A Running List of the Best New Restaurant Openings in New Orleans | Eater New Orleans

"A new dessert destination on St. Claude Avenue, I saw Peach Cobbler Factory serving a dozen cobbler varieties plus banana pudding, cinnamon rolls, coffee, and flavored milks from founders Tami and Juan Edgerton, who grew the business from a 2013 Nashville food truck into multiple brick-and-mortar locations." - Clair Lorell

Google
The ice cream was not good quality. It tasted watered down, almost like frozen ice that had been in the freezer too long. The chocolate chip cookie was yummy but a little too sweet for my taste. The strawberry peach flavor was not it, and I honestly wasn’t a fan. The banana pudding was good. The location itself didn’t match what they sell and didn’t give that fun, sweet vibe. Definitely overpriced for the portion and quality.

Google
I really enjoyed the peach cobbler and ice cream. It was extremely tasty. I was nervous with the reviews I read but I was pleasantly surprised. I also ordered the banana pudding but would not recommend it at all. I wanted to like it though but nope it wasn’t good.

I wanted to try this spot out before leaving town the next day and was hugely disappointed. I had already ordered when my husband asked me to check the reviews. The place doesn’t seem to be 100% ready on the inside, as if there’s still work to be done with painting or staging the interior. When you walk in no one greets you and there is no obvious area as to where you should order. I thought I had to scan the QR code, which is set out everywhere, and order from there. On to the desserts I ordered: The peach cobbler gets a 7/10 from me; some of the peaches had a crunch to them, indicating they weren’t cooked as thoroughly as I would have liked. The banana pudding was the absolute worst, definitely a 0/10. It’s one of my favorite dessert dishes and I’m okay when others use the instant mix as long as it’s done right. My dish had a total of 3-5 wafters, no bananas whatsoever and the consistency of the mix wasn’t appealing. I’d suggest that if you’re a fan of this dish to stay far away from ordering it from here. Too bad there’s no money back guarantee…

Google
My mother had the banana pudding and said it tasted like pudding out of the can. It was a very small portion for $4. She threw it away so I would not recommend. My niece had the ice cream with Oreos and said it was good. My sister had the red velvet ice cream and said it was good. The ice cream was $2.79 so not bad for pricing on that.

Google
We have always wanted to try The Peach Cobbler Factory and finally got an opportunity. The blackberry cobbler that we had was very good and enjoyable. All of the other treats on display looked equally good. The atmosphere is good but could stand a bit of picking up and straightening up. The service was friendly and prompt and overall good.

Google
I got the banana pudding but didn't enjoy it. It has a jelly consistency, EXTREMELY SWEET, and taste like it wasn't made from scratch. I wouldn't recommend the pudding!

Jennifer S.

Google
The cups were the wrong size. Very disappointing. Unable to reach anyone over the phone. It tells you to press one and it gives you a dial tone. For $10 it wasn’t worth a 4 oz cup

Google
I sent a message on the website last week and have not received a response as of yet. I visited the New Orleans branch on Tuesday September 9, 2025. I brought three cobblers, one for me, one for my daughter, and one for my co-worker. I didn't open it until much later when I got to work after a few hours. I opened it and it immediately looked wrong. It was all mushed together. I tasted it and knew immediately it was not good. It tasted old. It looked old. it was not flaky. It was as if it was old, mushy, nasty and mixed all together and reused. It was absolutely disgusting. I have been to the Baton Rouge branch several times and I know exactly what it should taste like. It was disgusting, and not edible. I am highly disappointed and upset that I paid for something that was disgusting and I could not eat. I have been bragging about the establishment, but I did not know they were not all the same. I was fooled! I am deeply upset! I will never visit the New Orleans store again, because I do not like wasting money!

Yelp
It's actually crazy that I've never heard good things about this place but this is why you have to try things for yourself! I loved my cobbler! I got the cinnamon pecan praline or something like that. It was too good! My mom got the banana pudding and it was pretty good too! The service wasn't the best because there was no one at the front counter for a few minutes when we walked in and it's not the cutest spot but baby that cobbler was good to me!

B C.

Yelp
The people are so nice This is a nice little spot for any date night Strawberry peach cobbler, cinnamon peach praline and a vanilla butterfinger cookie Omg it's so worth it! This deserves a 100 star rating p Stay Peachy!

Yelp
We were ridding around and decided to stop and grab some sweet treats. I enjoyed the peach cobbler and sweet potato crunch. My boyfriend really enjoyed the Oreo cookie. I'm really not a cookie person. The service was quick and the cobbler was hot and served with ice cream when we received it. The place was empty and cute we took pictures in front their cute preachy sign.
google avatar

Britt S.

Yelp
So much fun! Grab some friend and enjoy this sweet treat. Personally we enjoyed the banana puddings more than the cobbler. Just get whatever sounds good and be sure to sign the wall.
google avatar

Greg A.

Yelp
A different twist to banana pudding. The strawberry banana pudding was tasty and rich and flavor . A must try . It's a block away from Morrows check them out .
google avatar

Yelp
Don't waste your time. Tried to order online but transaction wouldn't go through so we went in to order. Cashier literally belched while taking our order and the other worker was sitting at the bar counter. Took about 20 minutes for our order to come up. We were told after ordering that the type of brownie we ordered wasn't available. Cobblers were so so, tasted like super market cobbler, nothing special. There weren't any other customers there so it was pretty quiet. Inside was clean and had a nice neon sign.

Yelp
I love cobblers! All fruit cobblers, I do not discriminate! What I love about the Peach Cobbler Factory is the option to add more crust. I prefer more crust than fruit filling with a touch of ice cream and they delivered just that. We had the mango peach cobbler and the caramel apple cobbler both with vanilla ice cream. The surprising part was we ordered via DoorDash and it came fresh! Each had the perfect level of sweet yet fresh bite of fruit to crust ratio. And the ice cream was the perfect accompaniment.

Yelp
Went here while on vacation. I ordered the classic banana pudding and the peach cobbler. They both were good but I enjoyed the cobbler better. It was warm and served with ice. The banana pudding tasted like instant pudding the cookies were soft and no bananas were in there. The pudding tasted like vanilla pudding not banana. I would definitely come back to order some of the other cobblers. The service was fast .

Lee P.

Yelp
Went in to buy some cookies. They said there were no cookies. Hmmm. Coulda sworn there was a tray of cookies sitting right there, but you know... if you don't wanna sell us cookies, then alright.

Yelp
After visiting Morrow's for breakfast, we noticed this place and decided to get dessert. I figured they would have banana pudding, which they did. The lady at the counter was friendly and welcoming. I placed my order and paid-- I was provided a number and you are given a number and they will deliver the order to your table. My banana pudding was very good and I was pleased here. Along with various types of Banana Pudding and Peach Cobbler, they offer ice cream. Overall, I was very pleased with the food and the service here and would return if I'm back in the city.

Yelp
DELICIOUS! Yes with all CAPS. I have visited Peach Cobbler Factory twice and have been impressed both times. My first trip was for the soft opening. I arrived later than I wanted to and most items were no longer available. I was able to get the sweet potato and pecan cobbler and Oreo banana pudding. The sweet potato cobbler was very rich, so if you really like SWEET this one is for you. The Oreo banana pudding rocked my taste buds. It is my current favorite on their menu. For my second trip, I took my daughter. She ordered the blackberry cobbler and a sweet potato stuffed cinnamon roll. I had the peach cobbler. Once again I was doing my happy dance. Definitely support this business people.

Yelp
Listen run don't walk to this establishment! This was one of the tastiest and savory dessert shops I've been to in New Orleans. I was skeptical about going because not many people can actually make cobbler or banana pudding like most southerners do. Welp I was surprised and glad to experience this delicious treat. I went for the traditional options this time. I chose the regular peach cobbler with ice cream and the banana pudding. The flavors were there and I can't wait to try the other flavors. I had the pleasure of meeting the owners and the person working the counter who were all super friendly and helpful. They seem passionate about giving a good customer experience to each person who comes in. I felt welcomed and so ready to try more things once I return!

Yelp
What a fun new business and soooooo many choices. Order at the counter and find a seat, they'll bring it right to you and it's nice and warm. I tried the blackberry peach with a scoop of vanilla on the side and a peachy peach tea. Everything thing is packaged ready to go, just in case you need to take some home. I didn't this time and just found a seat and gobbled it all down. The next day, yep I took a friend who was visiting. I tried the cherry. I loved it just the same. Perfect amount of pastry and cobbler. I adored seeing so many families come in and share time together. Air conditioning and ample seating makes this the perfect summer respite.

Yelp
This place never disappoints! I love the sweet potato cobbler! Staff is prompt and friendly! Decor is cute and modern, fun vibe!
google avatar

Yelp
A delicious combination of sweet potatoes and cobbler equal a magical desert with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. The southern warm flavor of sweet potatoes on thanksgiving carefully paired with the crunchiness of cinnamon brown sugar and nuts covered with cream vanilla ice cream !!!! A true must try
google avatar

Janine M.

Yelp
Delicous peach cobblers and an array of different flavors. I tried the cinnamon praline peach cobbler and it was very good. It comes with a small scoop of ice cream. My companion had nutella cinnamon roll and a side of ice cream. They also offer five different flavors of banana pudding. The business recently opened and hopefully it stays because I really enjoyed it. The employees were friendly and happily answered questions to help us decide on what to order. We easily found street parking on the side street but there was also available parking on St. Claude. Head on over and enjoy yourself!
google avatar

Yelp
My second visit completely erased the 1st. This time I received my cobbler in the dine in cup instead of the to go. The portion was very generous too. The blackberry cobbler was pure perfection. Just the ring amount of crust and fruit and the ice cream on the side was the best way to enjoy. The service was good too. Very friendly and helpful in explaining the options. I will definitely be returning.

Yelp
I ordered some treats from here for my mom in NOLA through UberEats & she couldn't stop saying how delicious everything was. I got her the banana pudding and the cherry pie. She said the pie was still piping hot when it arrived. the crust was flaky and a great topper for the hot sweet cherry filling which was so good! Super yum and will be ordering again! Just saw they have a DC location and WILL be hitting this up!!
google avatar

Kimberly J.

Yelp
Cool concept. Interesting and fun cobbler flavors with the option to a la mode it! I tried a berry variety. It's was served hot but friendly staff. The crust was a little gooey and the fruit ratio wasn't as balanced as I would prefer but it was a comforting dessert. I would go back to try a bread pudding variety!
google avatar

J L.

Yelp
Love love love the pecan cobbler. It's a little different than expected, no really in a bad way but just different.
google avatar

Jasmine S.

Yelp
If you're ever in the area please stop by. Stopped by today for a sweet treat & baby let me tell you it did not DISAPPOINT !! The staff was friendly, I maybe waited 6min in line. The cinnamon roll was amazing the vanilla icecream on it sealed the deal. Highly recommend 10/10
google avatar

Natalie C.

Yelp
Very cute place with nice decor Service was quick and the employees were very nice. We ordered the oreo banana pudding and the Cinnamon peach parline cobbler (picture). Everything was delicious.

Teedy H.

Yelp
Cobbler is good but service is lacking....no greeting, even when spoken to. The restrooms need attention, but the phones seemed to be more important. Please tell the young lady it's ok to smile at customers and speak.
google avatar

Bernard J.

Yelp
This was on my list of places I've been wanting to try. I'm a sucker for desserts and this place saw me coming from a mile away. This was every bit worth the wait! I dared to be different and tried something different from the traditional Peach Cobbler. I went for the Sweet Potato Pecan Cobbler with Ice cream and it was everything that I though it would be. It taste like all of my favorite flavors in a cup. The warm cobbler and cold ice cream had me pulling over to HELL with waiting til I get home! To get to the point, go to this place you will not be disappointed. 10/10 would recommend.
google avatar

Jakia N.

Yelp
Woah! The service here was top notch and the desserts are amazing. First of all every single person I encountered here was friendly. That matters a lot when I decided whether or not I'll revisit a restaurant. I decided to order the peach cobbler since it's in the name of the restaurant. While I waited for my order to be ready I mentioned that I had a hard time choosing between the peach cobbler and the red velvet banana pudding. So they offered me a sample of the red velvet banana pudding. Omg it was amazing. I've never had anything like it and I'll definitely get that when I go back. I got my peach cobbler and it was also really good. It came with a side of ice cream. There's so much more I want to try here. Can't wait to go back.
google avatar

Siobhan L.

Yelp
I would definitely recommend if you want a sweet treat !! The sweet potato is so yummy & not over powering in terms of sweetness !! The host was so sweet & the vanilla bean ice cream comes with each cup which I think is a generous touch!!
google avatar

Greg M.

Yelp
What better day than Valentines Day to treat your sweetheart to peach cobbler? Skipped dessert at our dinner restaurant to try PCF for the first time. The store was empty when we walked in. Great service, but not the most inviting atmosphere for dining in, which prompted me to order our dessert to-go. The peach cobbler itself was awesome. The peaches and filling were both amazing. Very sweet with a hint of caramel. The vanilla ice cream was delicious, as well. The one part I felt could have been better was the actual cobbler, or crust. It wasn't the crunchy granola type I'm accustomed to, but rather more like a pie crust, a slightly soggy one at that. But not soggy enough to keep me away from all the yumminess on top of it!
google avatar

Ella A.

Yelp
I stopped in on a Saturday to try the banana pudding. It's pretty pricey banana pudding for the size you get. It's not my personal taste in banana pudding - it was banana flavored pudding, not vanilla pudding with bananas. I would not visit again.
google avatar

Shalon P.

Yelp
Run! Don't walk!! This was warm peach cobbler with LOTS of crust served with ice cream! Served by friendly folks. There's several different flavors as well as some non-cobbler options. It's definitely worth a stop if you're in the mood for dessert. And there's ample seating inside for you and your friends

N D.

Yelp
Great customer service and a wide variety of flavors to choose from. My favorite was the sweet potato peach cobbler. We also had the caramel apple and original. I like extra crust and you can purchase more if you like. But be aware that the crust is addictive! It's more of a crunchy/crumble texture than gooey like typically baked peach cobbler crust. In my opinion it was a perfect combination/topping. The banana pudding was on point too! If you like nanna pudding this is for you! They hold the bananas which is what I prefer. The inside was clean and the seating area was perfect for large gatherings. I don't try the cookies but they looked delicious! I'll definitely return whenever I'm in town.

Anthony L.

Yelp
Great cobbler you will love it 10 thumbs up! The flavors they offer for the cobbler is fantastic you will love the flavors! The strawberry and peach was great!

Laura D.

Yelp
All I can say is WOW! We stumbled upon this place while walking around and what a treat it was! We got the blackberry peach cobbler with ice cream and it was possibly the most delicious cobbler I've ever tasted?! Cannot overstate how great it is. Go!!!
google avatar

Ron T.

Yelp
The peach cobbler is great. Please stop by and try them out. There are other choices and all are just as delicious.
google avatar

Jennifer R.

Yelp
The Peach cobbler was flavorful. We had the banana pudding when it just opened a couple of months ago. It was okay. It was the atmosphere with loud rap music playing that discouraged us from dining in. Fortunately, we made our way across the Street to Baby's and had the best Cafe Latte to go with our Peach Cobbler. We sat outside and enjoyed the wonderful weather and treats.

Alan D.

Yelp
TERRIBLE FOOD Hard to do, but they messed up peach cobbler & ice cream. Microwaved cheap cobbler served in plastic container with lid it arrived in. Cheapest possible vanilla ice cream, served too hard in styrofoam cup.
google avatar

Laroya D.

Yelp
Went here on Mardi Gras and i will say that I am not impressed at all! The place still looks like it's under construction on the inside. Same thing another customer said 21 months ago. Not to mention the service! It was two people and it took forever to make and get our order! 1 cup of cobbler! Now the cobbler itself was okay but not worth 8 bucks. I probably won't try it again
google avatar

Anniese H.

Yelp
I ordered the cheesecake pudding. It was awful. Do not recommend at all my husband, had a cinnamon roll. It was pretty good but not the best service was great.
google avatar

Kristan Jane B.

Yelp
So yummy! The staff was really nice, helpful and quick! Great peach cobbler and great atmosphere. Loved the music!
google avatar

Meka A.

Yelp
Banana pudding was fabulous 5/5. Cinnamon praline peach cobbler pretty good 4/5. Plenty of Friday afternoon street parking. Friendly service.
google avatar

Kenyetta R.

Yelp
Omg! I love this place! This was first time and I'll be back! The seating area was really cozy! I didn't get the young man's name who took my order but he was a big help with helping my sister and I pick out flavors and get the best value for our buck! He was really nice and funny! We got the sampler pack and don't sleep, it was a lot!!! Everything was delicious

Adriana B.

Yelp
Peach Cobbler?? This is really just overly seasoned with cinnamon. It's a peach pie. No crumbles or actual cobbler. Just pie crust. I don't really care that they changed the container because they still fill it all the way, but it's just not good anymore. The only thing good is the ice cream. The patti labelle cobbler at Walmart is better or any frozen cobbler for that matter. Save your money. I was so disappointed because they were really good when they first opened, but it's fine I just won't go back

Najah M.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. It never fails. I try something new every time. The ice cream is definitely a great addition to any cobbler.
google avatar

Jay C.

Yelp
We had the peach cobbler and the sweet potato pecan with ice cream! Both were great! Very sweet and the warmth of the pie combined with the cold of the cream created a magical moment!
google avatar

Christopher W.

Yelp
New dessert joint open in St. Claude. The cobbler is good but not great. I got the half peach and half apple and I thought it was ok but was a little on the bland side. They give you good portions and a big scoop of ice cream but was missing cinnamon definitely.
google avatar

Sonya N.

Yelp
It's new. They just opened. Based on the line and those waiting, I'm in for a treat. Things to know you should be able to order online from the website soon. They thought it was working but I shared it had not worked for me. There is a dine in option however, a few things could be added to make the option appealing. There are several varieties of cobbler to chose from and it comes with ice cream (on the side for to go orders). People are waiting in line like IYKYK, so we will see. I ordered the traditional peach cobbler, ice cream on the side, and the OG Banana Pudding. They also serve beverages and giant cinnamon rolls. If you have a sweet tooth this may be your go to apI'll add a part 2 once I've sampled the wares. Pt. 2 Ok the peach cobbler was fresh. I'd probably add cinnamon but that is me. The banana pudding was delicious. Yes there will be trips back to try the others. There will also be a new gym membership to match.

Vanessa M.

Yelp
Cobbler was way too sweet. Service was great. Pretty empty business for a Saturday afternoon.
google avatar

Kristin C.

Yelp
The peach cobbler here is definitely the BEST I have ever had! The two gentleman working, Talon & Banny, were super cool, friendly and made great recommendations . Cool little atmosphere with chalk writing around the counters and a bit of funky neon lights. Got a couple massive cookies to go too! Def recommend trying this spot out!
google avatar

Jonathan P.

Yelp
Heard about this place from a friend's Facebook page. I liked it so much I went back a SECOND day. I grew up having coconut cake, sweet potato pie, and Cobbler. I've read of few ratings that give the place low marks because the crust isn't crispy. This is true BUT I like it this way as well. My cherry and apple cobblers I had were doughy but not undercooked. I feel the $8 is reasonable for the portion of food you get.
google avatar

Terrance B.

Yelp
First time here the cobbler was ok needs to be sweet very friendly staff clean inside, but the sweet tea I will come back just for the tea I wish they sold it by the gallon
