The 14 Most Anticipated Restaurants in Philadelphia, Spring 2018 - Eater Philly

"The 276-year-old Pineville Tavern in Bucks County is getting a sister spot in the city. The Pineville will span two floors, with a neighborhood tavern feel on the street level and a swank lounge with a raw bar, bronzed mirrors, velour walls, and a Steinway grand piano upstairs. The food is classic American: bacon cheeseburgers, barbecue ribs, fried chicken, crab cakes, and other hearty eats." - Rachel Vigoda

Neighborhood bar with a solid vibe and bi-level dining space. Had a 25 minute wait for a party of 4 around 7pm on a Saturday night though I anticipate this wait will be getting longer in the future. The overall experience is good but not great and needs a little bit of polish. The bartenders are on top of their game and are knowledgeable of the menu. Cocktails are solid and well made, though the drinks could be filled up a little more in the glass. Food is tasty, but nothing beyond the menu description. Both types of egg rolls and loaded tots make for a great app spread for 4 people. Ribs, fried chicken, wings and prime rib sandwich are all good as well. Ribs do have sauce on them even though menu describes as dry rub. Fried chicken is extremely crisp on the outside and juicy on the inside. Steak fries need some kind of seasoning and the cornbread is very good. They need to print more drink menus, we constantly had ours taken away from us for other tables. The server also was a little behind the ball and not everything came out perfectly as requested. Lastly, the suicide wing sauce appears to be straight puréed habanero, order at your own risk.

I had a wonderful time and an excellent meal at this establishment. Excellent customer service! Everyone was very friendly and attentive and really made you feel at home. Food was fantastic! My favorite was the million dollar shrimp and the apple pie for dessert. Next time I am going to try the million dollar burger. I will definitely be coming back.

The appetizers and the drinks were great but I was disappointed with the entree which was the fish bowl. I had the monkey bread pudding for desert and as well, I was disappointed with that also.

The food was excellent but a little pricey. Wonderful live piano and singing in the background. Will come back again, but will need to save up first!!!

This place has potential but definitely has kinks to work out. We came for brunch and were the first to arrive (& only one other couple showed up while we were there). It was 20 minutes after they opened for brunch (at 10am) but the door was locked and the brunch menus weren't printed. Feels like 11am open time may be better for them. Our food took a while and then was room temperature. I really wanted hot sausage gravy so I asked for it to be warmed more. My husband got chicken and waffles and didn't bother. The thing is, the food is good...it was good even though it wasn't hot. My 2nd plate was a little warmer but definitely not serving temperature. Service was a little awkward. We'd try it again for dinner, but mostly the food is too good to not serve it hot!

Loved the Bottomless Bloodies!! Dining area was really chilly as the single front door entry let all the cold air in. Service was good with timely visits. Decor was neat; rustic style keeping some old features of the converted building with the new brick showing scene. Brunch options were okay and food presentation and taste was good. Coffee was delicious.

When the Pineville tavern opened I was excited! It definitely has a great food selection and good staff. This is definitely my go to bar when I have some down time. I like now even more that pineville seemed to have expand their menu selection too. It's a great neighborhood bar restaurant with live music on some nights. Very cool and my kind of atmosphere.
