I recently made a short drive down to Encinitas during the San Diego Restaurant week to try The Patio on 101. At first, I fell in love with the ambiance, but then it was the food. They are known for their cheese and charcuterie boards, and I could see why. The meat came beautifully presented, and the cheese was super tasty. If you're in the mood for something a lighter to start your meal, I recommend the ahi tacos. For the main course, I had the trout. The fish tasted as if it has just been caught that morning, and it had a great flavor profile. My daughter enjoyed the way her chicken came, in a decorative pan. The half chicken was paired with potatoes lemon and arugula. They saved the best part for last - the dessert. You can't leave here without have the Twisted Elvis. I am generally not one for sweet desserts, and I couldn't stop enjoying the delicious flavors of this unique dessert. The Patio on 101 is just a short drive from the ocean so you can have a walk on the beach before coming in for dinner.

I liked the Chopped Salad, even though it wasn't really chopped. My kids said the pancakes and the chicken fingers & fries were good. I was told the Farmers Market skillet was just okay. The Patio Breakfast looked pretty good. The place is really cute. I love all the wood. The server was friendly, helpful and efficient.

First time leaving a negative review as I always support small business - tried 3 times now assuming each time were “off nights”. Food quality and service is not to the level it should be. Cocktail menu decent but that’s about it. Tip - better personalities of servers, focus on better locals fresh food option. Fish tacos were horrific given where we live.

Food was decent but way over priced. Small portions with generally unremarkable recipes. Even the cocktails were more ice than cocktail. Salty burger, same size as in-n-out, for almost $20 doesn't make sense.

Quality of food was poor. My daughter’s chicken nuggets were nothing but fried grizzle and “chewy pieces.” Service was slow. This place gets a “Meh,” at best.

Awesome location right off the 101 with a parking lot! Food and drinks are amazing, with plenty of options for both! The seating and ambience are beautiful, and off the street which is great on a busy weekend. We’ll be back for sure🤙🏾

The Patio has quality dishes with great variety. I went with my family and everyone loved their food. The servers were fantastic.

I have been to other The Patio restaurants and I can't say that this one was my favorite. Food was good, service was poor and I didn't care for the atmosphere. Food is the reason for 3 starts
