The Pilot Shop

I would caution shopping here due to their inflexible return policy. I purchased a helicopter to GA aviation headset adapter that bent after the first use. The store took no responsibility if their product was a lemon. The owner said it was not normal. Of course it is not normal, why would I return a normal and functional item? Other stores and Amazon have the same products, same price, (if not better), and an actual return policy. Unfortunately, I missed the 5 x 8 paper by the register saying no returns for pretty much everything they sell. The store didn’t even want to do store credit. I am purchasing my GA headset on amazon for more security.

Already onto a great start. They are closed Saturday but the owner is willing to meet me to purchase a premier headset. Fernando is the man though! :P Will definitely be back for more goods

Love this pilot store, has all the necessities and the owner is super friendly. They were out of something I needed so he told me to come back the next day, sure enough it was there when I came back in the morning! Nice to be able to come in and buy in person instead of having to buy everything online.

This place exactly what I needed, I dont use small in a negative way but for how small they are and to have what I nee was ded in my time of need was fantastic!! Ivan was extremely helpful and very polite. If I could give 10 stars I would! Great job guys!!!

Very good pilot shop for general aviation merchandises. This is the only one pilot shop in the area, it is serving Orange county, Long Beach, Los Angeles areas. The next pilot shop is in Corona, California. The shop is designed for a new pilot in training such as pilot text book, maps, arial charts, headsets, and other merchandises in aviation related field. Stop bye and check it out.

Great customer service! While the store itself isn't too big you can visit their web page and call them to pick up or ship directly to your home.

The owner is extremely accommodating!! A set of our aircraft's headsets broke and he agreed to open the store after hours for us. Thank you again.

I am a private pilot that is about to get checked out in a 172/G1000. I called and they happened to have the exact POH I needed. When I arrived, they had set it aside for me. Joselin was working and she is great! She informed me that the new charts were in. I didn't even know mine had expired. So, I got some charts. I also picked up a checklist for the Cessna. This is a real pilot shop. Not a gift shop. They have everything pilots need. Joselin was super patient answering all my headset questions. Such a great little family owned and operated shop. I'll for sure be back, as after checking I realized the price they had for the Bose headset was the same as on Amazon. This is the kind of business you hope stays around forever.

Great shop and was the only pilot supply store that had in stock the Bose A20 Dual Plug Bluetooth headset! I live in Ventura and when my daughter was coming to fly with me, I needed a headset that day! I jumped on the phone and started calling every pilot shop starting in my area and working my way out further away. Until I found the Pilot Shop in Long Beach! They kept them in stock for the exact same price as Amazon or any other retailer. She held it for me until I got there 2 hours later! Headset was brand new in the sealed factory box. Excellent! Great shop! If it were closer I'd use it for charts and the like but as it is, it will still be my go to store for necessities whenever my local airport store doesn't stock it!!! Thanks for making my first flight with my daughter an epic moment!!!!

The owner, Fernando, is very helpful and will order anything that is not in his shop for you. This is the only REAL pilot shop in the area. Many have closed but Fernando does his best to stay open and serve anyone who visits the pilot shop. Be sure to stop by and say hello. They love it.

Fernando and his staff are both friendly and very accommodating. Pilot shops, like this, are actually few and far between now-a-days ... everything is online. But, when you need to "try on" a kneeboard and ask for input before making the right purchase, it's best to go to a shop like The Pilot Shop in Long Beach. I feel lucky that this shop is at my 'home' airport, KLGB.

I stumbled across this shop while I was on vacation. I was looking for a gift for my dad. I was immediately greeted when I came in the door and the staff was great! They were very knowledgable. I ended up hanging out just for the conversation, and found some great gifts! They also have wide array of supplies. An awesome find.

as an employee of a nearby business (at the same airport) that includes a so-called pilot supply shop, i can personally vouch that there's absolutely no comparison between ours and The Pilot Shop -- this one actually has a good array of items and good organization, and as the other reviewer said, they are willing to order certain things they may not carry in stock.....
