The Pickled Palate cafe

Cool brunch spot tucked away in a larger restaurant/music venue. Although a bit wet and soggy during our visit, the scenery is beautiful. Soups were excellent. Panini could have been grilled a little longer, but still tasty.

Tried this restaurant for lunch today for the first time. I had their signature Bloody Mary and a French dip panini with a side of blue cheese slaw. Food and service were excellent. Also reasonably priced and good quality. Highly recommend.

Amazing atmosphere! Seriously the cutest place we’ve eaten at in Charleston area and maybe anywhere for that matter. Sandwich options and fun a varied and I tried 3 and liked them all. Just an awesome time, highly recommend. As a restaurant owner myself I can see the care that is put into this place. Service was excellent

The Pickled Palate has to be one of the greatest hidden gems of Mt. Pleasant. If you are in the mood for paninis, there's no better place to go. The atmosphere is very homey, and I mean that in the nicest way. It's comfortable and relaxing. The wait staff was very quick and attentive. The food was divine. The sandwiches were out of this world. I got the french dip and my wife got the Cuban and we ended up splitting them both! They also make their own pickles! If you want a chill, cafe-like experience come here. The garden is beautiful and inside is lovely. The Pickled Palate will not disappoint.

100/10 that's right they scored 10 times better than a perfect score! Wanna talk about a hidden gem well here it is! From the decor to the people whom work there to the food everything was absolutely amazing! I can't recommend anything in particular because it's all good! Soups, apps, paninis, desserts, sides I did it all and everything was just out of this world good. I can't wait to go back! If they have the mushroom soup and french dip def grab those but again you can't go wrong no matter what you do!

We have come here many times but today was not a pleasant experience. Our server wasn't very kind or welcoming. This particular server is usually nice and upbeat, so I'm not sure what was going on today. It was quite embarrassing because I brought a guest here from out of town, for the first time. We noticed the server was checking on all of the other tables, giving refills on drinks, except us. Not once did she check on us and we never got a drink refill. My guest ordered tea with lemon and never got it so we had to ask again. When the server brought the tea out, there was no lemon (yes, this is minor).Considering her attitude, we didn't want ask for the lemon again since we had to ask a second time for the tea. It's not even about the tea or lemon. It's just the way she treated us general, just very rude. She never greeted us, the only thing she said was "What do y'all want?" She tossed our plates on the table without a care. I hope it's better next time and more welcoming because I love the atmosphere of this place. Thankfully Carley, the musician, is always a pleasure to see performing on Saturdays! She's so also very kind.

What a gem! Recommended to me by a friend, I am so grateful to have gone and experienced this great little restaurant. The garden area is beautiful and the sense of freshness is all around you. The food was lovely- I had the Greek salad and the turkey panini. Both were excellent. I am looking forward to going back sometime to enjoy the outdoor seating and a glass of wine with my meal.

This place is the perfect place to have a nice lunch outside. The atmosphere is very laid back and the pimento cheese and bacon sandwich was delicious. The homemade potato salad was delicious too.

So thrilled that Pickled Palate has re-surfaced for lunch, Wednesday thru Saturday at Mainland Container. It's a win win for both businesses. The interior has been refurbished... more tables and very inviting. There's also several tables on the deck where it's quiet enough to have conversations. The menu includes apps, panini, sandwiches and salads ... something for all dining preferences. There are off menu desserts and kid's selections, too ... ask about them! Today, I had a delicious turkey Swiss panini and selected the house potato salad as my side. It came with a yummy raspberry mayo. Delicious sammie? You bet! My friend had a 'taste' of she-crab soup. A great choice and just $4.00 for an expresso sized cup. It was topped with pieces of lump crab meat and chunky with lots of backfin crab throughout. She also enjoyed the beet salad with feta, glazed pecans, red onion and arugula. Gently tossed with a maple vinaigrette, this was a mighty tasty salad. Our server was friendly and kept our beverages topped off. It's a little off the beaten path so look for it if you're in the vicinity Ben Sawyer and Coleman Blvd. You'll love it!

My Yelp friend Wendy F. and I try to have lunch once a month. We also try to meet somewhere different every time. This time it was The Pickled Palate!! We were able to sit out on the beautiful porch. The sun was shining and the ferns were flowing in the breeze. It was lovely. We even got a special visit from the house mascot !! What a sweet dog!! The service and the food were delicious. We both had the Cuban Panini with blue cheese slaw and mojo sauce! The Cuban is delicious on its own, damnit dipped in that Mojo sauce it hits a level above amazing!! So happy The Pickled Palate is working with Mainland Container, our favorite place for oyster roasts! A lucky combination for fans of both places!! Kudos to both management and staffs of both for making it work! We will be here more often!

First time in their new venue, and it is lovely. Despite a chill in the air we couldn't resist a little cafe table, amongst the plants, on the deck. I ordered their Roasted Red Pepper Tomato soup, and it was so delicious, I can't stop wishing I had more! With it I ordered the Pimento with toasted points. The points were a bit overdone, but the pimento was perfection! I am already looking forward to another visit!

What a great gem to stumble upon. What a great space inside and out. The food was very good and Alex was hospitable and knowledgeable. We had a "taste" of the She crab soup. I don't know why every restaurant doesn't do this. We shared the beet and goat cheese salad, as well as, the turkey Brie and fig panini. It was all absolutely delicious. We can't wait to try other items.

I just love this place, I loved it in the old location but it is still so delicious now that the delicious soups dips and sandwiches are being made at the Mainland container location which is beautiful. The best She crab soup and onion dip. Also chicken pot pies and tomato pies to go, yum.

1st day for Pickle Palette to be at Mainland Container Ambiance- 5 star walk into beautiful mahogany bar and dining area- opening onto a very tropical looking porch- very inviting Service 5 star- complete knowledge of menu will very good recommendations Food is 5 star/ great food with quality ingredients that the Pickle Palette is noted for Very pleasant lunch experience and will definitely return. Can't miss for a rewarding dining experience
