If the Hunchback of Notre Dame ran this place, it'd be the Pizza Stoop.
By the way, Yelp... this place is literally *next door*. Can't you just edit the address rather than doing the "MOVED" thing, because now all of the scores of amazing reviews are no longer part of this listing.
What to get: regular slices, specialty slices, and big sicilian pies. All amazing.
What in particular: The White Garlic Broccoli slice is probably my 2nd fave garlicky slice in the world, after Sunnyside (Queens NYC) and their Garlic Bread Pizza.
If you got a free baby (delivered by bird) with every slice, it'd be the Pizza Stork.
This is Rochester's best Pizzeria, just ever-so-slightly inching (not those sorts of inches, you dirty people) ahead of Joe's Brooklyn in Henrietta. I had a friend who was a female pizza slice, but unfortunately my friend Henry ate her (Henrietta). Ha. Ha. Ha.
If the employees followed you home after you bought a slice, it'd be the Pizza Stalk.
Anyway, where was I. I've been here so many times, they probably know my name. Okay, they don't, but they could. Sometimes they have lines way out the door around lunch time, and so they should because all the slices here are just orgasmic. It's New York style thin crust heaven, but they also have a bunch of heavy specialty pies including some triple layer meat paradise pizzas, which remind me of one I had at Margherita's in State College, PA one time, and loved. Imagine three layers of pizza crust in a pie with pepperoni, cheese, ham, sausage, and hot wet luscious tomato sauce all inside the pie. It's so damn f*cking good baby.
If you were imprisoned in a Medieval Holding Device upon entering the shop, it'd be the Pizza Stocks.
Make sure you come in here at lunch time, the earlier the better, so you have a huge choice (huge like my thingy) and everything is piping hot and fresh straight out of the oven. You probably won't have to wait in line until after 12. I think 11.50 or 11.55 is probably the perfect time to get here, but even if you come later on, it's still well worth it. It's one of my favourite pizza places not only in WNY, but in the whole country. If it were in Buffalo it would easily be top 5 there, and if you know how good Buffalo pizza is, that is an enormous compliment. Enormous like my... oh never mind.
If they sold Gorgonzola Garlic Slices, it'd be the Pizza Stink.
For those who love this pizza and think I have good taste in pizza (I do!), when in Buffalo, try Imperial (the best), Mattina's on Sheridan (similar), Franco's on N Bailey (square slice but similar), Molinaro's on Sheridan (a bit like Pizza Stop), Zip's on Hertel (but mainly for the wings and eppy roll), Rocco's on Transit (lunch time only), Chuck's near downtown, Pizza Oven in Niagara Falls, La Paloma in Alden, Pizza Heist in Lancaster and many more. In Rochester, try Pizza Stop and try Joe's Brooklyn too. So much good pizza in WNY, it hurts. And expands the tum tum.
And if everyone here had an awful sore throat, it'd be the Pizza Strep.
Pizza Stop. God's gift to Rochester Pizza. Allah's gift too. And if you're not religious, then it's Science's gift to Nature, and Nature's gift to you. So if you're attractive I think you should pay Pizza Stop back by coming here for slices "au naturel". If you get arrested, I'll bail you out. Maybe.
Oh, and finally, if you do come in here au naturel, and therefore the employees have their way with you, and if you absolutely love it, then it'd definitely be the Pizza Don't Stop.
