The pie here is so delicious. Paired with some ice cream makes it the perfect post meal dessert. The staff are very friendly and the pie comes out nice and warm. They have a few tables inside and lots of different pie options. Overall a great place

Google
There was a recent change in style and they're now a Chai House. There are still some pies with similar flavors as they used to have under Pie Hole and some new ones. We had the Mexican chocolate pie (hints of cinnamon) and the kulfi tres leches. Both were amazing! The chai is made to order and it was absolutely divine. Our server was so sweet!! Definitely recommend and will be back for the Indian style burritos!

$9 for a slice of pie is rather absurd… that being said, it’s pretty good pie. I was recommended the earl gray so I picked that up. I liked the tea flavored filling, pistachio garnish, and salty crust, but the sweetness drowned out a lot of the flavors and I personally thought it tasted better when toned down with a glass of milk. Follow the arrow (left side) when you walk inside the building to get to the back, wanderlust creamery is usually pretty packed up front and you could mistake that line for the line going into the building. There’s pie hole specific seating for customers in the back too (not a lot, and pretty small tables). Overall I think it’s worth a try. And who knows, maybe it’ll be your new favorite dessert.

This gourmet pie chain always has tasty slices for any night on the town! They also have coffee drinks and pie infused ice cream if you so wish. I got the Abuelita's Chocolate and it was rich and decadent. Staff was polite and there is paid street parking outside.

Google
Came on Pi Day! The Abuelita’s Chocolate pie slice was only $3.14. I bought two! The line was not too long when I came (around 6pm) but it was also raining outside. Sucks I had to pay for parking though which tacked on another $2 but hey it beats the original price still of a slice that is normally $7! I just wish Pasadena would bring back Free 90 minute parking!!!!!! The ganache was really rich and the champurrado spices were too overpowering in my opinion. I would want to try their Apple Crumble pie but don’t want to pay $7 for a slice. Hopefully next deal with feature the Mom’s Apple Crumble.

Inside the Wanderlust Creamery storefront. Many delicious varieties of fresh pies to choose from. Also, cookies and muffins are available. Full coffee bar.

Google
This is a fun little spot if you are in Pasadena. Great variety and savory and sweet options. Staff is to small to keep up with customers, but they are friendly and work hard. Only reason for a 4 star is the price. It is a bit overpriced, but every once in awhile it’s ok to splurge.

Google
We’ve been here a few times and always enjoyed the pies! Tonight we had Blueberry Pecan Crumble and Moe’s Pumpkin, both with side of whipped cream. I never had this flavor before, it had more blueberries than pecans & the crust was hard & smooth like candy. The pumpkin had good spice flavors. It is hard to find a parking spot & there are a couple parking structures. I dropped off my wife & she went in and ordered/picked up pie slices while I drove around the block.

Yelp
This "sniffs in" at 4.5 stars... I had been to the Orange location but sadly busyness and lazyness led to my last visit being 2017. Yikes! For a pie lover that is sad. I had been eye balling their coconut cream pie for a while. COCONUT CREAM PIE: -- ample toasted coconut dropped on top by preparer -- crust is an off-white color and so delicate it broke off during to-go transport back to our hotel room -- portion size is SMALL -- price is HIGHER for the small portion -- nice clear coconut sniff -- super tasty thick coconut cream filling -- filling is not too firm not is in light but it is more on the dense side -- for coconut cream pie it is "moderately sweet" which I like -- I like that it is not a loose liquidy filling -- very creamy and a nice contrast with the toasted coconut topping -- crust is good, not doughy nor overcooked and dry...pretty perfect -- the pop of coconut throughout is a 9 out of 10 -- a very good rendition of this classic and one of the two best I have ever had... -- delicious with a hot cup of Peet's coffee RATING = A

Yelp
This review is strictly with respect to their hot chocolate. I ordered hot chocolate with an alternative milk. It tasted like watered down chocolate. It was not flavorful or rich. For almost $7 bucks, you will have a disappointing experience having paid for about a cup and half of bad hot chocolate (yes, my cup that you see in the picture below wasn't even filled --- I understand businesses intentionally finding ways to cut down costs, but the portion was ludicrous). Do yourself a favor and walk down the street to the Amara Cafe which serves, rich, dark hot chocolate (and a cold chocolate drink option too).

Yelp
It's located in the back of a communal hall. They have a small area to sit Poe Hole's customers. The server was friendly and ready to show me the most popular pies. I got the earl grey, but I was a little impressed that the slice pie was that small considering its price (over 9 bucks). The filling was good, maybe a little too sweet for my taste, but most Asians don't like too sweet. The dough however was not good, tasted like it was a bit old. It was not terrible, but considering the price you pay, you should get an impeccable slice of pie in every aspect, so that was a little disappointing. In general, it was a good dessert, but not the best cost benefit option.

Yelp
Had the coconut cream pie for Fathers Day, delicious and creamy. great texture. 5 stars. Thanks Elizabeth for ordering

Yelp
I've known about this place for years, but this is the first time I've actually ordered something. Love earl grey and that's kinda what they're known for so that's what I got. The place was a bit empty even on a Saturday night, and we sat at a bar and stool area that's reserved for customers in the back. Most people coming into this area are at the front ordering ice cream from a neighboring business. Then I notice that the one slice of pie I ordered was almost $9! This was a steep increase in the price from what it used to be. The pie was just ok. It's served cold, topped with pistachios for crunch, and has a very hard, tough crust. I know it's supposed to be served cold, but man was the crust extremely difficult to cut through with the provided plastic utensils that are provided. Several times I almost sent the entire pie flying with how hard I had to cut to get a bite of the pie. The crust also tasted a bit stale, so maybe it's been sitting out for a while. The actual earl grey filling was the only good part, but lack of quality along with very high prices means I'll likely not be ordering anything from here again unfortunately.

Yelp
Picked up the Earl Grey Pie on Thanksgiving and could not resist giving the pie holes a try as well. First of all, the Earl Grey pie is delicious! It has a nice infused earl grey flavor and the pie is very smooth and creamy. The pie holes are like cake pops, but with pie crust and delicious. The blueberry one tastes really fresh. Service was quick and they were super friendly!

Yelp
What a cute little shop , mini pies, great customer service! Once you walk in your greeted right away , it's a team work shop, one gets your order the other package it up an while another puts box in the bag. Variety mini pies, an you won't be disappointed, they are yummy bananas cream pie has peanut butter at the bottom of the crust, the chocolate chip is a dough pie. I highly recommend to try this place out . You will not be disappointed!!!

Yelp
Used to love this place. Ordered tonight through a delivery service. They called and said they couldn't not bring the order and refused to cancel the order. Ultimately I got charged for an order they didn't provide. Horrible customer service and scam.

Yelp
Okay, I thought I'd enjoy Pie Hole like I did during college but the hole in my heart was left unfilled. For old time's sake, I got an earl grey pie and while it was good, it wasn't particularly amazing, especially at the price you're paying. So nothing against pie hole but it just seems to get more and more expensive for a smaller and smaller slice. But hey, if you love pie, then this is your place to go. I think I'll go once every 3-5 years.

Yelp
Tierra messu pie to do for. Love it. Around $40 plus tax and tip if you want to tip the cashier.

Yelp
After three months, t was finally resolved by the credit card company. No one from Pei Hole responded to my several attempts to resolve this. Never again!!! Bye Pie Hole!!!

Yelp
Use to love getting their apple pie but after they changed their recipe it's terrible. It's super sour no balance of sweet at all. Plus now they make it with oats more like a crumble than a pie. It was not fresh at all. I threw away the pie it tasted so bad. Definitely not coming back.
google avatar

Yelp
Really good dessert for a pretty penny. I shared a "pie pint", with my fiancé: a slice of pie mixed in with ice cream and chocolate sauce (in a pint size container.) It was really good, but I thought $15 was way expensive. This Pie Hole location is in a building with other small eateries (juice bar, ice cream) it is counter service and seating is very limited.
google avatar

Jan N.

Yelp
We tried the Earl gray and abuelitas, both were a solid 4/5 for taste, but for the price and amount of pie you get, I wouldn't come back again. 2 small pie slices for almost $20 is not worth it. The pies were very unique and light and not too sweet so I'll give them that!
google avatar

Yelp
A deliciously decadent dessert! Love'em pies so much. I have a sweet tooth so The Pie Hole is on the plus side. Key lime pie is my favorite but everything else is absolutely worth trying! You can never go wrong with their dessert pies! Check! Check! Check!
google avatar

Randy W.

Yelp
Ordered a Key Lime Pie.... in the past they had been great! This time .... did not have Graham Cracker Crust pie shell!!?? ... This is a key ingredient of the pie. The filling and marengue.... were below par! Pie Hole, when you charge a premium $60.00 with taxes and delivery..... You should deliver a premium product. 20 time customer....out!

Yelp
I've been wanting to try their pies and I'm glad I did. I ordered the Ube pie. It was a wonderful filling to crust ratio. The crust was somewhat flaky and somewhat soft. The filling has a smooth-beany consistency. The best part was it wasn't too sweet. Sweet enough to be satisfied and not feel guilty. The marshmallow was actually a great topping. I will be going back to try other pies! Definitely recommend!!!!
google avatar

Kary T.

Yelp
I've tried a few of their pies (early grey, seasonal fruit flavors, and brownie). They're always a hit and the crust is buttery, flakey yet sturdy so it holds up to the unique flavors. The staff is helpful and patient if you're undecided on what flavor to pick. This location is inside a food hall with other heavy hitters like Wanderlust (ice cream) and there's plenty of seating and open space it's not too crowded. My tip is to get ice cream to have pie a la mode :)

Yelp
I have a soft spot for pie places. Isn't pie the ultimate comfort dessert? Pie Hole thankfully did not disappoint. We shared the key lime pie as a mid-afternoon snack and paired it with some Intelligentsia coffee next door which is conveniently literal steps away. Our key lime had a lovely citrus flavor. The whip cream paired delightfully with the tartness of the pie and the graham cracker texture was on point. I only wish the slices were bigger for the price. When did pie slices become $8? Oof inflation. There were a few open tables around but we opted to enjoy our pie in Intelligentsia which has a a bit of a nicer vibe since Pie Hole shares the space with other food establishments. Felt a bit like a mini food court. I definitely want to come back though to try the Earl Grey flavor which I've never seen before in a pie!
google avatar

Kymberly M.

Yelp
Pies are the best I've ever had. Try the apple pecan. Go early, they sell out and are baked fresh daily.
google avatar

Nicho S.

Yelp
A green matcha with lavender latte was my order. Overall I think three stars is fair to rate the Pie Hole. They offer a good selection, my cold latte was decent, prices are affordable, great location and excellent customer service. I got my 2nd caffeine hit of the day.
google avatar

Sasheen R.

Yelp
I ordered a slice of apple pie crumble with a Carmel drizzle and a coffee through Uber eats. I don't know what made me order a pie, I NEVER eat pie!!! ...but something told me I needed one and I am soooo glad I did! I was delighted that my apple pie was served warm. The apple crumble was delicious and satisfying!! It changed my life about how I view pie now!! Thanks for making my afternoon wonderful! I really enjoyed the coffee was well. Perfectly balanced!
google avatar

Yelp
The Pie Hole tucked inside a venue in the back. The same place where Bearology is in Pasadena City. Literally sells different flavor pie. There is also happy hour on some days so you can get certain pies for cheap. I wanted something unique so I got the Earl Grey Tea pie..was about $5 or so for a slice. There was whipped cream on top with some pistachio. The flavor does have a strong earl grey tea. The cheesecake part was very soft like mousse. A little bit too sweet for me. The pie crust was soft. I would recommend sharing it. It was a bit too much for me.
google avatar

James W.

Yelp
Located in a shared retail space, this Pie Hole location is smaller than other locations on their list. With this their selection of baked goodies are also limited, but the shared space also can give you options other than having pie. Pies are not limited to desert items and seasoned patrons know that the savory pie creations here are equally if not better than their sweet counterparts. The staff here are also versed in coffee and espresso pulls thus adding to the value. The Pie Hole is a good addition to Old Town Pasadena and the casual atmosphere is a great alternative.
google avatar

Magda N.

Yelp
Delicious pie with unique flavors. My favorites are the earl grey and the mexican chocolate. So smooth like eating air Only downside is they are pricey, like $8 per slice. Coffee is good. This is a shared location with 3-5 other vendors in the same building. But they have their own tables for each vendor. Parking is $8 flat in the structure next door.
google avatar

Tania R.

Yelp
I recommend this location. The quality of the pies, and iced coffees is the best. I'm now becoming a regular customer. The positive service that I get everyday by all the welcoming employees makes me want to come back every time. I love it here!
google avatar

Karen T.

Yelp
The sweet pies here are good, but the savory menu items not so much. Early grey tea is my favorite pie flavor. I like the crunch from the pistachios, the fluffy white chocolate mousse, and the semi sweetness of the dark chocolate ganache. It has the perfect amount of tea infused. Mac & cheese pot pie had a dry crust and the mac & cheese was too thick. It was kind of difficult to eat, but a beverage helped get through it. Empanadas were ok. The fillings on the inside made up for its hard crust. Handslam (egg, cheese, ham) reminded me of a hot pocket. I prefer the chorizo empanada, which was flavorful. My final verdict is to come here only for the sweet pies. They offer slices as well as whole pies.
google avatar

Catherine C.

Yelp
Got one of each flavor and they were all delicious. Earl grey was the standout. Definitely worth a try!

Yelp
I usually don't consider myself a pie person but for The Pie Hole I would make an exception. A coworker recommended this to me and I was able to stop by recently. It's located at the back of a building that houses multiple eateries, including Wanderlust creamery. I got a slice of the earl grey pie and a strawberry lavender pie hole. Service was friendly and incredibly fast. I barely had time to put my wallet away when they called my name for pickup. The earl grey pie was overall incredible! The tea flavor was strong and it was so indulgent with the whipped cream on top. I also enjoyed the crunch of the pistachio topping. The filling was rich, complex, and smooth. My only complaint was that it was way too sweet for me. Despite that, I definitely enjoyed the flavor. The strawberry lavender pie hole is a mini pie with strawberry filling and a glaze on top. I'm not sure if the lavender is in the glaze or in the crust. Either way, the lavender taste is strong. Personally, it overwhelmed the strawberry a bit for me, but it was still really yummy and fragrant. Shoutout to the crust in general. It's perfectly crumbly in my mouth but still holds its own. Whether eaten by hand (pie hole) or by fork (slice), the crust is structurally sound, buttery, and fresh-tasting. Love the pies and all the unique flavors available! I'd definitely want to come back to try the cereal killer pie.
google avatar

Yelp
Got a whole mom's apple crumble pie for 4th of July weekend and was not impressed. Brought it to room temperature then warmed it in the oven per the instructions. It honestly looked like a big pile of oatmeal on the outside AND inside. It was also a little too sweet. Would probably be better served with vanilla ice cream. Wish we hadn't bought an entire pie and just a slice instead to try it. A whole pie costed so much... We gave 1/3 of it to a friend to get rid of it lol I tried the earl grey pie many years ago and loved it. Thought a basic apple pie would be just as good but it was rather disappointing.
google avatar

Chiemi K.

Yelp
I had a slice of the Earl Gray pie today, not only the pie was delicious but also amazing customer service! The person at the cashier was really kind. I will definitely come back soon for more pie!
google avatar

John T.

Yelp
The whole experience was just ok. The Pie Hole is pretty much in a food hall with multiple vendors which share a lackluster area where you can consume your order. A slice of each available pie sits sadly in a display case with a brief description of what the pie is, inviting questions. The order takers are nice enough but don't really add a whole lot with their answers. I give them credit for having at least one vegan option, the vegan blueberry pie was good, but it certainly would have been better heated in an oven or microwave before serving. To be fair my partner thought it was good and thinks I'm being harsh. There are better desert options in Pasadena. (me speaking)
google avatar

Lorenzo B.

Yelp
so delicious! One of the best desserts in Pasadena. the pie good, the coffee is excellent. The customer service is outstanding I practically come here every single week and eat all the different desserts they have. From Earl Gray to lemon meringue to the brownie and the ginger snap cookies I have never had such a great coffee experience in Pasadena with the great customer service. They're very attentive. They're always advertising the great desserts and pastries they have I highly recommend to come to pie hole. It's such a delight all the employees are so awesome! I love the clean seats&tables the clean environment I recommend it!

Cristina R.

Yelp
No more pie holes ! I used to love this place and one of my favorite items was their pie holes. They no longer have them or at the least you can't order them online anymore. They also no longer have the shepherds pie or the chicken pot pie. I feel like they're just turning into a regular bakery, which is fine but disappointing.
google avatar

Denice D.

Yelp
This is my second time trying this pie company, but different location. I first tried this place last year when they were located on Hollywood Blvd. I was very disappointed with their selections and quality. We got three slices of pie: Abuelita chocolate, the whopper and the cereal killer. The Abuelita was just too dense and too much chocolate for one slice of pie. It definitely needed another element to cut the sweetness. I think the whipped cream on top was to help, but it was not sufficient. The whopper pie was bland to me, nothing special. The cereal killer was beyond too sweet. I like the concept of cereal milk, but again they needed to add something else to combat all the sweetness. I hate the expression diabetes in a cup, but that day we came here it felt like I was going into a diabetic coma. Located in a marketplace space with other businesses. They are located in the very back and are the first place to open. So if you go there when they first open it looks like a deserted plaza, they are open. Pricing is way too expensive for the quality. I like the portion size of the pie slice but I cannot justify paying for slices of pure sugar. Street parking, but located in a busy downtown area.
google avatar

George B.

Yelp
It's just too sweet, the drinks are so sweet it even began to burn my throat lol, this just isn't for me. The Service was not average, however, the little food court has a nice vibe. Thank you for serving us
google avatar

Jean L.

Yelp
I've been visiting this Pie Hole location for many years and for most of my visits, I'd indulge in a slice of Earl Grey pie. As of last week, a slice of pie is now $7, excited to share that quality and taste are still the same as it was years ago. I recommend Earl Grey because the tea flavor is strong enough. The crust is firm so it doesn't crumble on the plate, but rather in my mouth. Service has always been consistent, which is friendly. However, the speed of receiving the item after purchase varies from visit to visit. Limited seating inside as the Pie Hole shares a common space with other vendors. Public restrooms are located downstairs. Pie Hole, I'll see you next time. #36/2021

Yelp
I was there on Tuesday. What a perfect coffee/pie shop in old town Pasadena, the sign definitely brought me in! To my surprise it's all the way in the back in a lively location greeted by a very friendly woman, who is really nice and willing to actually talk and let me know of any promotions To my surprise they had a buy 1 get half off I got the earl grey and apple as she recommended. I'd say a 9 out of 10 . Clean spot ,good music and great energy would definitely come back if In the area . Thanks to the lovely woman for all her suggestions and kindness And I also got a coupon so will be back for sure!!

Yelp
I am OBSESSED! I am usually not a pie person but this place has changed that for me. I tried their Earl Grey Tea pie, their Apple Crumble Pie, their Chocolate Brownie pie, and their Blueberry Crumble pie. They were all delicious but if I had to choose my favorite sweet pie it would have to be the Earl Grey Tea pie. It's very light and fragrant! As for their savory pies, the Shepherd's pie is amazing! Highly recommend!

Yelp
My friend and I went came to Pie Hole to try their new s'mores flavored pie and grab coffee. We ordered the Matcha Lavender Latte and Horchata Latte. The s'mores pie was unique but didn't taste like actual s'mores in our opinion. We liked the crust and chocolate portion of the pie, but we both weren't a fan of the marshmallows texture. The chocolate portion tasted a bit on the denser side and the marshmallows doesn't have that the bouncy consistency you typically have with marshmallows. Both the Matcha Lavender Latte and Horchata Latte were really good!! Our fav was the Matcha Lavender and was told this is also a popular drink. You're able to get this iced or hot, but I opted for ice. The taste of this was very smooth and creamy which I do like. The Horchata Latte was also really good. I'm not too familiar what the taste of horchata, but my friend said it tastes similar but not exact to the actual drink. I typically order the earl grey tea pie which is considered a popular flavor. Comparing s'mores to earl grey tea, I would stick to earl grey tea. The s'mores flavor is unique and something I did enjoy trying but I do like the taste of earl grey tea more. The staff here are super friendly and gave us recommendations on what to order. Every time I've went, the wait time to order and pick up my food wasn't that long. There's free parking in the lot outside but also metered street parking in the front.
google avatar

Laura M.

Yelp
They advertise open until ten but actually stop serving coffee at 9:30. Only have watered down old ice coffee and stale pie. Go one block down to crave instead
google avatar

Claudia H.

Yelp
Expensive BUT worth it! The pies are delicious! We picked up a pumpkin pie for the Thanksgiving day and our family loved it. Everyone kept saying it was the best they ever had.
google avatar

Cindy Z.

Yelp
When it comes to pie, The Pie Hole is the only kind I want. After getting brunch, my friend and I came here for some dessert. I guess it's never too early for dessert since it was only 11am. It's located inside a shared space with a couple other vendors as well, so great option if someone wants something different from juices to ice cream. I shared the Cereal Killer Cheesecake ($7.50) and it's exactly as it sounds. It has a creamy and sweet filling that tastes just like the milk after you've finished your cereal. It's also topped with fruit loop cereal for some extra crunch and color. The only thing is that the pies here are pricey, so it's a bit of a splurge.
google avatar

Kisha L.

Yelp
Went to purchase a pecan pie but they did not have any. They barely had any pies that were traditional. I know them pecan is seasonal but they have a picture of it all over the place for advertising but no pecan pie. They did not even have basic apple pie or banana cream pie. Probably will not go back. The parking is horrible. You have to park in the lot in the back in no parking in front on street. Old Pasadena is expensive for parking and for them not to have what you want. Parking sucks .
google avatar

Yuri J.

Yelp
So decadent and sweet ~ a little too sweet, I was on a major sugar high. The s'mores one has such a rich chocolate flavor and I loved the marshmallow fluff at the bottom. It will satisfy ALL the chocolate cravings. The earl grey tea pie really had a lot of earl grey scent infused in it which I appreciated. Wish there were more pistachios and more to the chocolate layer, but overall very satisfied! I think they would also be good frozen if you take-out! Coffee was also good and cheap!
google avatar

Josephine C.

Yelp
On a Sunday afternoon in May, my hubby and friends decided on pie and coffee for dessert. There was a short line and waited. I was craving for key lime pie so we waited in line to order. Then I saved a table to sit but it was sticky. My key lime pie hit the spot. It was so yummy. Afterwards, the place got busy for slices of pie. 3 stars the tables was kinda sticky

Yelp
Absolutely love this little place! The coconut cream pie was reminiscent of my grandma's! So perfect and nostalgic! The earl grey was a lovely flavor spin on a cream pie classic and the apple crumble was nothing to sleep on either! My whole family loved them all we will be back for more for sure
google avatar

Kreng K.

Yelp
My first time in Pie Hole. Went there for their emPIEnadas. I got to try their cherry and handslam ones and they were delicious. The outer layers were perfectly flaky and and crispy while the inside was a little moist and flavorful. They are perfect for snacks or light meal. Their drinks (i got their chocolate drink and strawberry lemonade) were delicious and super refreshing. Their spinach mushroom quiche was also amazing, filling and huge enough to satisfy your hunger. The salad that comes with it is perfect to complete a delicious meal. This location is located in a plaza off the street and once you get inside, there are three other stores. They have indoor dining already and social distancing is observed. Highly recommend this place. Give them a visit when you are in the area.

Yelp
A great spot for dessert in Old Town Pasadena! Earl grey tea pie (3.5/5): The flavor was super aromatic, but the texture of the filling felt like a frosting/mousse, which made the pie feel really heavy. We were tired of the flavor after about half of the slice. Definitely worth the try, but I would suggest getting another flavor as well. Salted honey custard pie (4.5/5): A solid choice! We loved the combo of honey and fruit. The custard is like a thicker flan, and the flavor was great. It would've been a 5 if the crust had been flaky/crunchy underneath to provide the perfect texture contrast, but it was more like a puff pastry.
