"Hey, a new pizza joint right downtown! I must try this out.
Oh. It's tiny in here. Standing-room only for take-out, I guess. Ok, let's get a slice from one of those three pies that are not fresh from the oven. I see prices are $2.50 + $0.50 per ingredient. Sure, I'll wait for you to re-warm it in the oven. And look, they have a giant case of take-away drinks and salads in case I want to take some grab-and-go-combo for lunch.
Wait a second.... something isn't right. That kitchen is HUGE. And there are 3 giant tubs of chips. And that cook is making a sandwich, which isn't on the menu. [slapping forehead].
I see. This is the kitchen to The Raleigh Times. They knocked down the wall on Wilmington and put in a store frontage and put a pizza oven in. Which means that if this food came from the kitchen of Raleigh Times, it's probably going to be quite mediocre.
[Bite, chew, swalllow]
It is indeed mediocre.
Bland, Small. Greasy. Old. And stacks up poorly to Benny Capitale a block away.
This place will probably never go out of business because of its piggyback onto The Raleigh Times. But I'm not going back."
