10 Literary Cafés, Pubs, and Restaurants to Feed Your Muse

"A small plot of land, originally a botanical garden modeled after the Chelsea Botanical Garden in London, England, is now home to the Pirates’ House, a Savannah restaurant and one of the oldest standing buildings in Georgia. In 1734, a small building was built on the plot of land to house the gardener who worked there. But in 1753, as Savannah revealed itself to be a port town, it was decided the botanical garden was no longer needed and this structure was the start of the Pirate House Inn, where it’s rumored seamen and pirates alike drank and shared stories of their adventures at sea. The modern-day restaurant was established in the early 1950s and welcomes Savannahians and tourists alike to enjoy an extensive southern-inspired seafood menu, served by waitresses in full pirate garb in one of the 15 separate dining rooms. The atmosphere remains true to a pirate’s inn, with maps, helms, flags and skulls hanging on the walls, as well as some of the original dining sets protected in glass cases. The current owners like to say that Captain Flint, a pirate mentioned in the book Treasure Island by Robert Louis Stevenson, died in the upstairs bedroom, and that his ghost still haunts the building. Haunted or not, visitors can see rare early edition pages of the novel hanging on the walls of the Captain’s Room and the Treasure Room." - ATLAS_OBSCURA

We enjoyed walking around the restaurant. It’s very cool inside. We didn’t have to wait to be seated but reservations are probably a good idea because they got busy. The menu had so many choices on it. The buffet was good and had tasty options on it. The sweet potatoes and fried chicken were very good. The buffet comes with dessert as well! The peach cobbler was amazing!! The gumbo was full of flavor and delicious as well. They have merchandise for sale upstairs. Lots of cool pictures from the past!

Google
The Pirate's House offers a unique dining experience filled with history and delicious food. There is a wonderful variety on the menu that incorporates southern charm with a touch of Pirate's! Pirate's wander through the dining room and are willing to share the history of the area, as well as some great pirate and ghost stories! (Tips.. are appreciated... they are Pirate's after all!) Overall, it is an amazing dining experience for all ages! Because the facility is older, and built in stages, there are several small steps to be aware of between the various rooms, but the staff are quick to let you know to watch for them.

Google
Great option for a meal in Savannah! Food was great, especially the honey pecan fried chicken. A nice little spin on the classic dish. Loved the honey glazed biscuits that were brought out prior to the meal. Good size place but seems well run with solid service. Early day buffet looked great too. They do take reservations so a good idea to do that to eliminate your wait. Also has a large gift shop upstairs with stuff for the kids.

Google
What a fun place to visit and eat!! The history behind this restaurant is so interesting and they lean into so perfectly. You definitely have to visit the upstairs gift shop for some cool finds. The meal here was amazing! The grouper with a sweet Thai sauce was outstanding. A perfect balance between sweet and heat. The swordfish was also very delicious and a nice sized portion. We finished the meal with a shareable sized piece of fresh key lime pie. Perfect end to our meal. A most important aspect of the meal was the service. Michael, our server, was kind, attentive and very personable. He is definitely a HUGE asset to this establishment. Thank you Michael for making it a perfect experience for us!!!!

Google
The food was okay but way too overpriced. For once I got the “fresh catch” or whatever it is called, which was a sawfish so I was excited because I never tried it. It honestly didn’t disappoint but it was so tiny and totally not worth it for more than $50. My wife thought we would get a whole fish 🤣. I just expected more for this kind of money. The crab soup was good.

Wendy M

Google
Food and waiter were great! Def make reservations online before you go! The gift shop upstairs was pretty cool! I was shocked to see how big the place really was! Even the place mats had some information about the history of the house and a pirate walking around! I got filet and it was cooked to perfection! The bread was also really good! Great for kids! Free Parking right outside of restaurants!

Google
Typical tourist restaurant. Food was overpriced, edible but not remarkable. The wife ordered the crab cake and shrimp, she said the shrimp were flavorful but dry and crab cake was not bad but looked like it was scooped from pan and the grits were just cooked grits with no flavor. I order the blackened snapper and the blackening was not very blackened more like pan fried. The mashed potatoes were terrible. Collards were edible. You can see from the pictures the meals were not very pleasing to the eye. Skip it if you’re looking for a place to eat, but if you like the pirate history and touristy motifs and gift shop your power to you.

Google
I thought it would be a bit different, more stories about this place. They had one pirate walking to each table, which wasn't funny for 4 adults, who wanted to know a bit more about the history. The food was okay and the prices were reasonable.

Yelp
We liked it. Had to let the hubs write this review. His thoughts: "Yarrr. It was ye good eating establishment and yon drinks were tasty! Yarr! We had a group of 12, and it was a fun experience. The place has maybe 10 different dining rooms because it is several colonial buildings combined. An old pirates den, it has a fascinating history, which can be read on the menu. The food itself was pretty tasty overall; got the famous fried chicken and peach salmon; and the servers were helpful. If you get the chance to check out the rum cellar, do it! We visited this place as part of a ghost tour and the guide continued the tour inside the pirates house. We weren't sure what the fuss about this place was before coming to Savannah, but it turned out to be a good place to experience."

Yelp
We loved this place! Our server (I can't remember her name) was excellent. (Female 50's glasses with a short bob like hair cut!) We did not have a reservation but they were able to seat us right away. We were seated near the rum cellar entrance which was super fun! They brought out a basket of corn muffins and biscuits. This were SO delicious! The honey butter and marmalade we're outstanding! We ordered a fried chicken and the she crab soup both to share. Both were excellent. The pecans on the chicken were such a delicious touch. My only critique would be that the vegetables on the plate were kind of an afterthought. They were mushy and flavorless but it did not matter because the chicken was so good. Near the end of our dinner a ghost tour started a tour in the rum cellar. They turned on the lights and entered the rum cellar. It looked like such fun! After dinner we wondered the restaurant and looked at the artifacts. In the very front room with 3 or 4 tables and a fire place (near the restrooms), we felt an odd sensation that I cannot describe but it sent shivers down my back. Was it real or in my head? I have no idea but it was fun!

Yelp
This was our best meal in town. It has an amazing history. Make a reservation! It matters. The wait staff were wonderful. The food was yummy and plentiful. Wish we had found them earlier in our visit as we would have returned.

Yelp
Wait Time: we were quoted an hour and waited exactly an hour so it was pretty accurate, we visited the gift shop upstairs which was extremely hot and not really much to buy that wasn't little trinkets. Mainly people killing time due to the long wait. We were a family of four. Sadly after waiting all that time for a nice view inside of the old house and the history to observe we were sat in the bar with our kids. So the long anticipated waiting to sit in a cool area to observe for the kids turned into people talking loudly instead around the bar. We don't get the whole atmosphere of this restaurant as anticipated on our visit to town. Food came out promptly after ordering. Gumbo was cooked well and had the perfect amount of spices, however the rice was very old and dry in a pile. Fried chicken was absolutely amazing. Tasteful and worth the $$ for sure. Ahi tuna was very tasty and came out with a beautiful display. The amount of information that is given on the placemats were also extremely interesting about the house itself.

Yelp
I'll start by saying the location is pretty cool. It includes the oldest building in Savannah (the Herb House). Also, our server was very nice and apologetic about several things. First, the Internet was out, so everything was quite slow. Second, we were told we could walk around and when we did, they cleared our entire table so we had to wait for our drinks to be delivered a second time. The food was below average. I had the catch of the day, which was sword fish. The serving was pretty thin and over cooked. It came with fingerling potatoes, which were basically raw. Very tough. Likewise, the broccolini was very tough and could barely be cut with a knife. I added a side of mashed sweet potatoes and they were ice cold. We also had the pork chops, which were severely over cooked. I haven't seen pork that dry and gray in quite some time. We were excited to try the Pirates' House but were very disappointed. We will not be returning.

Yelp
We have visited the Pirates House several times on trips to Savannah, most recently October 2024. We had a short amount of time before heading to a family reunion on St Simons, so a buffet was perfect. We brought all the cousins and were thrilled that they loved it as much as we did!! We had forgotten about the little desserts so that was a treat. We arrived at 11am with reservations on Opentable so food was very fresh!

Yelp
My husband and I ate here because my mother and my late uncle recommended it. The ambiance alone gets it 5 stars - historical and epic! The staff had great suggestions and is very knowledgeable about the menu. The She Crab Soup was our favorite. The food and drinks are exactly what we hoped for. We only had one night in Savannah this trip, and this restaurant was absolutely perfect! We'll be back when we visit again.

Yelp
Dined here as part of a Haunted Pirate Tour with family. Our host ("Nevis") was extremely knowledgeable and witty. Dinner would be at Pirates House, which we had never been to before. HUGE portions. Very well prepared, and service on point. Ambiance was warm and harkened to the days of piracy. Only issue was that entrees were quite sweet. Prepared perfectly, but the savory was lost to the sweet sauces/glazes. That said, I ate every last bite of the perfectly prepared chicken and sides! Will definitely return separate from a tour. This was a cool experience, and felt immersive as far at the history of the place and city. Thank you, Pirates House and "Nelvis."

Yelp
We booked a room here for a company dinner, and everything we ordered was great! I highly recommend the fried green tomatoes and the crap dip to start. I had the seared Ahi Tuna for my entree, (see pic) and it was fantastic! Some of my people got the key lime pie and the creme brûlée, which I didn't have but they all looked great!
google avatar

Manuel M.

Yelp
Good place good food, kinda hidden out of the way, but definitely worth trying if you are in town.
google avatar

Nyla S.

Yelp
The ambiance definitely matches the name. I feel the pirates all throughout the restaurant and the originality of the oldest building in Savannah is amazing. We started with crab dip and beef carpaccio and to my surprise the beef carpaccio was amazing but the crab dip lacked flavor. Even their choice of bread was flavorless and I wish the bread that was on the beef carpaccio was on the dip as well. Our meals were decent, but they lacked flavor on the sides. The protein was more of a hit but I'm glad the salt and pepper shakers were on the table because they were much needed. Our server wasn't too bad but he didn't blow my mind either, he just seemed like he needed a little seasoning in his personality. But, the host were very friendly and inviting so that's a plus. Overall the company I was with made the experience great and I would come back and try their fried chicken and get the beef carpaccio for an appetizer again for sure.

Yelp
Glad to have experienced The Pirate's House last Saturday :) For being the oldest house in Georgia -- over 250 years old -- they've kept the place as close to the original as possible, which is very impressive. We arrived at the end of the lunch menu, beginning dinner menu, so we missed the buffet but got to try a little of both. Note: If you go during regular lunch hours, you get to eat from the buffet which is under $20 for adults and under $10 for children -- unheard of these days!!! The food was superbly yummy. My absolute favorites were the She Crab Soup appetizer and the Honey Pecan Chicken entrée. We will definitely return!

Yelp
I was last here as a child almost 60 years ago. This is a historic place. The service was outstanding. We ate at a table in the bar. Day B. was exceptional as well as the bartender. The seafarer soup was great and the 1776 burger. There was a lunch buffet offered but didn't look appealing to us. We felt special here and it made for a great time in a special place.

Yelp
I struggle with this rating but I have to do it. I grew up going to The Pirate House for lunch any time we were in Savannah. An unplanned stop in the area and I was able to score a dinner reservation so was excited. The atmosphere of the restaurant is always great, although I'm disappointed that every time I've gone none of the ghosts were around. I started with Chatham Artillery Punch. I felt like that just kept pouring things in a tub to make a cocktail. I understand this drink is like over 200 years old, with some modifications. My best description is "unique" I didn't love it, didn't hate it, but was interesting to taste such a historic drink. I had planned on ordering the Savannah shrimp until I was told by the server "you can get fried shrimp anywhere" so I asked about the shrimp & grits and got a lecture of how different it is in low country. I'm from the south. I've had plenty of shrimp & grits but thanks for the lecture. Unfortunately he failed to tell me that theirs is some of the worst. These shrimp & grits were just not good. No seasoning on the shrimp, no flavor in the grits. All around pretty poor. The portion was also a joke for $28. I sent a pic to a friend who asked if I ordered an appetizer. I should honestly have sent them back, but I hate to do that on personal preference so I just grabbed the salt & pepper and made the most of it. It based on food alone; I would have given this a 2 at most. The atmosphere and my previous experience allowed me to push this to a 3. I will likely come back just because I've enjoyed it in the past but I'll never order the shrimp and grits and would never recommend it. As the waiter told me how good this dish is in the low country; I'll find the better ones next time.

Yelp
Went here as part of a trolly ghost tour so we had a limited menu. However, the portions were very large and the selection was good. I had the honey pecan crusted fried chicken. It came with mixed vegetables and mashed sweet potatoes. I also had a house salad with balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The chicken was so juicy and had a great pecan crust. The potatoes were good but were really sweet and the veggies could have used a little more seasoning. The portion was a half chicken though and it was the star of the show. We also got a bread basket. We were able to see the old rum cellar. The restaurant does have a bar area and also a gift shop. There are several dining rooms. Overall, the food was very good and our server was good as well.

Yelp
I can't express what a great time I had at the Pirates House. 2 person party and had reservations but just decided to enjoy the dinner at the bar. The bartenders made the service make you want to not sit in the main dining but we still took a peek in. We ordered fried calamari 8/10, shrimp & grits was so good and ahi tuna. Everything was Delicious. We decided to hang around and the resident pirate gave a quick tour of the building. I'm glad we stayed for it, I love history!!!
google avatar

Heath A.

Yelp
Just dropped in for an Artillery Punch as part of our Savannah punch crawl. It was pretty good. Not too fruity, not too jet fuelly. Perfect balance. Definitely recommend. History of the Pirates' House is pretty cool, too.‍
google avatar

Laurie H.

Yelp
I cannot say yay or nay to this restaurant. We were on a ghost tour, and this was our final destination for a dinner that was already planned for us by the tour itself. I ordered a pecan crusted piece of fish with mashed potatoes and a medley of vegetables. The fish was very fishy, and I only had a few bites before I decided not to eat any more of it. The rolls that they served with dinner came with a honey butter, and they were fresh out of the oven, so they were very delicious... nothing special about the house salad The service was horrible! The young lady that had our table kept forgetting about us, water was not refreshed, and she never came in to check on our meals to see how we were doing. It seemed very rushed! I would like to try this place again, but going on my own and not with some sort of tour. The service and the menu might be better.
google avatar

Yelp
My sister and I decided to have dinner here last night on our last night in Savannah. It really didn't disappoint. Our waitress was AMAZING I wish I remembered her name. She said she has worked there for 15 years. We got the tourist mug drinks for something fun. My sister got the catch of the day and I got the fried chicken. Both were so good. I got Key Lime pie and Pecan pie to go and both were delicious later on. The ambiance of this place is great and it looks like they do tours as well. I recommend this place for anyone visiting town.

Yelp
First of all. We walked in and this place looks amazing. You can tell its from the 1700s and we loved it. The Pirate theme is on point and my kids soaked it all in. The staff is amazing and friendly. They have a gift shop and everything. That being said the food here is really not worth the price. The charge you $30-50 an entree for what is probably 1/2 a meals worth. Which almost forces you to get a $15-20 appetizer. The meals themselves weren't anything to write home about either. The pork tenderloin was good and tender and the salmon was ok but not worth the cost and the mashed sweet potatoes taste like baby food. The kids meals were ok, my oldest liked the burger and the younger ones didn't really like the chicken. We definitely wouldn't go back. Dropping $100 on dinner for us is a rare occasion and we need to know the food will be worth it. Sadly here it isn't.
google avatar

Andy S.

Yelp
Over priced food that was not worth the value $$$$ of the meal & a real bummer & food was cold too ! The only good thing was the She Crab Bisque!!!!!!
google avatar

Rajshankar L.

Yelp
Reviews coming from vegetarians. They made us fettuccine though it wasn't on the menu. I just say it tasted wonderful. The kids menu was great. Not expensive and a must try in your visit to Savannah! Oh by the way they have wonderful cocktails/Mocktails too.

Yelp
Visiting for Vacation 11/2024 The Food: We ordered the pecan-glazed fried chicken, and the portion was huge--so much that we ended up sharing one plate! The chicken was perfectly juicy, with a delicious glaze that added a unique, flavorful touch. For a drink, I tried the dark & stormy, but it wasn't quite to my taste. The Ambience: The Pirate's House is steeped in history! The staff was friendly and encouraged us to explore the space, which made the experience even more special. I loved their merch selection, but unfortunately, the store was closed by the time I visited.
google avatar

Tammi W.

Yelp
Food was great and the she crab soup was truly amazing. You can see the underground tunnel here.
google avatar

Gina D.

Yelp
The buffet is amazing. The fried chicken is some of the best I've had ever the buffet gave a great variety. Drinks were strong and delicious service was good. The kids loved seeing the staff dressed up. Definitely make a reservation if you can because it is a tourist attraction but totally worth going.
google avatar

Gene W.

Yelp
First off, lunch buffet in a historical building setting for $19 can't be beat. The food items at this buffet are limited, but all the dishes are fresh, hot & pretty tasty. There are 2 warming tables, each about 8 feet long. The meat choices were fried chicken, baked chicken, and fried tilapia filets. Sides included collard greens, green beans, baked tomato-based pasta with cheese, stewed tomatoes & okra, mash potatoes & gravy, black-eye peas, and a yellow rice. All items were very good, though I wish they would replace the baked chicken with a beef or pork dish. The desserts provided at meal's end were miniscule but very tasty. Given that this is a self-serve lunch buffet, the dining experience was leisurely. The waitstaff were super-friendly and down-to-earth. The actual restaurant is a historical building and a bit of a maze, but cool to wander around. Plenty of seating and car parking, except maybe during tourist season and/or busiest meal time. If you're not in the mood for this super-value buffet, a lunch menu with well-priced Southern specialties is available to order from.
google avatar

Karen W.

Yelp
Excellent service and good food. The waiter was very attentive. The buffet does not include any drinks. The buffet table is rather small. I wish there were more selections of food items. However, the fried chicken and fried fish were very good. The chicken is well-seasoned. The baked chicken is drier. At the end of the meal, we had two choices for dessert: peach cobbler and strawberry cake. The strawberry cake is very thin. The Pirate House is like a maze with many different separate rooms. There is a large gift shop on the second floor. There was supposed to be a free pirate tour, but we did not see the pirate. We were a little disappointed.

Yelp
It was my first time having She Crab soup and it was delicious! This is ended up inspiring me to carry out my own personal mission, to find the best She-Crab soup in the city. So far , this still topped the list. The service was prompt and efficient. The ambiance was quite dark, however the coolest thing is that there was somewhat of a presence.... Whether you believe in that sort of thing or not. It was mostly surrounding the oldest part of the building which seemed like it was another house inside of a house . Quite cool ! They also had given us quite the informational presentation about the place. The cocktails were also excellent!
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
Service was friendly, prompt, and professional. Food was excellent. Ambiance 8 out of 10. Worth the trip.
google avatar

Steve M.

Yelp
We stopped here after passing it on a sightseeing trolley tour. The restaurant has authentic style design with a lot of wood architecture. We got seated and started with the fried green tomatoes. They came on top of a crab mixture. Very tasty when having both. For the main I had the chicken gumbo which was tasty and very filling. Lots of chicken and a lot of sausage and veggies. The wife had a seafood wrap which contained seasoned snapper with a great sauce . She thought it was great and a good portion. Our waiter Ronald was great and took care of us. Would return when traveling through Savannah !
google avatar

Melissa S.

Yelp
The famous pecan chicken was delicious! My husband's steak which was ordered medium was well done. He didn't even have to ask the waitress/bartender was so observant she had it re made promptly! We rarely ask for food to be re made, if ever so this was a very kind and detailed observation and offer. When we got the bill she took off items because we weren't able to eat together. This is what true hospitality feels like! If I could give them 10 stars I would not just for the flavor of the food but their kindness! And, the 2nd steak was cooked and flavored to perfection! The pirate house is fun and the ambiance is true old historic Savannah! The kids thought it was awesome to use our ghost finding app while there and kept commenting on the house being haunted. We all had a great time!

Yelp
The Pirates House Savannah took me on a voyage of flavor. We set sail with great ambiance and theming. The waiter was a little odd, would like some better service in this sea. Overall a thrilling adventure, the pirate lady was very authentic.
google avatar

Sara S.

Yelp
I didn't eat here. I was outside catching a Trolly. They say it's Historical. The outside looked old & original. I'm not in to haunted places. This was in Savannah Georgia
google avatar

Jill M.

Yelp
Loved this place for lunch. The drinks were great. The buffet was amazing. Southern comfort food for the win. We loved our server. We love the haunted history. They have a pirate to show you around and give you a tour. Such a cool place.

Yelp
Fantastic meal I had the Chicken Gumbo for dinner and the Skull Crusher rum punch to wash it down. The meal portion was great so bring your appetite.

Yelp
Excellent drinks and food. I would highly recommend the fried green tomatoes. the ambiance is friendly and inviting.

Yelp
This was our first visit to The Pirate's House. I loved that the placemats gave you so many details about the history of the restaurant and that you could take your time viewing the different rooms. Our server was amazing, she was very friendly and efficient- kept our beverages full, etc. I ordered the Crab Melt and wasn't impressed. The crab flavor was weak at best, the main taste was the cheese, and the texture was too creamy. You had the option of homemade chips, fries, or fruit. I chose the chips, I felt they were bland. my husband ordered the Shrimp Parmesan and it was delicious, especially the sauce. I felt the ambiance was fun, but a bit overrated. With so many food options available in Savannah I doubt we will go back.

Mary S.

Yelp
After hearing great things about this restaurant on different Facebook groups, we decided to give it a try. It was easy to make a reservation for the same day. The inside is spooky since it is one of the most haunted places in Savannah. We ordered Shirley temples and they were fine. We tried the crab dip, Parmesan crusted trout, and the pecan fried chicken. Unfortunately, we didn't like anything we tried. The crab and fish was overly fishy and had an "off" taste. It seemed like it wasn't fresh at all. We couldn't eat more than a bite or two. The chicken was overly sweet and sticky. It was swimming in a pool of sugar syrup. We would not recommend eating here, especially for the high prices. It was our least favorite dinner in Savannah and we were super disappointed overall.
google avatar

Eileen H.

Yelp
I cannot recommend this place enough. The fried chicken was AMAZING and I still have dreams of it, haha! The Pulled Pork and Collard egg rolls were also out of this world. I highly suggest both! The ambience is historic and I loved reading the story about it. Our server had a great personality and did a great job at keeping our glasses full! There is plenty of off-street parking available here as well. I do suggest reservations - you can make them online or give a call.

Yelp
Fun place for lunch or dinner. Old house with interesting pirate stories. Food was fresh, service was excellent. Great experience!

Yelp
The Pirates' House in Savannah is a true gem, blending history with Southern charm in a way that's unforgettable. Housed in one of the oldest buildings in Georgia, its rustic architecture and fascinating ghost stories give it an intriguing edge. Our server, Zach, was fantastic--attentive, friendly, and eager to share tales of the restaurant's pirate lore, which added so much to our experience. While the food was a bit hit-or-miss, there were definite highlights. The fried green tomatoes were incredible--crispy, tangy, and perfectly Southern. The she-crab soup also hit the mark, rich and creamy with comforting flavors. Though some dishes could use a bit more flair, The Pirates' House still delivered an experience worth remembering, thanks to the incredible ambiance and Zach's top-notch service. It's a place you'll want to visit again, especially for the history and the Southern classics that do shine.

Yelp
The food was decent, not anything great plus the buffet was cold. History and atmosphere was awesome and our service was on point. The kids enjoyed asking about ghost stories and taking photos at the historic spots. The kids menu turns into pirate hats and accessories and they each picked a pirate coin from the gift shop afterwards.

Yelp
The biscuits and cornbread were delicious! Nice and soft with tasty honey butter. The fried chicken was crispy and juicy. My husband loved the sweet potatoes. Overall service was very quick! We ordered and less than 5 minutes our food was out. It's in a historic building in Savannah. Supposedly the oldest in the city! Terry was our server and he was very friendly.

Yelp
We enjoyed it! Inside there were tons of rooms and I liked that various stories were posted throughout the place to tell you about what the room was used for or local legend etc. The food was good! Server was attentive and fun. A little loud inside with all the people, but it was a nice time!

Yelp
The service here (Conor) was excellent! In addition to super attentive service there was a "Pirate" walking from table to table engaging us in entertaining conversation! Our group had the delicious friend green tomatoes, moist and flavorful chicken tenders, shrimp& grits, an "ok" crab cake sandwich (the bun was WAY to big / too much bread for the size of crab cake) & 1776 burger was a large, well cooked burger that was somewhat bland with skimpy condiments (mushrooms) and two kids entrees. The atmosphere and gift shop added to the fun experience, especially for the little kids!

Yelp
If you're looking for adventure try the Pirate's House. It's the oldest building in Georgia and the food is wonderful. Start off with a tasty appetizer or two and share a main dish as they are big enough for 2 and you really need to try as much of the food as possible. We had the shecrab bisque and the blackened shrimps as appetizers then the crab cakes and shrimp entree which was delicious and filling. Had to have Georgia's pecan pie ala mode for dessert. Drinks are well made and the ambience was superb. Get your reservations in early to enjoy true southern hospitality.

Yelp
So no expectations because I have no restaurant experience here in Savannah. First restaurant visit and BAM! The fried tomatoes were to die for! Super yum! Calamari was so fresh and tasty! And the she crab soup was like heaven! Wait for it... our group of four all got different dishes, the catch of the day, seafood platter, superfood salad w protein and salmon and everything, everything, Everything was excellent(not just good...EXCELLENT)!
