This is a cute little walk up window with sweet and savory pies, coffee and more. Unfortunately, this experience was not the best. The person working the shop gave me my coffee black and never even asked if I wanted cream or anything in it. I'm okay with black coffee and there were other people starting to line up, so I didn't go back and ask. But still, I've never been anywhere that they didn't offer cream, etc. I also got the green chile quiche. For $10, it was a total rip off. The server handed me a to go box that had a tiny quiche in it. I was thinner and slightly smaller than those small, frozen chicken pot pies we all grew up on. The taste was pretty good, but it had all these thin, stringy things in it. I couldn't figure out if it was parmesan cheese that hadn't been melted into the filling or some finely chopped vegetable. Either way, it was a very weird texture and somewhat ruined the experience. The menu said the quiche came with either a salad or a cookie, but mine came with neither nor was anything ever offered. I don't eat sugar and am not crazy about salad, so no big loss in that sense, but I felt I got very little for the money. I've been to many other coffeehouses in town that offer quiche for about $7-$8 and it's a much better serving with a small salad. This place needs to get some servers who have some clue as to what they're doing. I did notice most of the people in line were ordering the breakfast sandwiches, which seems to be a better way to go as they are only $5. I'm willing to try this place out again, but I'd probably go for the sandwiches and tell myself I'm going to have to be pushy to get what I want. For now, I'm rating it M for Mediocre.
