to try to support a local business today… huge mistake…. A basic ham sandwich with some nasty soup and a wrap with little to no chicken with chips was $32 and the slice of quiche was $15 ….. staff was not friendly and were calling each other down in front of us …. Just save yourself the money and go somewhere else

Looking for a quick, quiet lunch with a fabulous outdoor area? This is THE place! The food was good. It's your normal lunch cafe food, and the service was ok, as well. It was a little awkward going in because it's not intuitive if you need to sit down or go to the counter to order (you do go to the counter), but the staff greeted us and it flowed very well after that. The highlight is exactly the name...the patio! It really sets the tone and atmosphere, and on a beautiful day, it's downright magical.

With an incredible selection of restaurants in Waynesville I just can’t see coming back to this one. This restaurant falls into this new mentality I see a lot of places having. They charge a similar rate to the restaurants around them and deliver an incredibly inferior product. I think the picture of my “Carolinian” sandwich speaks for itself. I can’t understand paying $10 for a sandwich that had 4 slices of ham, two slices of tomato, and two pieces of lettuce. The ham was essentially deli ham. You could tell it was sliced but the flavor was negligible. For the money I would much rather get a sandwich from Smokey Mountain Sub Shop. They make sure you get what you pay for. The Greek wrap had a little bit of chicken and a massive amount of lettuce. It was basically a side salad in a tortilla. The dressing was good. My girlfriend wished we had gone to Dough Boys to get a wrap instead. They were closed so we tried the patio bistro and we were disappointed. The place was busy and they were short staffed. No problem with that. They were doing their best and no issues there. You could tell the staff was on edge. The atmosphere is great and we sat outside while we waited for our take out. I would like to think this place is pretty good. It’s just not for us. If you’re a vegetarian or you are a retirement age white lady then I truly think you’ll love it. I just can’t get past the price I paid for what I received.

Google
I went there for first time today and will not return. At the order station, I asked ingredients of food item because I have severe allergies to food and was informed by woman taking order that item comes in bulk container. I asked about salad dressing and her response was salad is prepackaged with dressing. I stated I did not want anything, but I would think about it and walked back to the patio dining table. My fellow diner paid after I left and when he returned to the table, he commented on the price, adding he was not given a receipt. I went back to order counter and stated I told her I did not want anything but she charged for the sandwich. Instead of apologizing and refunding the money, she argued with me that I did order it. That dialogue repeated itself several times as she continued arguing with me. (Do not expect good customer service from her!) I gave up and asked for a salad that came with the sandwich. To top it off, I ordered a BLT and my entire sandwich had ONE slice of bacon.

Google
Prices are getting ridiculous and the menus have the wrong prices. Used to be one of my favorite places but I’m done with this place. As much as you are charging reprint your menus with proper pricing. If you are changing your prices weekly then you need better management. There are too many places that serve good food around this area to deal with their shenanigans

Sharon T.

Google
Food was subpar. On the roast beef sandwich that I ordered was old roast beef, one small tomato slice, a small piece of lettuce and barely there horseradish. Seriously disappointing. Woman taking order was unfriendly and abrupt. She does not give receipts, and by the time I realized I wasn't getting one, she had moved on to next customer in line. One young man was delivering food, which was the only service offered. I returned after a previous lunch experience (small wrap with little inside and a tiny kale salad). I live here and will never return. Why pay high price for low quality food and virtually no service.

Laura C.

Google
Love this little sandwich shop!! Made fresh to order. If you're a sweet tea drinker... Theirs is good! Inside and outside eating. Macaroni salad is good! The wraps are HUGE! Roast beef melt and turkey bacon melt are yummy!! The Greek wrap is super good! I haven't had anything there that I haven't liked!! Inside seating it a little tight but fine. Outside eating is private and quiet from the main Street. Order at the counter them they bring it to you.

Yelp
We came here for a quick light lunch. Depending on what you order it's a lot of food. I got the veggie sandwich with the side of kale salad. My option wasn't heavy. Others got the quiche and salad. That was a nice big portion. The balsamic vinaigrette was very tasty. Service was fast and friendly. The outside patio was lovely. It was a pretty nice day which worked out. There would not have been enough space for all of us inside as indoor seating is limited.

Mark H.

Yelp
First visit liked the fact that it was off the Main Street chaos had a nice outdoor space and food was fresh and tasty.

Yelp
One of my favorite spots in Waynesville! The Greek Wrap and the Reuben are my favorites. The sides (pasta salad, potato salad) are just okay, but the main dishes I've tried have been great. I like the casual, order-at-the-counter style, and the back patio is a perfect place to enjoy the weather and lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Shopping in Waynesville over the 4th of July holiday and we came across the Patio. Very nice outside dining area. Ruben sandwiches were delivered with a nice cold Corona promptly, even though the restaurant was packed to capacity. Nice portion - good value for the $$$$$. We would definitely come again.

Yelp
A great and wonderful find on the Main Street of Waynesville, NC! They have a sweet outside dining area that also allows pets. We were a party of five. Our waitress was simply perfect! Very attentive, friendly and helpful. The plates were all on time and hot. Their cheese grits were wonder! Eggs done in so many ways. It was a great breakfast!! It's a gem in Waynesville. I highly recommend it.

Yelp
First time here as we were on vac and stopped in here for lunch before we did some shopping . It's a small place and you order from the counter. What makes the place is their beautiful patio . The patio is where most of the tables are . Lots of flowers and decor. It was very busy . The food was good . No bar

William D S.

Yelp
Wonderful food, friendly and rapid service! Highly recommended! Great place for quiche, salad, wraps, etc.

Bennett C.

Yelp
Delicious food, fast service, and dog friendly patio atmosphere. Half soup & Sandwich has large and delicious portions. Definitely worth a try

Yelp
I am Thankful for the nice dog-friendly patio. The location is in a great spot. It has a great atmosphere & a variety of items on the menu. I've eaten here at least 5 times & each experience has been enjoyable. If you happen to have a dog with you then you can sit at the patio. They have water bowls available for your pooch. Don't forget they have homemade desserts too. We got a key lime pie to go & it was really good! I will keep patronizing this establishment because the staff are friendly & I know we will always be satisfied with our meal.

Yelp
Cute restaurant/deli off the Main Street of Waynesville. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. Overall, the food was good with a nice selection of sandwiches and salads. I will say, my chicken salad sandwich was severely under seasoned, but with the help of some salt and pepper, it was much better! What really wowed me about this restaurant is their outdoor courtyard area for dining. Very nice to sit outside on a warm day!
google avatar

Carole C.

Yelp
Tasty food served quickly. Nice patio ambiance with shade and space for dog owners to bring their pet.
google avatar

Patty H.

Yelp
Sweet outdoor ambiance and the food was fast and terrific. We both had a tuna salad Sammie for lunch. I didn't personally love the potato salad but I really only love my grandma's.
google avatar

Laura L.

Yelp
Love this place! Patio is adorable and the food is superb! The coconut cake was delicious!and the veggie wrap was too. Great for fur babies with lots of shade and pets welcome sign out front. Order inside and then they bring food out to you. Tiny bit of seating inside, if needed. Staff was knowledgeable about the food and was quick with recommendations when asked. Self serve drinks.

Diana H.

Yelp
Ambiance was perfection! I ordered the Buddha Bowl. It was wonderful! I wish I could wrap The Patio Bistro up and bring it home with me to Oregon.

Pam A.

Yelp
Food OK. Quaint patio dining. Went Tuesday, Taco day, and did not have corn tortillas only flour tortillas. Service at counter OK. It's OK not stellar as an experienced traveler. Will not return.
google avatar

Alicia B.

Yelp
This place has an awesome back patio so if you are looking for ambience this is your spot! The food was okay, nothing to write home about but also not horrible. I just wouldn't rave about the food. I would return again and give it another try.
google avatar

Catherine W.

Yelp
Loved that the owner came out and spoke to me about my options regarding our vegan sandwiches. The patio dining was incredibly beautiful and the atmosphere was relaxing among all the gorgeous flowers. I felt like I was in Europe. Charming environment, wonderful food and an attention to customers needs!
google avatar

Paul B.

Yelp
Nice little place to stop into for lunch. The patio is a nice shaded area to eat. Also has a nice variety of food. Plus the staff make this place fun.
google avatar

Julie W.

Yelp
Perfect lunch spot. We got the egg salad sandwich and the summer salad. Both were delicious and the service was quick and friendly. They have a nice outdoor dining area too.

Mimi D.

Yelp
Good for lunch, nice patio area good sandwiches. Just off Main Street in Waynesville makes a good location.
google avatar

Yelp
We stopped in for lunch! The patio was so beautiful and created the perfect environment for a relaxing meal even with two kids. The food was fresh and hot when it came out.

Yelp
Really good meal I had the Carolina half sandwich and one of their daily soups which is yellow split pea Msure you have mask on or you can't go in

Yelp
Looking for a lunch spot? Look no further because if you're reading this, you just found it! Just had lunch at the Patio and everything was incredible. Everything on the menu looks delicious, so much so that we ordered any and everything they recommended. We ordered the bacon, broccoli & cheddar homemade quiche, the black bean burger, Roast beef melt (with turkey added), homemade the chocolate layer cake, salted caramel cookie, lemon blueberry cookie and the chocolate chunk & pretzel cookie...AND key lime pie! I just want to note that all of this food was just for two of us- we wanted to try everything because we couldn't decide. We definitely took some to go since it was so much....and because we had to save some of this deliciousness for later. We're not locals so we wanted to take a little bit of the Patio back with us for the rest of our trip. Honestly, everything was delicious. I'm sure you could close your eyes and point at anything on the menu and you will not be disappointed. I also want to give a special shout-out to the staff for the exceptional service and overall experience. This cute bistro is so welcoming and a great place for all. The outdoor seating is intimate and cozy. We loved everything about it and can't wait to visit again when we return in October.

Bill M.

Yelp
If you love quiche The Patio Is the place for you. Seating is in a quaint garden space. Sandwiches and quiches are WONDERFUL. A great setting for a "drop-in" lunch!
google avatar

Donna O.

Yelp
The best salad you'll ever eat!! We love to dine here on beautiful days and sit on the patio and enjoy the ambiance.
google avatar

Anita M.

Yelp
Best Curry chicken salad sandwich I have ever had! The potato salad is divine! A must visit for lunch. Patio seating is restful and comfy.
google avatar

Sasha B.

Yelp
Hi quality tasty and fresh food at reasonable prices. Great place when you are looking for simple fare right off main street.
google avatar

Jan S.

Yelp
This restaurant was recommended by a neighbor for take out. We ordered online and we were told our food would be ready in 30 minutes. We arrived in 15 and our food was bagged and ready. Hot sandwiches were cold and soggy. No one in the restaurant had a mask. No kitchen staff, cashier. There were 4 customers standing around, no social distancing, no masks in a very small area. I had enough respect to wear a mask to pick up my order. Too bad this little restaurant doesn't respect the safety of its customers. I would give them a break on the food , it was ok but will not return because of their lack of respect for their customers.

Mark B.

Yelp
Great food and atmosphere. The service was quick and easy there were so many items to choose from on the menus.
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
Went here for lunch as we had not eaten here before. The place was clean and staff were nice. I had the roast beef sandwich and my husband had the chicken salad. Both were ok at best. We had the pasta salad and potato salad. Pasta was not bad but the potato salad was really bad. It had absolutely no flavor. The chocolate tort was the only reason I did not give this 2 stars. The overall rating of 4.5 stars is not a true representation of the food.
google avatar

Matt C.

Yelp
Very good place for lunch if you want a quick bite of some good homemade food. I had the Mediterranean wrap with potato salad and my wife had the Buddha bowl. Wrap was awesome with a really good balsamic vinaigrette but the potato salad was a little dry for my taste. My wife really liked her bowl and since she is vegan it was nice to have an option. The only bad thing about the place was while we were there the staff was cooking something and it was making our eyes burn for some reason. Might need some better vent fans. But other than that very good food and wonderful service.
google avatar

Melody W.

Yelp
Great food and the perfect place for the pup too! Nice spot for sitting outside and enjoying the pretty weather.
google avatar

Deb S.

Yelp
Love the Patio. They make everything there and it is delicious. In the summer, the back is a haven to enjoy, with tables around the patio, surrounded by flowers. Delicious.
google avatar

Stanley M.

Yelp
Spectacular menu of treats to eat! Not only do they have great sandwiches, but, they have homemade Key Lime Pie ( and 1/2 dozen others). Did I mention they also have gigantic cookies, including short bread and oatmeal raisin! I just ordered the butternut squash soup which is out of this world! There outdoor dining allows you to bring your pet and sit under large umbrellas or a pergola or in the sun, your choice. Definitely a place to put on your lunch and brunch list.
google avatar

Wendy M.

Yelp
So much potential, but unfriendly staff, unavailable menu items and mediocre food make the odds of any of us returning slim to none.
google avatar

Ron R.

Yelp
Excellent lunch offerings with amazingly good sandwiches. The outdoor eating area is a very nice place to dine in good weather. If you are in downtown Waynesville and you are hungry for lunch this is one of the best places to go.
google avatar

Kim D.

Yelp
Atmosphere is very nice sitting in the patio. But the food is average. The potato salad was bland. The sandwiches are average. The cookie was not tasty and bland. The restaurant should be converted to a night time wine and tapas to take advantage of the lovely patio.
google avatar

Ken O.

Yelp
Truly home cooking with a smile. By far this place is my favorite lunch /breakfast restaurant in Waynesville. The quiche is beyond delicious. It will make your smile with joy. There is Always several different types of quiches to select from and you can taste the love that goes into them. The food is consistently excellent. The soup selections are always on the mark and homemade. I would eat here every morning if I still lived in Waynesville. The staff are friendly and accommodating. I will we had food like this in Scottsdale, Az. I truly miss southern home cooking. On your first visit ORDER THE QUICHE. You won't be sorry. Sorry I took no pics I devoured the quiche faster than my camera's shutter speed. Thanks Patio Bistro you always Brightened my day with your excellent food.
google avatar

Shannon B.

Yelp
Stopped in again over the summer. Spent the day in Waynesville and always enjoy this great spot. I had a good roast beef and pasta salad.

Lilly B.

Yelp
If the owner wasn't so rude to the employees this would be a better establishment. Walked in to what me and my family thought was going to be a good experience, instead we witnessed horrible behavior from what looked like the owner to one of her employees running food. The food was mediocre at best as well, definitely can make it all at home for half the price. Treat people with kindness, and kindness will flow back to you!!!!
google avatar

Beth G.

Yelp
Quaint little spot in down town. Great menu caters to Adkins diet and gluten free! I had the Chicken Fajita Wrap and added avocado to it. It was delicious and came with a good serving of fresh fruit. It's like a guilt free lunch to me! I also got the crustless quiche to go can't wait to try it, it looks fabulous. Thank you for lunch!
google avatar

Marilyn C.

Yelp
Since it is early on a cold Saturday morning in the mountains, I decided to try The Patio for lunch... and it was very good! I had the Atkins Salad plate... chicken, tuna and egg salad on a bed of lettuce and I added tomatoes... very tasty! Cute deli with patio seating in front and more on the back patio. Very reasonable for Waynesville. I'll be back with hubby!

Michael C.

Yelp
My wife and I ordered our meals and went to the patio to wait for them to bring it out. The man who delivered our food was clearly sick. Holding the plates high near his face, he coughed directly into our food with visible droplets spewing onto our meal. After he left, the tables around us said "You aren't going to eat that are you?" I immediately went inside and obtained a refund. While doing this I observed the cook as well as the man who served us, coughing badly into all the food being prepared. So disappointed! Worst health code violation I have ever seen.

G H.

Yelp
Had a great lunch. There are vegan options. Nice tables on the courtyard/patio. Love the fact that music wasn't playing on the patio. . .just sounds of nature. Would come back
google avatar

Laura L.

Yelp
Fresh, homemade, nutritious, and delicious. They have everything you need for a great lunch including, soup, salad, wraps, sandwiches, quiche and desserts. Highly recommend the quiche and soups. Patio is great on a sunny day. Friendly, locally and worth the try.

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Delicious! Had the hummus wrap (hummus, kalmata olives, feta, onions, parmesan cheese and lettuce) with a side of pasta. One of the soups of the day was vegetable cabbage so of course had to have a cup. The wrap was filling! Fresh ingredients. Clean and cute atmosphere. Sat outside, such a cozy place! Staff was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend. Will definitely come back when I visit again.
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
Amazing fresh food made daily! Got the quiche and the side salad (pictured) and I was not disappointed. Love supporting this locally owned restaurant! Have gone back since and you can't go wrong with anything on the menu. Think Panera but more inspired!!!

Yelp
Nice outside seating area, hence the name. They have a great selection and good portion sizes. We went as a group of six. Five of our meals came out and were almost completely consumed before we were able to get our sixth order. We went inside twice asking for the missing meal after seeing the people behind us in line, a large family, being served their entire order. After retrieving the meal ourselves, a server brings out the same meal minutes later. Not sure what the mix up was, but the wait for a grilled cheese and cup of soup was unacceptably long. Other than that, service was polite and well priced.
