The Philly Special

The philly is one of the best I've had in recent memory. The bread was soft, savory, and toasty. The meat and onions were marinated to flavorful perfection, and grilled just to the edge of crispness. The cheese was... well, I don't to sing praises about cheese, but it was generously melted on top, crowning an acheivement in sandwichmaking. Trey is an expert in the alchemy of the cheesesteak, and a welcome fixure of the stall. If he's not chopping away, he's loudly making witty banter with the customer. A dinner and a show. Legacy Hall has plenty of options to pull you away; from the Lobster Roll at Dock Local, or the Duck Fat Fries at Roots, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice to not stop at Philly Special for what is undoubtably the best philly this side of the Schuykill.

This was the best Philly Cheesesteak I've had hands down! The meat was seasoned well and had a nice sear, almost crispy quality I like on a Philly. The cheese was melty and plentiful. The bread soft, but sturdy. Trey was great and I will be back to get my Philly fix!

My philly cheesesteak was really good! The cajun fries and ranch were great as well! I liked the onions on the philly. I just wish I received a bigger portion of fries, but the food was great and will definitely come again! I love the area as well!

USED to LOVE this place. But, my last trip - two big negatives. 1. They switched to Sesame Seed rolls - for a Philly - horrible!! 2. Placed an order for pick-up 30 minutes later (had to drive to pick-up). They finished it in 2 mins and it clearly sat until I got there. Will not go back. I will stick to Fred's - longer drive, but10X better.

Amazing first and second time ever having Philly Cheese steaks (I am from Australia). The chef Trae gave me excellent advice, customer service and left me with a smile on my face and a full belly.

17.86 for a Philly cheese steak with all the fixins, fries and a drink. You’d think it would a damn good Philly right? Wrong! The meat nor the veggies had any seasonings or added flavor. Tasted like the Philly cheesesteak meat you can get in the freezer section at Kroger. The best thing I can say about this place is that they have crinkle cut fries that are cooked to order. Who doesn’t like fries fresh out of the grease. I’d say the only reason why they can get away with charging this price is the location. I think I’d rather just go to Texadelphia for a Philly.

It was great! The gentleman who helped us provided great service and the ribeye was high quality meat and tasted so good!!

This was easily the best Philly cheesesteak I have had. Really freaking good. I’m coming back and would highly recommend!
