If you’re coming out of Humboldt Park, Penny Ice Creamery is the stop you didn’t know you needed. It’s a quick hop off the road and absolutely worth it. The ice cream is rich, creamy, and honestly some of the best I’ve had in Northern California.

I had the Bourbon Peach with the Bitter Caramel with toasted almonds...it felt like little meal. I love savory so this combo was perfect. Friendly service as well.

This ice cream is just not good. It is icy and lacks flavor. The only redeeming quality was the marshmallow fluff as it covered up for the lack of flavor in the ice cream. It is over priced and not good. Save your money. Youre better off going to a Baskin Robbins or a Coldstone.

I am not sure how I end up at one of their locations every time I am in the area. Perhaps it has to do with it being a local store with ice cream and toppings that are unique and delicious. I am absolutely addicted to their caramel sauce.
