I usually don't consider myself a pie person but for The Pie Hole I would make an exception. A coworker recommended this to me and I was able to stop by recently. It's located at the back of a building that houses multiple eateries, including Wanderlust creamery. I got a slice of the earl grey pie and a strawberry lavender pie hole. Service was friendly and incredibly fast. I barely had time to put my wallet away when they called my name for pickup.
The earl grey pie was overall incredible! The tea flavor was strong and it was so indulgent with the whipped cream on top. I also enjoyed the crunch of the pistachio topping. The filling was rich, complex, and smooth. My only complaint was that it was way too sweet for me. Despite that, I definitely enjoyed the flavor.
The strawberry lavender pie hole is a mini pie with strawberry filling and a glaze on top. I'm not sure if the lavender is in the glaze or in the crust. Either way, the lavender taste is strong. Personally, it overwhelmed the strawberry a bit for me, but it was still really yummy and fragrant.
Shoutout to the crust in general. It's perfectly crumbly in my mouth but still holds its own. Whether eaten by hand (pie hole) or by fork (slice), the crust is structurally sound, buttery, and fresh-tasting.
Love the pies and all the unique flavors available! I'd definitely want to come back to try the cereal killer pie.
