I stumbled into The PoBoy Shop after a quick visit to the Wells Fargo next door, and I am so glad I did! The staff was incredibly warm and welcoming, and you can feel the pride and excitement they have for this new spot. The space is vibrant and inviting, with a dark green color scheme that gives it a cool, fresh vibe. I tried the fried shrimp PoBoy and was seriously impressed. The shrimp was seasoned to perfection — flavorful, crispy, and full of that classic Southern comfort. But the real surprise star? The fries. Hands down some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly seasoned with a kick of spice and so much flavor packed in every bite. To top it off, I had a huckleberry soda made with real cane sugar that was absolutely delicious. It was the perfect refreshing complement to the meal. If you’re in the area, make it a priority to check out The PoBoy Shop. Amazing staff, bold flavors, and a genuine sense of community. This place is going to be a hit!

Delicious sandwiches! I ordered the Debris (roast beef with gravy, lettuce and tomato). As a native Orleanian, this measured up very well to what I grew up with. The bread is authentic New Orleans French bread, which makes all the difference.

I just had the shrimp pony and the curly fries. Yummy. I’m from Louisiana so I’m a huge critic of any type of Cajun food (fried shrimp). 10 out of 10, I absolutely recommend. Seasoned well. Very tasty.

Nice spot right on the corner of Nw hwy 12. Turning left down preston Rd then berkshire might be easier then tryin to cross traffic to turn left off nw hwy 12. Owner informed people on how they came to be and what they're about. Very friendly, they get their bread from Louisiana. The shrimp brought in daily. Good portion size options (6 or 12 inch I believe). I had the shrimp poboy, had a shrimp with every bite, shrimp was breaded and seasoned well; it could've used more of the sauce (Cajun mayo), I'm sure you can always ask for extra. Overall great customer service and awesome food and will try again!

I passed by this location previously and promised myself that if I was in the area again I would visit. Parking was tight but I just parked in the shopping center parking lot across the street. It’s is a cozy place. About 5 tables. I ordered a dirty Cajun, gumbo and large shrimp po boy. Everything was good. I’m usually very critical of gumbo but it was good. Probably in the top five in the DFW area for a restaurant. The dirty Cajun was good. Wish I would have added that Cajun mayo and gotten it dressed but I will next time. The shrimp po boy was good dressed well and had shrimp in every bite. I usually just like mayo and hot sauce but I gave the cajun mayo a try and it was good on the sandwich. I’m from NOLA so I hate to break it to you. You are not getting corner store prices off Preston but I think it’s not over price based on everything location, food quality etc. The real sugar drinks are great! And there is every Zapps flavor you want. You should visit. I’ll be back.

Too much for too little mediocre flavor. The thing is that if you’re going to charge 14.95 for a Poboy make sure to advertise it as half sized. And include fries or a side. I was under the assumption it was a full sized sandwich.

The bread was the star! Soft and the most similar to New Orleans that I have experienced in dfw. Definitely, order a whole vs half PoBoy listed on the menu. I ordered the shrimp. It was tasty but for $24.00 I was still hungry.

Came in for grand opening weekend 😊Jess and Seph were super helpful and friendly. They gave me great recommendations that I will have to come back to try. I went with the classic shrimp poboy for my 1st time. Let me tell you I wish I had gotten a full sandwich because it was so delicious and fresh. Shrimp were seasoned perfectly! Thank you so much and I wish this business the best. For the haters saying it’s expensive… the owners come from a background of a meat deli , so they know a thing or two about the cuts of meat and a good quality place is worth the price 🫶

Had great New Orleans Po-boys! Today we had both the fried shrimp and debris roast beef and both were great. The service was also quick and friendly.

Not authentic po'boys. Unfortunately Dallas still needs a real po' boy shop. Bologna on a muffuletta?! You won't find bologna on any muffuletta bring severed at Central Grocery in NOLA where the sandwich started. Stop trying to make your own pickles! Pastrami po'boy... again you would be hard pressed to find a pastrami poboy on any menu in New Orleans. The only authentic part is the Zapps potato chips. Look, if you want a decent sandwich it's not a bad spot to grab a sandwich. They are trying! That's why I'm giving it three stars. But if you're looking for a poboy, this isn't the place. I hope the revise and expand the menu.

The use of "Cajun" is more loose than accurate, especially among those of Louisiana heritage. It's a spartan space in an historic center. The prices are inflated probably due to the high rent. Food did not meet expectations. I will give them an A for effort. Much better muffuletta at Jason's Deli And better sandwiches at The Great Outdoors Parking is horrible. I don't think this location has a long life.

A friend of mine brought over a sandwich from there. He got two debris sandwiches. I didn't eat mine because it had mayo and tomatoes on it, and I don't eat either. He got the smalls, and they were barely three inches long. THREE INCH sandwich for $11! WOW!

I've been excited to try this new sandwich shop, and I finally had time to stop in. It's a small space, nicely decorated and clean, there's minimal seating. I ordered half a roast beef and cheese cold sub. I have no issues with the sandwich, it tasted great. The bread was especially good. The prices are a little steep. The average price of a full-sized sandwich is $19.00. My total was $12.43 for a tiny half sandwich. I'd definitely stop in again, but this won't become a frequent stop.

We went back for the second time this week and tried a few more sandwiches. The Hot Pastramai was my husband's favorite! I had to get the shrimp again - only I got it with pepperjack cheese, Cajun mayo and pickles only. It was amazing. We also tried the Dirty Sanchez - a grilled boudin poboy topped with jalapenos. All of the sandwiches were out of this world.

I was born and raised in NOLA and have to say that the fried shrimp poboy tasted just like home! The shrimp had that freshness that only comes with gulf seafood, the French bread was "right" - tender on the inside and flaky on the outside, and the service was fast and friendly. If you want an authentic New Orleans style Poboy - RUN, don't walk, to The Poboy Shop! Highly recommend!!

Had the boudin and Cajun fries and it was all great. It's a small place, but food comes out quick and table turn over quickly as well.

Tried for the first time. Had the hot pastrami, which I would give an average rating due to the meat being extremely dry even with mustard and cheese. The bread actually accentuated the dryness of the meat. If you like NY style pastrami, this is not the same. Service was friendly. Based on this one experience, I prefer Jimmy's Italian market and East Hampton sandwiches. The sandwiches just have more flavor to me.
