Great fresh homemade - what more do you want? We started with the garlic knots, then had the spaghetti with meatballs, a cheese pizza, and pesto swirl pizza (don't miss this, you'll thank me later), and a meatball sub. Everything was worth ordering again and again. We'll be back!

Google
This restaurant leans toward the artisan style pizza. The service was excellent. Friendly and attentive. Pizza was very good, but I personally lean toward traditional New York style or New Haven style pizza. Garlic rolls were very tasty. Elvis memorabilia all over the walls. You can't go wrong bringing the family to this eatery. I highly recommend this restaurant.

They had great pizza. I was able to get the beer 🍺 I liked. Really good time. It was laid back. Husband and grandson played jenga

Google
Ok pizza. I don’t know if this place is a chain or not but it’s kinda like your standard chain pizza. Alright experience.

Google
HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! This is by far my favorite pizza place in Knoxville! Food is great! There is a nice sort of retro vibe inside. The owner and staff couldn’t be more friendly and hospitable. Bring your family!

Google
If I had one word to describe this place, It would be “PERFECTION” ! Feels wrong for this place to not be packed! Food was fantastic. Hot and fresh! Service was great. Good attitude towards customers. I felt relaxed and comfortable while sitting in the restaurant. Good vibes. I’d be coming back every time I’m in town!

Google
I would say one of the best pizza joints in town. Their garlic knots are unique in that they are light and airy. Very tasty. Their Italian sausage that they add to their pizza is also a little different. And of all things their salad was incredible.

My name is TSgt Greenway and I am the local Air Force Recruiter for Knoxville, Tn. The Pizza Kitchen is mine and my families favorites pizza place. The employees have created an environment of hospitality along with some of the best pizza you have ever had. My families favorite pizza is the Peach Caprese. It is very light, tasty, and great for a hot summer day!

Yelp
Not quite Italy yet pretty darn close is The Pizza Kitchen on Kingston Pike. What a find! Absolutely delicious salads and pizzas with generous toppings and the tastiest crust around. The mouthwatering garlic knots ($8.95) likely are made from the same recipe as the crust as they are slightly sweet and light and smothered with fresh garlic. I ordered a personal-sized Greek pizza ($11) that came with homemade marinara sauce, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, feta cheese and onions. My companions each enjoyed a regular-size Greek salad ($7.25) and a large House salad ($9.95). And then there was the lasagna ($13.95) smothered in marinara and mozzarella cheese with a hint of fennel in the meat sauce of ground beef and pork. The restaurant offers soft drinks and beer, and vegans will dig the alternative cauliflower crusts with their pizzas that come in a variety of sizes and prices. Patrons order at the counter and a cheery employee brings the food to the table. The atmosphere is festive with red walls and decorated with photos, many of them featuring Elvis of rock and roll fame.

Yelp
This is one of our family's local go to pizza joints. My boys would go here weekly if we let them pick. They love that the owner calls us "family." We love the garlic cheese bread, the pizza, the meat ball subs, and the salads are our favorites. Everyone is friendly. The atmosphere is kitschy and Elvis themes are all around. You might have a little bit of a wait on a Friday for a clean table but it's worth it. Sometimes they even have live music!

Yelp
Pizza isn't what it used to be... they all taste much the same with crusts a Saber-Toothed Tiger could manage and way too much oil and stringy cheese. So, we make our own pizzas and calzones... but the good doughs take time and chilling... SO... what can you do if you're riding around with your stomach gnawing on its sides and you're in Knoxville? --- close your eyes and throw a dart at the 1st pizza place you see? (You do have Tums with you... right? - and if you're driving I advise against the closing your eyes part!) But... fear not... there IS a place you can eat and NOT suffer adverse consequences!! Drum roll please.... The Pizza Kitchen is handily located on Kingston Pike - YES - and the restaurant is a perfect size for you nostalgia buffs. It's a counter order type of place with tables and a friendly atmosphere... a couple of TVs if you're a lone diner or lacking in conversational skills. They have a decent array of beverages and a good menu. They have pizza pan riser stands, too!! Ah, good memories........ I digress though - the pizza crust was perfect, plenty of fresh cheese, properly cooked add-ons... who knew that you didn't have to swallow the pineapple chunks whole??? AND, if you have left-overs they reheat wonderfully! Oh yeah..... no stomach upset, heartburn, or indigestion - only a craving to go back!!

Yelp
This pizza is delicious ad the service is friendly. It reminds me of the kind of home made pizza that my Grandmother used to make.

Yelp
THE PIZZA IS SO GOOD!!! Man who took my order was very kind. Worth it if you're in the Farragut area
google avatar

Kendra G.

Yelp
From NY, and I will be coming back here for pizza! Crust isn't too thick, and probably some of the best pizza I've had since being away from home.

Yelp
A family owned restaurant; convenient to all of West Knoxville and Farragut. Located on Kingston Pike about a half mile west of Pellissippi Parkway The Pizza Kitchen is a family friendly dining experience. They have wonderful appetizers: garlic knots are my favorite, but they have shrooms, saucy meatballs, cheesy bread and spinach artichoke dip. Side salads are next with a House, a Greek, and a Caprese. They feature an assortment of dinner salads along with a meatball sub sandwich, lasagna, spaghetti and meatballs, and manicotti. Then of course we come to the name of their restaurant, The Pizza Kitchen. They know how to do pizza right with spices, sauces, and tastes for every palate. From individual to family size, you will find what you are craving. Prices are very reasonable from an individual 8" pie to a family size 14" (which in some families could still be an individual). Stop by The Pizza Kitchen today for lunch or dinner. By yourself, or with family and friends, it's the perfect setting for dinner. Don't forget to order 'Take-out' when you're on the go. Follow me on a Yelp for more things to see and do in Knoxville and East Tennessee.

Yelp
Great pizza! This is some of the best in the area. It's a pretty simple place- walk up to the counter to order then seat yourself. We were there on a pretty nasty day weather wise, and the whole operation was being run (very efficiently I might add) by just one guy. We were a little worried but he did a great job. Good pizza has to start out with good crust- and this place has it! You can tell it's fresh and homemade. We started out with an order of garlic knots, which was pretty good. They were a LITTLE light on the garlic, but the sauce More than made up for that. Again, you can tell it's homemade and not from a can. The pizza was great! Nice chewy crust with just the right amount of crunch to it. Baked perfectly. And- the sauce. Mmm. The sauce has a BIT of a peppery "kick" to it, but I certainly wouldn't call it spicy. It's a great complement to the toppings. And- the toppings. They have a somewhat limited selection, but all the classics are there. We chose a "build your own" pizza with mushrooms, black olives, and Italian sausage, and it did not disappoint. The mushrooms were FRESH- which is a biggie to me. I hate canned mushrooms on a pizza! Overall, one of the best pizza places in the region, and trust me we've tried lots of them!

Yelp
Service was amazing! I was ordering for a large group. Everyone raved about the pizzas. We had the veggie Mac, pepperoni, mamma Mia, the king, Memphis bbq chicken and plain ole cheese pizzas. Not one complaint! That is saying something. Also tried the s'mores pizza for dessert- surprisingly very tasty! I hadn't tried them since they moved from Northshore but will definitely be going back and ordering again for large groups. It looks like they have a few beers on draft, can't really speak to that much since it was a pick up order. The dining space is on the small side but had great character. You should give them a try!

Yelp
They were great love their pizza Cauliflower Cristi's awesome Service was great Not a large seating area but never had to wait

Yelp
Our oldest finished school for the summer and got to choose a celebration meal. Of course, he wanted to quintessential kid meal of pizza. We ordered garlic knots (4 per order), a 12" pepperoni and pineapple (yes, it's a legit topping! Ha.), and a 12" BBQ chicken. Our order came out to $38 for carryout. This was our second time eating at PK, the first visit my husband becoming obsessed. The food from tonight was fine, but not obsession-worthy. Stars meet in the middle for a solid experience. The best thing about this restaurant is definitely the crust. It is wheat, and fairly thin and chewy with a fluffy "puff" at the back. You can tell that it is fresh and made in-house. Love that! The marinara sauce was a bit bland for us, adding moisture but not the salt, sweetness, or punch of herbs that we prayed to the pizza gods for. Same thing with the knots. It is made with their awesome crust and they are fluffy and giganto but needed a little sprinkle of garlic salt. The BBQ sauce on the other pizza was really tasty and the chicken well-cooked and seasoned. No the processed meat, grisly bites that you get elsewhere.

Yelp
In town for a visit and so glad we had time to eat at one of our favorites. Tasty pizza, fun menu, and the best crust anywhere. Love the memorabilia. Service was great! Just like we remember.

Yelp
If you want a really good California style thin crust pizza, then this is your place! They specialize in whole wheat crusts, and there is not a huge selection of whole wheat crusts in the Knoxville area. This place was a go-to of mine decades ago, then they closed for almost a decade and recently reopened. So glad to have this place back. My go-to order is a Large Pepperoni Pizza. The crust is thin and crispy, just the way I like it. They do a large takeout business but also do dine-in. Check them out bc they also have live music occasionally. They are located in the shopping center that also has Shae Home Design, and next to Bill Jones Music. Go give them a shot, I'm sure they won't disappoint! Cheers & Enjoy!!

Yelp
In the mood for pizza?? This is the place! My husband and I love locally owned restaurants and businesses. We were in west Knoxville and in the mood for pizza. We checked on Yelp and found The Pizza Kitchen. The reviews were very positive and encouraging. We were not disappointed. The pizza was delicious and hot. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Will definitely visit again!

Yelp
first time coming here. my sister suggested this restauranti had the schrooms appetizer large potebello mushrooms filled with ricotta parmesan cheese sister had special type pizza gluten free brushed with fresh olive oil mozzarella cheese Brian was the kindest friendly server He was #1

Yelp
Just moved to the area from NJ. We were missing good pizza until someone recommended this place to us. WE WERE NOT DISAPPOINTED. My husband picked up some spinach and artichoke dip (the best we've ever had) and two custom made pizzas. They came out perfect. One of them being a GF cauliflower crust for our son with a gluten allergy. And the stuffed mushrooms?! FAHGETTABOUDIT. We came back in person to order again. Aesthetic? PERFECT for rock/Elvis fans. Each table has a little lantern on the wall, cute for a date. Seriously the best pizza around. You will not be disappointed. Come to find out, the guy that made our food is from NJ. No wonder the food is so good

Yelp
Mamma Mia is every bit as good as the super supreme from pizza palace. This is my favorite pizza place on the weak side. Highly recommend. Meatball app was really good too, house made meatballs are killer.

Yelp
Skimp on sauce and cheese, average pizza, how do they get great reviews I'll keep, looking for good pizza

Yelp
Really good New York style pizza . Thin.. cheese flavor is spot on. I could eat the whole pizza!

Yelp
Super fresh and tasty. Have had a couple hiccups but they are quick to fix it. Will be back. The peach pie is delicious.

Yelp
This was my first visit to The Pizza Kitchen and it will be my last. I called in a pick-up order and was told 45 min, but waited over an hour for the food. While things were not off to a good start, the owner apologized for the delay and was very nice. If the food was great The Pizza Kitchen could have turned it around, but it was a real disappointment. After waiting over an hour, I assumed the pizza would be hot and fresh by the time I arrived at home. I live 5 min away. The pizza and garlic knots were barely warm. Pepperoni pizza and the Maui Wowie were a 2 out of 5. The garlic knots were very roughly and not much flavor...a 1 out of 5. It was unanimous with the family that this one is not worth a return.

Angie H.

Yelp
Great pizza!! Not greasy! The lighting made it seem as if you are eating by candlelight. Friendly staff and clean restaurant!! Love the Maui Wowie!!!

Yelp
I love this pizza. The Thai Pie, with its Thai peanut sauce, is definitely my favorite. The roasted red peppers and fresh cilantro give it a rich, fresh flavor. One of the beat things about this place is how accommodating they are. We were able to try four of the different pizzas by going half and half on two pies.. Another one of my favorites was a regular pepperoni. The place is pretty casual. You order at the counter, take your number to your table, and they deliver the pizza. You can run a tab, so if you want to have more than one of the microbrews on tap, you can pay when you have had you fill.

Melissa C.

Yelp
The staff is not rude but most certainly not friendly. Went in and ordered to go, I wasn't greeted at all by the five people at the desk. I wasn't given a number for my order nor did they ask for a name. Matter of fact I was never thanked once, not even after paying. I found it rather shocking that you pay electronically at the counter and they ask for a tip. A tip, for what exactly? Since we weren't given any instructions after ordering to go, we just kind of hung out and waited, which felt very uncomfortable in a tiny room full of staring eyes. When we finally got our pizza the young man handed it to us, stood there and then asked if we had paid for it. Which obviously we had. We ordered a meat pizza which was just ok, definitely not worth the price tag. The experience also may have had some to do with the pizzas taste too. We have tried this place once before, we wanted to give them a second chance, they failed again. We won't be going back.

Yelp
Tucked away in a strip center off Kingston Pike but the food was great. Try to get to The PK every time I am in town. Love the salads and the Garlic Knots are the best. I have now been there 3 times since Aug of 22. The pizza was great as well. Really cant go wrong with anything on the menu. If you are in Knoxville get by The PK for some great food.
google avatar

Kris B.

Yelp
Super friendly greeting when we came in. The decorations are interesting and fun. But the best part was the pizza. We got an 8'' spicy chicken ranch and a 12'' pepperoni. Both were delicious - the crust is really the star. It had a nice crunch on the bottom and held up really well. The spicy chicken ranch was especially good - we wish we would've gotten the larger size! We come to Knoxville fairly regularly and have been looking for a good pizza place. I'm glad we found one - we will be back!

James L.

Yelp
The pizza was so very good. We got the garlic knots as well and they were too die for with fresh garlic. Even though it was our first time here, we were treated like regulars by the wait staff.
google avatar

Jenn W.

Yelp
Had dinner here a couple of weeks ago, and it was sooo good! We used to eat here quite a bit when it was on Northshore, so I'm very glad to see it's back open. We had the Mama Mia pizza and a couple of beers. Service was friendly and attentive, and most importantly the pizza was delicious!

Kyle C.

Yelp
Great Pizza!!!!!! Man behind the counter was very nice and I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good pizza.
google avatar

Kleopatra G.

Yelp
I walked into this place hungry and on the verge of being late for work. I just expected some regular strip mall pizza. What I did not expect was the delicious, perfectly baked crust pizza that I was given. This pizza is on another level. I found myself eating the melted cheese and sauce off the box after I demolished my 8 inch. And the lunch special pizza is only FIVE DOLLARS. I will gladly be back, because this pizza is the best I've had in Knoxville. Service was quick, too; I was still late to work but it was worth it!

Scott G.

Yelp
The vibe is right, the pies are just what they are supposed to be - excellent - great beer selection, staff that knows what they are doing. A+.

Walt L.

Yelp
Being from upstate NY, its very difficult to find a great pizza in the South. We have ordered sit down Pizza here when it was Empire Pizza and the pie was OK but not great with way, way too thin crust. The second owners pie's were sauced heavily with pepper! Pizza sauce obviously shouldn't leave a hot burn in your mouth. Thats why REAL pizza shops keep red pepper on the table for those that want that. I want to congratulate the 2 women making Pizza's on 9/13/22. I grew up on great Yankey pizza and those girls "KNOW" how to make real pizza. We ordered a LARGE 18" pizza (not 16" southern large) peperoni and pineapple. First off, the bottom crust was crispy as it should be with the correct thickness for a true hand tossed pie. There was an adequate amount of sauce and cheese yet NOT over done with toppings. The ingredients were all first rate flavored and baked to perfection with a as mentioned crispy crust. We love being retired here in the south and now when we are in Knoxville, we can truly scratch the itch for real delicious Pizza at the Pizza Kitchen! Many Thanks to the Owners

Carolyn M.

Yelp
Our first visit and our last. We order the King 18"to go and live approximately 10 minutes away. After getting the pizza home it was so soggy we couldn't pick it up so we Actually had to cook it as it was that soggy. So disappointed.
google avatar

Sarah B.

Yelp
It took everything in me not to eat the entire pizza! The husband brought home pizza and cheese bread tonight and we were super delighted with it. I had the margherita because it's light on the sauce. The crust was great, not greasy, and the sauce was tasty. We can't wait to try other pizzas on our next pizza night!

Vickie W.

Yelp
If you haven't made a trip to The Pizza Kitchen ,located off Pellisippi on Kingston Pk, do yourself a big delicious favor! The pizza is made to order and served hot, cheesy and incredible...not to mention the lasagna, meatballs and salads! Everytime we leave after eating there, we start thinking about the next time we're going again. We've done both eat-in and carry out...we own an Airbnb and always recommend it to our guests...and they always thank us! We love Pizza Kitchen!

Yelp
My favorite pizza place in all of Knoxville! Great pizza! The pizza is always perfect and everything else is delish! Love the family atmosphere and the whole vibe is awesome! Locally owned and the owner makes sure that service is great no matter what. Super location and easy to get to! My family and I love this place - and will keep coming back!

Grace C.

Yelp
We went for the first time and the owner hooked us up! He was very friendly and gave us time to look at everything without being pushy. My husband got the Diablo Jack and he loved it. The crust is my favorite crust on a pizza that I've ever had here in Knoxville. Fun vibes, good pizza, can't get better than that!

Jackie B.

Yelp
Nice crispy crust and good sauce. Best pizza we have found in TN so far. Atmosphere is nice and friendly service.

Patrick P.

Yelp
Best Pizza in Knoxville. Very reasonable pricing for this type pizza. The crust is perfect. You can get their specialty pizza 1/2 on one side and something else on the other. The owner and staff are very friendly. Only place a go for pizza anymore.
google avatar

Tabitha P.

Yelp
We usually go to Pizza Kitchen once a week. Their pizza, salads, beers, and meatballs are our favorites. The atmosphere is great, the drinks are cold, and the food is delish. I hope at some point they can get servers to make it a true full restaurant experience like at their previous location.

V T.

Yelp
The ambiance was nice. The food wasn't bad but it took over 45 minutes to receive it. The temperature wasn't that hot either. The staff was great but they forgot to give us our to go order. Upon return, the young lady that helped us didn't seem to be having a good day. I say, "seem" because her body language and mannerisms were poor. She didn't even say you're welcome, have a good day, or even anything after we left. She made this visit my last.

Alexis L.

Yelp
Delicious! Always love getting the bbq chicken pizza. Great prices. The 8 inch is a perfect personal size pizza.

William R.

Yelp
Far and away the pizza in town and I'd put it up against any in the country for that matter! Cool, old school pizza pad with an Elvis theme! Highly recommend for families and they have an awesome beer selection!
google avatar

Allyson H.

Yelp
Great find! Great menu and food. Smaller but good place for a date night or bring your whole family. Will be back!

Bill R.

Yelp
We decided to try this new pizza restaurant for an early weekday family dinner (2 adults, 1.5 year old and 4 year old) and it was refreshingly different and delicious. It's a seat yourself, order at the counter type place. The staff was friendly and the restaurant was clean inside. They went out of their way to give us a little beer sampler and the cashier lady was super friendly towards our 4 year old when he wanted to buy a cookie all on his own. We usually don't give him money to go buy things on his own with. It wasn't too busy on the night we went, 5 tables maybe. Mushroom Parmesan appetizers were great for the whole family. Our 4 year old ate all of his chicken fingers from the kids menu (he's an odd one who doesn't like pizza) and we ordered two delicious and interesting 8" pies. The Thai and the Maui. The Thai was the big hit with a peanut type sauce with chicken and pineapple on top. It really was like a pad thai pizza or something. My wife wanted to eat all of my Thai pie. My 1.5 year old ate everything. The crust of the pizza is very good, but it's different than a typical pizza chain. We (our 4 year old) bought a dessert cowboy cookie before leaving which was yummy for all the family. I'm giving this 5 stars because it really is outside the norm of "another pizza place". Don't expect it to be the same ol' pizza you've had before.

Yelp
Solid new find! Excellent pizza selection with fresh ingredients & toppings. I had garlic knots with marinara that I can fully recommend. Memphis BBQ pizza was tremendous. Staff was kind, quick but not in a hurry. Great pizza joint. Give 'em shot.

Nolan T.

Yelp
first time here. walked in to a bald guy prepping a pizza yelling "god da** it" very loud. then proceeded to throw open the topping bins , sending silverware flying across the floor while saying multiple cuss words.. took almost 10 min for him to ask me what I wanted while obviously overwhelmed with negativity. I almost left before he finally got to me. I was the first person here and the only one in the place besides him. he took my order about 25 min ago and still no sight on when I'll actually see it. Will definitely be my last visit.

Steven A.

Yelp
It is just blah all around. The quality is ok. Pizzas are small. They aren't thin crust California but aren't really NY style either, but closer to NY style I guess. I'm from NJ and love NY style so I'm biased. Gavino's is quite a bit better if you want NY style. This isn't bad but we likely won't be back. They do have a whole wheat crust which is tasty and a gluten free option. Told me 30 mins and it was 45 and even though I took it straight home it was really just barely warm. We had the Hawaiian pie and it was once again, all around Blah!
