Prior to my arrival at Pirates Bowl, I had some ambivalent feelings about whether the food would be delicious or not—but I’m so glad I gave it a try! The jumbo shrimp (shareable) was absolutely delicious. Each shrimp was perfectly coated in seasoning and cooked to the ideal temperature—not too hot to burn your mouth, but not too cool either. It was so tasty that I immediately wanted seconds! The catfish was another standout—crispy on the outside, well-seasoned, and bursting with flavor. A special shoutout to Sarah Beth, our server, who made the entire visit so memorable with her wonderful strawberry lemonade, great service and friendly personality. If you’re thinking about trying Pirates Bowl, don’t hesitate. Highly recommend!

The wife and I are visiting from SC and we were looking for a nice place to eat with a good crab boil. I must say they did not disappoint! The wife had a pound of shrimp with corn, potatoes, eggs and sausage. I had 2 pounds (4 clusters) of snow crab with the same add ons. Everything was delicious and all that food was under $150! Our server was very attentive and very nice. The atmosphere was nice and laid back. All around a great experience. If you are looking for a great tasting affordable boil in a bag style meal, The Pirate's Boil is the place to go!

Horrible! My kids took me here for my birthday and when I tell you, this place is disgustingly! The bartender Rho also served as our waitress although we didn’t sit in the bar area. My grandchildren were present and it took a half hour for their juice drinks to touch the table and 18 minutes for my birthday drink to arrive. The service was awful. The bartender/waitress is not a people person and completely lack social skills. The manager Danielle, is even worse. Our food came out with rotten eggs and stale corn. Oh, the fish was full of so many bones it was difficult to eat. The potatoes were undercooked and old. I’m completely disappointed in this restaurant quality of food. Such a great location for the community. The staff could use an overall restructure. The restaurant was empty upon our arrival and departure. This alone speaks volumes.

It was a great atmosphere. Food was awesome, got a few Boil bags. Pirates Secret sauce was a lil salty for me.. but still good.

A delicious and enjoyable meal! Great portions, delicious seasoning, loved the crab legs and shrimp! Jayair (sp?) was a great waiter.

Our server, Jyair, reminded us of Usher 😍—great energy and even better service! The food came out hot and delicious. We customized our own seafood bag, and the flavor was absolutely on point.🍤🦐🍤🍤🦐🥔🦞🌽

I thought This place was the best and then I had Jymaire as my server and he was the absolute best person to host my table. He was so funny and personable but also also cool and clued into anything we needed. He Just made my birthday 10 times better, Thank you!

10/10 HITS EVERY TIME Latto did a review of this place & I been coming every since. Every time hits. I love the seafood & the wings just made my top 3 wing experiences in Atlanta honestly. Our server was Adam and he was amazing. Came as a late lunch/early dinner and it wasn't packed, but did get some people in as we were sitting. The music was nice & mellow. Recommendations: -Sweet tea: perfect Southern tea -Pirate's Secret Wings (mild): 15/10 perfectly crispy, seasoning was delicious & the celery literally made me ask for more -Cheese sticks: nothing extra, but always hot & actually have cheese in them -Noodles: buttery & definitely hit well with the seafood sauce

Whether you dine in, take out/ delivery the food Is on point. My usual are the black/green muscles , two potatoes, eggs, corn, seasoned Cajun fries, and their fried rice..oh and I forgot to mention, the pirate signature is my Favorite. Plenty of parking and seating. Friendly staff

This was my first crab boil since I have lived in the Atlanta area. I spent near 50 bucks and chose the Dungeness Crab. I went inside and it was pretty empty which had me wondering if their business is struggling and if there were other reviews that align with the lack of customers. The food was just ok. I felt like I should have made my own at home. I think the turn off for me was the level of salt. It was just too salty. Seasoned should not mean salty. I didn't complete my meal. While it wasn't terrible I am not running back to try it.

I love Pirate's Boil! The food is always fresh quick and hot! Shoutout to the Bar aswell for always keeping us lit with the Lemon Drops!

After a day of officiating lacrosse, I was famished and excited to find a Cajun seafood joint. The Pirate's Boil employs a friendly staff that are eager to help you on your adventure. The restaurant has a good vibe and includes a large dining area and a spacious bar with TVs so you can enjoy the game. I partook of the fried oyster basket, which came with 10 oysters and a pile of Cajun fries. The oysters were breaded and fried perfectly. They were juicy and tasted of the sea. The fries were hot and crispy and the Cajun seasoning gave them just the right kick. If you're looking for seafood that's a little bit different, swing by and hang with the Pirate.

Good food and drinks, depending on your bartender.... from what I'm told.... lol. I like the fact that there's tvs around to watch something while I'm eating. The atmosphere is calm and exciting because there are usually small gatherings, whether it's for birthdays or anniversaries. I will say that I love their fried catfish and their fried shrimp.

Food by is terrible ...greasy, "butter " looks more.They don't even have coffee available!

What a great experience! Let me start by saying: I'm a seafood boil snob. I grew up near the water with a mother who lives and breathes seafood, making it a staple in my life since childhood. So if I know anything, it's seafood. So when my girlfriends suggested that we head to The Pirate's Boil for lunch while in the area, I ran to the Yelp reviews to confirm that we were on the right track. There are a number of seafood spots in ATL and honestly, very few have left their mark on me, and I hate to waste time/money on a bad food experience lol. Especially seafood! So when I saw all of the great reviews from my fellow Elites and Yelpers, I felt like we were really in a for a treat. We visited on a Saturday afternoon after a morning of spending time out in the city. The restaurant is located in a large plaza which means tons of parking. Upon entry, the nautical theme was quite evident from top to bottom with branding all over. We were promptly greeted by a nice young lady who gave us a choice of table seating or booth seating. I was surprised that the restaurant wasn't packed yet, but there were a few other parties inside diving into their food and enjoying themselves. We were seated and welcomed by our waitress, Jasmine, who quickly took our orders. Looking at the menu, the prices were actually pretty reasonable compared to others that I've seen. Between the four of us, we all seemed to get a variety of options with me going with 1/2 lb. of green mussels and 1/2 lb. of Dungeness crabs in hot + Pirate's boil special sauce. My only gripe about seafood boils these days is that eggs/sausages are usually extra and the corn and potatoes are limited. Like, why is that? I need to start a petition and need this on the upcoming voting ballot because, aht aht. (But luckily one of my friends didn't want her eggs so I won. :D) I asked Jasmine which spice level was her favorite, to which she answered, "Inferno". My sister in christ, absolutely not lol. I like spice so much, but I didn't want to regret my choices later lol. When we received our food, the "hot" could have used an extra kick, but with more mixing and dipping directly into the bottom of the bag, it all worked out without extra spice. My boil was delicious!!! 1/2 lb. of mussels equaled about 6 pieces and my crab was big cluster with about 5 legs - not too bad. The sauce was flavorful, garlicky, buttery, really good. My only complaint was that there held back on the amount of sauce. Having double that amount would be ideal next time. My only complaint about this visit? The bathrooms. 1 stall was closed and the others, along with the sinks, looked as though they needed a deep clean. There were tissues all over the floors and I feel like that could be avoided if someone was checking the bathrooms every few hours and cleaning them up. At a restaurant where the cuisine is a messy experience, bathrooms are important and that part of the experience wasn't ideal at all. Truly one of the top 2 seafood boil experiences that I've had in ATL so far, so grateful for my fellow Yelpers sharing their feedback and the Pirate's Boil team for dishing up some great food!

The food was delicious and my lemon drop hit the spot. The server was quick and patient. I would definitely come back here.

Pirates boil is the only boil spot that I go to Georgia. Why? They're consistent, from the food, to the wait time, and service. They're located in a shopping center, which means plenty of parking spaces available. If it's busy on a weekend you can do a simple reservation. They have an affordable lunch special ranging from baskets to boil bags. The music is pretty up to date, the servers are patient, available, and calm. Must try: Fried Shrimp Basket (as pictured) w/Cajun Fries with a side of the bombom sauce. Hush puppies and of course a boil bag medium spice level Pirates Secret sauce. Note: The Mild sauce is not spicy to me, its flavor with no kick is the best way to describe it.

Lunch carry out I like the Pirate's Boil, I dropped in for lunch this past Wednesday and ordered a to go shrimp boil with heads off, it came with shrimp, potato and corn and I added an egg to the mix. The pirate's butter sauce was amazing. The service was great, and I really like ambiance of the place, it was clean and cozy. They do offer a full bar here and a pretty decent menu. The prices are in line with other seafood resturants in the area. Parking is plentiful as it is a shared lot with other businesses. I will definitely have to check out their dinner menu soon.

I was craving seafood boil and a friend of mine suggested this place. It's in a strip mall however there's plenty of free parking there. There was no wait and it mimics the style of the various other seafood boil spots like Juicy Crab and Rockin Crab restaurants. Our server was attentive and despite the fact she did not carry a notepad was able to remember me and my party of 5 orders. She refilled our drinks and gave us the silverware and bucket for our crab boils. The food was outstanding and the calamari was great not too chewy either. Ambiance displayed wooden laminate tables and open space to accommodate large parties. This spot is a hidden gem in Smyrna. Can't wait to go back whenever I'm in the mood for some bomb seafood crab boils.

This was my first time eating here and it lived up to the hype! This place is located in a plaza with lots of parking. It is very spacious inside. Our server was really nice and good at her job. She kept our cups full and even gave us Togo cups to take with us. I enjoyed the Treasure Chest which consisted of 1 snow crab cluster, shrimp, sausages, 2 corns, and 2 eggs. My boyfriend enjoyed a po boy sandwich. I was unable to finish my seafood boil so I took it home and enjoyed my left overs the next day. I'll definitely be back.

Parking is free and in abundance lol, always seated immediately. Drinks be lit and made with love, Ive ordered a variety of things here and they've been delish. I always get sauce to go and add it to my baked salmon or ramen at home.

My friends and I came here craving seafood boil. I was concerned we weren't going to get seated as we arrive 40 minutes before closing but they were still more than happy to have us. They have a fun selection of frinks including those that come in punch pouches. We shared a cajun calamari and hush puppies for appetizers. I thought the calamari was overly seasoned and small but I did enjoy the hush puppies as it reminded me of cornbread with pieces of corn! For an entree, we split the master of the sea with head on shrimps and added 1/2 lb of black mussels. Similar to the calamari, I found the sauce to be more peppery than garlicy but it still tasted great! We got through almost all of it feeling more than satisfied between 4 people. Overall, we had a good experience and I would come again! Service was phenomenal and efficient.

I love the service at this location. They are always helpful and quick to give suggestions if you're indecisive. These guys rock.

First time going to this place. I read all of the reviews and it didn't disappoint. Highly recommend this place I got the catfish my sister got the treasure chest. We also order calamari regular version. Everything was awesome the dish was not greasy great season crunch. The calamari was just as good. The environment was nice clean the restaurant is a good size to accommodate guests eating in. The decor was a themed pirate vibe. I will be back for sure. Service was prompt our server was very attentive. Check them out. They have a garlic butter sauce that is to die for.

Wonderful seafood boil spot in the Atlanta Georgia area. This review is being written a little later than when we ate here. But if I can recall, there was tons of good food and lovely vibes and staff as well. I believe we went with the combo that included crab legs, crawfish, shrimp, potatoes and corn. The mix within the bag was I think there everything sauce at a medium heat. Long story short. An unbelievably delicious experience. I will say the meal was a bit salty so I should've drank more water to counter act the increased BP I experience afterwards lol but that's on me. Order all the good yummy items but just make sure to stay hydrated as boils just naturally have lots of spices and tend to be a little salty. Would definitely come back again

Delicious seafood boil and steamed oysters. I am a garlic girly all the way and the lemon garlic cajun hit the spot. If you like spicy get above medium level. I recommend the Pirate's Secret seasoning as well. Service was attentive and quick. The ambiance is fun setting the perfect mood for a traditional seafood boil.

Open late, what more could you ask for? We got into town much later than we planned and ended up at the pirates boil at 10 pm. Thankfully there was no wait. The decor matched the theme of the restaurant very well and the neon signs were great. We got their special sauce which was a mix of almost all the sauces. I wish I gotten the Cajun and the hottest flavor they had tho.

We were visiting from Minnesota and looking around the area for places to eat. This place came up and had good ratings. It's located in a strip mall and have plenty of parking. It didn't look like much from the outside. Once you walk in though it's huge! Plenty of seating and open space. The tables are covered with plastic and a bucket full of napkins. Ready for a delicious messy dinner! Even if you don't like boil/seafoods there are other fried options like chicken tenders and fish. They also have po boys and other shareables. With the boils, you pick the kind of seafood you want, then the seasoning, then the spice level. I love how you can customize it and make it what you want. I am not a spicy person and picked the mild spice. I should've picked the kid spice lol. But it was still so flavorful! I had to take a few breaks and sip my water to cool down my mouth, but it wasn't terribly on fire. I just don't have a tolerance. Everything tasted amazing and packed a flavorful punch! Prices were fair for the amount and quality of food you receive. Service was a little slow and lacked personality but oh well. I'm here for the food!

We are spoiled in Chicago. We have tons of boil bag seafood places. But we were driving through Atlanta and I needed flavor. This spot came up on Yelp and it was a win. The prices are great. Great quality, good pricing, great combos. We had a variety of stuff and everyone was happy with their order. I personally went with a half pound of headless and a snow crab cluster, pirate's secret, inferno. It was delicious. Spice level was perfect. The service was great. She was friendly and attentive. My singular complaint was my daughter's wings were teeny. They were good but small. My kids asked to add this to the road trip stop list from Chicago to Orlando!

I used to love coming here. Today was the worst food and experience shown by the manager. My bag was full of diluted seasoned butter. I expressed to the waitress the consistency, and she agreed it was poorly made. I received a bowl of the sauce, full of watered down seasoning full of butter. My seafood broil was a soup bowl of butter with seafood. Upon checking out, the waitress noticed I didnt eat it, just the crab legs. I expressed it wasnt good, full of butter, a total recipe for a stomach ache. She agreed to bring the manager, which he refused to address me or comp any small portion of the bill, I wasnt even offered a coca cola. I walked to the stand to tell him politely how his customer service was poor, the waitress agreed I was served a bowl full of butter and his refusal to address it or acknowledge showed his lack of care. As I looked around, the restaurant, asian owned full of black customers. I am tired of patronizing businesses, particularly asians that dont respect black people, their experiences or dollars. Its the same thing with nail salons and small food chains. Aside from this, the restaurant is offering less but raising their prices. Diluted bag, skimmed pieces of sausages compared to before but higher prices. I do not recommend this place!! Besides juicy crab is directly across the street if I desire seafood boils.

Pirates boil is so far my favorite seafood spot in Atlanta! The corn nuggets are the very best! The sauce everything! The service top tier! My favorite waitress is no longer there I usually always ask for her; Jenny is the best! The music is good, it's clean and spacious. Worth the money. I've never had an issue!

Loved it here!! Food was amazing! The boils come in a bag with everything. You have your choice of spices. I highly recommend!

Starting with the ambiance is awesome the people here are great and the place decore is cool it's like your on a pirate ship they really went all out on it Let's goooo the food i love seafood bit this is next level You order what sea food you want and they out all the sauces and condiments in a bag they bring you gloves and a bucket for all your peels and you peel deep and eat absolutely a great time food was 10/10 I'd go back! Bring yo wallet cause it can be pricy i got a pound of shrimp pound of king crab half pound of green muscles and Two lobster tails two drinks total was 165$ worth it. Don't get me wrong they have starter meals for $30 but we'll i had too.

I'm praying that my visit on 2/4/24 was just a "bad day" because if this is the new normal I'm very disappointed. I ordered my usual Treasure Chest with Pirates' Secret sauce, Hot. As soon as the bag hit the table I knew something was off. The sauce was watered down and the portion was not the normal size. My shrimp was overcooked and we arrived an hour after they opened so that made no sense. Our service rectified the situation and had them remake my "thick" sauce but every table whose food came out after looked like a bag of water. PLEASE DON'T CHANGE UP NOW!!

Fun place, with pirate themed ambience and plenty of seating. We went on a Friday night around 6pm.. and it was not busy at all. The food is overall was good. Calamari were a bit on the thin side and over fried/oily.. However, hubby enjoyed his shrimp po'boy and my shrimp and Dungeness crab combo was perfectly prepared! The seafood was not overcooked and the garlic seasoning was very good. For those that like spice, note that their heat levels are on the milder side, so if you usually like medium, you can safely go hot. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and friendly service and will probably be coming back here soon.

My favorite seafood boil place. I come to lunch here for the catfish basket all the time. I also love their seafood boils. The quality is always good. The drinks always hit. The service is phenomenal everytime I go. I highly recommend! I never have any issues here. As far as I know too the place looks pretty clean

My first visit was in 2021 and back two years later. This is where my guy and I had our date start, it went on for hours and we're still together. It wasn't even our initial place we intended to eat but we had such a great time then and now. The inside is really spacious, clean and the music doesn't drown out dinner conversation. The food is as good as it gets for a crab boil bag. The Pirates Boil blend of seasoning, heat to your liking and all the fixings - corn, potatoes, boiled egg & andouille sausage. Enough food for two meals - a crab cluster, 1/2 lb of shrimp and plenty of flavor. The drinks are good and our server (Camille) was friendly. To have kept the doors open when your direct competitor is across the street (Juicy Crab) speaks volumes! The Pirates Boil has more personality, ambiance and a family-friendly clientele. The prices range from low to high and they do fried food as well. Check them out!

We had an excellent lunch here. The place is really clean, they have a lot of seating, and a bar. What we ordered: - Cajun Calamari - 1 lb crawfish Pirate's Secret medium - 1 lb clams Pirate's Secret medium - 1 lb mussels Pirate's Secret medium - Fried rice The clams were meaty and tasted really good. The crawfish was our absolute favorite, they were HUGE and fresh tasting. They were so good we ordered 2 lbs to go! Surprisingly, the fried rice was pretty good too. The Cajun Calamari weren't bad, but probably won't order again. Our server was mild mannered and polite. He was pretty busy, so it took him quite a bit of time to check on us, but he was apologetic and took good care of us. Looking forward to going back when we're in the area.

BEST SEAFOOD BOIL IN THE WORLD !!!!! Come here all the time F*** Juicy crab or any other seafood boil place. This is the place to come for flavor, good drinks, and great vibes. Service is impeccable and fast !!! They lunch special is a good deal as well. We spent $40 for a customized order with 3/4 Shrimp (Head Off) ,Andouille Sausage, 3/4 Clams, 3 Potato's, and 2 eggs. GET PIRATE SECRETE MEDIUM not to spicy just right. We can eat and This filled both of us up !!

Got the master of the sea with pirates secret sauce level 3 spicy - crab and crawfish were pretty good, but the shrimp was mushy and not fresh. Sauce was good, just a bit salty. The server was kind enough to warn us about the sauce being salty. Good service and decent food! I would go back for the crab and crawfish, but definitely not the shrimp. The food was enough for two people to leave decently full, but not super full. We also got rice.

Loved it. Me and my sister went( she's not a huge seafood boil person) and she ate most of her food which is surprising . I got the spicy sauce, flavor was there and burn.

My daughter and I stopped in yesterday to try this place for lunch. They give you a lot of shrimp in the boil bags so 2 people can really eat on one and we ordered a side of Crab legs for which 17 bucks is expensive for 1 claw. It was good though. Would recommend.

I was in town for work and saw this come up on Yelp. I love a classic boil bag - I had a treasure chest bag and it was a great size for one person. I've never seen an egg in a boil bag so that was interesting. I liked that you were able to select the bag flavor and spice level. Overall it was good and I would go back.

The Pirate's Boil located in Smyrna, a busy strip center. The hostess greeted me upon arrival, then seated, 2 mins later at a spacious booth for myself & my best friend. Brittany, was our waitress, she made sure we had Menu's, water, napkins, lemons. Brittany service was good, until she failed to explain how their 50% off on the 2nd starter bag works. I showed Brittany & her Manager, this Bogo discount from Yelp after check-in. Both Brittany & her manager said, yes we can apply the 50% off the second starter bag. Brittany never explained to me what a starter bag was after she help me browse the menu, since I never been. My friend ordered, the Treasure Chest & I ordered two lbs of Crawfish. I told Brittany I didn't want the Potatoes, Brittany asked, if I wanted to add eggs instead. I was like, yes! Prior to ordering I told Brittany I wanted to used the 50% coupon. Brittany never gave me instructions as to what I had to order, to use that bogo discount. When the check came before I could look at the tab, Brittany said, she couldn't apply the 50% discount, we needed to order "starters bags". I asked, "Brittany why didn't she explain that to me upfront"? Brittany responded, I thought you knew. Ugh. This was a bit disappointing since Brittany had been explaining everything else, being it was my first time. Our tab was $72, Treasure Chest $38 & 2lbs of crawfish $30. We asked, Brittany to split the check. Brittany is accidentally charged the entire tab to my card, then voided the charge. Went back & charge my card the $36 & my friend $36, explaining to ME the $72 "Hold" should fall off my credit card by Monday if not, call them back. The fact my service started at a 5 & immediately went to one! This wasn't a good experience. The Crawfish was okay. You have to shake the crawfish bag, making sure the juicy flavors covers everything. I did taste the Treasure Chest, it was flavored better than my crawfish. Do better Pirate's Boil. When a customer like myself asking if you take coupons, then Pirates Boil, as a courtesy, should explain to the customer, what needs to be ordered, for that discount. Don't assume.

I had a bit of a crave for seafood and found out that this place was nearby home..I decided to order a little bit of everything!! We dined in and our service was OUTSTANDING!! I got the: Dungeness Voyage with the Pirates secret sauce: AMAZING!!! 1/2 lb Shrimp (Head Off), 1 clst Dungeness Crab, 1/2 dozen Andouille Sausages, 2 Eggs, 2 Corns, 2 Potatoes I even had ordered a soju drink that made my visit well worth it!! I will definitely be back to cure my craves for seafood!!

I've come to this location a few times. The food and service are always excellent, and the quality for the money spent is well worth it. I generally get the Treasure Chest with the Pirates seasoning and a catfish basket. It's definitely enough to share and fulfilling. I always enjoy my time here, I will def come back.

I've ordered The Pirate's Boil on Uber Eats and it's been delicious. This time I decided to go to the restaurant. There's plenty of free parking and the restaurant is big with plenty of tables. We were seated right away. The server brought us water and gave us time to look over the menu. We ordered Adult Capris for drinks and then for our meal we got Dungeness Voyage and a build your own combo. Our food came out quickly, but the server forgot our drinks (she told us she forgot them). Once we got our food and drinks, we never saw the server again until it was time to pay. Once she came back to the table I was able to clarify how many eggs I should've gotten in my meal and realized that one was missing. She said "it's too late you should've told me when you started eating, not an hour later." She never came to our table or in the vicinity the whole time we were eating so there was no way to let her know. She dismissed the fact that she wasn't around and asked if we were paying together or separate. We said together but she still brought separate checks. I would go back for the food but service could've been better.

I enjoy this place, after several visits I come here for my crawfish fix. I usually sit at the bar and service is fast. Friendly staff and never too packed

My date and I went on a Saturday around 4PM and was immediately seated. The inside is clean and parking was effortless. We ordered the "Master of the sea" and requested it in to be separated into two separate bags bc neither one of us can eat the entire order alone. Lol. She ate the crawfish and crabs. I ate the shrimp and sausage. We got medium and the spice was reflective of the level. I'm used to eating Louisiana seafood and this is the best boil I've had in the state of georgia so far. The prices are fair. The only price that was a little much for me was if you order snow crab alone it cost $17.50 per claw. I don't drink anything aside to wine so the drink wasn't the best for me but my date loved it. It's referred to as an adult caprisun and I love the idea. The size and alcohol content is appropriate for the price. I'm surprised they don't charge $15-$18. Our waiter was nice and the food came out fast. I will be back.

My friends have been there before and love it. They got the boil. I got the fried whiting and I didn't love it. The coating was very hard and the oil seemed a little old. I may go back for the king crab legs. Not happy to have to pay for hush puppies. They should come with the meal but they tasted good. It's very spacious and you get gloves so your hands don't get messy.

The Pirate's Boil is a great restaurant. I was shocked by the amount of flavor and consistency this restaurant offers. This has become one of my fave go to spots. I've tried the shrimp poboy with fries, various seafood combos (crawfish, dungeoness crabs, crabs, shrimp) with pirate's secret seasoning and boiled eggs and corn. The shrimp poboy was absolutely amazing! The bread was toasted and it is a large serving with plump shrimp. I love the flavor of the pirate's secret seasoning! The food options are super affordable and come with huge portions. The drinks are also really delicious! There is ample parking available and service is really good besides the first time that I went.
