The Pasta and salad were very delicious! I definitely will come back here again. Traditional Italian food from the heart. ❤️

Maybe a whole pizza is better than slices, but I ordered slices of sausage and pepperoni today. They added fresh cheese and sausage to an already made pepperoni pizza. I couldn't even get through the first slice. Absolutely horrible.

Just finished off a couple of slices of the Supreme. It was very filling. I was sharing the pie with my brother, and he really does not like onions, so we asked them to hold the onions. No onions, no problem. Brother happy. Sometimes it's the attention to detail that make the difference. It let's people know you care. I would definiteley like to enjoy some more pizza from Pizza Times. Get some when you can.

Google
Excellent pizza. Love the crispy crunch of the crust. If you get the lunch special, your pizza will be ready very quickly. I just wish they had a bigger spot with seating indoors. But we enjoyed eating ours at Moore Square which is a short walk away, so that was nice too.

Google
Searching for a pizza place because I was an out of towner . I went to this place on March 30th and ordered a slice of the chicken bacon ranch pizza and added broccoli, red onion and bannana peppers !! This pizza was sooooooo good !!! I had to leave a review ! I also topped the pizza off with their ranch dressing !! Please try you will loveeeeeee it :)

This was our first experience with The Pizza Times. Ordering over the phone was a challenge. I called three times. The first time it just rang nonstop, the second time I was in the middle of placing my order and was disconnected. The third time was a charm. 4 Stars because of the ordering process. The food itself was good. The food was fresh and hot out of the oven. We ordered pepperoni pizza, well done. The 18" pizza massive in size. More than enough for two people. It had a decent "cheese pull", and the pepperoni was full of flavor. The pizza sauce wasn't anything special. The crust was thick and moist. It wasn't stiff and hard, so that was great. We went back a few days later and tried their chicken bacon ranch pizza. It was decent, but it was undercooked (the chicken was precooked, so that was fine). I wouldn't recommend that pizza.

Google
Really great crust, not NY style, a doughy crisp crust. I really liked it. It's only carry out but a great value and damn tasty!!

Google
I had lunch there today a slice of Pizza a salad and a drink. This is a great lunch deal I also had a garlic knot it was amazing. if you are close by stop in and see them you will not be disappointed.

Yelp
The pizza and garlic knots are delicious! Thin crust and good prices. Service is always great and quick. Hours are great and open on Sundays!

Yelp
I really wanted to like this pizza, but it was lacking in flavor. This is take out only. I ordered 2 slices to go. You'd think that since it's take out only you'd get fresh slices. Nope, no telling how long these were sitting in the case but even so, I had high hopes. I reheated in air fryer which usually gives really good results. But this pizza just had no flavor to it.

Yelp
Great tasting pizza with quality ingredients! Also their kale salad with their dressing is to die for.

Yelp
If you've ever wondered what it's like to see the largest pizza on Earth I would visit The Pizza Times. A group of us (six) stopped by for dinner and ordered a pizza- what we received was a manhole cover topped with pepperoni, sausage, peppers, and onions! It was laughably ENORMOUS and to this day we talk about it.......but it's also a very delicious pizza with a great staff. You can get individual slices if you prefer something smaller, but if you want a delicious pizza big enough to feed a large family go here. We'll be back!
google avatar

Gail T.

Yelp
Best pizza ever. There's no indoor seating but outside in the courtyard nearby, there's benches you could sit and enjoy the delicious fresh pizza that they make.

Yelp
Update: It's the PIZZA that's great, not the slices! I've figured out all the conflicting reviews. They're pubbing the wrong items! The slices are at best OK, and let you feel good about having eaten healthier pizza. My recommendation: be sure to get a full-size PIZZA - they make it fresh with the toppings and it tastes incredible. When they make the slices they par-bake the pizza, and it's just OK. Read my previous review for the full story, but I worry about this business promoting their slices instead of their full-size pizzas. Everyone who has gotten a slice hasn't felt compelled to return. Alternative: they have a rotating special slice straight from a fully-cooked pizza, and I suspect those are also probably delicious.

Yelp
Pizza Times is a great pizza slice grab-N-go location in Downtown Raleigh. It's quick, yummy with large portions, reasonably priced and the customer service was great. Their lunch specials are $7 for 2-1 topping pizzas or 1-1 topping pizza, with a salad and a drink. There might not be a place to eat in the restaurant, but there are tables a quick 2 min walk away. The line was quick and they gave us a nice to-go bag. The pizza was juicy, with a great crust and the sauce was to die for. Definitely a great buy while you're on your lunch break or being a tourist downtown.

Yelp
I used to eat at this place for work lunch on a regular basis 2 years ago, and it was fabulous. Went back last night (5/15/23) for a take out pie for dinner with my son, and it was perhaps the worst pizza I have had in years. We have eaten at all the pizza places in town over 25+ years. Gumby's was better than what we had last night. Literally 6 slices of pepperoni on an 18" pie, and 6 mushroom slices. Crust was burned on the bottom, and cheese had the texture of waxed paper. The kid making the pizza appeared to have little confidence in what he was doing. Truly awful and will not go back. Would not recommend.

Yelp
Y'all. Stop sleeping on this place - it is SO DARN GOOD. Like "best pizza we've had in the area" good. The garlic knots are *chef's kiss* and the charred pepperonis are splendid. The crust! It holds up when you pick up your slice! The cheese - melty in all the right places. We eat here at least once a week. For the price, it can't be beat.
google avatar

Jeff F.

Yelp
I got a slice here and it was really good, the crust was given a nice char in the oven which I like. The price was right too! Lots and lots of cheese! I wish they had some seating, I'm not sure if it's ok to take the pizza into the bar and eat it, considering it's owned by the same people I'd think so, but I didn't see anyone doing that so I ate it in my car.

Yelp
Location reminds me of a grab and go at any of our local college spots. Its design is of such (no in house dining or standing) and its downtown parking. The lunch special was nice 1-topping slice, very nice garden salad and a drink for $7.. The slice its self had a very nice crust almost cornmealish (great crunch) couldn't really taste the sauce (it seemed flavorless.) I will agree with a previous review - a box for to go slices would be great. The bag and plate(s) was over kill. If in the area and craving a quick slice, I'd pick it up again. Exceptional customer service though

Yelp
I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a good slice of pizza. they are extremely unorganized when taking your order and ask you numerous times what you had on your slices and still end up getting it completely wrong. I would recommend Benny's pizza and if they are closed wait till they are open before coming here.

Yelp
Randomly stumbled upon this place and I'm so glad I did. Best garlic knots and mozzarella sticks I've ever had! The pizza slice I got was amazing too and it was huge. All the portions were massive and the prices were great too. All of the food I got plus a soda were all $18 and I had plenty of leftovers for the next day as well. The guy who took my order and rang me up was super friendly and welcoming as well. I'll definitely be coming back to this place next time I'm in Raleigh.

Yelp
I was at this location Raleigh pizza time tonight July 27 I ordered a pizza picked it up came home with it open the pizza its old I shop here for the past three years since I moved from New York to North Carolina they used to have very good pizza now the new manager a woman she has the employees making pizzas in advance they're all sitting on top of each other for hours and hours who Who wants old pizza I stopped buying slices cause they were always old .I started ordering a whole pizza so I can get a fresh pizza tonight I get a old ass full pizza pie that's my last straw I'm not buying no more pizza from this place I will find another shop that's up to par people have money to spend and we can spend it at another location at another pizza place If you don't care I don't care. I wish I could give this place no stars.

Yelp
Whoever is the brains behind this establishment is a smart mo-fo! This space used to be visible to Wilmington street as the Raleigh Times kitchen/ storage space. They have since sectioned off a portion and turned it into another establishment!!! PIZZA!!!!!! Cheap fair pricing! Combo specials! Thin crust pizza, perfect sizing. Fast speedy service. I don't mind spending a few Washington's here!

Mark D.

Yelp
Updated review...not sure what happened the last time I ordered, but the crust was super bland and not fully cooked, toppings were sparse at best, and the workers were all over the place and unorganized. Had I not been here before, I'd 100% not go back. I'll give them one more shot though.

Yelp
Ordered 1 pizza. They said it would be 25-30 minutes. We showed up 40 minutes later. They charged us immediately and looked around for our order, opening all the ovens and searching for our pizza. They said they hadn't started it yet. After 15 additional minutes, someone brought pizza dough from the back to start making the pizza. We asked if they even started making it. They asked if we were from Grubhub or an ordering service and they couldn't find our pizza. We stated we just called it in like normal. They had no idea what was going on, didn't look like they would even start cooking it anytime soon. Other customers were in there as well, looking very aggravated. We then just asked for our money back. It's not a huge deal if the pizza would take an hour+ or so, but the lack of communication and overall lack of order is just unacceptable.

Yelp
"Hey, a new pizza joint right downtown! I must try this out. Oh. It's tiny in here. Standing-room only for take-out, I guess. Ok, let's get a slice from one of those three pies that are not fresh from the oven. I see prices are $2.50 + $0.50 per ingredient. Sure, I'll wait for you to re-warm it in the oven. And look, they have a giant case of take-away drinks and salads in case I want to take some grab-and-go-combo for lunch. Wait a second.... something isn't right. That kitchen is HUGE. And there are 3 giant tubs of chips. And that cook is making a sandwich, which isn't on the menu. [slapping forehead]. I see. This is the kitchen to The Raleigh Times. They knocked down the wall on Wilmington and put in a store frontage and put a pizza oven in. Which means that if this food came from the kitchen of Raleigh Times, it's probably going to be quite mediocre. [Bite, chew, swalllow] It is indeed mediocre. Bland, Small. Greasy. Old. And stacks up poorly to Benny Capitale a block away. This place will probably never go out of business because of its piggyback onto The Raleigh Times. But I'm not going back."

Yelp
Wow. That is a wonderful pizza- mushroom. Spinach and ricotta. Walked on the street and ate it. Fun fun and tasty

Yelp
I stopped by here the other day for lunch since I work on Fayetteville. I love pizza and being from the Northeast, I love NY style. So I was pretty excited to try this new spot. It ended up being just alright. They have two $7 lunch specials: 2 slices and a drink, or 1 slice, a drink, and a side salad. I got 1 slice of pepperoni and 1 of the small side salads with ranch. Since I don't really like soda or anything I didn't get the lunch special, but it'd be a solid deal if you wanted a drink. First off, I was a little weary of the salads because the lettuce looked a little limp like they'd been sitting for a long time. It was also VERY hot inside Pizza Times (which I found really uncomfortable) and I wondered if that was affecting the salads sitting in the cold case. Regardless, I got the classic side salad with ranch. They also have a kale one. The pizza was fine enough, though very greasy. I'm guessing from the pepperoni. My slice was dripping all over my plate. The slice tasted good but didn't knock my socks off. The salad was also fine -- it was a pretty small serving of lettuce and did taste like it'd been sitting for a day since being chopped. Overall, this place is probably best for late night drunk food. I probably won't rush back for lunch.

Yelp
As of right now....Just okay. The spot is small but nice, with enough space perhaps for perhaps a dozen people to stand (it's takeout only so no tables or chairs). When I came in I was the only one there but was promptly greeted and my order taken. I opted for a slice with ground beef and onions and a kale caesar salad. The total came to a little over $6 which wasn't bad at all. Unfortunately price aside there were a few things I wasn't a big fan of. First off my order took about 20 minutes to get to me, which if I was in a hurry would be a bit of a turn-off, especially because slice places tend to be much quicker. Next despite this being takeout only my pizza was given to me on one paper plate and stuffed in a bag. Because of this I had to awkwardly balance my salad, pizza and croutons (packed separately) as I tried to make it home without dropping anything or squishing my pizza in the bag. PLEASE get pizza slice boxes. It would save everyone the juggling. Finally, while the ground beef on the pizza was tasty as was the crust the onions were raw. I was hoping for caramelized or at least cooked a bit, but they were the same white onions that go on a burger. The salad overall was tasty, I surprisingly liked the addition on peppers on a caesar! Perhaps a few more croutons though? I only got three. Here's hoping some of my complaints are just due to it being their first week, I was really looking forward to the spot since it so close to my apartment. Crossing my fingers I can up the score soon!

Yelp
If you're looking for a simple late night slice, Pizza Times will scratch that itch. It's standing room only inside. In the lobby area there's bottled drinks, cookies, and brownies. They also display salad offerings that looked decent - kale Cesar and house salad. The staff was friendly when I visited. And when a slice I ordered got a little too toasty in the oven, they offered to replace it before I had to ask. I got a slice of pineapple and slice of plain cheese. I was pleasantly surprised that the pineapple was fresh- not from a can! The pizza wasn't mind blowing but it was hot and available at 11pm. Their pizza has thin crust, and not heavy on cheese or sauce.

Yelp
Ordered a large pizza the other night and it was just ok. It's kinda the wet type of pizza. So if you like a lot of sauce then you'll probably like it. I would've given it three stars but it's pretty pricy for a pizza - $16 for a base large pizza and $2.50 for toppings. DeMo's is just as good if not better and it's much cheaper. Also if you just want a slice, I much prefer Benny's just a block away.

Joe G.

Yelp
Asked for a slice of pizza and the worker literally gave me the smallest piece possible hardly anything toppings...I asked for another one and was declined...very rude
google avatar

Sofia L.

Yelp
This place has pretty good pizzas but the last TWO TIMES I've gone with TWO different employees they've been completely and utterly rude to me and boyfriend. I'm not one to usually leave reviews but after this happening to us twice I felt it was necessary to let other people know and to maybe get the attention of the management. We tried calling five times before driving downtown to place an order to go and they just didn't answer so we assumed they were closed just to find out they were completely ignoring our calls. Not only that but when we walked in we weren't greeted at all and we're just completely dismissed when trying to place an order. Although the pizzas pretty good we unfortunately won't be returning.

Yelp
Pizza by the slice is the only way to do it! I love this place and hope it thrives for years to come. It's designed to be quick, easy, and tasty and it does that well. Looking forward to my next outing in DTR. I will absolutely be back.

Diana E.

Yelp
This is an awesome slice of pizza. Best I've had since moving to North Carolina 25 years ago. Sauce is fabulous. What a treat!! Great little to go spot!!!
google avatar

Chyna R.

Yelp
The staff are great the chef has the kitchen in order . Food is made in timely manner , prices are fair
google avatar

Anthony G.

Yelp
I ordered online and picked it up with no hassle or drama. The pizza with homemade sausage was like eating Nick Jonas. It was succulent and full of flavor. I think the price and the product are spot on and I cannot wait to get fatter and visit more often. I loved the lady that was there on Saturday, she was old school Goth and very suave!

Yelp
Food is always good. I love this bar on all sides. Tonight was interesting. Called at 8:30, was put on hold till 8:45 and then hung up on. No answer when I called back. Called again and was told that they are only selling slices now because it's 15 till closing. I let her know I was on hold for 15 minutes previously and was not given any other option but slices. Came and ordered 3 slices. Paid. Received my order and thanked the girl and asked her name being completely nice not bringing up the call situation. She refused to give her name and I was thinking maybe she didn't hear me, but she that said she wouldn't give her name. I asked why confused by it all, then she said it's weird, I then asked what's weird about asking a name. She then said her name was Anne, doubt that was true (young female with dark hair). I wasn't going to write this because I love what's going on here, but she just Kept creating a problem. It wasn't busy at all and calls continued to come in but were just sent to VM. Slices were available to sell too. Really unnecessary. I will continue to come here when I travel from out of state from Utah. Food and beer are awesome. I come here every night I'm in town, that's how much I enjoy it. I even drive here from my hotel 30 minutes away to come here every night. Just wish it was a better experience this time. I even feel guilty for writing this.

Amie D.

Yelp
Love being a regular here!! Great quality, grab and go pizza with quick staff who has always been helpful to me.

Mike W.

Yelp
Not sure if this was a one-time thing or if there pizza is always like this, but man...I ordered a lunch special (2 slices). One pepperoni and one cheese. Both were pretty spicy. Pepperoni, I kind of expect. But even the cheese (plain) slice had a pretty big kick to it. I think crushed red pepper was added. I'll try them again in the future to see if this was a one-time show, or if this is the norm.
google avatar

Mary W.

Yelp
20 minutes for one slice of pizza, and I ordered ahead online? Kind of ridiculous and definitely not worth it.
google avatar

Cori B.

Yelp
Raleigh Times has a grab n go stop for slices n pies late night in the DTR. One of our group didn't have an entirely satisfying dinner elsewhere so we stopped by for a slice at 11pm. We got jalops and pineapple. It was nice to see that the jalops were fresh. The crust was also done well. What came together at the end was a perfectly edible slice of pizza, likely as good or better than many choices in the triangle, but nothing special. I still think pizza in the triangle remains unexcellent around here. Not bad, not great. Would definitely return for a late night snack in the future.
google avatar

Hanna C.

Yelp
Chantel went above and beyond with customer service last night! I ordered a pizza online and messed up. None of my toppings saved on the website during my order.. I didn't double check it and ended up with a cheese pizza. Chantel didn't even blink before she gave me a new pizza! For that reason alone, I will be returning! Pizza was very good as well!!

Ruben B.

Yelp
Every city outside a major hub needs its quick and cheap pizza spot. This is downtown Raleigh's spot. $3 slice & .5 for topping. Skip the dominos just come to this place.

Pamela F.

Yelp
I was so excited to order this pizza! Unfortunately it was the worst pizza I've ever had. It was so greasy the cheese slid off the pie before I got it to my mouth. I felt like I needed to shower and wash my face after one slice, the grease was so bad. Just really gross. The crust was completely soggy and limp because of the weight of the grease. Perhaps it's just not my style of pizza. I won't be ordering again.

Roy W.

Yelp
I didn't think it was possible for any pizza to taste this bad while inebriated. It's like the pizza was made with Kraft singles and sliced hotdogs. It's in fact amazing how they managed to make something that taste nothing like pizza to look like pizza.

Anna S.

Yelp
The sauce lacks flavor, making the pizza very underwhelming. I hope it improves as they figure things out because this could be a great spot.

John S.

Yelp
The pizza is great and the manager Will is always welcoming, super friendly, and attentive to the customers. Their daily specials are always interesting and the lunch special pricing is very reasonable. My friends and I definitely plan on coming back a lot!
