"If you’re craving a juicy burger with all the fixings, the Paddy Shack is your go-to spot at Mammoth. Choose from a variety of burgers, including the Yee Haw Smash Burger, which combines a beef patty with cheese, BBQ sauce, onion rings, and caramelized onion. In addition to its creative milkshake flavors like tiramisu and salted caramel, they also offer a couple of boozy options. Mountain Mint, a concoction made with vanilla vodka, creme de menthe, crushed Oreos, and vanilla ice cream, is our favorite. The throwback 80s ski movie decor adds to the ambiance. photo credit: Meagan Lindsey photo credit: Meagan Lindsey" - Danielle Bauter

Google
Excellent burgers, tots and fries! Yes the prices are a little high but it’s literally located at the Village for a ski resort so I’m not sure what people expect. The quality was better than Shake Shack and the portions were great. We can’t wait to come back on our next trip to Mammoth!

Google
This burger is better than burgers. I think this is the best burger I have had in mammoth. I got the classic which is a double smash burger and it was really good; juicy, nice balance of toppings, not too much sauce, very balanced. I also got the "loaded tots" and those left a little to be desired. I think the cheese really needs to be broiled and melted on the tots and maybe some sauce added. I did ask them for ranch and they gave me a packet which made the loaded tots way better! I think the tots have potential but they are what brought the review down to 4 stars. We also met the general manager and him and all the other staff were very kind 😄

Google
Yummy smash burgers, cool atmosphere, delicious dessert quality shakes. Prices are what they are given the Mammoth comparison. Everyone shocked by the price needs to get a grip. Yum- definitely would recommend!

Jess

Google
Mediocre at best. Fries were waaay over cooked. Milkshake was like chocolate milk! My grilled onions were slimy and cold! Burger was more like sloppy Joe minus the sauce!! How do you eat a burger with crumbled meat falling out!!!!?? $60 for 2 burgers, 2 fries, 1 drink, and 1 shake! Would not go back! How a

Google
Got the classic burger with truffle fries. It was absolutely delicious! Next time I’ll have to try out the milkshakes. If you like In and Out then you’ll love this place. Only the burger is juicier, thicker and cheesier!

Ulrike

Google
The burger was good but the fries were wayyy too salty and they also had such a different taste that I’m wondering what kind of oil they used to fry them in. Def not happy about the overly salted fries, ketchup did not help and I couldn’t finish them. 🤷🏼‍♀️

Ivon Buriel

Google
Good hole in the wall when you just want a plain burger and fries. I also got the loaded tots which were dry but nothing down ketchup couldn’t help. They have very clean outdoor setup that accommodated my child’s stroller and pup. Burger was excellent! Only downfall is they didn’t have any soft drinks when we visited. In any case would highly recommend for good old fashioned comfort food.

Google
We ordered 2 burgers and 1 fries. After waiting for 15 minutes (only 3-4 other customers where there at the moment) we got our burgers but still had to wait for the fries. We finished our burgers and the drinks, still no fries. We finally left without getting the fries after beeing in there for like 25-30minutes. Wouldnt go there again.

Yelp
Greatest restaurant for the Super Bowl, best place to enjoy food and watch the game. Best milkshakes ever. Didn't leave a crumb.

Andrew G.

Yelp
Food was great! No complaints service was excellent too very nice people who work here.

Jorine C.

Yelp
Went here on a holiday weekend and it was empty. The food was ok but not worth the price and they nickel and dime you. They charge 0.75 cents for lettuce and 0.75 cents for tomato's. Seems ridiculous that the standard burger doesn't include these things . Burgers across the street is a much better burger and value . The shakes were not great either . The only good thing is that we got a table easily on a holiday weekend.

Steve S.

Yelp
I picked up my meal and have to say it was a real challenge to find a parking spot that was kind of Nerby. Fries were dry and small, and the burger had the taste of freezer burn. YUCK! Too expensive and I will never eat there again. You honestly can get a better burger at the local fast-food place.

Colleen M.

Yelp
I have seen this spot change restaurants 4 times. And I was surprised when a burger place came in literally across the street and down the road a bit from the Mammoth staple of Burgers Restaurant. But, I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered a smash cheeseburger and a can of lager beer. I paid $26 including tax and tip. I ordered at the register. Overall, I was very UNDERWHELMED at the size of the burger and the price I paid. VERY OVERPRICED. The burger was small and it was a classic burger that seemed to be trying to be like In and Out. And the bun was dry. I will not return. Burgers across the street has better burgers, table service, and amazing employees. To comment on the ambience was updated and in a modern retro style.

Yelp
We recently stayed at the Village condos, and decided to head downstairs to pick up a quick dinner at Patty Shack. Unfortunately, the entire family was disappointed. They are asking gourmet prices for sub par underwhelming quality. Nothing tasted fresh, most likely frozen, and they gave one in our party the wrong order. Since the Village advertised that they deliver to Village guest rooms, we made a quick call to ask if they could send up the correct order. The response received was something along the lines of "oh no, we don't deliver." Overall experience was rather disappointing, and we anticipate they won't last long.

Jackie J.

Yelp
Tasted like a bad amusement Park Burger. Service isn't very good, feels like you're in a cubicle and all these guys with dumb mammoth name tags and Tj Maxx looking jackets walking around. Wouldn't come here again

Benjamin A.

Yelp
Amazing Burgers. Overall Such a great service , everyone is very kind . They come around from time to time and ask how can they be of assistance . Ben was very kind! Will definitely come back .

Rostam Z.

Yelp
I don't think this place will last and I honestly hope it doesn't. Prices are ridiculous and the food isn't even mediocre, it sucks. The burger tastes like a McDonald's cheeseburger at best. Don't even bother asking for anything to be added unless you're willing to payyyy. $2 extra for grilled onions to be added to my $14 burger and there were maybe 2 strands of onions total. $4 fries are served soggy and overly salted. Oh, we ordered the $6 "loaded" tater tots and they didn't put any of the bacon bits. Everything is served loose in a paper bag, even if you're dining in. I guess it makes it easy to throw this bust of a meal in the trash quickly. The service is good and the portions for the fries and tater tots were large so they at least have that going for themselves.

Ryan R.

Yelp
This place won't last. Ridiculous prices ($15) for a tiny burger half the size of fast food. A drink? $5 more. Fries? Not included. Another $5. So, $25 for a meal where the burger is about the size of a McDonald's cheeseburger. It took forever to get the burger and when I did, it was practically cold. Go to Burgers. Bigger/better burgers, better prices, better service. The spiked milkshakes here are good, but it's not going to save this place. This is yet another place for people that like to pretend that Mammoth is Aspen... just with a way worse lodge. Establishments like this are what make Mammoth a joke.

Trevor R.

Yelp
Went to the one at the village and completely regretted it. To be fair, the food tastes good. Everything else was a bad experience. High prices for small burgers, smaller than fast food joints and they don't even come with fries. After tip, which I regret leaving, my order was $40. My brother and I ordered the same burger, the single patty mushroom Swiss. I ordered seasoned fries and a shake, he ordered loaded tots. His burger came out 30 minutes after mine and he still had to wait longer for his tots. When he got them the cheese wasn't even melted on top. That's more of a nit-pick but we were reasonably disappointed and upset after he had waited over 30 minutes for them. I was waiting for him but my food got cold so I ate it while he kept waiting The staff seemed like they didn't know what they were doing. It was a major disappointment and we couldn't enjoy our food because of it. Just go to the burger joint across the street from the village with the sports bar, or just go to Carl's Jr. You'll have a better experience AND get better value for your money

Erica G.

Yelp
Food was incredible. Ate here 2 times this trip. So so so good! The loaded Tater tots . The onion rings with the spicy aioli! The truffle fries ! The milkshakes . Everything came out in good time & THE BEST service. Everyone was so patient and fast all while dealing with the rush. The table next to us had an issue with their order but the manager came out the second he heard it and handled it immediately himself. Loved to see it! Tons of seating with comfy booths and chairs , booster seats for kids . So happy there's a good burger spot in the village! Love that they kept the menu short and sweet with amazing options. Love it here ! Will be dreaming of the veggie burger.

Kathleen R.

Yelp
Hands down the place to have a great juicy burger at a more reasonable price! The portions are large enough to share including the burgers. The only drawback is the food is served in paper bags. But that keeps the cost down. We and our friends enjoyed the burgers and were able to get in and out in a reasonable time. It was early so I see dinner and lunch very busy. Shakes are amazing and loved the loaded tater tots - a must! You'll love it way more than that other over priced burger place in town!! Limited alcohol but they do have it. We'll be back!

Ryan S.

Yelp
The most accurate comparison to the workers at patty shack would be the dmv sloths from Zootopia. There were maybe 3 people in front of me, and I ordered a side of fries and tots. Took over 20 minutes and watched as a friend of the cook came in ordered a full meal and got it within 5 minutes. I wish I could take back my tip. The food was extremely mediocre. I'd rather eat trash can leftovers from the New York deli.

Amber W.

Yelp
The food is awesome! We had double smash cheeseburgers, fries, and onion rings and everything was great! People, if you love Mono Cone in Lee Vining you will enjoy this. Such friendly staff, too! 5-stars, highly recommended! Special thanks to the staff member that brought my dogs a piece of bacon as we sat in the car while my husband went in to order. You made my day - then your excellent food just sealed the deal. We live here in Mammoth and will be recommending you to everyone we know!!! Keep up the great work!

Anna B.

Yelp
1 star is generous. Food was cold, fries were stale, service was poor. And all that for a double what it should have cost

Jackson C.

Yelp
The food was not worth the monstrous price and while the ambience was nice the price for quality of food was preposterous

Krystle S.

Yelp
Tried this place for the first time today. Spacious and clean restaurant. I got the veggie burger which is a portobello burger. It was really good but the bun was super dry . Would love to see the option for an Impossible smash burger also. Tater tots were really salty, had to brush them off. $22 for a portobello burger and side of tots is a bit high but it's Mammoth Mountain so not unexpected. Looking forward to trying the boozy milkshakes another day. Staff is really friendly

Jason H.

Yelp
$19 for a TINY burger combo, slightly bigger than a McDonald's burger. Places like this are why people don't actually spend time in the Village, price gouging at every turn. Imagine a family of four, you're going to spend almost $80, which is nuts.

Brandon V.

Yelp
Heard there was a new burger place at the village, so the family excited to try it. We frequently visit mammoth, so always looking for new spots to eat. Very cool aesthetics walking in. Staff were awesome and super friendly which is why I gave it 2 stars. The food however was sub par. No kids menu, so you are stuck buying adult burgers...which for a family of 4 with sides and drinks came to over 90 dollars. Burgers are sub par, Kids wouldn't even eat them. They were Under seasoned and tasted the same as the quick grab burgers we would find at the food court on the slopes. You Definitely will find better food almost anywhere else in the village. Hope they improve the product so it doesn't seem like such a tourist trap

Themanwhoate E.

Yelp
Mostly empty on a Thursday night.... the food was shocking. I know when I visit mammoth the standards are low when it comes to cuisine. We visit every summer... but this was horrendous. I didn't expect it to be skadi or even the now shuttered petras but wow...

Stephanie H.

Yelp
Best burger in mammoth now! Very much like mono cone burgers, if you know you know. The fries were not the best, a little floppy and not super salty. The chocolate milkshake is okay, not a lot of flavor more dairy. But in the cutest cow cup!! Service was phenomenal, everyone is so nice. Ben is great! Classic 80s ski movie feel and great vibes all around. Can't wait to try it after a night out ;)

Jon R.

Yelp
Delicious burgers, and loaded tots that are pure perfection. And super friendly people. Perfect post hike/bike/ski food. Your cheat day should be spent here.

JP F.

Yelp
The BEST SMASH BURGER, in Mammoth, hands down the very best! Cooked to perfection. Great service and very friendly staff.

Jonas C.

Yelp
service was ok but when the food got there everything changed. The food came out mangled and looked like someone stuck there finger through it. After that i built up the corage to try the burger so i took a bite. when i took the bite i knew something was weird and looked down at the burger and it was completely raw in the middle with worm shaped things. I am going to start a campaign that i need everyone to sign so we can get the patty shack at the village closed down for good.

Albert R.

Yelp
Family of 4 for $85 2of the 4 burgers were made properly. Burgers were good but the fries were half cooked and no seasoning. BTW, that was just for 1 drink. We won't be going here again. They also don't trust their own employees so they are now cashless.

Sandy A.

Yelp
Stopped in after skiing. Had a really great double classic burger and fries. Couldn't resist the chocolate shake when I saw they're made with real ice cream and the old-fashioned mixer. Perfect shake! Drinkable with the straw but still thick. Topped with whipped cream and chocolate sauce! Attentive staff too. We'll definitely be back

Cynthia G.

Yelp
Loved this place! The burgers and fries were delicious! Friendly workers and clean. The milk shakes are delicious. They even have adult shakes :) yes a little pricey but it's a sign of the times... I'd say it's worth it!

PJ J.

Yelp
Food wasn't very good. Bathroom dirty. Service not that great. Tater tots were basically microwaved frozen tots.

Cat S.

Yelp
GET A NEW MANAGER ASAP 4/15 2pm Manager BEN is a MESS. The daytime manager we came across is going to implode this place realllllly fast. The front service girl on Monday 4/15 is an atrocity. Absolutely rude. The Cooks did absolutely amazing...FOOD WAS GREAT! AND cooks are great. SERVICE IS ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!

Shannen M.

Yelp
Burgers were fair. Great flavor. The mushroom swiss burger was our favorite. Not a fan of the french fries, but the onion rings tasted fresh. With only about a dozen items on the menu, they were out of the Tiramisu shake. We ordered the pretzel caramel shake and it was quality ingredients but the flavor was only meh! There were so many employees (about 10) and we were the only customers. Helps understand why 2 burgers with fries and one shared shake equaled almost $70 (without tip). I will stick with The Eatery whose Damn Good Burger is the best in town. Toomey's World Famous Burger is right up there as well.

Larry H.

Yelp
Go here for a really good burger but with a few reservations. It is pricey as expected at a resort. The portabello burger was great, but...it is not plant based. Brioche and aoli have egg. Make a little effort and I'll return.

Corey H.

Yelp
Great food even better service. Anyone going to mammoth i would definitely recommend this place as it has a great nostalgic feeling. Amazing ambiance.

Kevin S.

Yelp
Excessively overpriced mediocre food. Single small cheese burger and fries $20! Friendly service but very few customers on an otherwise busy evening. Will not be a return customer.

Charles B.

Yelp
Great fries and onion rings and incredible looking smash burgers, I'm vegetarian so I had the portobello mushroom burger. Not good.... I told the manager to add beyond burger for vegetarians. We won't go again until they do (my wife might but with out me)

Mr W.

Yelp
Much to my dismay the food was extremely under whelming. For $16 dollars you only get the burger . And it's nothing special. Carl's Jr makes better food for a fraction of the cost. I know you're in the Village but damn !! At least add fries for the $16. For that price I'd expect about 1/2 lb or more burger . Lady at the counter was very kind . You're not going to be in business long unless you give people what they're paying for .

Jesse L.

Yelp
EXTREMELY OVERPRICED AND UNDERWHELMING. Price gouging at its finest. $16-19 shakes...$100 for burgers fries and shakes for 2 people and the fries were cold and order was wrong. Go across the street to Burgers and you get to actually get delicious fresh food and stellar service for less money and support local instead of the machine that is the tourist trap at The Village. Tried it twice both times super underwhelmed and shaking my head at the prices.

Joey D.

Yelp
Food was mediocre at best, food was way over priced and tasted worse than McDonald's. They're served in paper bags so my fries and burger were so soggy by the time I started eating them and I was dining in. My meal was $32 dollars for a cheeseburger, fries and a shake, I wouldn't have minded paying that if the food was actually good. I don't think this place will last, reason I stopped by was cause all the other places near by had a long wait and this place was empty.

Shellie T.

Yelp
We went to the Patty Shack tonight at 8:30p and ordered loaded tots and a burger. The burger was just meh lacking flavor and American cheese. The tots were tossed in a bag. They were luke warm to cold. The "melted" cheese was clearly tossed on top straight from the fridge. We will try again hoping this was just an off night.

Nixon R.

Yelp
burger was mediocre and fries tasted like c team McDonalds fries, could drink the milkshake without a straw because it was straight milk. Plus ridiculous price for the terrible food.

Ariel S.

Yelp
We stopped at the Patty Shack for dinner after a long day in the sun. This hit the spot. We ordered several burgers including the Bacon Mushroom burger and a milkshake. The service was amazing. The staff checked in on us multiple times and were so friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Nvani K.

Yelp
My friend, her niece and I walked in today around 5pm for burgers here while my friend's husband was getting pizza from next door. We ordered about $100 of food, which is a little ridiculous but anyways...she ordered food from here for her husband as well. As we sat down at a table, her husband and child came in with the pizza. A young lady sitting with her laptop warned us that we cannot have outside food at the restaurant. I said that we ordered food for them too. She still told us it's their policy. So we kindly asked the gentleman at the register, who was a very nice person, to pack up our food to go since we were not allowed to dine in with food from another restaurant. I'm not sure if this young lady was a manager, but as we walked out she uttered the word "perfect" to another employee. Basically, us leaving was perfect for her. My friend almost walked back inside to let her know how rude she is, but didn't want to stoop to her level. We have never felt so disrespected and unwanted EVER! If she was the manager, she is setting a very bad example for everyone that works there. This place is trash because of this girl. We will never return. This girl's attitude is terrible for your business. Classless.

Ba M.

Yelp
Really good burgers! We all loved it...first time here but we will come back. We did the classic burgers and truffle fries.

Scott L.

Yelp
Expensive burger that is just ok. $16 burger that is not even close to being worth $6. Tried the regular fries and were not great as well. I don't expect this place to last very long. Much better burgers for the same price at Mammoth brewing.

Steven G.

Yelp
Fire burgers and truffle fries! My new favorite spot in Mammoth. The manager Ben is awesome and provided my family with amazing service.

Jeremy R.

Yelp
One of the best burgers we've had in a very long time. Tastes like a cross between In-N-Out and smashburger. Truffle fries and onion rings were also great. Will definitely be going back.

Carol H.

Yelp
A absolute must place to eat if your craving a delicious burger! Onions rings are so fresh and tasty too! Wait staff is so polite and welcoming too! See you again soon!

Chirs P B.

Yelp
Great food, lots of fries, service was great. The setting and vibe of the restaurant was also spectacular. Milkshakes were very good.

Ray H.

Yelp
I brought my three young kids here because they did not want anything from the restaurant next door, that my wife and I ordered salads from -(Pita Pit). We bought three burgers and spent over $45 at Patty Shack. When my wife walked in with our food from next door, they told our family we could not eat here because we had outside food. I asked them what are we supposed to do and they told us we could eat outside (in the cold). I told them it was ridiculous that after spending money at their business that we could not eat there. I also asked, "Are my kids supposed to eat in here while my wife and I sit outside?" To top it off, the place only had one other customer at the time. All tables were available. It was empty. We will never return to Patty Shack. They treated us very rudely.
