The Pie Hole

This is a fun and trendy place to visit as tourists or locals. About 30 mins of live music during one and a half hour stay definitely increased the overall mood. The trendy food we tried, especially gravity noodle was real fun to eat but i would not have this again as the overall taste is a bit disappointing. Garlic shrimp was good by the way. This entire food court like place has so much different food and drinks to offer. Definitely will go back to try other dishes.

Had a bad experience with this place. Ordered online and got the food delivered. Upon delivery, I was told we didn’t have drinks, even though we did order them. I also noticed we didn’t have the sides we ordered. Called the restaurant and they said the drinks were left there, they refunded us, and that was fine. They then informed me they don’t do sides at this location, so they refunded me that money…. But why put that option online and allow people to order and pay just to refund it later? We continued with our meal, my chicken and cornbread pot pie tasted awful. As if something was rotten inside, so I put that aside and decided to share my wife’s Mac n cheese pot pie with her. It was delicious until she gasped and pointed to the bottom of the pie, and that’s when I saw the staples. I called and informed them what we found in the pie, and they gave me my refund which I do appreciate them doing, but I will never eat here again. The silver lining was the Earl grey tea pie and honey mousse pie were delicious.

So disappointed! Bought a whole Blueberry Pecan Pie for $38.00 and it was horrible. Crust was a soggy mess. The layer of pecan topping was soggy also. That pie was definitely not fresh. The Blueberry pie I get from Sprouts for $6.00 taste better. At least it's fresh. Use to drive to the Pie Hole in LA a few years ago. Always fresh with a flakey crust. So I'm not sure if it's just this location. If your pies are old, reduce the price and sell it as a day old. Won't be going to this location again.

This is a review of the Whole Chocolate Pie. $38 for 9" pie. Crust is flaky, filling was just Ghirrardeli brownie mix with a thickener. Overall taste, can't go wrong with Ghirrardeli mix, but at that price point it's not worth it. Save $20 and go with Marie Callenders Silk Pie. This was an Average Pie.

I attended a meetup at the Anaheim Packing House this morning and the only place open at 9am was the Pie Hole (even though the Packing House hours start at 9am). The Pie Hole offers mostly dessert type options (small cakes and pies). I was hoping for a scone or breakfast bread which they didn't have. They also have quiche and breakfast pockets. I opted for an egg, ham, and cheese, breakfast pocket. I didn't taste any cheese at all. And it was somewhat flavorless. Mostly thick pocket crust with very little filling. The coffee on the other hand was delicious. If I were to go here again, I would get the coffee and skip the food options.

Stopped here yesterday while celebrating my birthday. Got home and bit into the caramel apple pie hole and it was filled with mold. I’m absolutely disgusted. I’d go back for a refund but this place is 40 mins away and it’s just not worth the drive.

Great service and good pie. Would come back again. :) Edited to add: We had the earl gray pie and mexican chocolate. Both were amazing. I was worried the earl gray would be too sweet but it was perfect. 👍❤️
