The Pit Stop Sports Bar & BBQ Grill

Place is too small for its current customer base I did come on a Thursday night where they do poker so it could have been busier than usual. service was slow but the one waitress had a lot of customers to deal with so that’s understandable. One annoying part is that the bar and the restaurant have you use separate tabs for each area. This place also has slot machines for those who like to partake. Would recommend, will be going again. Wish I could rate this 9/10 instead of 4/5 😭

Nice people w a relaxed fun atmosphere for a local sports bar. Service was great. The food wasn’t great. My sandwich was very ok and I was told it was very popular. But the fries. How do you screw up fries? No seasoning. Mushy. Disappointing.

Took a chance on this place as we were hungry at lunch time. What a pleasant surprise! Great atmosphere, good variety of beers and drink specials. And what a menu! Could not decide on having the Friday fish and chips or a BBQ plate! Decided on the bbq plate. It was perfect! And the Mac and cheese is too notch! We will be back when we are on that side of town .

Karaoke night, always fun to listen to the greatest being belt out by happy pub visitors. Positive atmosphere and great service. Delicious fried pickles and Mac n cheese. Had one drink this time, was just as expected and will definitely be back.

We’ve been coming to this bar since 2015. Pit is a great local spot for drinks and yummy food. Sunny, a wonderful bartender, makes you feel welcomed and I will continue to come here every time I crave a drink because of HER! She is the light of the bar and literally the “sunshine” I need! and she always welcomes you with a smile on her face. Thank you Sunny & pitstop for being a great local drinking spot!

Stopped in to use my secret red envelope.. Got a free appetizer, Thank you Harris, Great pulled pork sliders, Friendly staff, And large open or tented seating in parking lot. Got two enjoy a little sunshine while enjoying great food.

I really like this little place! Nice, chill atmosphere with a separate bar and dining area. The food was pretty good..I thought the mac needed some salt but my husband liked it as is and I thought the sliders were delish but my husband wasn't that impressed but he still gobbled it down lol fish was AMAZING so..4 stars for the mixed reviews. Great, strong drink and a quick friendly waitress/bartender..my husband and I will definitely be back to check out the pool tables!

I have an amazing experience every time when I come with friends! Sunny is the most attentive bartender and is very sweet every time I have come in and will keep coming back just to see her! She helped me specifically find a new favorite drink and made me have a good experience since turning 21!

The Pit Stop is more of a sports bar than a restaurant, however the food is much better than typical bar food standards. The tacos were on point! My husband enjoys singing karaoke so we stopped by on Saturday night. Todd, the VJ, did an amazing job interacting with the crowd and keeping a positive vibe flowing throughout the night. He provided rotations that gave anyone that wanted to sing multiple opportunities to sing whatever songs they love. This was definitely one of our best karaoke nights out in the area and we will be visiting again soon.

Make a quick stop at The Pit Stop and you won't be disappointed. It's everything you're looking for in a local sports bar including some pretty reasonable daily deals like a pint of Budweiser and a shot of Bulleit bourbon for $10 on Wednesdays. A group of friends and I went for the trivia game and we had a blast. Clearly there are frequent fliers who attend because it seemed like everyone knew each other. It had that classic "Cheers" atmosphere where everyone knows your name. Better than expected and definitely on the list to go back to for another round of Last Call Trivia!

Big fans of Pitstop trivia!!! We've been coming for the past few months, and it's a great time. Cool chill spot, not too crazy. A good selection of drink options, and a good crew of regulars. Trivia is Wednesdays at 7:00, on the dot! Definitely a great spot to hang, definitely divey. It is what you'd expect in that category. Food is okay, not outstanding but some solid options at a fair price!

:/ I really don't like leaving negative anything but the smell in my house after getting this food delivered is like a crime scene. This definitely is not a clean barbecue place. I would not recommend this place place at all, and I eat it all kinds of different restaurants . but the way money is and people are living paycheck to paycheck and we have no extra money so when we do eat out, we want to make sure we don't get food poisoning or ripped off this place is foul. I'm just gonna leave it at that do not order from here and do not eat there. Get the smell out of my house and my clothes because this is not barbecue. This is crime scene.

This review is just for the bar area. The employees were super friendly. This place had all that you could want. Beer, a fill bar, food available, tvs with sports on and lottery games. I'd go back for those offerings.... the service really made the place.... but I want to try the food next time.

I go every week for the karaoke and delicious food. First, the menu includes bar standards, comfort food, and awesome barbecue. Second, the KJ has an extensive collection of songs, and actually cares whether the participants have a good time. Once you sing, you're in the rotation for the rest of the night, and can choose your song at the last minute. If there are few participants, he doesn't stall with "filler" music; instead, we get to sing more often. Karaoke occurs in the dining area, so we're not interferering with customers in the bar area. I left my previous karaoke spot because I was older than its target demographic and my mother and I often felt left out. The would never happen at The Pit Stop.

I went during happy hour. A few other co-workers arrived first and they got their drinks. Then me and my other coworker arrived and had to wait for a long time before they realized we were there. Another two coworkers came later and we had to call for them to come over. It didn't look like they were busy as one table was already done eating and maybe a few people were in the bar area instead of the sitting/table area. We had a total of 6 people and we had to ask for menus. We got 2 menus...for 6 people. I ordered take out and they gave me the receipt first since I had to leave early. No thank you whatsoever, just put my food on the table and receipt. I ordered their clam chowder as they only have it on Fridays. It was very good. Not too heavy and it had a lot of clams. For $5, it was good. But keep in mind, they also give you garlic bread, which was an additional $0.75. The price was fine but I didn't know as they didn't ask if I wanted it or not, especially it wasn't free. Also, take out containers costs money, too so I had to pay $7 in the end. I like their clam chowder and it's hard to find good chowder but I don't know if it's worth going.

BEST PLACE to watch a game in the area and food is great. Honestly one of the best value bars in the area.

Stoped on a whim, glad we did!! Classic sports bar, lots of TVs, lots of indoor and outdoor seating, horse shoe bar, poker machines. Got it all going on, but the absolute best, the happy hour menu!! And on a Saturday no less! Happy hour on weekend, unheard of!! Prices were cheap! We shared a burger&fries-chicken Cesar salad- and pretzels with fondue. I know it's a lot! But we like to share and get to try more options. Plenty of food. We loved it all!! Check out pics. Not in our neighborhood, but would make the trip again!

I've only been here for 2 weeks and I yelped this place is down from where I'm staying. I'm so glad I went to go check this place out! So many food choices! Love it! Never had anything bad! French dip was so good! Garlic tator tots! So very accommodating and friendly people! Got to see my Colorado AVS WIN TONIGHT! Belle and I will be back!

Our waitress is really what made the experience spectacular. She was a hustler, very polite and accommodating with a great sense of humor. Drinks were well made with a few traditional specials that I would rank above average. Other restaurants tend to give you the equivalent of fermented orange juice and call it a mimosa. I was not thrilled with the food but definitely open to giving the menu another try. I may have had very high expectations based on a friends review. That said... if you are looking for a place with a lively atmosphere to watch a game... this is a great option.

So I ordered takeout. A pescatarian - who doesn't eat any other meat. From a BBQ Place. yep. I ordered the fish and chips, and I loved it! There was enough fish and chips for two people (I'm a big eater - and I was full, so that's saying something). I also ordered the Mozzarella Sticks, because I had no idea how big the fish and chips would be - very good (TGIFridays kind of good mozz sticks). I don't know about anything else on the menu, or the staff, but at least I know if I ever go in person what I'll order.

Loved the fun atmosphere and delicious food. There's TV's everywhere to watch multiple games and if you're not into watching...there's slot machines!! The night I visited there was karaoke and plenty of seating so bring your friends and fun family! Lots of choices at the bar including beer and spirits which loosens the vocal cords for karaoke. When you get munchies you can try out the Mac n cheese with bacon or the fried pickles which were super yummy. They have different specials every day so check those out. Outside seating is available when it's a little warmer. I'll be back, maybe I'll see you there!!

Never have I ever been to any place to eat and they ask you for a card to hold for a tab UPFRONT! Waitress ID's us and immediately after asks my boyfriend if he wants to give her a card for our "tab" . We didn't even look at the menu yet and was asked for a card. It was a very awkward exchange. My boyfriend said what if we are paying with cash?? And she said "that's fine, we just have certain rules at this bar" said in a weird tone (passive aggressive) We told her we are paying cash. As far as food. It looks really good but the flavor is not there. We got the buffalo chick Mac, potato skins and pulled pork sliders , all were okay just BLAND! Upon leaving I was watching the game and noticed two customers she brought there bill out to , non of them had a card left for a "tab". They got the bill and pulled out there card. I'm not sure if this is a race thing but i also wouldn't put it past it. it just felt and seemed weird to me . Like does this lady think we're gonna dine and dash ??? Anyways we tipped her Nicely and left , won't be back tho.

Great place to watch a game. I had breakfast and even though the place was slammed, the service was very good. Sports bar atmosphere with plenty of screens. Would like to come back and try the barbecue.

Ordered take out from here, 3 pulled pork sliders and garlic parm tots and I was surprised at how good the food was. The pulled pork sliders were so flavorful and juicy, the tots were great as well. Definitely eating here again

ok food, but not the place to go if you're an Oregon Duck football fan. I've been there a couple of times when both the duck and Oklahoma games are on at the same time and they have the Oklahoma game on the giant main tv screen with full sound in the big main room and relegated the Oregon game to a small screen over the bar..... ridiculous!!! Couldn't even hear the Oregon game much less find a decent seat to watch the ducks. I saw a group of six customers walk in to watch the ducks and promptly leave when they discovered that the Oklahoma game was blaring in the main room and there were no seats available around the tiny bar. Apperntly the owner loves Oklahoma...why else make such a dumb business decision?

OK just went back and had a great time and sat inside cuz the Black Dog was hot. I is a social place and so dog friendly. Food was excellent and the pulled pork sliders and wraps. So Sunny P was fabulous and so cute and funny. She is a perfect fit.

Stopped by for a quick lunch. Fast, friendly service. Great shrimp! Will definitely be back!

The Pit Stop. We live 1.5 miles away. Never had tried it before. Today was our lucky day. It's always fun to find a place that you like.... And excited to try again. The food was really good. I'm not a breakfast food fan. So I tried the Cuban sandwich. Yum! The pulled pork is amazing. Bartender is super cute and efficient. I'm almost positive she will know our "usual" very soon. Great place.

The food was fine but the service was so bad. I tried to work with the girl but it was wild how long it took her to do absolutely anything. There on 1/16 6:30-8 management yikes. You have an issue.

Fun to be here on trivia nights! We haven't joined in, just play along between ourselves. Drinks are good, service is quick, and food is consistently good bar fare.

This is a fun spot! When we came in they were doing arts and crafts for halloween and helping people make masks. They also had a tasting and giveaway going on with Espalone. The outside doesn't look promising but when you walk in it's a pretty nice dive bar. It's a long narrow building so you have to walk to the back to get to the bar. There's another separate section with another bar. They have a decent food menu and good prices. They also have plenty of TVs to watch the game.

The BBQ here (and homemade BBQ sauce!) are tremendous, the real deal!! The bar is well-stocked, the staff and atmosphere are first-rate and welcoming, and when I ordered from home and the grubhubber forgot half my order the OWNER DROVE IT TO MY HOUSE!!! This place ROCKS!!!AMAZING food, GREAT drinks/prices, FUN activities, TREMENDOUS people--hurry over to my new favorite bar and restaurant The Pit Stop!!​ 10 out of 5 stars!!

My partner and I stop here when we come up from roseburg. Steak bites and bacon ranch Mac is soooo damn good. BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwich is what we're tryin next. Chicken Strips weren't bad. Like that they're homemade. Very crunchy.

It's a dive bar - if you go in expecting anything else, you'll be disappointed but that'd be on you. They seem to take masking seriously, a pleasant surprise. The staff (Jessica P IIRC) very friendly, helpful, great service though they seemed the only person on duty with quite a busy lunchtime - well done. I had the plate with pulled pork and 1/4 ribs - if not the "best in the world" they definitely were delicious. I'd go back, and I'd order them again. Great beer menu for a dive bar too - recommended.

Such nice staff and good to watch games as there is one really big screen and lots of smaller ones. Nice food.

The staff are very kind and considerate! The ambiance of the restaurant is a little weird and the bar tender got my order wrong twice. Ultimately the food is good but fairly plain. I rate The Pit Stop 3/5 stars for the things listed above. Ultimately it would have been a great experience if my food had been made correctly.

We have yet to have a poor experience with this place; it's got really good food, the service is good, it's a really fun local spot that we enjoy.

What a ripoff!!!! Do NOT order this sandwich if you want more then a couple little slices of sausage. I wish I could have taking a photo before I sent it back. My $2 coffee was comp, but they still charge me $12 for a couple slices of sausage, I never felt robbed in my life. Service was terrible but I get it was a game night. What a joke.

This place is great when you come here more than once. There's all types of sporting events playing on a dozen screens. Karaoke and Taco Tuesday's. Breakfast, brunch, burgers and bbq. They even have take out. Considering the place is called The Pit Stop, don't expect a 5 star experience in customer service, as the staff are very casual in their approach. Sometimes you will want to kindly flag a server down or order food at the bar to get their attention. Might as well start off in the right foot and make your presence known, instead of waiting around hoping for a passing glance from a server or leaving because your expectations were not met. The beer has always been on point since I've been going there, drinks are decent but don't expect stiff drinks here. Wi-Fi can be spotty from time to time, but it works when it works. For games: There is one pool table, video poker and Buck Hunter. What else do you need? The Karaoke nights are pretty awesome, so bring friends to add to the mix, or else its country, Sinatra and Bjork all night long. Overall, the staff is great and your almost guaranteed to see someone at 11pm that's been their since 11am, just as a reminder that the place isn't Buffalo Wild Wings. It's not JUST a bar. Its and experience.

Incredibly trashy bar and really terrible management. The regulars here are drunk and very aggressive, and the staff simply cater to their impulses. DON'T WAISTE YOUR TIME.

Update: If I checked in everytime I went then I would have a ridiculous amount. Love going for the Happy Hour or Daily Special...... Just added some good new menu items as well. BEST chicken tendies (chicken fingers) and cheese sticks in town! They have indoor and out door tables. Everyone is very friendly. Highly recommend!

This is the worst takeout I have ever ordered. My fiance and I ordered our dinner from here tonight. He got the chicken strips and fries, I ordered the sampler plate which included brisket, quarter rack of baby back ribs, and pulled pork. It also came with Texas toast and my choice of side, ceaser salad. I also ordered potato salad and a bowl of soup. My fiance is a chicken strip aficionado. He has crohns disease and is therefore limited in what he can eat. Chicken strips remain one of his go to meals to the point that it is the first thing he looks for on any menu. They are pretty hard to get wrong, and wrong they were. On the outside they looked promising, the chicken strips were perfectly golden and the fries looked good as well. However they lacked flavor. This is going to be a recurring theme of this review. He barely touched them. I tried a bite as well and was also disapointed. I had high hopes for the sampler plate. I love bbq. I too was very disappointed. Wal-Mart sells bbq brisket you can microwave for a quick meal. When I opened my takeout container it looked like the microwave brisket from Wal-Mart. In truth it tasted far worse. It was rubbery and the meat lacked flavor. Same for the pulled pork. I am most disappointed in the ribs. They didn't have much meat and the meat they had had the dubious distinction of being both greasy and overcooked.The Texas toast was the soggiest I have ever eaten and had barely any flavor. The only good part of the meal was the salad. It was fresh, the croutons were good, it had an adequate amount of parmesan and I really enjoyed the ranch they used. However, the highlight of the meal should not be a side salad. It is worth mentioning that both meals came with bbq sauce. I tried it but couldn't bring myself to use it. It had some over powering flavor. I had my fiance, a southerner, try the bbq sauce. As someone who has lived in both Arkansas and Tennehesse he knows good sauce when he tastes it. The look on his face was unforgettable . I have never seen him grimace like that. He ran into the kitchen to get a drink of water. When he returned he exclaimed that it tasted like they just dumped a bunch of fake smoke in there. The portion of potato salad was large, but looked unpromising. It came in a deli container , but store potato salad would have been better. There appeared to be a minute sprinkling of ingredients other than potato and mayonnaise but it didn't taste like it. It is the blandest potato salad I have ever tasted. It could have used discernable amounts of salt, pepper, and other spices. Or better yet not existed at all. I'm not sure what kind of soup I recieved. It was the soup of the day and was creamy in nature with what appeared to be shredded chicken straight from a can. The first taste was like a creamy gravy, the second taste was an overpowering garlic flavor. I didn't bother with a third taste. I am not sure if Pit Stop was understaffed, over crowded, or the cooks were new and untrained. But frankly it doesn't matter. I worked in a bistro in an upscale neighborhood In San Diego. I understand that on a bad night some mistakes can happen. However, there should never be this many mistakes in one meal. It cost us 41 dollars plus the nine dollars to Postmates and was worth none of what I spent. I was fuming mad , to the point in surprised my fiance and he commented he has never seen me this mad before. Maybe Pit Stop had an off night, but I won't be trying it again to find out.

Good was food but lack of social distancing and lack of wearing of masks will not have me back any time soon. Most places now have told people that if you aren't at your table you must wear your mask. Somehow the Pit Stop missed the information. Felt management had little control over what was going on.

Called and tried to order food to pick up; But the RUDE GIRL on the phone refused to take my order and told me they only do online orders. After being a regular customer for more than 8 years; I am appalled that I was treated so Rudely !!!!!! I will never go back to this place even though they are less than a mile from my home. I hope the Owner sees this review and fires the rude girl in the bar!!!!

The brisket and ribs smelled so bad I could not eat any of the food. What a mistake to order carryout! Never order from this restaurant on Post mates or any other way unless you want To become ill..

We've eaten here a few times, always with a Groupon. The food is pretty good and the service is fast, friendly and efficient. I'm not a big fan of sports bars but most of that is in another room. The restaurant seating are has been reasonably quiet and uncrowded the few times we've been there. It's certainly not Texas BBQ here but for Portland, it's pretty decent.

Pros: Stuff drinks, fast and friendly staff, large portions of good food for cheap prices. I was pleasantly surprised. Cons: They no longer have the Bloody Mary bar that is still advertised on their website.

Used to love this place for its bbq and down to earth (read: dive) atmosphere. Fun karaoke night, and seriously good pulled pork/brisket. Ordered the brisket dinner with beans tonight. Fatty cuts of meat served barely warmed, and the beans were easily the worst I've ever had... obviously from a can. Not even warmed through. Service was lackluster until we walked out before the tab was dropped.... we did the math, and left 20%. We were chased down... lol.

We ordered the chicken fried steak from the GrubHub app. When it arrived and I felt how light the bag was I was very disappointed. At $13 an order that had to have been the smallest chicken fried steak I've ever been served. It was basically a Banquet meal sized patty, and 5 bites of hashbrowns. Not to mention they put a freaking tiny dollop of flavorless gravy on top. The crust on the steak was super basic and not crunchy. The toast was stale. The poached eggs though were perfect? It also doesn't mention it's a bar on GH or I wouldn't have ordered. We got this on Fathers day, like come on, it's a chicken fried steak, go big or go home Daddys hungry! Do not recommend this item. Probably won't eat from here again if you can't even do a Chicky Steak

I love the Pit Stop because they have consistent good food, wonderful service, and super friendly vibes. They have outdoor seating available and a lot of space inside too. I appreciate everyone there so much!

I have to say our waitress Jessica was fantastic. She always jokes around with us and makes us feel comfortable. However we will not come back to this bar. their lackadaisical approach to people wearing masks walking around on their patios or walking through their establishment. It does not make us feel comfortable at all. In the middle of a pandemic the one thing that you want to feel is safe at a place that you patronage. We had been going there once a week. No longer. I can not reply to their reply on Google so I will add it here. Kate Brown has said that she will reassess the mask laws when the state of Oregon is at 70% vaccinated. We are at 49% The CDC does not write Oregon laws. No one can walk around with out a mask in a building. You have to be seated to be able to remove your mask. Upon further inspection of this bar we have found out that they have been fined twice for breaking the mask laws and will be shut down if they violate it one more time. My friend and I are both fully vaccinated but when this bar allows its drunk morons to roam freely with out masks no one should put them selves in a situation where you can catch a deadly virus. Also I have been there for more then an hr. No one is running around your bar cleaning anything....

Do you know what we love here...TAKE OUT.... No joke... Looks like this place gets a lot of regulars who enjoy the drinks, TVs, karaoke and video poker. I am not a bar person. TAKEOUT - their food is awesome. We usually order their BBQ sampler which is very tasty down to their Texas toast and BBQ sauce. The meat is falling off the bone goooood. Tator tots, onion rings - fried goodness and even their sandwiches, burgers and salads do not disappoint. Great portions and awesome service - they are always super friendly when we drop in. They also always get our order right! So...seriously...TAKE OUT! Or dine in...but again, it is a bar so if you are into that. They are also on Delivery Dish if you are feeling extra lazy some evening.

Great food. Great service. Great prices and always a special of the day. Always sports on and they are always willing to change the sports channel to something if it's available that you want to watch. The beer options are plentiful. There is a real home feeling here. Gwynne is a bar tender and one of the best around. This place deserves every star available. There is also keno and trivia games going all day/night. Karaoke is a blast on weekends and on Wednesday night is a fun night of free trivia with teams. How much more can you ask for.

Such a great experience here! The one gentlemen running the bar was super friendly and got us our drinks and food very quick. Food was awesome too! Chicken sandwich and fried pickles were great. Definitely coming to this place again.
