The Plough at Bolnhurst

Sat in this pub at the moment. Not eating but menu looks great(that's why I only gave 4 stars for food)Pretty busy for 1 pm with people eating. Amazing garden with lovely pond. And the staff were absolutely great. Can't do enough for you. 1st time here but will definitely be back to dine

As a delivery driver I was pleasantly surprised by the warm hospitality. During my break, the staff kindly offered me a coffee, which was such a thoughtful gesture. The atmosphere was welcoming, and the team was friendly and professional. It’s rare to have such a nice experience while on the job, and I truly appreciate their kindness. I’d definitely recommend this place for their great service and warm approach!

Wow wow wow … thank you for yet another wonderful evening at The Plough. From the moment you walk in your made to feel as though your friends of everyone here. Our table, in the Oak Room was laid up to perfection. The Service, ambience along with delicious and beautifully prepared food was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble - attentive but not intrusive. We were celebrating two birthdays amongst our group of six which the staff had duly noted. Prior to our desserts, the team member brought each of us birthday girls a personalised plate with home made chocolate. Mouthwatering good. Couldn’t praise the owners and staff enough for delivering a first class experience. We will be back! Thank you so much x

Really enjoyed our meal this evening. Food was excellent and the service and attentiveness were fantastic.

Truly excellent, helped by a rare, long, warm British Summer evening. Atmosphere was enjoyable, we were able to sit outside in a small decking area between the restaurant and the pub garden. Service brilliant. Staff were attentive and personable without being obsequious. Food was excellent. We tried a broad range from the menu and found every dish to be well conceived, beautifully cooked and well presented. Portions are generous. A rare moment of no food envy between the table as all dishes were equally good. Value for money is good, with pre-dinner nibbles, three courses, wine, and coffees totalling ca. £100/head. Will be back.

Having chosen the Plough from the Michelin guide, we had high expectations... which were superseded in every way! The food was cooked perfectly. The service from all the staff was attentive without being pretentious. And to top off the perfect evening, when we asked the lovely landlady if she could recommend a taxi, she got her husband to drop us back to our B&B in the nearby village of Colmworth.

A visit is a wonderful treat! Service and atmosphere is absolutely spot on. Friendly, warm, and quite peaceful. Food was faultless and very enjoyable! I would definitely recommend a visit. I intend to return for the Sunday roast.

Wonderful food, outstanding & professional service, and a beautiful, cosy environment by the floor-to-ceiling windows. Loved it here. Could have happily picked most of the menu choices but settled on scallop Thermidor to start then monkfish medallions for mains. Both were very flavoursome and the scallop was particularly well-cooked. Enjoyed the wines we drank too.
