Downtown since 1986, this family-run slice shop channels true NYC thin-crust—foldable, crisp, and unfussy. A perennial favorite among local writers and a CITY Magazine Best Pizza finalist, it anchors weekday lunches and pre-show dinners with classic pies.

Omg the peach jerk pizza is UNBELIEVABLE! One of the best I’ve ever had. Created in-house by Luis, the sweetness of the peaches perfectly complements the slight kick of the jerk chicken. Highly recommend!

Great place to grab a quick slice or two. They have a large variety of pies displayed to pick from. They put the slice back in the oven so you have a nice hot slice. Pizza is always on point with flavor.

This is some of the best pizza I have ever eaten in my life! Always fresh and very reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and the environment is very calm. Perfect for working on my assignments in peace. Come and get a slice if you get the chance!

I know it's unfair to judge an entire establishment by the employees you come in contact with during your visit, so I'll point out that this is directed at the crew working 05/05/25 around 3:30pm. Called and was put on hold approximately 10 times. I was on my way there anyway and couldnt get anyone to answer the phone so I just went in, ordered a pepperoni cheese pizza, paid and was told 20 minutes. Went to pick up the pizza 20 minutes later and they said they didn't have a pepperoni pizza so they handed me a cheese pizza and said "you should be happy, it's cheaper". I didn't get a receipt so I don't know if I was charged for just a cheese pizza, but regardless someone on their end managed to screw up an order as simple as a pepperoni pizza. My daughter only eats pepperoni so I had to make her a separate dinner which was the whole point of getting pizza for dinner, so I didn't have to cook. All that being said, the pizza isn't anything to write home about. Go to Cordellos, they never disappoint.

Had the worse experience from an employee ever at this place last night. I had to call 911 due to a female employee trying to assault my husband. However, he called it off. I would not go to this place because if employees are allowed to act this way who knows what they are allowed to do to your food when angry. We had ordered a $30 medium pizza here, and he received a text that it was ready. My husband went in and told an employee his name, and that he received a text his pizza was ready. He then waited 25 minutes while employees talked to each other (he was the only customer). He saw pizzas on the oven, one having his phone number, thus he was upset he sat there 25 minutes as the pizza sat there. He cursed to himself, and this female employee went off on him telling him to get out. I believe anyone would be even more upset when they’ve waited 25 minutes while employees didn’t do their job, so this lead to an argument between him and her. Another employee ended up giving him the pizza, and as he left the female employee threw a water bottle at him. I had to call 911 because of how helpless I felt seeing my husband so upset. Throwing a water bottle at someone is attempted assault, which is a misdemeanor. Do not go here. Who knows what this woman will try to do to you. All she has to do is apologize, hand him the pizza, and ask him not to swear next time he visits. He didn’t swear at anyone or call anyone a name. Then everything would have been fine.

I’ve never had an issue until my most recent visit. The line wasn’t clearly marked, and when I approached the counter, the cashier addressed the person behind me. I informed her that I was first in line, and was rudely told that I needed to stand in front of the class to place my order. After I selected my option, she asked if I wanted the last two slices. I responded, 'Sure,' and she sharply pointed out that it was a yes or no question. What really frustrated me was the owner was standing just two feet away from her. While he did address her, he didn't bother to acknowledge me until I went over to him to make a complaint. This all happened in front of a line full of customers, and it's completely unacceptable. Such rude behavior and lack of proper customer service is not something I expect, especially in a place that’s part of our vibrant small business community. The food is great, but when your employees treat customers this way, it’s hard to feel good about spending my money there.

Yelp
Frequent patron of Pizza Stop! Best pizza this side of Brooklyn! Usually go with my one of my favorites, buffalo chicken or pepperoni/meatball, as they never disappoint. Today I was led to their newest creation - The Big Dominican! Savory pork, plantains, cheese, pickled onion all covered in this sauce that brought it all together! Well done!!! Satisfying!! Barstool has to visit this place!

Yelp
Food, service is A1. Closest to NYC pizza I've had in Rochester. My go to when craving some city flavor. Would definitely recommend

Yelp
Apparently, this has been sold from the other owner.Jim some time ago. I was a little early picking up a Pizza. Was standing at the counter, nobody else was in the entire place. And from the register to the counter is at least forty four inches. There are two african american girls currently working there. The short one has been there a long time, she's so friendly. She's great.I always tell her a joke.Make her smile she's awesome. The other one must be relatively new she said I was crowding her four feet away at the register, wanting me to sit down like a dog.I'm like, no, i'm standing here, i'm not gonna sit down. So has to tell a white person what to do goes tells the owner who asked me to sit down.I'm like, no, i'm going to stand here, and he says, i'm crowding her, i'm like, from four feet away. I have a back issue, and it's hard to sit And when this place gets busy, there's 15 people at the counter. It's a mad house when it's busy. How am I crowding her four feet away. The owner was a real a****** about it, and I'm like, you care about an employee that's going to be here for probably less than a month, and the customer that's been coming in this door for 25 years and brought countless people in here. Is this the best Pizza anywhere to be found? Well the answer to that is yes, this is the best Pizza. Anywhere, that's why i've been going here for twenty five years. But the owner or a new owner is just an indignant self-righteous a******, so I won't be going back there and I'll be pulling my attorneys. And the other people I know from going down there also. It is a shame because there's nothing else like this anywhere. The only reason this owner will stay in business is could be because he has a downtown crowd, not because he knows how to treat customers. This is also why the Pittford location closed. Never nice to customers and treating your customers like there an inconvience. Like your bothered we walked in the door. When your an asshole it catches up to you. It just may take some time. So here you go catching up.

Yelp
Stopped in for a slice on State street downtown two days ago, I noticed that things felt different, the service was slow, the atmosphere seemed different, the two slices I ordered had been left in the oven a little two long, when I went to use the bathroom two wash up it was locked, in which I had to ask for a key, only to find that the bathroom had not been cleaned. So on my way out I asked one of the workers had the business been sold to a new owner and she stated that it had and that her dad had brought the business. I whish them luck because this is the only place I like to buy my pizza, to me it was a five star pizza place, but for the new owner I'm only going to give it three stars.

Yelp
This pizza is AWESOME. Walked 3 blocks for this perfectly cooked, thin pizza. Oh man. Every choice is DELICIOUS. I tried the garlic cheese white pizza. The slices are HUGE. $8 for a slice and a drink. The staff are quick, polite and knowledgable. I loved the subway murals on the wall. Very fun to look at.

Yelp
Ordered a pizza online, when I arrived with my 2 kids, the 2 men working were EXTREMELY RUDE, saying they were closed and I didn't order anything online. I showed them my receipt and they said oh you will have to call someone online to get a refund cause we are done making pizzas today.. Seeing I had a receipt and 2 children, most would have stayed the extra 20min to make a pizza for a family who traveled there to eat, but not these scrubs!

Yelp
Great NY Style pizza by the slice. Just what we were looking for. Enjoyed our stop here on our visit to upstate NY.

Ricardo T.

Yelp
Best pizza in Rochester! Owner and workers are very polite and hard working people! Very quick and fast Service. Love the art work on the wall!

Dabe M.

Yelp
Nothing fancy. Just thin crust, NY style pizza the way it's meant to be. A large selection of slices, efficient and generally pleasant service and somewhat dated, and therefore authentic, serving and dining areas. I highly recommend stopping in for a slice or two and a hint of real Brooklyn Pizzeria atmosphere. I stop here frequently when I venture into the city.

Jewels S.

Yelp
Not sure what all the hype is about. Stopped in to get couple slices to go. Returned to work, opened bag and...Pizza slice very small and stingy on toppings-big time. 4$ not cheap. I don't mind spending, but don't chinze on ingredients. not a good look. Sauce overwhelmingly oregano-not good! Couldn't stand to eat it. Very disappointed!!! Won't be going back. All done!

Yelp
Solid little pizza shop that doesn't have much else around (at least in freezing January). You can order full pies or just slices, and mix and match with those slices as well. A few different cans of drink options (soda, etc). A few tables inside. A simple yet pretty yummy pizza choice if you are ever in the area. I tried the Buffalo chicken and the pepperoni and both were spot on for me. My friends and I devoured our two slices in less than 10 mins. Do it.

Ilaiza R.

Yelp
Worst experience ever I had with pizza stop I ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was delivered I received the wrong pizza called in and was told I would need to have the pizza refunded then pay for new one. There was no accountability on their end the customer service I rate it a 0 because the supervisor said he couldn't help because the owner was not there. I had to drive over to them with the pizza. Will not be returning.

Yelp
Great pizza!! Awesome cinnamon knots! I googles best pizza near me and this Pizza Shop came up, so I had to try. Florida girl in NY

Yelp
OMG! I'm so bummed this spot is closed on Saturdays. I was in town about 2 weeks ago and had a slice of their broccoli mushroom garlic pizza and I was blown away. Never thought broccoli on pizza would be a thing for me but it is now! I ate it so fast didn't think about taking a pic of it. Service was fast and friendly and the spot wasn't fancy but the pizza was so it's all good! Plenty of tables and there was a steady cycle of customers coming and going; I assume it's a local favorite. You have the option of by-the-slice or whole pies. I had slices, with my second slice being pepperoni and it was good too. Nice large slices at an affordable price- I will definitely stop by when I'm in town again!

Lionel C.

Yelp
pizza is absolutely incredible, slices are huge, and cheap compared to other places. only thing wrong is the attitude of the workers. young girl barely looked me in the eye, clearly miserable about something, didn't ask if i wanted my slices in a box or bag. i worked in minimum wage, it sucks, if you don't like it find another job. no need to be rude to people who are being respectful and kind towards you. you're bad day is not mine.

Yelp
Yum! Huge selection of slices available during lunch. Garlic pizza with spinach or mushroom and broccoli, red sauce w/ sausage, pepperoni, various veggie mixes and more. They are quite busy during lunch time, but they are ready! I got my slices piping hot in record speed. I'm impressed. Huge selection, fast and delicious. Will be back!

Yelp
Some friends and I were craving pizza and we decided to take a walk over to the Pizza Stop to get some. Tip: This place is totally worth visiting, but I'd suggest being careful when walking here after dark. The four of us had trouble agreeing on toppings for a whole pie; we eventually decided to go with a cheese pizza, and then a couple of extra slices with different toppings so that everyone would end up getting what they wanted. The cheese they use on the pizza here is excellent, the dough is tasty and both the sausage and pepperoni are top-quality. We were all very happy with our choices, and didn't have any leftovers when we were done. Highly recommended!

Yelp
Overall dive place to find great NY Pizza slices. Reasonable prices, and large selection of slices available. What a little treasure!

Yelp
Fast, greasy, cheap, and filling -- this restaurant delivers on everything you could want from a high-volume, speedy pizza joint. Lines may be long but you get through it fairly quickly, pizzas are churned out constantly as hungry diners rapid-order slices, there's a decent amount of dine-in space that turns over quickly as people quickly finish their food and get back to work. As for the pizza, it was alright given the price and restaurant style. The thick pizza has a nice soft dough with slightly crisp edge and toppings are slighty crisp as they're finished a bit more in the oven. The thin crust is nice and crispy, with a nice firm bite. Overall, the thick chewy cheese layer is a bit oily and sauce is slightly sweet, but it works well with the different topics, particularly the pepperoni with an almost bacon-like crispness. The cinnamon knot is sweet and a bit too firm for me, and was a letdown compared to the pizza. Quick and simple -- cheap and filling, a nice pizza place for a delicious meal.

Erik T.

Yelp
it was ok, sauce tasted like canned cheap sauce and had huge chunks of seasoning. The garlic was really heavily seasoned. Did not deliver.

Yelp
THE. BEST. PIZZA. IN. ROCHESTER. Hands down. We've gotten both slices from the State Street location and a full pie from the Monroe Ave location last night. (I am THRILLED that they offer delivery now through DoorDash!) And we can confirm that whether you get a full pie or a slice, the pizza is amazing either way! This is true New York style pizza. Thin crust that's crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside with the perfect ratio of sauce to cheese! Not too saucy and not too cheesy with a hint of seasoning. The State Street location does have a lot of seating, though I'd argue it's best for running in to grab a slice to go. They are super quick! Do yourself a favor and get The Pizza Stop your next pizza and movie night. I guarantee you won't want any other pizza ever again!
google avatar

Samantha C.

Yelp
Can't go wrong with a cheesy NYC style slice of pepperoni for $3. The crust is thin and crunchy, just the way I like it. Served fast and hot, but is pretty greasy. To-go slices are put on paper plates and into a paper bag - not very convenient, esp. when greasy. The ambiance of this location reminds me of an off-beat NYC pizzeria, complete with exposed brick, grime, and the attitude to boot. I had heard really good things so expected it to be better.
google avatar

Yelp
As a transplant to WNY, the only thing I possibly dislike about WNY is the pizza. I am more accustomed to NYC style pizza, and have had no luck finding similar pizza in WNY. Well, no luck until now! This pizza was delicious, and very authentic to NYC style! The prices were fairly decent too at $2 for a slice with pepperoni and 75 cents for each additional topping. When you walk in, there are atleast 10 different pizzas to pick a slice from, or you can order a whole pizza. The bottle of water was a little overpriced at $2. The dining area has a very hole in the wall NYC pizzeria feel to it too. I can't wait to go back, or find another reason to visit Rochester!
google avatar

Yelp
The closest thing your going to get to a down state NY city pizza. Make sure you go to the one ridgeway. Because for some reason the one on state street has some assholes working there.
google avatar

Shawn O.

Yelp
Great food but rude service. Recently that irritation blew over And I am adjusting my review because when I posted it I was angry. Calzone is phenomenal it's so good that I come back even though every single time there's at least one person there that is unbelievably rude to me
google avatar

Becca C.

Yelp
This place is amazing. The pizza is great, the garlic knots are out of this world, and somehow their cans of Mountain Dew are more amazing than any other can of Mountain Dew I've ever had. I'm not even sure how they do it. I was stuck in Rochester because the LaGuardia airport was taking a snow day, so we decided to check this place out. It was right down the street a couple blocks but let me tell you, I would have walked miles for this food! Oh and did I mention the price is right? I got a slice of pizza, 3 knots, and a soda for $6... boom!

Lanny A.

Yelp
Came to Rochester from Hawaii for the first time and was hungry so saw this pizza place. Best decision ever. First ordered two slices of pizza for my wife and I but after taking a bite of it, we called our friends to eat with us and ended up ordering a large pepperoni pizza. It was the best pizza my wife and I had for quite some time. The shop is simple, the cooks were nice when you spoke to them and the cashier was pleasant. Nothing fancy but who needs fancy when the food is great and that's how this pizza tasted! Wish we were staying longer as we would definitely have come again. Five stars for the food and the customer service from the guy cashier who was patient and friendly. Hope this business stays open for many years or at least until we get to visit again!
google avatar

Rachel W.

Yelp
hands down best ny style pizza in rochester! approved by my husband who is very particular about his pizza outside of the city! prices are fair, but parking is super hard to find!!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here to have my first slice of NY pizza in NY . It was definitely flavorful with crisp outer edges. I have nothing bad to say. I will come back again.
google avatar

Ava C.

Yelp
I ordered a thin crust extra large last night , downtown in 14604. It was huge and very good . I got it in less than one hour by ordering early at about 4:30. I wish they had margherita on the menu and I wish they let you add special requests like extra crispy. I will order again. It's a quality pie
google avatar

Rob G.

Yelp
A nice short walk from the office and a great slice of pizza ! Lots of varieties all the time. Today but had pepperoni and banana peppers- a delicious combo. Big slices too- today one was enough but sometimes I have 2. Went after the lunch rush today so it was a quick in and out. Best pizza in downtown! Update- wait! I was going to write the same thing as last time- except today I had 2 slices. Made the lunch walk, on a beautiful day. Loved the pizza and the Jerry Garcia channel tunes playing on the big tv. Still my fave pizza stop!

Yelp
If the Hunchback of Notre Dame ran this place, it'd be the Pizza Stoop. By the way, Yelp... this place is literally *next door*. Can't you just edit the address rather than doing the "MOVED" thing, because now all of the scores of amazing reviews are no longer part of this listing. What to get: regular slices, specialty slices, and big sicilian pies. All amazing. What in particular: The White Garlic Broccoli slice is probably my 2nd fave garlicky slice in the world, after Sunnyside (Queens NYC) and their Garlic Bread Pizza. If you got a free baby (delivered by bird) with every slice, it'd be the Pizza Stork. This is Rochester's best Pizzeria, just ever-so-slightly inching (not those sorts of inches, you dirty people) ahead of Joe's Brooklyn in Henrietta. I had a friend who was a female pizza slice, but unfortunately my friend Henry ate her (Henrietta). Ha. Ha. Ha. If the employees followed you home after you bought a slice, it'd be the Pizza Stalk. Anyway, where was I. I've been here so many times, they probably know my name. Okay, they don't, but they could. Sometimes they have lines way out the door around lunch time, and so they should because all the slices here are just orgasmic. It's New York style thin crust heaven, but they also have a bunch of heavy specialty pies including some triple layer meat paradise pizzas, which remind me of one I had at Margherita's in State College, PA one time, and loved. Imagine three layers of pizza crust in a pie with pepperoni, cheese, ham, sausage, and hot wet luscious tomato sauce all inside the pie. It's so damn f*cking good baby. If you were imprisoned in a Medieval Holding Device upon entering the shop, it'd be the Pizza Stocks. Make sure you come in here at lunch time, the earlier the better, so you have a huge choice (huge like my thingy) and everything is piping hot and fresh straight out of the oven. You probably won't have to wait in line until after 12. I think 11.50 or 11.55 is probably the perfect time to get here, but even if you come later on, it's still well worth it. It's one of my favourite pizza places not only in WNY, but in the whole country. If it were in Buffalo it would easily be top 5 there, and if you know how good Buffalo pizza is, that is an enormous compliment. Enormous like my... oh never mind. If they sold Gorgonzola Garlic Slices, it'd be the Pizza Stink. For those who love this pizza and think I have good taste in pizza (I do!), when in Buffalo, try Imperial (the best), Mattina's on Sheridan (similar), Franco's on N Bailey (square slice but similar), Molinaro's on Sheridan (a bit like Pizza Stop), Zip's on Hertel (but mainly for the wings and eppy roll), Rocco's on Transit (lunch time only), Chuck's near downtown, Pizza Oven in Niagara Falls, La Paloma in Alden, Pizza Heist in Lancaster and many more. In Rochester, try Pizza Stop and try Joe's Brooklyn too. So much good pizza in WNY, it hurts. And expands the tum tum. And if everyone here had an awful sore throat, it'd be the Pizza Strep. Pizza Stop. God's gift to Rochester Pizza. Allah's gift too. And if you're not religious, then it's Science's gift to Nature, and Nature's gift to you. So if you're attractive I think you should pay Pizza Stop back by coming here for slices "au naturel". If you get arrested, I'll bail you out. Maybe. Oh, and finally, if you do come in here au naturel, and therefore the employees have their way with you, and if you absolutely love it, then it'd definitely be the Pizza Don't Stop.
google avatar

PJ C.

Yelp
If there are other "by the slice" pizza places around town I don't know about them and if there are it would be hard to fathom that they would be as good as the Pizza Stop. This long time downtown institution is a simple set-up: stand in line, order your slice(s), the guy behind the counter grunts at you, he pops'em in the oven, you pay, you get your hot slices, you devour them. Nice thin crust, NY style slices. The pepperoni is very good as is the white garlic. Perfect! The garlic knots are also very good. I just wish I worked closer so that I could come here for lunch as often as my wife does...
google avatar

Mohammad Y.

Yelp
I am really really picky when it comes to pizza. I am from Long Island /NYC and as a result I am pretty much a pizza snob. THIS PLACE IS INCREDIBLE. It is hands down the best pizza in Rochester and it compares to some of the best pizza in NYC. Also I would recommend getting freshly made pies..
google avatar

Samantha O.

Yelp
Wow!!! I've been here a couple more times since I live nearby now and they have stepped up their customer service game! Everyone was super nice, the pizza was amazing and they had these delish lil cinnamon roll twists for 50 cents that were the perfect sweet ending to pizza time. This is totally my new favorite pizza place and I've even started bringing my coworkers! Best pizza in Rochester hands down! Line moves quick.
google avatar

Abigail B.

Yelp
The pizza is delicious, our favorite in the Rochester. But the limited hours they are open is tragic. No longer open on Saturdays at all and they close at 8 during the week, so it's pretty hard to get my pizza stop fix. No joke though, this pizza is some of the best we've ever had. Huge slices, delicious crust, nice variety of toppings. We called in an order one time and asked for a topping they didn't have. They told us that, but followed up with "But you can bring it in and we'll add it for you." Top notch service, just killing me with the hours.
google avatar

Adam K.

Yelp
Just returned to the Rochester area after ten years in NYC. This place not only has New York style pizza, but it's better than the majority of actual New York pizza I ate! Very quick, great lunch spot
google avatar

Taylor O.

Yelp
This has to be the greatest pizza I've ever had. This location is right around the corner from my office so I always stop in during my lunch break. They are always nice, quick, and the food is delicious. There are probably two dozen different types of pizza to chose from along with extra baked goods. My favorite things to get are the garlic knots and a slice of the stuffed buffalo chicken pizza. It's on my list to try the dessert knots. The environment is always busy but it isn't overly loud or crowded. Sometimes the line does begin outside so prepare for the elements. Its worth it for this pizza though.
google avatar

Rachel K.

Yelp
This place is as good as it was 10 years ago! I came here yesterday for my lunch break and the pizza selection was on point! I went with the stuffed buffalo chicken pizza and sesame chicken pizza, both were phenomenal. I guess it's good I don't live or work close to it because otherwise I'd go everyday
google avatar

Ash F.

Yelp
We decided to explore the pizza stop on a chilly Saturday! We went for dinner and it was pretty empty! The decor definitely resembles the Brooklyn/nyc vibe! The man at the counter was very kind to us and told us some customer favorites! They close early for a weekend-around 8 and he said that was because most of their business happens during the week! We got a cheese, pepperoni and buffalo chicken slice! Omg! This is the closest to NYC pizza. Being from Long Island, I miss a good slice. The pizza stop did it for me! By far my favorite was the buffalo chicken! I thought the prices were affordable! We really want to try the sesame chicken one so we will be back!

Yelp
I have heard all the rave about this place. I actually find myself downtown so lets give this place a try. I ordered 2 slices and they were not very good at all. The 1 slice was all burnt on the bottom, little did I know that until I got home with the slices!! So I def wont be going here anymore.
google avatar

Andrew A.

Yelp
Got stuck downtown waiting for a ride, and decided to try this place out. The guy in front of me got a HUGE ass slice of pizza. I got excited. Then I was given a much smaller slice. Whatevs. I had a buffalo chicken slice. With. Can of soda, it came to $4.50. The pizza was think crust, deff NYC-style. Although the slice I had was smaller than some of the other joints I frequent around town, the taste was actually superb. It was up there in the deliciousness scales! I usually don't get buffalo chicken pizza because most places make it too spicy by adding buffalo sauce onto the pizza, but Pizza Stop did it right. They had very cool FUA graffiti on the inside, which I was a fan of. I heard someone in the back playing "Gimme The Loot" which was an added bonus for me! I would def order here again!
google avatar

Sema T.

Yelp
We ordered three medium pizzas last minute during the end of a busy lunch rush, and Pizza Stop did a great job. Three pizzas run a little pricey, but they were done and ready in 25 minutes and were delicious. Would highly recommend their specialty pizzas, especially the garlic, mushroom, and broccoli pizza (make sure to have gum or a mint handy). You will have to go pick up the pizzas at lunch because they only deliver in walking distance, and parking isn't ample. But the thin crust is great and it's a nice alternative to other, more greasy, pizza shops.
google avatar

Megan M.

Yelp
Sooooo good. Don't be a pain, no special orders, can't be on your phone or "no soup for you!" I got the artichoke spinach pizza and pepperoni and bacon pizza, both were equally delicious. It's my office's pizza obsession. They're also on grub hub and give out coupons for delivery through there at the moment. Inside is casual but fun, graffiti art walls, decent amount of seating. If it's busy, the line can easily be out the door but they're fast and fresh pizzas are constantly being churned out.

Zoe L.

Yelp
Very good pizza, highly recommend this place. I was told about it from a friend who referred to it as the best pizza he ever had and it did not disappoint

Joann R.

Yelp
This is the best PIZZA shop in PITTSFORD! Yes the slices are huge, thin crust and Absolutely delicious. The shop is awesome with the Statue of Liberty murel and Brooklyn Bridge, NYC subway. You have to be born in NYC to appreciate this pizza parlor. The staff Always friendly and they make u feel at home. Tables are clean, great parking!!! Ok so what does need improvement bathroomand sometimes u call in to pick up the pizza and you have to wait much longer than they said on the phone, not good. They r #1 in my opinion.

Yelp
Best pizza in Downtown...or even Rochester! Seriously, these guys hold no punches when it comes to having pies ready for the crowd. It is one of the blessing of working in Center City. Taking a nice stroll across the Genny and making my happy way to The Pizza Stop for the most scrumptious NY style pizza. All I can say is that the lines move fast AND warn you all to NOT be on your stupid phones when in line. It pisses people off and you will not be served. In all seriousness, they have a sign. Think of it like the soup nazi...but you know, better dubbed pizza nazi. They have a number of pies to choose slices from to be finished off in the oven. Only takes about 2 minutes or so. I always get the bacon and pepperoni slice because it is simply too delishiz to quit. I have ventured to other types as whatever includes mushrooms, stuffed buffalo chicken and whatever includes spinach. All...great...SLICES OF HEAVEN! The garlic knots do not take a back seat...neither do the cinnamon knots. On top of all this greatness, you can grab a brewski now that they have their license to sell beer. And what's better than pizza and beer?...well pizza and red wine in my household. But this is still a great option for downtowners.

Yelp
I write this while I eat my amazing slices of pizza. I ordered a cheese and white garlic. Both were very good. Nice thin and crispy crust. Good deal for the 2 slices and a Snapple. $7 and some change. Not bad for a good slice of pie. They had a stuffed buffalo chicken slice which looked really good but it wasn't ready yet. Service was friendly enough but quick which I like on my lunch break. Stop in and enjoy some good pizza. I just have to ask if the holes we're in the plaster before and you decided to paint around them and do really cool art work. Or did you make the holes and do the said really cool art work. I must know.

Yelp
this company will never earn my business -- not only did they try to reopen prematurely during the covid crisis but they also take to their business page to make uninformed, ignorant remarks. no thanks!!
