I absolutely love this business. The owner is great and the pies are amazing. I highly recommend ordering a pie now and when the pandemic is over, stop by for a slice or two. She changes up the variety all the time, but you can almost always find apple, cherry, chocolate chess, and many more. My family loves the fruit pies, the chocolate silk and coconut cream, but we have tried at least ten of her different kinds and they were all excellent.

Google
We found this place on a whim while walking back to the car after going to the Roswell Farmers Market, & we are so glad we stopped in! We got a slice of the chocolate chess & blueberry pies and both were DELICIOUS, not too sweet with an excellent crust. The owner Sabrina, was so kind and personable & made our day chatting with us. We will definitely be back! 🥧

Google
A religious experience Savory or sweet, The Pie Hole has it. Their chicken pot pie will make you say "Marie Calendar who?". It's truly epic. The crust is perfect. This is the crust on the pies your grandmother made at Christmas. Yes, it's that good, sorry grandma. Now let's talk sweet. From perfect crust to exquisite filling, every pie is something sent from heaven. The apple pie measures almost 6 inches in the center. That's right, HALF A FOOT OF PIE! And the chess pies, chocolate and lemon. The word trancendent almost captures it, but not quite. If you're within 50 miles of Roswell Georgia and you don't make the trip to the Pie Hole on Canton Street then it's painfully obvious that you hate kittens, bunnies, and everything good in this world.

Google
This is my absolute, FAVORITE place for a pie. We always order our pies ahead of time. The Derby pie with the chocolate chips is fantastic. We order them throughout the year for ourselves and when guests come into town. The owner is amazing and always a pleasure to do business with. I don't have any pictures of our pies because we gobble them down too fast. It's that good! Do yourself a favor and get yourself a pie! You won't regret it.

Michelle

Google
I got a slice of the coconut pie. It was very good, but not worth the cost good. It was SO high for one piece. Be aware!

Google
Best sweet pies in metro Atlanta. The peanut butter with chocolate crumble crust is just decadent. The chicken pot pie is a bit on the sweet side and not as creamy as the one by Southern Baked Pie, but is filled with nice meaty chunks of chicken, carrots, beans, and potato. Only the operating hours prevent us from coming here all the time. If you have a regular 9-5 job you'll have to take time off or go early on Saturdays to get a pie as they're not open on Sundays.

First time in today and I was so happy that there were still some slices of Pumpkin Pie left! I can’t wait to come back and try the cherry pie!

I received the best service! I requested a rhubarb pie for a friend's birthday. Rhubarb was not in season but Sabrina hunted down some. She communicated throughout the process and the pie was delicious! I will order more pies from The Pie Hole!

Yelp
Wonderful baked goods for years! Glad I don't live closer; I'd be bigger than a house!

Amy Z.

Yelp
Cute place. Great pies. A must for us when guests are in town that like pie. Service has always been good and the pies are delicious

Jes G.

Yelp
Had guests in town and needed a pecan pie. Of course I couldn't find one at Kroger, so a quick Yelp search produced the Pie Hole for me. Took me a minute to find; kind of had to drive around the block to figure it out. I'm not the brightest first thing in the morning. Waited a little bit until they opened, then I rushed inside to see if they had what I was looking for. They did! Woot!! It was pricier than I would've expected, but the cashier spouted something about special pecans or some other such nonsense (eyeroll). Luckily for them, I would've paid it just to make sure I had it for my guest's birthday celebration. I don't even eat pecan pie, y'all, but this stuff was truly bomb. My guest adored it (and ate it all week), and I enjoyed the sliver that I had too. These guys were a lifesaver to me, and I look forward to going back over the holidays to pick up something I'd enjoy, too.

Yelp
Stopped by there today. Never been to the location. Had seen the name. Curious about type of business. Spoke with lady via their walk up window. Very rude! Almost like I was an imposition by standing there. Asked about menu. Told me to look on door. I did. It was so tiny and w/o my glasses I couldn't read it. I stated that. The person wasn't interested in telling me their menu. I guess they have all the business they need. Will I go back? Never!! Will I tell people about this place? Never. Do I care if they go under? Not anymore. I was there to spend money but it will be a cold day hell before I return.

Marian M.

Yelp
The best Apple Pie I have bought in the Atlanta area. This is a favorite for my husband. You need to order by phone ahead of time. When you get to the restaurant you drive to the back and there is small place where you pick up the pie. It has parking space in front. The apple pie is not too sweet like are store bought apple pies. I have not tried other flavors. Indulge!

Jen F.

Yelp
Love this little hidden gem! It's located in a cute little barn behind Linen and Flax home. This isn't your grocery store bakery or frozen pie. This is a made from scratch, by hand, perfectly imperfect pie just like you grew up eating. The crust is flakey, the fillings are seasonal and each one is better than the last. And don't forget to try the frozen Chicken Pot Pie. I always keep one in my freezer just in case I need a last minute dinner or someone I know has a surgery and needs a meal. They go straight into the oven and are ready in less than an hour. Chocolate Derby and Cherry are my faves!

Bryan L.

Yelp
A neat neighborhood gem hidden (literally) in Roswell. Getting there is pretty hard, and is connected by a narrow gravel road and a few parking spots, but you can probably find parking nearby. The establishment is pretty cute and rustic, its run by a small team who are really nice and helpful. I decided to go with a slice of apple pie, which came to around $5. The pie was still warm when we got it, and you can even see them slicing apples and baking pies in the back. The pie was pretty good. I really love how the apple slices were still crispy, with a nice tartness (I think they use granny smith). The crust unfortunately was a bit soggy in my opinion, though some parts were also crispy and nice. Overall the pie is pretty light, and not as heavy as I thought it would be. I would give it a 5, but I will need to try some more to bump up one star. It's a good stop to get dessert after a meal in one of the restaurants nearby, give it a try!

Leslie F.

Yelp
We drove from Lawrenceville to get pies on Tuesdays before Thanksgiving. They had no pies for sale! ONLY special order pickup! What, they couldn't have made some extra pies for drop ins?! Really bad business practices. We won't try again!

Wissal E.

Yelp
Very disappointing. Pies in aluminum foil baking plates.. limited choices.. and the taste?-very forgettable! I'm surprised this place is still in business. Sorry!

Tanika M.

Yelp
I personally haven't purchased pie here but I've eaten pie here others purchased. I tasted the chocolate burbon pecan (my fav) and lemon chess both really good. Waiting for pie day to get some variety slices.

Makayla H.

Yelp
Well first their hours are very limited for those of us that have full time jobs, and I can never get over there and get a slice of pie. Open about 5 hours a day. I know they are open on Saturdays but I never think about it. I always want their pie at strange times. Haha But on to their pies. They are open during alive after 5 event and that's when I sample them. What's not to like there. I've had the Nutella, coconut cream, and turtle pie. All delicious. The staff is also very friendly.

Rachel N.

Yelp
I would love to review this place.... Unfortunately, the hours conflict with my schedule. I cant make a 11:00 am closing for the housewife who likes to bake pies but not make a profit. Its our family joke that we've been 10+ times and just before reaching the door, the sign magically turns to close. I hope one day to taste one of these magically made pies (ie when do they cook w/in the 2 hr window they are open??)

Rob L.

Yelp
I don't know what other Yelpers experienced but my wife and I stopped in today and yes, the assortment was limited because it was close to closing time, but the slices we tried were simply amazing. Derby and Chocolate Chess were the slices of choice and they were worth every penny we paid. The folks behind the counter were overly helpful and had great customer service skills. We are definitely going back!

M. V.

Yelp
I've been a customer of The Pie Hole since they first opened their doors. Then it changed hands but the pies/recipes were kept, the new owner was great, and it was always a treat to go there for my pie fix. The employees seem to all be high school kids, and their customer service has ranged from very very good to slightly detached. But upon my last visit two weeks ago, the pie itself, I noticed that the prices had risen yet again ($7, $7.50 a slice) and they also have gotten much smaller, VERY small. Sadly, I think my 10 year allegiance is probably over.

Mary M.

Yelp
Cherry pie slice. Dry. Expensive. Cardboard crust. Not relaxing atmosphere. I was confused eating it.

Lane M.

Yelp
So bc I'm a pie fanatic i decided to give this place a try. I ventured for the apple, sweet potato, and pecan. All were really good no complaints for taste and appearance. My favorite was the pecan (MMMmmmm) it was very buttery, flavorful and the perfect consistency (which is hard to find with these pies) the crust was also buttery and flaky. The service was average nothing special about the ladies who took my order.Getting there was a bit tricky, but its kinda like a hidden gem. I would definitely recommend this place for the pie lovers out there :)

Christine T.

Yelp
I visited the PieHole yesterday with my daughter. The atmosphere was ho-hum and the cashier was disinterested in us. We each chose a piece of pie and I grabbed an extra one for my husband. She gave them to us in small brown boxes because we wanted to eat them at home. When we were ready to eat the pie slices I was shocked to see the sizes of the slices... maybe 5 or so bites. The flavor of the pies was mediocre and they cost me $17. The whole experience was very disappointing. I will not be back.

Tom E.

Yelp
When I first came here, I fell in love from the start. Hidden on Canton Street in historic Roswell in a barn, you are greeted by a lovely lady named Alayne. She handmakes everything, and I usually put in my order on Facebook before I go, and always accomodates me. The chicken pot pies are hands down the best I have had. Her Key lime and Mango Key limes are fantastic. And her White Derby is loaded with white chocolate and macadmia nuts- this is by far my favorite pie. I have not been disappointed yet, everything is always fresh, and Alayne and her husband are some of the nicest folks I have met. These pies are worth EVERY penny. I eat here a lot since I don't have the room in my kitchen at home- and I don't think I could do better!

Meredith R.

Yelp
There are some desserts that look better than they taste -- hello, Marietta Diner! -- and others that pack a wallop and have people coming back for more. This little bit of a restaurant, hidden off Old Canton Street, is terrific. My daughter and I couldn't decide which of our decadent desserts was better: coconut pie or peanut butter pie. Both were rich, delicious and way too much for us to eat. "A box to go, please!" Feeling guilty that my husband missed out, we bought a slice of chocolate pecan pie for him to have at home. (Actually, we used T. as an excuse to sample another flavor .... and as expected, chocolate pecan is delish!) Sabrina, the shop's owner (and I'm assuming primary baker) is delightful. The place is homey and cute. With an offering of six or more pies to choose from there's really nothing I would change about Pie Hole. Give it a try!

Jeff S.

Yelp
Had entire chicken pot pie and entire cherry pie. Both has thick crust thats flakey..yet doesnt fall to pieces. Neither pie was runny. Excellent. Well done.

Hambri Enta M.

Yelp
4 stars because we arrived just shy of 4 p.m. and they were out of a lot of pies. Otherwise, yes to pie! Get your hole filled with pie!

Lindze M.

Yelp
I give it 4 stars overall, but on average, i would say their sweet pies are 3 star-worthy. However, the pure joy in my mouth that is their chicken pot pie gives it that extra star. Totally worth the price. The people are super nice, its in my beloved historic roswell neighborhood I live in, so I still love it. Not a fan of their bourbon pecan pie tho---too bourbon-y. Some of the pies are a bit too crust heavy, so look at them first: If you see one that looks super high/crusty, skip it. If its a refrigerator pie or cream pie, go for it. Like the key lime pie with the gingersnap crust....amazing.

i f.

Yelp
Read the negative reviews before you go there. The only thing going for this place is the location. The pie slices are expensive. The pies taste mediocre at best.

Jenniffer M.

Yelp
First time customer, purchased three slices to go. Pumpkin was good, peanut butter was amazing, but the coconut chocolate chip was less than desirable. The almonds were stale and the pie had a rancid taste. We each took one bite and had to throw it away. Unfortunately the customer service wasn't that much better. The owner was there and was not very friendly and her associate, was a little better, but we still both felt like we were an inconvenience purchasing from them. Not likely to return. Unfortunate experience for my sister friend from California. Not the southern experience she'd hoped for.

Caitlin K.

Yelp
I think we caught the sales woman on a bad day. She wasn't happy that we arrived towards closing, but it was our first time at the Pie Hole and we didn't know the hours. We had three different flavors of the "pielettes" (lemon curd, peanut butter, and chocolate silk) and although they were good, they were small and over priced four for $24.00 or so. They were the size of Seasons 52 mini desserts.

Toni G.

Yelp
Amazing place!!!!! A must for any pie lover. The ladies making the pies were so friendly . Wish I had saved my apple pie picture!!!

Brenna K.

Yelp
The best pie I've ever had? It's here. The Caramel Apple pie is UNREAL. It's layered and layered with apples and caramel for incredible flavor-bursting bites. I cannot eat any other apple pie anymore because I've simply had the best. I always order one if I have an excuse to celebrate. I also recommend their Chicken Pot Pie. Wow. Delicious buttery crust and fantastic filling. The Chocolate Derby Pie is also a dream come true and is my brother's favorite. Go here. Buy all the pies. Get a fork and smile. Your dreams have come true.

Brian S.

Yelp
Yes, Bob you are correct. The Pie Hole does have the best Chicken Pot Pie you will ever eat. Pecan pie also is very good. I have taken the Chicken Pot Pie home heat it up in the oven for 45 minutes and it will last for days.

Bob S.

Yelp
The best chicken pot pie you will every eat. it feeds at least 6 people. I bought a apple pie to a friends house and it was a hit. Everything here is really good. But call and order the chicken pot pie and take it home to your family. 5 stars. A real treat.

Amy G.

Yelp
Wow, this place surprised me. I know it has good reviews, but I bake a LOT and can be picky about goodies. I got there about 30 minutes before they closed and there were still 10-15 pies to chose from, plenty. I got a slice of triple berry since it was the last one left and healthy since there's fruit, right?? After tax and everything I had sticker shock at $7 for my slice... But then I bit into it. Wow! Soooo good. And like I said, I'm really picky. I have no problem paying for quality ingredients from a local business. Plus the pie was so full of the filling that my fork barely fit through the pie. I suggest getting lunch on canton street on a Saturday, and walking over to the pie hole and grabbing a slice - plus there's plenty of seating. Enjoy!!!

Cassandra L.

Yelp
Absolutely loved my lemon chess pie...so much so I went back for a second slice in the same day. The team there is friendly and warm and the pie is amazing. On my second trip I bought the husband a slice of cherry pie and he said it was positively delicious, and he is very picky. A great little place and one of my new fav bakeries.

Michael K.

Yelp
Best chicken pot pies hands down! I drive from Cumming to go get a chicken pot pie from here frozen and I cook it for dinner. We have tried others but none can compare and I have very picky kids. The owner is doing it all on her own too during the pandemic so I think she is amazing! Ordered my gingerbread pie for Christmas and I highly recommend this place for pies and chicken pot pie!

c z.

Yelp
The place is charming and the service is very good. The owner/pie baker is kind and pleasant and clearly likes her business. But I'm reviewing the $5 slice of apple pie. Two stars for making it all by hand. The crust is, umm...I won't eat the crust. It's mushy and turns to glue in your mouth. No flakes here. The filling is earnestly made, but just doesn't have what I like in Apple pie. The apples are sliced pretty thin and wind up limp yet chewy, almost like dried apple. Not sure what variety but the flavor is not my favorite. Possibly Granny Smith. The pie is a little bit dry overall, which can work with the right variety of apple, but not here. So there's very little sauce which is not quite sweet enough, nor much different in texture from the apples or the mushy crust around it. "Mushy crust," isn't that an oxymoron? Just by way of comparison, in the frozen section at Trader Joe's, you'll find something called Apple Blossoms, a pair of little single-serving pies for $1.99, which get it mostly right for commercial pie. Though the crust is not flaky the way a true pastry crust is, it still has a little crumble and snap to it, and you want to eat it all together with the filling -- not separate it and toss it like I did with the Pie Whole crust.

Jacob M.

Yelp
I live out of state and wanted to have one of The Pie Hole's amazing pies delivered for an anniversary. The owner of The Pie Hole went above and beyond and delivered the pie herself in the middle of a rain storm. The pies are great and the service is fantastic.

Chaz R.

Yelp
Excellent pies. It's better to get a half vs a slice that way it lasts a long time. I had the bourbon pecan pie. Lot's of chocolate chips in every bite. A lot of selections and the staff was very helpful.

Charlie L.

Yelp
We went to the Pie Hole today to pick up a fresh baked pie today :) 1st time, and last time and let me explain :) The service was excellent, pie was kinda average but good. Now the price, I'm sorry but $21.50 for a pie is over the edge high. I bought a Apple pie from Costco with the lattice crust and fresh apples the size of your steering wheel in your car that was $9.99 and it was amazing. So there it is. Good pie at the Pie Hole. Great Pie? Not so much. Great service, good pie, cute building. That's it.

Ron C.

Yelp
Just had a chicken pot pie from The Pie Hole for the first time the other night and it could not have been more delicious. This was the first non-commercially prepared chicken pot pie that we had ever eaten and what a difference. It was packed with chicken and was extremely tasty. We are fans and will be back for more, real soon!

Bryan D.

Yelp
A LARGE part of me hesitated to write this review. Very occasionally I keep my favorite places a secret so that they won't get too popular and crowded. The Pie Hole fits the bill and while worthy of being labeled one of my elite favorites, it deserves much more recognition and kudos than I could ever give in a Yelp Review. Yes...I love this place and the pie pleasures they dote. Let's get to specifics... First, read the other "5 star reviews." They get it right and there is nothing more I could contribute. The pie is outstanding and beyond reproach. One of the qualities that makes Pie Hole different is that everything is made from scratch, can be ordered in advance, and they have a variety of fruit and non-fruit pies. Oh, and don't forget about the pot pies. Hats off to you, ladies! You've got pie making down! What's next?

Ken K.

Yelp
Simple Simon met a pieman going to the fair... Said Simple Simon to the pieman "Let me taste your ware". Says the pieman to Simple Simon "Show me first your penny" Says Simple Simon to the pieman "Indeed I have not any". Simple Simon would need a pocket full of Benjamins if he was shopping at The Pie Hole" Pies are tasty but really expensive.

Brent H.

Yelp
The Pie Hole is something that must be experienced to be understood. I could wax poetic for hours about their flaky, delicious pies... but you still wouldn't really be able to appreciate this place until you tried it for yourself. So... try it! In the great "pie vs. cake" debate I used to come down squarely on the side of cake - but no more. The Pie Hole has made me a believer. Now my wife and I are desperate to find any occasion that can be turned into an excuse for celebratory pie. I've had apple, pumpkin, white chocolate chess, cherry and German chocolate from The Pie Hole. Oh, and beef pot pie! They've all been sensory delights. Be sure to call ahead or post a request on their Facebook wall. They're super nice and always happy to accommodate.

Alexandra P.

Yelp
Great selection of pies and a cute little dog in the kitchen! I I would have felt more comfortable if they were wearing gloves while preparing food.

Carla G.

Yelp
Wow, wow, wow! My family is recovering from the Coronavirus. My sweet friend brought us their pot pie from the Roswell Ga. store. It was amazing. So homey, comforting and delicious.

Mimi C.

Yelp
We had a slice of their pear-cranberry pie ... wow, that thing was so sweet that I could only have two bites before giving up.. crust was lackluster and pie was cool to the touch (no one offered to have it heated for us). I am not understanding why this place is garnering such high reviews. This place must be for teens and kids who can't discern when something has so much sugar that it'll be bad for them in the long run. They have other pies like peanut butter, chocolate, coconut and other interesting flavors. They also do pies a la mode... a very home grown mom & pop kind of place. I guess that's the draw. ** not related to the Pie Hole in Los Angeles.

Janelle D.

Yelp
I kid you not, my mouth waters with the memory of these delicious pies. My tastebuds are in mourning. AMAZING. We tried: Eggnog Pie, Mango Key Lime Pie, and Frankenberry Pie. The Eggnog pie was perfect. Not too sweet. It was a unique taste. I mean, it tasted like eggnog but how often do you eat eggnog in a PIE? And then! The Mango Key Lime? You can taste the mango. The flavors don't compete. They are a symbiotic blend of perfection. I mean, I'm a key lime pie lover to start with but it's rare someone does it the way I like it. It's usually way too sweet or tart (and I'm too lazy to make my own). Alayne got it right, WITH MANGO. And one slice of the Frankenberry Pie is a meal in and of itself. For serious. It's stuffed to the sky with pears, cranberries, apples -- all things I love in pies. So very very good for Janelle. And for my wallet. We got our hefty three silces to go for 10 buckaroos. One slice at a restaurant alone is nearly the cost of a meal! There were lots of pies in the display to try, and I can't wait to go back! It'll have to be after I've given up my New Years resolution of getting fitter... so, what, another week or two? :P In a nutshell: The Pie Hole will make your pie hole Happy.

Ashley O.

Yelp
My whole family was so excited to try these pies as I stopped there the other day and picked up an apple pie. The crust is horrendous. The bottom crust was completely raw...gooey. The apples were tart and crunchy...which is good, but the mix of sugar/flour/cinnamon was chalky and gummy like it had too much flour and was not cooked long enough. The top crust did not have any sort of egg wash to help it crisp up and it had zero flavor. It was a very bizarre texture. There crust is the best part!!! It's supposed to be sweet, buttery and flakey! This was so, so disappointing. Also...if you're selling pie by the slice, please, please offer a clean presentation. Only plus was the sweet girl working there. The guy with the man-bun was irreverent and rude.

Lorie D.

Yelp
I stumbled upon this place today nestled behind a financial service company and some other businesses just off Canton Rd. in downtown Roswell. I must say it's really difficult for me to find any place in this area that's not great. The Pie Hole is no exception. It's located in what appears to be a barn. The pie baking area is open so you can see the pies being made. There is a small dining area on the interior. In addition to a few tables and chairs outside and although covered it doesn't provide much shade or protection from the sun on a hot day. But back to the pies...they have a nice assortment of pies, from citrus and fruit pies, to cream pies, to the classic apple pie. At the time of my visit there was even what I recall to be described as a brownie pie. I indulged in a slice of the key lime pie, I must say the presentation on the pie was not that great it looked a bit messy but it was D-LISH! You can definitely tell it's all homemade and real ingredients, but with all flavors that you expect in a key lime pie. The graham cracker crust was heaven the key lime filling was decadent, the whipped topping (which I typically don't like) was just right. I think it was the best Key lime pie I have ever had...wait maybe I'm lying.....ummmmm...no, i'm not.... it actually was! :-) I like this place. It's a quaint and eclectic setting with great pie nestled in the heart of downtown Roswell for your WALKING needs...you know...to counter the guilt and neutralize the effects such sweets tend to have on the thighs...:-)

S S.

Yelp
We paid $15 for 2 slices of pie. Pies tasted mediocre at best. If I am paying $15 for 2 slices, these pies should have tasted delicious! Not worth it. Not going back.

Mike G.

Yelp
Not sure what I was expecting from a place called the Pie Hole, but you walk into this small little store and all it contains is a couple of tables, a chalk board with the pies on them and a pie display at the counter. Unbelievable pie. I believe I counted 15+ pies in the display. We bought a whole Apple Caramel Pie for $15. Took it home and cut into it immediately. First off, the pie is about 4 inches tall at the center, and it is stuffed to the top with apple. The apples were cut into thin slices, and then stacked like laying bricks. This pie was incredible and every time we go to Roswell, we will buy a pie. Another pie that sound amazing was a mango key lime pie. If available, we will try that next.

Sidd N.

Yelp
Really? You guys are obnoxious. Closed on a Saturday afternoon. Better yet - you flip your sign as patrons walk up. A joke. Enjoy bankruptcy.
