We spent a wonderful night at Pier house. Thank you to the duty manager Bobby-Jo and the whole team - you were so professional and super friendly to us and our dogs! The Cullen skink soup, the lobster fish pie and the Scottish breakfast were superb. The rooms were very comfortable and super clean - and the views! Wow! Just gorgeous! Thank you - we loved it all!

We have just returned from a two night stay at this wonderful small hotel in a beautiful part of Scotland. Our room was delightful with views across to Lismore island (where we enjoyed a fabulous walk having crossed over on the small ferry during our stay). We were so well looked after with log burners on and blazing from breakfast until late into the evening. The food was exceptionally good especially the seafood for which they are justly well known. Do not miss the Cullen Skink or the delicious fresh halibut. Breakfasts were also very good including grilled Arbroath smokies as well as full traditional Scottish breakfasts with black pudding and haggis. The staff all are so kind and helpful and seem genuinely happy to work there which creates the perfect atmosphere for guests to relax and unwind. We will be back. Thank you!

We were staying locally and went to the Pierhouse for dinner both nights. The sign said Seafood Heaven, and it is. There’s a lot of love that goes into that food from the kitchen . To add to the awesome food, the staff are equally awesome , and make it the experience it is. Thankyou so much to Poppy, Sammy and David. We Loved It. Linda and Mark .

We had a fabulous meal here last night. The food was excellent and the staff were first class but a special shout out goes to David. He was the hero who retrieved my earring after it fell into the sink overflow. A thousand thank you's. If the Pierhouse does employee of the month, without a doubt it should go to you!

Dined here for the third time on a Saturday in February. Unfortunately, it was our least noteworthy experience and left us feeling disinterested in returning. Everything seemed very average, a stark contrast from our previous visits. The waiting staff seemed disinterested and lacking in knowledge and the white wine was warm. The food was tasty but nothing to justify the price or hype this place has held. I felt the monkfish I had was overcooked and the lemon and ginger sorbet lacked flavour. My partner enjoyed his fish and chips (the chips were delicious !!) but wasn't keen on the over diluted tartar sauce. One of my favourite restaurants whenever anyone asks but unfortunately this visit just missed the mark in so many ways.

We have visited this fantastic hotel a few times before, so when on a break in the area, I treated my wife to a birthday lunch. |Arriving early, we were made very welcome and shown to a lovely window seat with views over Loch Linnhe so we could watch the Lismore ferry weave it's way across the Sound..|Starter choice was easy, Cullen Skunk soup for both of us. Although a long way from the source of the soup recipe, it was easily the best we've ever eaten, creamy yet light, lots of smoked haddock, leeks and onion with a bite. The rye bread and whipped butter were delightful. |We shared a main course, choice was easy again, the cheese soufflé was just stunning, risen to perfection topped with smoked haddock and a light cheese sauce. |I always think, the test of a good restaurant is whether you need to season the food. The salt and pepper grinders were redundant throughout our meal. |The restaurant had made a wee treat for my wife's birthday, a couple of small apple tartlets on a plate written "Happy Birthday", a nice wee surprise. |Pudding was also shared, an apple tart with a jug of perfect custard 🍮 |One of the best meals we've ever eaten, anywhere, roll on our next visit.

A cosy retreat in a beautiful location with warm and friendly staff. The food was enjoyable and to a good standard although the monkfish I had on one occasion should have been returned to the kitchen and an alternative requested. A small and narrow piece of tail was very overcooked.

We recently stayed at the Pierhouse Hotel and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Beautiful location, friendly staff and fabulous food. We shared the lobster and fish pie, wow 10/10! We also really enjoyed the art work and relaxed atmosphere. I see some negative comments. I definitely would not agree with any of them. We look forward to visiting again.
