The 23 Essential Restaurants in Cincinnati

"Owner Gary Leybman calls the Pickled Pig a modern deli — but with his own flavors. Leybman grew up cooking with his family in Belarus, where he developed a love for fermented vegetables. He combines that with a penchant for smoked meats and his wife Libby’s experience with Midwestern farming. The menu features items like kimchi Buffalo hot wings; chopped liver served with egg salad, pickled red onion, and greens on rye bread; and a roasted veggie baba ghanoush sandwich with marinated cucumber and tahini-lemon dressing on pan de cristal. Leybman also mans the smoker out back, stoking cherry, maple, and hickory wood to cook pulled pork, turkey, and whole chickens." - Andy Brownfield

Not a local so I can't comment on the cultural impact of the place. The food was not bad but not great either. Stopped by m at 4p, with no wait. We got our food really quickly. Good place for a quick bite. Parking could be tricky since it is street parking. If youre looking for something out of the way that is quick and different, this is a good alternative. If you are looking for a great meal with great service and atmosphere - this is not it.

Google
Delicious food that you’re not going to find at your typical deli. Everything was magnificent and the staff was helpful and friendly. Classes looked cool too.

Google
This is unlike any other restaurant you will find--a true local gem, where everything is made fresh, and there are interesting (and DELICIOUS) new takes on almost all their dishes. Do NOT overlook their daily specials when deciding. And the service...wow, just wow. They go above and beyond to take care of you--it just left us feeling...happy, that deep-down kind of joy where you are not just satisfied, you feel better too. 100% will be hitting the Pickled Pig again whenever we are in the area!

Google
Great place. Love supporting small business eateries. Love the passion of the owner - food is amazing. Pork Sandwich is an absolute must try! Also - the carrots with a touch of Korean influence - best ever.

Google
From a wonderful conversation with the owner, to the amazing (and I don't mean that lightly) food; this place is a DON'T MISS! Best pickling I've had on food in a hot minute. The smoked chicken salad Sammy was a party on my tongue and paired with the seasonal pickled cucumber salad-dynamic duo! Local beer selection was expertly curated for a range of tastes. If you want to support a local business that's doing it right and supporting local farms; get your hungry bellies down here. I will be back for that pork belly next week! Kudos!

Google
Pork burger was awesome. Some of the best Kimchi I've ever had too. Will for sure be back. UPDATE: I went back and the Smoked Turkey Sandwich is so good. Holy shit.

Gary is a pro chef serving high quality local ingredients. Try the pork burger- delicious!

Google
I’m absolutely here for a pickled foods restaurant! Service was insightful and very welcoming. I adore everything about this restaurant, but its deli style service was actually very satisfying for the aesthetic they were trying to create.

Yelp
First off, service was GREAT! When the server AND chef check in with you on the food, that's service that stays with you. The interior was clean and nicely decorated. The server was very knowledgeable and walked us through the menu. We chose this restaurant because we love Guy Fieris DDD and it did not disappoint. The brisket was very flavorful, juicy, and truly smoked. The potato salad was so fresh! The potato buns were fluffy and so good! This restaurant has their own thing going with their BBQ and it works! I definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at The Pickled Pig recently, and let me just say -- this place is a hidden gem! From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere was warm, inviting, and full of charm. Rustic decor with modern touches, cozy lighting, and the smell of smoky goodness in the air made it the kind of place you instantly want to settle into. Now, let's talk about the pulled pork sandwich -- absolutely phenomenal. The pork was slow-cooked to tender perfection, juicy and packed with deep, smoky flavor. It practically melted in my mouth. The sandwich was served on a fresh, slightly toasted bun that held everything together without being too heavy, and the house-made BBQ sauce was the perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and just the right amount of kick. I added a side of slaw on top for crunch and wow -- it took the whole thing to another level. The rest of the menu looked just as mouthwatering, and I'm already planning my next visit to try more of what they have to offer. Service was friendly and genuine -- everyone working there seemed happy to be there, and it made a big difference in the overall experience. You can tell this place takes pride in what they do. If you're a fan of quality comfort food, especially BBQ done right, you need to check out The Pickled Pig. One of the best pulled pork sandwiches I've had in a long time!

Yelp
What a great spot! We happened upon the Pickled Pig on a recent trip to Cincinnati and definitely scored! The smoked salmon tacos were as the kids used to say, "fire"! So tasty , great interpretation of a standard soft taco. We also had the chili, great level of heat mixed with a savory broth. The pork sandwiches we tried were also top notch. The fact that things were made in house was a bonus! The drink selections were far above the standard fare. The owner was super informative about the menu and made us feel right at home. I only wish I had more time in town to try the meat pies which looked amazing. Definitely plan to hit it up on my next trip home

Yelp
Delicious somewhat "adventurous" food, passionate staff. Indoor and outdoor seating, would definitely recommend. Everything we tried was tremendous.

Yelp
The inventive Pork Burger shines. As good as what's between the bread, the potato bun itself is terrific. You'll also like the croissant that tries to contain the Smoked Chicken Salad sandwich, but the filling isn't as satisfying as the pork and kimchi on the burger. The potato salad side can be skipped unless your hunger demands a side dish and you really love average potato salad. Overall, it would be worth a return visit to try some of their other sandwiches. They have daily specials to keep it interesting, and the chef was welcoming.

Yelp
The food here is amazing, what a find. We were looking for a new lunch spot, and this place did not disappoint. All the ingredients they use are so fresh, and pays dividends on the final flavor. A quaint corner store with a nice outdoor patio in the back, the vibes are great for a lunch out with friends. The menu is simple and straightforward. There's a cold case to the left of the cash register with fresh sides. Also love the open kitchen concept where you can see them prepare your food literally 5 feet away. The staff were really friendly. We opted for the pork burger and grilled veggie baba. The flavor and umami on the pork burger are on point, perfectly moist in the center. Coming from a fellow Korean, the kimchi absolutely slaps on this burger. The veggie baba was amazing as well, fresh veggies perfect for the summer and delicious spread lathered on rustic bread. We also got a side of potato salad that really rounded out the meal. Definitely coming back for many more lunches. Excited to try everything else on the menu. They also have a dinner menu some nights, would be interesting to check that out!

Yelp
Ugg short version... high priced, slow service, meh food, no parking, over-hyped. Long version. Came here based on stellar Yelp reviews and left underwhelmed. In a difficult to park area, it's nearly all street parking in a sketch area. Service was slow. Had the pork sandwich with chicken salad side. Was not expecting a greasy bland ground pork patty vs a bbq style pulled pork. Korean relish was lacking flavor. Chicken salad was barely edible due to excessive herbs. Appears this restaurant can't decide on its identity, Korean vs. BBQ. All in all grossly overrated. Not sure I'll return.

Yelp
Best in town Sooooo YYYYYUUUUUUMMMMMMYYYYYYY They had Gluten free food options Service was great owner was very nice Ambiance was AMAZING

Yelp
Wanted to try this place and finally made it. Excellent smoked turkey Reuben with homemade sauerkraut and sourdough rye bread. Had the beet and apple salad and the Korean carrot salad. Outstanding flavors. Great service. Place was busy at lunch. Highly recommend!

Yelp
a walnut hills staple! everyone who works here is so kind and welcoming as soon as you walk through the door. the food is consistently delicious and flavorful no matter what i've ordered! eat here! and don't skip on their rotating specials and bakery items!
google avatar

Yelp
Wowser! Pork and kimchi sandwich is amazing. Have no fear, it is not spicy but is like the white kimchi with just a touch of spice. So juicy and delicious.
google avatar

Yelp
The chicken salad sandwich here is my favorite. It's seriously the best of all time! I get it at least once a week.

Yelp
Found this spot on Yelp while visiting Cincinnati. Needed a hearty sandwich for lunch on a bitterly cold day. The man who helped us was inviting, informative, & kind. I ordered the special Cubano & walnut & pear danish. My daughter ordered the grilled cheese & black & white cookie. We ended up splitting sandwiches. Both were delicious! Got an order of chicharons to go. I look forward to my next trip so I can visit The Pickled Pig again!

Ken G.

Yelp
I loved my lunch here, the Pork Burger and a side of Chicken Salad. The potato bun, kim chee, pork and seasoning were a delicious combination. I went back for a quart of the chicken salad because my wife loves a good recipe. The smoke on the chicken was great with the dill and she really enjoyed it all week. The owner is a very nice guy with a lot of experience, and it shows in their atmosphere and food. Thanks for the great food at the great new lunch stop in the Queen City!

Yelp
The Pickled Pig in Walnut Hills is one of my favorite recent finds. The small deli specializes in smoked meats and fermented/pickled sides. Orders are placed at the counter and the menu focuses on sandwiches and deli-style salads. For lunch, I decided to try the smoked turkey sandwich ($12) topped with sauerkraut, tomme (a French/Swiss cheese), and Russian dressing on sourdough rye, a sort of turkey Reuben. I really enjoyed this sandwich with its piled high delightfully smoky turkey. The bread was also outstanding! On the side, I had their Korean carrots (a $3 add-on to the sandwich), a sweet and sour pickled delight. They also have potato salad, beet & apple salad, chicken salad, egg salad, hummus, and more. If the Pickled Pig were closer to my house it would definitely be in my weekly rotation for lunch. But even so, I will have to remember to stop in again for more delicious food.

Yelp
Pickled yummy town!! The owner/chef is very kind and helpful. He guided me to my vegan choices. My husband said my pickle reminded him of his grandmas and that his pastrami sandwich was the most unique and best tasting Ruben type sandwich he's ever tasted. We sat outside due to the perfect weather. We bought a few things from the cooler to bring home. And we're already planning our next stop here. They have so many pickled items we want to bring home. They've cornered the market on making all things delicious.

Yelp
Man, my experience at The Pickled Pig was so good, I'm not even sure where to start. This place is so charming and the owner was delightful. We had a great conversation about food in Cincinnati including insights into their process and where they source their delicious ingredients. They obviously take so much care in doing things ethically and right. I had the pickle boat and pork burger, and I could not be more pleased with my selections. The pickle boat had a selection of four pickles that were all unique and incredibly delicious. But then the pork burger - HOLY MOLY. So full of flavor and umami. It was topped with Gouda and house made kimchi which were the perfect complement to this moist delicious pork patty. It was hands down the best meal I had in Cincinnati by a long shot. As a previous reviewer stated, this sandwich is going to haunt me. I need this sandwich to be in Louisville and am sad I'll have to wait until my next trip to eat it again.

Roni C.

Yelp
The food is exceptional - innovative without being too precious. The menu isn't huge. Nevertheless, it's hard to choose what to get because you want to try something new, but whatever you got last time was so good you want that again, too.

Nelson P.

Yelp
Great hospitality and ambience. The people were great. This is definitely local and original food, although a little pricey, in my opinion .

Yelp
The Pickled Pig is the epitome of a hidden gem ... tucked away on an unassuming corner in Walnut Hills. Run by one of the nicest pair of foodies you'll ever meet, this neighborhood favorite is a mecca of pickled and smoked delicacies. Follow their Facebook/Instagram pages for their specials of the day ... or just give them a call and ask what their latest creation is. My go-to lunch is their smoked chicken salad sandwich on a croissant (a menu staple), but when I decide to order one of their rotating soups, I'm never disappointed. They also feature local vendors like Cin Soy and Twisted River coffee ... and vegetarian/vegan options if you're plant-based but still love the taste of barbecue. My only wish is that their food was available for delivery ... but the Pickled Pig is worth the drive.

David C.

Yelp
Sorry I've not been here sooner!! We ordered the turkey sandwich and pastrami, along with a pickle plate. Holy $hit, literally not a damn thing wasn't pure FIRE!!! Impressed by the food quality, care in preparation, layers of flavor and flat out dynamic eats. After we ate the owner chatted with us and you can clearly see how he leaves no stone unturned and puts tremendous care, attention and enthusiasm into this place. We will be back, and I'm looking forward to it tremendously Best sandwiches we have had in many many years, literally raised the bar not just notches but YARDS. Do not sleep on the Pickles Pig!

Yelp
I have been meaning to write this for awhile now, but kept forgetting to so here I am after three visits with nothing but good things to say about this place. And that was three times in two weeks which is unheard of for me. I like to try a ton of places but they kept offering good food. My suggestion is to go there and try the Pork Burger. It's, to me, their main staple dish that blows all other burgers out the water. I also suggest the Turkey Ruben, Black Bean Soup, Matzo Ball Soup, and whatever else they have on special. The ONE knock I have is that I didn't care for the chicken salad, but that is more of a personal thing I have on them in general. It wasn't bad tasting or poorly made, but just not for me. I have also bought their cup because I am a fan not only of the food but of the staff as well.

Lauren I.

Yelp
Amazing food! Everything made in house. My husband said his burger was the best he'd had in forever and he loved the house made bun and pickles. I had the smoked turkey and it was fabulous. The homemade sauerkraut and Russian dressing was so fresh. Friendly staff and great atmosphere for a relaxing lunch.
google avatar

Yelp
Literally pickled/vinegar everything.. It was our first time here, not sure what to compare the meals to but it's not bad. I think my friends expected it to be a bbq pork place as they chose it, I'm glad they're known for their smoked turkey sandwich lol I'm not a fan of pork haha Anyhow I would've been good with two pickles on their front counter. It's real huge and satisfying. We ordered smoked turkey sandwich, grill cheese and pulled pork sandwich and wings. Before ordering, you have to really read the menu to see what's in your order. Every sandwich has an acquired pickly taste as some of us had to learn the hard way hah. This is definitely a place where I'd tell ppl to check it out but if they were to ask if I'd try it again, I'd come for the pickles only and again it's not bc the food is bad. The sandwiches were good, but not for me to order once a week. It's an acquired taste that I have to get use to but I'll definitely recommend this to many ppl to check out bc they might love it.

Yelp
This place is absolutely amazing. They do all their own pickling and all their own butchering. I went there with a friend and they even had pretty good wine which I didn't expect. We had The Pinot Project Pinot Noir and it killed with my burger. The flavor of the meat was amazing and the kimchi topping was perfect. If you're down that way it's definitely worth checking out. The young woman behind the counter was very patient and explained everything to me as it was my first time there.
google avatar

Jill G.

Yelp
I can't say enough about this most interesting menu I've seen in a while! Trout dip, smoked meats, the pickle boar which boasts chef's choice pickled veggies. Speaking of veggies there's options for those that don't eat pork or meat! I'm taking the trout dip home for a late snack! They also host a great deli case with fun salad options!
google avatar

Mark F.

Yelp
Sides had an authentic Eastern Euro flavor and had to be healthy as heck for you. Would be good for catered events when you want something unique. The pork patty was good, not as thick or flavorful as I was expecting, would have probably liked it with a bbq sauce that they might have available.
google avatar

Justin M.

Yelp
Some of the best sandwiches and delicatessen you'll find in the city. It's a bit off of the beaten path but it's well worth the short drive to Walnut Hills. Everything is made fresh, to-order (you get to watch them prepare it). I've only ever ordered from the Specials board, which I recommend, so I always get something new and exciting. Their namesake, Pickles, are also top notch. As are the small selection of pickled items for both humans and humans best furry friends. They have a great back patio with a smoker for the warmer months as well. Go in, order the special, enjoy.

Sasha O.

Yelp
This is the real deal! Delicious, creative fresh/warm food, featuring house pickled/fermented ingredients. Great cold deli salads also. While the 'service' and 'ambiance' are terrific (informal, warm, welcoming), it seems safe to say that the owner/staff would rightly all agree that service and ambiance are important only to the extent that they allow a focus on the fantastic food. And that they do.

Loann B.

Yelp
Found this spot while exploring near the Art Museum. Pork Burger is excellent. Potato salad as well. Great little spot for lunch or an evening bite. Fantastic and friendly service. I'll be back.

David E.

Yelp
Fantastic lunch spot! Service was quick and friendly and the pork burger was delicious! Had such great taste! Well done!

Yelp
The owners are pork gurus and are simply just nice pleasant people! Their menu may be limited, but their execution is perfect and they keep things interesting by having daily specials each day. I've tried their pork belly, pulled pork, pork loin and smoked turkey sandwich. All were phenomenal. They make delicious meats and pair it with awesome quality bread, HELLO BLUE OVEN. All components of their sandwich have been cooked and seasoned well. If they ever have a pork belly sandwich you MUST order this item. The pork belly was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside as well as juicy and tender in the inside. This is the best pork belly I have EVER tried (not only in Cincinnati) and I hope to some day be able to try it again (hint: If someone from The Pickled Pig is reading this please make it a permanent menu item). Now if you don't like sandwiches don't worry. They consistently have different soup options available (my favorite is the black bean soup) and a ton of wonderful sides. Their potato salad, beat salad, hummus and baklajan are all once again FANTASTIC. I encourage you to try it all. I love this place and am very happy it is located in a convenient location for me to go to. It is definitely a gem in Walnut Hills that is a must visit. They also have recently extended their hours to 7 pm during the week, so you can now stop there to grab some bites for dinner as well! P.S. If you are a dog lover and love to spoil your dog child, they sell pork bones in their fridge. My dog loved it and I highly recommend their product. Yes, I have a problem and buy things for my dog everywhere I go, so when a restaurant has dog related items for sale they even score more points on my I LOVE YOU scale.

Yelp
The Pickled Pig is gooooddd! It is different than what I would consider a regular deli sandwich. This is steps above that. Their flavor profiles and use of fermented veggies is what makes their sandwiches pop! I had been wanting to try The Pickled Pig for some time and finally got the change to do so for lunch with my husband. I am happy I did. The food was delicious and the service was good. They have seating inside as well as a large outdoor patio out back. We sat outside and ate as the day we went was nice. They are known for their fermented vegetables. They are flavorful and have a good crunch. We tried the Fermented Boat, the Korean Carrots and the Apple & Beet Salad. The Fermented Boat is a sample of three of the chef's choice of fermented veggies. We had peas, carrots & eggs, and beets. They were all good. The Korean Carrots were my favorite. They were sour with a little pop of sweet. I liked it. They also had the perfect crunch. The Apple & Beet salad was also good. It had a little more sweetness, I assume from the apples. Along with fermented veggies, we had two of their sandwiches which was the Pork Burger and the Smoked Turkey. Both were very good and had their fermented veggies on them. The burger had kimchee and the smoked turkey had sauerkraut. Both sandwiches had one or two other ingredients so they were simple but full of flavor. My favorite was the Smoked Turkey. The sandwich was an elevated turkey sandwich and the bread was toasted oh so perfectly. It had a crunch and all when you bit into it. Overall, I really enjoyed The Pickled Pig!! It is different from your regular deli sandwiches as far as quality and flavor profiles. If you like trying new things and you like fermented veggies, this place is for you. If you are someone that likes what you like and trying something new isn't for you and you don't like fermented veggies, I wouldn't suggest this for you.

Yelp
The service is good. The food is good. Pleasant atmosphere. You have to have an acquired pallet for the pickled and fermented taste, but overall it's good.

Yelp
This review is going to be very short and very simple. Been wanting to try this eatery for a while and now I have. Got there right after opening so I could chat to the nice folks. Meeting the owner, Gary and the super nice young lady(Sheila?, geez I hope so...) and talking a little history. They opened three years ago. The area is a booming area for multi unit apartments so a big win for them. The food? I asked Gary to make me his favorite and he suggested the Pork Burger and the Sweet Sour Stew. The aroma ruminating from the bag as I drove my 39 miles home was unbearable. The Pork Burger was sausage patty, kimchi and Gouda on a potato bun and it was incredible but... more incredible was the Sweet & Sour Stew... I'm craving more as I type this. Imagine the best sweet and sour soup, matched with kimchi and sow cooked chunks of beef. OMG!!! Don't walk, run over and get this stew now. Thank me later. Or not? Either way I'm rather confident you'll be pleased. Support the local stores is the way to go. Drop by, tell Gary that Dean sent you.

Yelp
WOW. To be fair, I have never been to the restaurant, but I ran into the delightful owner of this place selling her wares at a local craft fair. Today. Let that inform you of my urgency in putting in this review. We bought three things, the kimchee pickles, the caraway sauerkraut, and the muffuletta mix. We opened the first two immediately and made a sausage plate. These two items are truly transcendent. The kimchee pickles are a beautifully balanced spicy addition to just about anything- there are no more, but no worries, she recommended that we keep the juice to marinade with. I don't even like sauerkraut. THIS. THIS. is flavorful and not sour in the way you generally get. It's fresh and crisp and complementary without being overpowering. I will make an occasion to eat this. My typical mode is "light sauerkraut, only on dishes where it's specifically expected". I will absolutely be back as these two items are now staples for us- we'll try the muffuletta spread soon and report back. Thank you for doing City Flea!

Yelp
Pork burger with kimchi is out of this world! Such a unique flavor profile but damn does it work well. I try to go here once every couple weeks because I get a craving for that burger.

Alistair S.

Yelp
i was in town for business and stopped in. I ordered the pork burger with the kimchi on the side. Let me say this, it was the best thing I ate on my trip and the kimchi was fantastic!!

Rachel J.

Yelp
Great relaxing ambiance, very friendly staff, and a few regulars at the bar seating. The owner came to welcome us in and chat for a bit. And the food was amazing and all ingredients are made in house! Had potato salad, Korean carrot salad, smoked turkey, side of Mac, and pork burger. I'll be coming back here again!

Guy M.

Yelp
The food is always great here! They pay a lot of attention to detail and have a lot of interesting choices! This BLT was perfectly toasted, nice greens and heirloom tomatoes! I have never had anything i didn't like here!
google avatar

Katie B.

Yelp
Food is great from here! We also got catering for my baby shower and it was excellent and everyone enjoyed!
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
i loved pulled pork and chicken. my concern is that my first experience here is that all i tasted in the chicken and pickle was vinegar and brine. I'm not saying that's bad. i was just hoping to taste something more. i really liked the roasted potatoes, and yhe chicken was tasty the 2nd day. I had the beet and apple salad. aside from it being just sweet enough, the dill was just slightly overpowering. i would DEFINITELY come back and try other menu items, but i do like the place and staff.
google avatar

Eric W.

Yelp
A tasty little gem. I ordered the smoked turkey and pork burger. The smoked turkey was delicious! It tasted like a Reuben but instead of corned beef it had smoked turkey. Everything appeared to be made with fresh house made ingredients. I didn't get a chance to taste the pork burger due to my cohort inhaling it. Beautiful little shop and friendly staff.
google avatar

Lance W.

Yelp
Excellent sandwich shop. I was looking for something a little different and this place delivered. Service was great, atmosphere is great and the chicken salad sandwich was great. A bit of a twist from a normal chicken salad but still on point!

Yelp
I just came across this place on Facebook. It had pig in the name so I knew I had to try it. We visited because we saw the Facebook post for a special sandwich of the day, the Cuban. We arrived about two p.m. and they were out. It's sold out! They buy two pigs locally and use them until they are gone and then order two more. The bread is fresh baked loaves of bread that they slice to order. There's lots of pickled veggies and sides along with Kubotcha drinks and speaking water. They even have their own brand of probiotic drinks. Everything was fantastic! The people are nice, it's clean all the food taste amazing. It's a husband and wife team that run the business. It's truly Cuban food. That black bean soup was wonderful and with just the right spicy kick. I expected my turkey sandwich to come on a croissant according to previous photos, but it was a dick bread with crista ends with caraway seeds in it, maybe a rye. The smoked turkey salad as a side was very tasty, not too creamy with a little crunch from apples and veggies with a smokey flavor from the turkey, I loved it as well. San Pellagrino sparkling water was so crisp and accompanied the sandwich well. It was so clean and refreshing. The menu is short and sweet, no confusion. I can't wait to try it again. What a wonderful and different experience!

Yelp
This little piggy and pickle joint is giving me life! The sandwiches on the regular menu (pork burger and rueben) are consistently tasty and the daily specials are always good as well. Even the deli salads don't disappoint - especially the potato salad.
google avatar

Anna A.

Yelp
One of the best sandwiches I've had in a long time!!! The environment, staff, and food is all top notch! The smoked turkey sandwich on rye is killer, a must get. The pork burger with kimchi was also really good, on a challah bun. They sell their kimchi and other in house made pickles in the store, and they are incredible. The place is hip, modern, and welcoming. A great spot for a quick lunch. Give this place some love and enjoy the food!

Yelp
The opening of this restaurant has been hyped up by Landlocked (the bar across the street) for a while now so when I saw that they had finally opened, I made it a point to stop in for lunch. I was able to pull up to a parking spot right in front of the restaurant but I would imagine that on a busier day, I would have to park on one of the side streets on E.Mcmillan and walk down. When I walked in there was several customers in various stages of ordering, receiving food and eating. I sat down at the bar because I planned to pick up my food and take it home. I was not greeted by either of the two employees( one of them turned out to be the owner, Gary) but menus were readily available so I didn't have trouble figuring out what to eat. Eventually Gary came over to me and I placed my order for the pork burger with kimchee and a side of spicy carrots. The menu here is extremely limited and just doesn't really fit my tastes. I really wanted to give it a try and the pork burger was fresh and flavorful but I don't think I would return unless they added new things to the menu. The concept is cute but for me it just wasn't what I would turn to for food in the neighborhood. I did read online that they do sell their pickled vegetables so I actually would consider buying a jar of kimchee or pickled carrots if I needed it for a recipe at home so that I could still support a local business.

Yelp
Really good tuna salad sandwich on amazing bread. We also had the grilled cheese which was a great mix of rich cheeses. The pickled sampler was a perfect way to try many of the pickled veggies.
