I had lunch today at the Perfect Bite and the food was excellent. I had the Brodie Burger with the chive aioli sauce and it was perfect. Got to meet the owner Jason and the chef Ramone. Jason gave us an order of the fried pickles and they were amazing. I also got to sample the Italian sandwich and highly recommend it also. It is located in the back of Luster Pearl on Menchaca. Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

This needs to be addressed, Lustre Pearl. Please find another place for this food truck spot. The burger has little flavor beyond salt and fat. The fries (3 bucks and u get like a handful), were half frozen. $20 for nasty burger and fries. My friend ordered fried pickles for the table. Nobody could happily consume them. They need to be called, “fried cheesy egg rolls with some pickles in it.” The only one working hadn’t tried most of the food so she couldn’t recommend anything really. The truck had just opened and she looked like she didn’t want to be there. Not friendly at all.

I came to Lustre Pearl for a different food truck but it had closed early, so I ended up getting the Honey Lime Chicken sandwich- and boy was I glad! This is a crazy food grilled chicken sandwich! The chicken was generous and so juicy and flavorful, with a hefty amount of Brie and some nice greens (could have used more greens but hey it was tasty), and even some surprise chips on the side! My friends got the hamburgers and they seemed to enjoy them but I was too deep in my sandwich to notice much lol! The truck didn't seem too busy and it took maybe 10 minutes for my sandwich to come out but I wasn't paying too close attention to the clock. We also got the fried pickles which are very unique- instead of just breaded slices/spears they wrap the pickle with cheese in a wonton wrapper or something along those lines and deep fry the package. I’d say in general I prefer the standard fried pickle as I’m crazy about them, but for a fun and different take on it I enjoyed them! Couldn’t try the fries a they were sold out of them (6:30 on a Sunday so not exactly prime time).

The guy that cooks in the evenings during the week. Richard? He doesn't wear gloves and he never washes his hands. I watched him smoke a cigarette, switch out propane tanks, empty trash and then take an order. He immediately started making the order. Didn't wash a finger. Did I mention the sweating?

We got their south 1st burger and the brodi one and it was good. It was very moist and the buns very very tasty. It is very big and comes with chips or fries. The price is $12-15 depending on what you pick. There is plenty of seating space in the food truck park as well.

Just getting around to sharing about our visit to The Perfect Bite. We live in the area and we were craving a burger. We were happily surprised at just how good it was. Fresh and tasty! Located right behind the Lustre Pearl, so plenty of places to hang out & enjoy!

I don’t know why they have such terrible reviews, but I decided to stop by and give them a chance, and, can I just say, it was totally worth it! The fried pickles were amazing! Little more fried dough than pickle, but still really good. The sliders were really good too! For about $20, I will definitely be back to try more from the menu! Plus, there’s tons of parking, tables, and its dog friendly.

Outdoor area that would be great on a cooler day and if you wanted to bring your dog. We went on a 103• day and it was a hot miserable wait for the food. This place, to us, is meh. Because of the price we have to give it 3 star. Felt the burger as a whole was dry I’m thinking due to the bun. The bun seems like it’s a croissant type bread which I typically like. Maybe it needed more condiments. I got the 1st St and it was ok, overall the family says theirs was ok but nothing great. The fries were good though. I think people should check it out to see if it’s for them and now that we did we won’t be back as we were not impressed.
