Old dusty western cowboy vibes -in all the best ways! The bartender was friendly and cool to talk to. Drinks were made expertly. And overall a peaceful place to sit and take a load off. Just wish they had a drink menu of not just standard drinks. I want the pearls unique drinks!

We loved this little bar! The bartender Reuben, was awesome! They had a good selection of beers, including craft beers. We were each able to find a beer we hadn't tried yet. They also had some good whisky's so had to end with an angel's envy! Service was great and it was very clean and cozy! Wish we lived closer.

Wow ! What a great bar with an amazing atmosphere. We were greeted quick and made to feel right at home by Reuben. The beer was ice cold and hope to be back soon enough.

The decoration makes this old building looks fresh and vibrant. The wood floors looks original, combined with fresh white paint on the walls and high ceilings . The wall behind decoration are a mix of traditional Texas artifacts and modern art, the combination looks great! My favorite part in the place is the long wood bar. Behind it, Ruben, the bar tender. He is super efficient and friendly. He takes care of everybody. Many of the customers are locals and he knows everybody. But even if you are not local he makes you feel welcome!. We are planning come back some Friday when there is live music night. Local artist come and perform. I heard this event it is worth it!

The Pearl---just 23 miles from South Austin---is worth a visit to Lockhart all by itself. It's an atmospheric blues bar with home-on-the-range decor and the friendliest bartender you'll ever meet. Try Reuben's craft cocktail with his homemade lavender syrup. All the drinks at affordable prices. We got to hear Austin blues legend W C Clark, who plays there often. This is a very special place.

Charming place with amazing staff and delicious cocktails. The ambiance is amazing and I have to return when they have music.

Having traveled from our home to this town, we had checked into our inn and now wanted some refreshments and mirth. We happened upon a bar that had a teller of comicdic stories and his helper and thought this to be perfect. The name of said bar was The Pearl and the storyteller a Mr. Daryl Felsberg. We ordered our alcohol. My wife and traveling companion got me a white chocolate Martini, it came with a pearl and a cherry. and I got her a cocktail called Emily Morgan. Both were very good. The service was friendly but only two people running the whole thing and one was the owner or manager who was mostly the greeter. She was friendly but the main bartender was doing most of the work and while impressive I felt sort of bad for him. The set up is you can sit at the bar, then there is a walkway all in a line from the door. When you enter bar is on your right. To the left are tables of various sizes. Right in front of the stage is a table with two comfy chairs. Right past the bar is a small seating nook with comfy chairs. Not a bad overall setup. Bathrooms are through another set of doors. No food but there is a popular pizza place nearby and you can bring that in to eat. The comics were both funny. We bought a CD and T-Shirt from the main guy. The one thing that did go wrong was the stage lighting. It just randomly would switch colors, brightness, sometimes turn off completely. This was their first comedy show there but they have live music so not sure what happened. You got your own water from a glass dispenser which was not the only place that did this. It was a pretty popular option. We also had a shot of peanut butter whiskey. The overall price wasn't bad. It was a nice place, they had live music coming after the comic but we had other plans. This was our only visit to The Pearl on this trip but it was a pleasant rest stop for weary traveller's in need of quenching our thirst and merriment.

This place was nice. It was a little crowded, but had a very calm crowd. I felt like you can sit down with a drink and actually have a relaxing time. There's another bar off the square that feels like more of a crappy college bar. It's loud and douchy. I liked this one though... I recommend.

Cool little hole in the wall with awesome prices and top notch customer service. I'm glad I stumbled upon this gem, especially on an evening when they had live music!

The Mexican Martini is great to share or by yourself. My favorite is the Manhattan by head bartender Ruben. Ronda Reagan the owner sat down with us and chatted about her Longhorn herd. Nice people and good music

We stopped by the Pearl for a pre-party cocktail, yea that's how we roll. The Pearl is a cool lounge on the main drag in Lockhart. As others have noted Ruben greeted us as regulars as we sat down at the bar. There is a good selection of beer and Ruben will mix you a righteous cocktail. On Sat a blues band was setting up but we had to leave before they played. Need a snack to accompany your cocktail how about a jar of chicharróns. I know where we'll be visiting on our next BBQ run to Lockhart, with Ruben and the guys at the Pearl.

The Pearl has been my drinking stop with its great atmosphere, music and always enjoy my favorite whiskey for over 5 years and always include one for the bartender and usually a generous tip for Reuben. Recently lost a loved one and per the bartender forget my drink bill and took care of it at a later time. Not really pleased with how this was handled and never did see the bill and will not tolerate being treated like a convict especially when drinking the ranger. Reuben probably needs a salary bump and a few days to relax so he can treat loyal patrons differently.

I am a local and have tried going into The Pearl multiple times. Maybe Rubén used to be great, but his attitude is absolutely insane and he drives business away. Last night HE (not the owner) decided to close at 10 (on a Saturday) when the hours said they were open until 12. We walked in happy to provide our business (a group of 10), and he said, "You can have one drink. I'll serve you since you are here. I was happier when I thought I was going home." We turned around and went to Old Pal where they were HAPPY to have us. There's a reason that Ruben is the only employee. I'm sure that no one can deal with his mood swings. Get someone else to man the bar- someone who is consistently nice- or all your business will go to the other, much friendlier places in town. There are too many great options in Lockhart (now) to think that a grouchy, rude bartender will continue to keep patrons coming back.

Can not say enough good things about Reuben (the bartender). Great guy, super friendly and makes a mean Mexican Martini!!!!!! Great environment. Can't wait to come back!!! I heard he makes a great Bloody Mary too!

Ronda and her right hand man Rueben have created a well needed lounge style atmosphere in the heart of Lockhart with The Pearl! I entered and was immediately greeted by Ruben the amazing bartender, with an even more amazing voice that settles you from the moment you walk in with an old friendship style greeting. I was then introduced to the proprietor Rhonda who was beyond pleasant, and gave us the 411 on the new & old Lockhart. A definite revisit, especially that I now know there's live music on Fridays!

We popped into the Pearl based on other yelp reviews and felt like we walked into our hometown bar. The bartender Reuben greeted us warmly and did everything he could to make us feel welcome. They had about 30 different beers in the cooler and Reuben whipped up some great craft cocktails. We didn't know that it was open mic night but we stayed and listened to some local musicians give it there best. A great place!

We visited the PEARL after fine BBQ at Smitty's. Service from Reuben and other staff was superb. The drinks were outstanding, I had a couple of the grapefruit jalapeno margaritas and wish I had one now. Plan to visit again on our next trip to the area.

We went in for a couple of drinks and met the bartender Ruben. We had a great time as he had some great stories about the area and was very cool to visit with. The drinks were excellent and we look forward to visiting again soon!

I have never been to a bar in Lockhart but I will travel again for Austin to visit The Pearl. The atmosphere is great. Awesome live music on the weekends and the bartenders are phenomenal! Ruben and Tristan make you feel like you've know them forever. I would recommend this spot to anyone visiting Lockhart.

This is a gem in our small town. Love the decor and everything about this place. Definitely recommend to anyone looking to relax have a drink in a clean and unique atmosphere.

We have been here twice and both times we had just an awesome time. Ruben the bartender knows how to make a drink the way you request it good and stiff. We will go back many more times believe me. Sure beats the heck out of having to drive to Austin for a full bar when you " A Pearl" here.

The Pearl is a great quaint little bar where you can have a quality cocktail and an enjoyable conversation with Ruben the bartender. The drinks are a little pricey for Lockhart, but worth every penny!

This is a great comfi atmosphere with delicious drinks!!! My go to place every time I'm in Texas. Being from Los Angeles I just love the place with Ronda and Ruben!!!

Great for Lockhart to have this little slice of hip, but the beer selection is dreadful. With all the fabulous Texas beer available, why would you carry Bud, Coors, Miller Lite? HEB brands....Maybe the proprietor will get a hint and get some good beer in stock. I can't imagine my Austin friends drinking here otherwise. Props for the cool remodel.

What a treat...... One you must experience, again & again! It's beautiful, classy, and inviting. Sure to be a premier destination just off the lovely Lockhart Square.

This is a great little gem of a place! Ruben is truly an amazing bartender and treats you as if you were an old friend! Ronda the owner is absolutely wonderful! The atmosphere here is terrific and inviting! The drinks are always perfect! Ruben is great at remembering you when you come in and is a great conversationalist! You will not be disappointed here!

I was super impressed with the renovation done on this place. Its tasteful and inviting atmosphere is a first for a full service bar in Lockhart. The old original wooden bar and barback were beautifully maintained but everything else is brand new and sparkling clean. The bartender is welcoming and will make any drink you name and a couple of his own concoctions. Of course they have beer/wine too. There are no TVs or other distractions, so you can actually just sit and relax and enjoy your company. I'm so glad there's finally a nice comfortable full service bar in Lockhart to enjoy. Just down the street from Black's BBQ, this is definitely a place to check out while you're in Lockhart.

Drove up to the bar just before closing time and was greeted with a loud voice singing to his iPod. Was served and entertained at the same time. For a small time bar a great atmosphere and attitude. If I am anywhere around Lockhart again this is top of my list. Only I will remember to arrive a little earlier.

Finally! Ronda has brought the perfect pearl to Lockhart. This wonderful cocktail bar, a mere stroll from the square, offers excellent drinks (even a few new ones created by the friendly, efficient, and fun Julian who manages and tends the bar), beer and wine, enjoyable music which allows conversation with friends, a relaxing and charming décor, and the perfect place for recharging after work, celebrating weekends, and relaxing before, during and after the many events which take place in Lockhart nowadays. The renovation of this lovely old building is worth your visit, just to enjoy the attractive mix of old and new.

I have long wanted a nice cocktail bar in Lockhart where I could meet friends after work or on the weekend. Driving to Austin was a pain. Enter The Pearl! Ronda has done an amazing job renovating the historic building and creating a friendly, relaxed ambiance. And manager/bartender Julian is friendly and loves creating new and delicious drinks. Some of us have already set a weekly girls' happy hour day/time. Plus I suspect I'll be by there more than the girls' gathering. Can't wait for the cool foods Ronda will be adding to the offerings.
