Always a joy to come here. Its neat and organized. Personally, I don't see the attitude other reviewers are mentioning. I've been here 3 times (since I live out of state) and every time I have been met with nothing less than kindness. The vibe here is lovely. The building and layout is beautiful. The selection is just shy of being top tier. Prices on thier website tend to be lower than in person based on what I checked. But its LA and you gotta keep the food open somehow. So I write the difference off as a "convenience fee" and buy it anyways haha.

Just met an amazing person named Sarah…she helped me find the toy I needed and a new friend…best staff I ever met at an adult store hands down…as a retired cop . I know something about service

I've always LOVED The Pleasure Chest, and I didn't think that I could love them anymore. However! My love is further solidified and concrete for this incredible sex positive shop and boutique! I had the most wonderful experience with customer service finding information on a gift card that was purchased by my now ex-partner during the pandemic, which I hadn't used yet and was looking to finally utilize for a couple of handsome, yummy lil items I had my eyes on for a while. Not only were they able to find said card in the system and honor such transaction (without me having to go through the ex!) but they also went above and beyond and extended a special discount in which I was trying to catch before the sale was over, *because they are just that amazing!* They honored that the conversation was held during the sale and that the gift card was unable to be rectified in that said time, so they were very generous to apply the sale. And I'm so grateful because of the new delicious goodies I was able to purchase due to their kindness and great customer service and just overall incredible business practices. Thank you once again Pleasure Chest!

Used to be great. Now is overpriced and staffed with cold, impersonal, clueless employees who can’t be bothered to feign even the smallest attempt at making customers feel welcome. After two laughably poor interactions on back- to-back days with the older woman, who (as of July 2024)has mid length pink hair, I personally have no interest in shopping and spending my money here anymore. It’s either time to find a new store or just start doing my shopping online. Likely the latter. Bummer.

Place was very nice I can’t complain , but the cashier at the counter was the worst customer service I’ve ever had. We asked him to take out the price tickets and he said he didn’t want to ruin his nails. Like use a marker or something. Plus his attitude was out of line.

Salesperson was super approachable (didn't catch their name, cool makeup & very sweet!) Made buying my first toy an enjoyable experience. Also, Sarah helped me with technical difficulties over the phone once i was home, and got my toy out of travel mode. Shoutout to Sarah 😅💓 I'll be back

I just moved here from NYC and I’m living like a block away from this establishment. I decided to go there to look for royal honey since I often buy it from other places but they were out of it, what’s totally okay. So I decided to check for different stuff, something that would be not just herbal but stronger but I ended up following the suggestion of the front desk woman, The one with a nice make up and that was nothing but polite and I appreciate that. I was about to buy also the strips that you put underneath of your tongue and it dissolves when I realized that the one they have from the same brand comes with just one strip instead the box with two that I usually buy from Smoke-shops around here. So i told her that they should think about selling the box with two since it’s almost the same price and people would be more interested buying, I know I would. It was just a suggestion and I’m a very polite person. The problem is this another woman talking from somewhere inside the store, I thought she was helping when i started feeling some condescension in her voice so I decided to avoid stress and finish buying the gumes and leave. Before i leave the store she finished saying “argh” very loud as if i was some homeless asking for help and somehow making her nauseated. That’s extremely offensive because I didn’t say anything wrong and no one should treat others that way. I left without confronting her because doesn’t worth but I’m making sure that her boss now that at least me never are going back that again. This person should not be in a job where she had to deal with people because she’s aggressive and condescending. I’m gonna make sure of letting my friends know about it too so we avoid this place. Very offended and disappointed. Now this message is for you that feels in the right of treating people this way, you don’t know people’s life, I myself came here to heal and I’m having a really bad time but I don’t allow myself to hurt others because that. You should consider to be more understanding about people’s feelings and not externalize your own problems on others. And you are not just being a toxic person but giving a bad reputation for the place that pays your salary. Be conscientious about your actions please, good with yourself and others. Kindness brings kindness to our lives and everyone are dealing with something and deserves at least respect.

It was our first time at pleasure chest and we had somewhat knew what we wanted, but def needed some guidance. We had two people help us, one of them being Sarah. They were so kind and informative with their recommendations, and made us feel super comfortable! Great selection and service when you want or need it. Super comfortable shopping experience and a knowledgeable staff if you have questions:). The selection is larger than any store I've been to and the value is certainly there.

Rude customer service. I came in to buy two things and after bought my stuff she asked for my receipt I said no thanks, she said "bye" in a very loud, annoyed way, crumpled up the receipt and scoffed, like I did something to offend her. Whoever the lady with the pink hair in her late 30's is, she is rude. Don't ever get an attitude with customers. Especially ones that don't even do anything. There are too many sex shops around weho I'll choose to go to a different one next time thanks.

Fun place to browse as a single or with your significant other. They also have ideal party, decorations, bachelorette parties, etc. Very friendly staff and the selection is endless. Easy parking, they will find something for everyone and help you out if you have any questions!

Store was clean and well stocked. I felt very comfortable in the store. Easy parking too, especially for the area. The staff was extremely well educated! Which was appreciated. The gentleman that assisted us, was super sweet. He was able to find items we were interested in and made great recommendations as well. This place is huge a lot to see it's a huge store. This place has almost everything you can think of even a whole sex bed frame. The Cashier Rich was very nice and very helpful chatted with us about everything from the toys featured in the store to things unrelated to the store even gave us advice on food around the area. Just a all around nice man. The prices were decent nothing seemed outrageously priced. I highly suggest if your ever in West Hollywood.

This place is got all kinds of stuff in here probably three times as much as any other store that you're gonna go into. From beginners all the way up to BDSM gear. Lotions outfits you name it these guys have it I've even picked out a couple toys for myself. SHHH I would absolutely recommend this place. It's a little far from my house probably a half an hour and there's about four other ones that are closer. I'd rather go to this place.

Went in yesterday with my gf. Usually going into these shops I've experienced super friendly staff, who ask if we're looking for anything specific. And answer any questions etc. Was literally not approached not once, even though the workers kept walking around us seeing us looking at items. Didn't really want to buy from them but my gf did anyway. As we approached to purchase the girl at the register didn't even say hi or was even slightly friendly lol. Looked like they were bothered asf to have people in there. Wasn't sure if they were just rude b*tches or what their problem was. They definitely didn't have a welcoming vibe. Was just talked into buying the Doxy 3 cause "it's way more powerful than the original hitachi". On paper yes, in the real world the doxy is like half the power at most, I own both. After 4 min of use it doesn't switch settings. Just wasted 300 bucks on this crap and accessory that only fits it.

You know, suppressing desires can lead to unhealthy outlets like food or felonies....so go on in to the pleasure chest and get you a battery operated friend, some leather or metal that feels good against your skin (or elsewhere) or some restraints that coordinate with the highlights in your hair. #Don'tBeAFatFelon.....And don't go there to cruise for dates or hook ups. Gosh, haven't been at The Pleasure Chest in a minute. But what I can tell you is that it's an amazing experience, all the staff are well educated and professional. My first time here and I am pleased with how upscale the place is with extensive collection of toys, tools and gears. Love all the leather collection, definitely high quality, price would range from $40-$200 for the outfit selection. The staff are not intimidating and informative. They offer free classess monthly I think? Which is very nice. Bought my first toy here in 2008! Lasted me a long time. Had literally no knowledge when I walked in and they sold me something perfect. Went back about a week ago and the staff was just as helpful as last time. And they were dancing while they helped me!! This is my favorite store of this genre. The staff is very friendly and helpful, and they create a comfortable atmosphere to ask questions. The shop is very well organized and has a few rooms/areas. They have everything you could need from toys to wardrobe. They even offer free classes. I'm so impressed with the community they create and the education. I attended a workshop here and it was full--so many people attended and the instructor was amazing, and it was a fun experience. Such a diverse group of people and we all felt comfortable asking questions. They have a parking lot and are open late.

Whenever I am in WeHo I will almost always stop by here to see what they have. They have an extensive selection of toys, lingerie, books, etc. You name it they got it! The staff is very knowledgeable and professional. They offer free classes if anyone is interested in a certain topic or want to elevate a skill. This is pretty rare in WeHo but, they have parking! If it's anyone's first time I would totally recommend checking out Pleasure Chest. It's a great place to pop your cherry.

In general, sex novelty toy shops make me blush. The Pleasure Chest is wildly impressive, though! The plethora of innovative goods for sexual pleasure and entertainment are seriously overwhelming. Huge 2 story store, there's free parking, & service here is great.

I've been a customer for years. The staff knows what they are selling. I am never made to feel dumb when I ask questions. They've got top quality - everything. I like that. I got rid of most of my lower quality toys last year and I'm replacing them with things that I get here.
