I'm going to say first off this is my second time eating here. I had a great experience the first time. Food was amazing and so was the drinks. I brought my cousin out because I wanted her to see how good the food was. Well the food didn't disappoint the service did though. I'm going to give it a 2 because we got what we needed but just didn't feel attended too. The waitress seemed to be everywhere but at our table. I wanted another drink had to flag her down. Wanted to go containers had to flag her down. I don't know it was because it was understaffed, end of the night doesn't matter to me. Not really my business what's going on I just want good service. It actually turned me off to the point I'm considering not coming back. There are plenty of places to spend my money and feel taken care of. I came here specifically because the food is actually good. Service was just very poor tonight. Hopefully it's just a one time thing and not a permanent situation.

Great food , great drinks , great service. Only rant is the chimmichurri steak frites came super well done and we didn’t get a choice of temperature when we ordered it

Went here for brunch and it seemed like they hadn't recovered from the night before. We needed to ask for salt and pepper and were given empty grinders and it looked like the light at our booth was damaged by drinkers. It smelled like spilled beer. The food was okay, bacon was overdone and the waiter didn't clarify one of our egg orders (ie. didn't ask fried/scrambled when one of us didn't specify). In a pinch I would go again, but for the price the atmosphere should be much different "the morning after".

If you’re going to playwright for brunch in the winter…dress for summer. Apparently, they have a BIZARRE “company policy” that does not allow the employees to pull the window shades down to block the sun. When you ask management as to why they cannot pull down the shade, they simply reply “it’s company policy there is nothing we can do.” SO if you plan to attend brunch here in the winter, simply DON’T and save yourself from sweating your ass off and go to the million other brunch restaurants nearby. This ruined our time eating and drinking because we were so hot. Respectfully, the policy is the dumbest shit I’ve ever heard. HOWEVER, Robbie is the best possible server at the restaurant. So if you have him, you’re in excellent hands!

Google
This is the spot to be for a group of friends for brunch! Amazing selection of brunch food, good portions, and amazing towers! The prices were reasonable too - for about $50 the towers will give you about 10 drinks. We also got a pitcher of the espresso martini and it was a 10/10. And with all that, the servers were so great and the ambiance was super fun. Great music and vibes!!!

Google
When you’re in a corner booth & management canNOT give you an extra chair because “they are expecting to get slammed” and you and you’re 8 friends sitting & 1 standing order many drinks and apps and food , but no one ever comes for the other tables by the time you leave, I would say that’s piss poor customer service. Food was great and wait staff so friendly. One star for awful management.

Meghan Hanagan

Google
Food and service was great. We had Robbie he was great! However, we were sat by the large window for brunch and it was sweltering hot from the sun shinning through the window to the point where it was blinding. We were all so uncomfortable sweating (when it was 30 degrees out) and when asked if we could lower the shade so we could see the person in front of us they said management doesn’t allow it. Management needs to fix this issue even the staff were holding their arms up to see just to take our order. Why management wouldn’t allow us to lower the blinds for their customers and staff comfort when they are sweating hot and can’t see is beyond me. It ruined our experience. Do better!!

I went to Playwright this past weekend to check out the night life and boozy brunch . First off a friend and I went to the bar on a Friday night … it was packed for such a tiny place !!! It was loud but not in a good way , the crowd was louder than the music so it sounded like constant yelling . Our bartender was lovely and the service was awesome …. Sunday afternoon some friends and I went out for a boozy brunch . We ordered one of their drink towers HIGHLY RECOMMEND ! I had the croque madam and breakfast poutine . I must say what ruined it for me me was the eggs , I don’t think you have an option for how you want your eggs on top . I’m all for over easy but it was not cooked so that was a disappointment. Would definitely try with an over medium eggs if I have that option . My friends ordered the chicken and waffles and said the chicken was phenomenal we also ordered some nachos but the steak was undercooked . All in all 4/5 drinks were on point will be returning for those , staff is amazing and the service was fast . Trying the dinner menu next time ‼️

Yelp
Very nice spot the atmosphere resembled a high end sports bar. Food ratings below: -Sesame ginger chicken tenders 9/10 I thought these were fantastic had a good heat and the cabbage paired well -Cesar Salad 10/10 fantastic -Nachos 7/10 eat this hot everything congealed quickly -Parmesan fries - 8/10 steak fry cut. Solid not amazing

Yelp
I got two cocktails from here and loved both! The "down cape" was very pretty and tasty. I also enjoyed the "starstruck" drink. The restaurant is very large and has plenty of seating. The servers and bartenders are all very nice. My only complaint is that some of the things on the menu are not actually available. I tried to order a sangria but no luck.

Alex M.

Yelp
The playwright is back and better than ever. I was quite impressed with the food, especially the Alabama white wings. The truffle fries with their aioli was also delicious. Our server was very friendly and helped us with his favorites from the menu. The ambiance of this restaurant is very well put together with a fun theme and plenty of TVs for game day. If in the southie area, definitely stop by!!

Oren R.

Yelp
Waiting on line at playwright.... Line is crazy mess long. It's a fun place tho. The bouncer was kind of a chiller ngl. Food is probably good but Uber never had it. My friends and I like this place because we get to talk to fun people and drink while doing it! What a combo!!!!

Aynsley W.

Yelp
We came on Saturday for college football, love the vibes. We wanted to order every starter, fries are a must, and the Caesar is fresh and delicious. No croutojs but crispy breadcrumbs and shredded parm. So good!

Brooke C.

Yelp
Super fun spot for dinner, brunch or a night out. Great food and drinks. Awesome atmosphere to watch football too!!

Claire M.

Yelp
Food was ok Drinks are very good my server was very attentive with a great attitude. Made our experience enjoyable. Not to mention easy on the eyes.

Sara W.

Yelp
Service was almost impressively bad. The one star goes only to the food, which was decent. We sat at the bar at 7PM on a Wednesday (not super busy) & in 2.5 hours, we were only able to put in an order of nachos & 2 rounds of drinks--we were ignored for large chunks of time. We wanted to order entrees, but were ignored for 45 minutes so just decided to close out. And I mean IGNORED. We made eye contact & signaled to the bartenders & would say "excuse me" whenever they walked past us but they would look at us & keep walking. It was actually crazy. I haven't made a yelp review in years but had to because of how bizarre it was. I'm shocked. Like seriously, it was so awful I'm pretty convinced that the restaurant's gimmick is ignoring people (like how they're mean to you at Dick's Last Resort). My boyfriend just called it the worst service in Boston. Also want to add that we noticed the same behavior towards the majority of the other patrons at the bar--there were maybe 2-3 people that the bartenders actually regularly attended to. Picture of nachos below because that's the only thing we were allowed to eat.

Catherine M.

Yelp
This was such a disappointment. We made a reservation for 2:15 on a Saturday and we're able to sit outside. Our server took forever to come over. We ordered a mimosa tower, water and put our food order in. It took an hour and for us to get WATER. WATER. The server told us that all the cups were in the dishwasher. The table behind us got water right away. Once the table behind us got water it took at least another 20 minutes to get water. The food was okay my friend and I split nachos. There wasn't a lot of cheese on it. My boyfriend got the breakfast burrito and said it came with Greek yogurt instead of sour cream. My friends and I also split the grapefruit mimosa tower but I would not recommend. My friend got a coke in the smallest glass possible. She asked for a refill and did not got a refill and was charged for 2 cokes which didn't make sense because It was free refills for sodas. She said since she already paid she couldn't refund our card so she gave my friend $3 in cash. All in all I would not go back here again it was not a fun experience. The server was not apologetic about the delay or mistakes which made it worse.

Jayjay S.

Yelp
Burger wasn't that good, I would've expected better for bar food. The service took forever and the place wasn't that packed.

Yelp
Brunch is supposed to be a fun experience in a nice atmosphere - not here. Our waitress was not professional at al or even friendly. When we finished putting our food and drinks order in, she didn't even acknowledge us, she just walked away, leaving my friends and I confused. We all asked for waters, which we didn't get until AFTER we finished eating. The excuse? all the cups were in the dishwasher, allegedly - the table next to us got waters right after our waitress said this, and it took us another 20 mins to get our waters. They were apparently all out of cutlery, but only for our table; while tables near us got napkins and cutlery, we were brought plastic cutlery that couldn't even hold a pancake. The food was fine, but honestly the terrible service and the lack of water made it a miserable experience. Two of my friends got the nachos, which were fine but mostly just chips and definitely lacking on toppings. My other friends shared the breakfast burrito. The presentation was horrible; it didnt even come cut in half and they just threw it on a plate with no sides. They also said that even though it was grilled, the burrito was cold, and instead of sour cream, they got greek yoghurt. My boyfriend and I shared the pancakes and chicken and waffles. Both were fine, but we had to ask for syrup for the pancakes, even though the menu clearly described syrup came with it. We asked for an additional plate for sharing from the beginning, which we had to keep asking for, and got when the food was already cold. If that wasn't enough, my friend asked for a coke, which, btw, is free refills. It came in the smallest glass possible, she never got a refill when she asked for one, and then got charged for 2 cokes! Just incredibly an incredibly messy, unpleasant and all around dissatisfying experience. There are MANY other good brunch places in the area to try instead of wasting your time and money here. No wonder this business is marked as "unclaimed" on yelp!

Taylor C.

Yelp
It was fun. Very crowded. Service was immaculate and food was great. Perfect spot for a game night or night on the town.

Michelle C.

Yelp
The theatre geek in me was drawn to the name. What do you mean that's not how people choose brunch locations? Parking is hard to find. Be prepared to park and walk. Lock your car and hide valuables. Just a thought: Put your friendliest host/ess to welcome patrons. The host wasn't horrible but I got the feeling that I was inconveniencing him by asking to be seated. The waitstaff and servers were friendly friendly and attentive. The brunch menu was small and manageable. I got the Croque Madame with a side of sausage and avocado, and a boozy iced coffee. If you're a lightweight forgo the boozy iced coffee you might not be able to get up and down the rolling inclines of this Southie neighborhood. (Opinion may or may not be based on actual events). The vanilla vodka, Irish cream, cold brew coffee and whipped cream was an absolute delight. The Croque Madame was a combination of sweet and savory that left me feeling satisfied that this was my #cheatday choice. This dish is a Belgian waffle stack with béchamel sauce, honey ham, cheese and topped with a fried egg (that I wished was a bit runnier). Forkfuls of this genius combination dipped in maple syrup was a recovering fat kid's dream. It would be four stars but my welcome didn't feel like a welcome and I would have gone elsewhere had it not taken 20 minutes to find parking.

Yelp
I came here to meet some friends visiting for brunch before they head out to the airport. We came pretty early on a Sunday (9:30am), so it was not crowded at all. We ended up skipping drinks, but I had a cold brew which was fine. The cocktail menu looked delicious, they have Mimosa "Towers", which look fun. I ordered the eggs benedict, which is my go-to. There was something "off" about the dish. The english muffin was not toasted and there was not nearly enough hollandaise for me. I wanted to like it, because it was pretty! Points for the atmosphere, will have to try some drinks next time!

Libby B.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for lunch. The only outdoor tables available were in the sun and it was a bit too hot so we went inside. Hostess was nice, said we could sit wherever we liked. I got the turkey BLAT wrap, which was good and tots on the side which were delicious. Waitress was very friendly and attentive. The place wasn't very busy either.

Colleen E.

Yelp
My favorite bar in Southie. The drinks are always strong and the service is friendly and quick. If you and your party want the same drink I recommend getting a pitcher. The pickle chips are a great starter if you need to meet the current covid rules. On the weekends they play top 40 hits which creates a fun ambience. have been 3 times during covid-19 and definitely felt they were following the guidelines.

Ryan L.

Yelp
-people don't come here horny and on the prowl, they come with friends for good food, good drinks and a good time. -Nikki took care of us

Khadijah W.

Yelp
We went on a Sunday morning, wasn't busy at all, and the service was great. The food was amazing and it came out quickly. The music choice topped it off, making this a great experience for me. I definitely have to go back for the dinner menu

Klarissa L.

Yelp
This restaurant was extremely underwhelming. I ordered the Nashville tenders and received a hair in my food. Not only did I have a hair in my food but the utensils were dirty in a time where they should probably be extra clean. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the food here and the atmosphere was extremely unpleasant and so loud I couldn't hear my own table or waitress. You do not have to waste time here, just save your time and money and ignore this recommendation from TikTok please.

Krizia V.

Yelp
The music was pumping. The drinks were flowing. Highly recommend the tater tots. This was a fun spot to come with friends and grab a couple of pitchers and listen to music. They have a jukebox and everyone can pick the music that is being played. It's a lot of fun but be prepared for a lot of drunk people yelling to each other across the room which makes it slightly less covid friendly.

Mary C.

Yelp
Really great vibes but expensive for quality of food. Highly suggest for a good time and their mimosa tours though!

Brianna F.

Yelp
This is our normal brunch spot for Sunday's. Waitress service was excellent per usual and the food was very good. Strange experience when we arrived that had never happened before. We were asked if we had a reservation by the man at the hostess stand and when we said no, he had us follow him (without menus) past empty tables (restaurant was less than half full) to seat us on the end of a long raised table situated between the bar and the low tables. It had comfortable bar stools and was a fine place to sit, it was just strange. The. He went and got us paper menus instead of the normal menus they take from the pile at the hostess stand. We were served quickly and got our food pretty fast. We'd started eating when the host brought a couple and sat them right next to us on the raised bar table seating. The woman asked if they could leave a seat open between us and the host said no (as if there was a need for us to sit right next to each other when there were 10 empty seats on the table past where he wanted them to sit, half the bars stools at the bar were still empty and only half of the tables in the seating area were filled with diners). We were all confused by him and said as such amongst ourselves. We continued to eat, they ordered and we finished and paid. We left the restaurant some time later with still no one sitting in the empty 10 seats that the host wouldn't allow the couple to sit in. So, good food, great waitress service, but they need a new guy at the front of the house. Left a bad taste for the entire experience. I got the Buffalo Benedict which was delicious. Eggs were nice and runny and chicken was crispy. I have also had the steak hash which was good but could use a side of hollandaise sauce or something as it is a little dry. On both the English muffins were barely toasted, it would be nice if they were griddled.

Grace L.

Yelp
The food is so good! Love it for a brunch spot. We sat outside today and our waitress, Kiley, was so rude from the second we sat down to the second we left. I've never been treated so coldly by anyone, it was as if we insulted her by patronizing the restaurant. She didn't bring us napkins utensils or plates until around 10 minutes after our food arrived, so it was already cold. We asked her if we could switch tables to an empty table next to ours that was closer to the heather and she was very unpleasant and ultimately said no. Also it's really really cold in their outside area. They def need more heaters. And nicer servers.

Mason B.

Yelp
We were visiting from Michigan and unfortunately, they refused to take our IDs. The server was very rude about it because she thought she caught "fake" ids. We're 23. She was also the same server I had on my 23rd birthday under a month prior but she did not remember (not that I expected her to). She refused to take our vaccine cards as backup proof so we were just told to leave.

Alex A.

Yelp
This is a great establishment with great services. 10/10 would recommend. If you aren't coming here you are missing out.

Sarah A.

Yelp
I made a reservation to take an out-of-town friend here on a Sunday at about noon. I showed up and expected the place to be packed (I mean, it's Sunday brunch!) but we were one of only a handful of tables. My friend and I both got cocktails -- she got the Irish coffee and I got something fruity -- which were both good. I later followed mine up with a traditional mimosa, which was great. I got the steak hash while my friend got a traditional benedict. We were both a little disappointed with the state of the eggs: somehow the yolks were cooked through but the whites were still runny. We dealt with it though, because the rest of the food was good. The steak hash was actually amazing, and was quite a large portion! After I had eaten my fill, there was still enough to take home and split for breakfast the next day. We also got an order of the donuts, which were absolutely delicious. My only complaint other than the eggs, was that the service was somewhat lacking. We both felt that the server was a bit inattentive, and we were often left waiting for our water glasses to be filled. She was friendly enough, but definitely seemed distracted. That being said, it wasn't terrible, just not quite what I was expecting.

Niki R.

Yelp
On Sunday November 3, while visiting from out of town, my friends and I stopped in to the Playwright. I have been here several times while visiting and always have an enjoyable time, but this time the experience turned out to be quite the opposite. I wish I had caught the name of the bartender who was the problem (dark, long brunette haired young lady). To start, she mentioned that she was having a rough morning. Possibly she was trying to be funny, however this is something as a customer that I don't want to hear about. We ordered the Mimosa tower. The tower that she poured our mimosas into was broken. Instead of getting a functional tower, she taped the top shut with masking tape. Not ideal, but not the end of the world either. Our party paid as we went with cash instead of on a credit card. She gave us a disgusted look when we paid/tipped her for the first tower. We proceeded to order a second Mimosa tower, but for this tower we asked to lighten up on the OJ and put a little bit of cranberry juice in it instead. Upon paying for this tower, the bartender made a snide remark about how much we left for tip. She essentially called our party "cheap" because we didn't leave 20% tip on an $80 tower, yet we she was inattentive the entire time we were there. She stated that she went "out of her way" to take out the soda gun to put some cranberry juice in the tower (a pretty basic task if you ask me). Even if she felt negatively about the lack of tip she thought she deserved, there are more professional ways to bring it to the attention of the customers rather than calling them cheap (i.e, asking the customers what she could have done better, asking for feedback about the service, etc). The whole situation was unfortunate because we were going to stay for an extended period of the afternoon to watch the 1 PM football games, and we were planning to order food and more drinks. It was for sure a lost opportunity due to a poor attitude. The manager on staff handled the situation appropriately and offered to find us a table away from the bar so we could finish our overpriced mimosa tower. We would have stayed longer, but we were all disgusted by how we were treated and how this bartender handled the situation. I am not one to write reviews (no matter how good or bad the experience), however this one was one I had to share because it was so disappointing. There are so many options to choose from in the neighborhood, therefore I will have to reconsider the destination the next time I visit town.

John L.

Yelp
Food quality is decent but charging $14 for a halfhearted app is frustrating. I'd like to go back and give them my business but not for this lackluster quantity. You can do better than this Playwright especially during this troubling time. Help me help you.

Maral M.

Yelp
This place was pretty cool. Went to meet my girlfriends friends with her. Sat outside on theese super long wooden tables, they were very clean however. After 10pm the patio closes and patrons will all go back inside

Hannah B.

Yelp
Our reservation was cancelled after ten minutes, we were looking for parking and tried to call.

Cindy N.

Yelp
The new patio / outdoor addition was done very well and gives this place so much potential but the drinks and food were less than desirable. We tried sangria, margaritas and the truly towers and all came out watered down with little to no alcohol. The food menu was also interesting - mix of bar food but then has healthy hipster options like grain bowls. The food was likely worse than the drinks. Burgers looked like they had come right out of the freezer and patties were extremely small. Buffalo chicken dip was thick and has weird consistency. The best thing were the curly fries which I'd imagine is hard to mess up. Wouldn't recommend for food, but is a decent place to grab drinks before heading to a better venue but maybe just pass on the mixed drinks.

Liane P.

Yelp
I used to love coming here for Bachelor Mondays and Trivia but they have since cancelled both. I am extremely disappointed about this and know that many others are as well. I was a Bachelor Monday regular and would get dinner and drinks there every week. They will now be losing out on this business. I have refrained from writing a review about my poor dining experiences until now because I used to love the Playwright and enjoyed these weekly events. I have gone to dinner there three separate times in the past few months (when it was not busy) and had bad service each time. Waitresses do not check in on their tables enough and if you want something you usually have to ask for it twice because they will not bring it to you the first time. They are also not great about keeping people's water filled and each of the times I have had dinner there I had to eat my food without a drink even after asking for one. Hopefully they can turn things around!

Taylor B.

Yelp
As I understand everything is different due to COVID, I felt like I should write a review about my friend and I's experience today at The Playwright. The food and drinks today were superb and I would absolutely go again. On the downside on things we were sat in the most uncomfortable spot, we were sat in the front of the restaurant with the sun beating down on us the whole time. We were visibly uncomfortable and literal sweat pouring down our faces and our waitress did not look like she cared one bit. There was a group of other patrons next to us and they also were visibly uncomfortable where they were sat due to them moving there seats out of the sun. Even though our waitress was probably under a lot of stress because it was busy at the time. I'd just like to say I just hoped you saw how uncomfortable we were today and next time if your customers look like how we did you would ask them if they would like to move seats. If our waitress was more attentive to our needs we would've spent a lot more money there today but, due to our situation we couldn't enjoy our food in the restaurant, so we paid, took our food and ate in the car. On a good note, the food was absolutely delicious even though we had to eat it in our car.

Adam W.

Yelp
Despite the new executive chef hire, the playwright still continues to disappoint. They've managed to create one of the better Covid-proof spots in Southie with their terrace, but it's mostly for show. They're rarely able to fill your first drink request, and sometimes, even your second. I ordered the Aloha Bowl ($16) and was met with a pool of rice with a few pineapple chunks and pieces of prosciutto mixed in. Adding a protein for half the cost (or more) of the bowl and will help to round it out, but you're much better off eating (and drinking) at many much more appealing spots on east broadway.

Jenna P.

Yelp
Homophobic and rude. My friend and I were in line out of the three of us, and he completely skipped my friend and claimed he was too drunk. The worst service I have ever had in my life and I won't forget the way he treated all of us as a whole because of my one friend. I would never recommend a place as trash as this one and I will never forget the way they treat service no matter how nice we are :(

Kyle G.

Yelp
They changed the menu recently and it is definitely for the worse. The nachos used to be bomb but this recent incarnation of them is much worse. Additionally, they removed a lot of the vegetarian options from the menu. Drinks are great though.

Sarah R.

Yelp
This was the first time I attended the playwright for a meet up with friends for brunch. What a fun lively place to be at! The age group was mostly people in their 20s. What drew me to this place was the mimosa towers ($80 & you need at least 4 people). The food was good, I just wish my eggs were warm when I got them (got the California Benedict). the service was great. My waitress was very attentive and sweet.

Kayla T.

Yelp
My friends and I came here during covid and they didn't even try to let our group sit together with the max of 6 rule even though the table next to us was empty for an hour. They are absurdly strict about their time limit even though we were there to watch a March Madness final four game for our alma mater that went into overtime. They also would not let us watch through the window on the sidewalk even though we weren't blocking any traffic or other patrons. Overall bitchy hostesses and security. Would avoid at all costs if you're looking for an actual fun sports bar. Would give it 0 stars if I could.

Erica P.

Yelp
The hosts at this establishment were not only rude when we asked how long the wait was but asked the manager to come over because "we were being rude" when telling the host we had put our name on the wait list. After telling them our phone number they dismissed us and pointed to where we could sit rather than addressing us and apologizing for not remembering us and being incompetent. Don't expect high standards here.

Caroline Y.

Yelp
I've had good meals here, but my roommates and I made a 1pm reservation here for a Bruins game. We arrived for our reservation and were told we couldn't be seated because of the game. They weren't limiting seating times and we received no call saying they couldn't honor our reservation. I tried to call the restaurant that morning to confirm our reservation and there phones were down or something so we couldn't not speak to anyone. The manager was very unprofessional and even the hostess mentioned to my friend that she understood why we were upset and disagreed with her manager's handling of the situation. It was a rainy day and they said we could be seated outside. TL;DR: Spend your time and money elsewhere.

Kat R.

Yelp
A manager called me the C word. This weekend a fight broke out and they kicked out every patron. As I was walking out, I heard someone who stated that he was a manager, speaking very viciously to a few females trying to call an Uber inside because they were "scared for their safety" outside where the fighters were let loose. He yelled at them to get out of the restaurant and that he didn't care about their safety. I then decided to ask the manager to please not speak to paying customers that way (I work in customer service), and he then told me to "GET THE F**K OUT C**T". Everyone was mind blown. Who in the right mind calls someone the C word? Management here is absolutely disturbing. The guy a large bald man...

Alecia C.

Yelp
Made a reservation the day prior for lunch and received a confirmation. Drove into Boston and arrived on time to be informed they changed their hours the day before and are no longer open for lunch. Upsetting that no one updated the website to not allow for lunch reservation and that no one informed the customers that made reservations that they would not longer be open. Extremely disappointing.

Sarah G.

Yelp
Playwright had the worst service I've ever experience at a restaurant. The waiter was sarcastic & rude when our party asked where menus were, and never provided utensils or napkins nor asked if we needed them. In case you ever end up at this place, the basket with the utensils is in the central back, it's way faster to get your own utensils. The food was mediocre at best and the drink menu was full of white girl central options. If you ever hear again bring earplugs! Won't be coming back..

Yelp
I can't believe restaurants put burgers on the menu with good, brioche buns, toppings like fried jalapeños and red pepper relish, then just slap on unseasoned, overcooked, previously frozen patties hoping we won't notice??? Please for the love of god do better.

Yelp
I had a fraudulent charge to my credit card, from this lovely establishment. I've never been to The Playwright in my life. I spotted the charge, almost immediately, and reported it immediately to the credit card issuer. Be careful with your credit card, monitor your credt card charges - carefully, and BEWARE!

Yelp
Went here for a friends birthday dinner. I found it on a food review account on Instagram that gave it very high reviews. We came in around 8 and all got carded which was not expected since it was a Sunday night and had dinner reservations, and it was not disclosed anywhere that this establishment was 21+. The place was somewhat dirty and way too noisy. You could not even hear the person sitting next to you talk. Drinks were good but we left due to the establishment being too loud. There was probably about 25-30 drunk young adults standing around the bar being way to loud for an 8 o'clock on a Sunday. We came back after eating dinner somewhere more quiet for more of a fun bar scene (becuase we enjoyed our drinks earlier) and there was vomit all over the women's bathroom floor with napkins thrown on top of it. Totally disgusting and wish the staff took more care to clean it up.
